And if people are recognizing you, well, this time, I'm going to actually solve that problem, because most of you are probably like, okay, great, I need to be consistent. How do I be consistent, and I get it, because things are busy, you've got a lot of hats that you're wearing in your company, you're trying to be all the things you're trying to do customer service, you're trying to do client retention, check on your churn, be a good leader to all of your employees, probably be innovative, and keep up with your website. And this goes without notice that yes, our doors are open for better marketing with Bella right now, better marketing with Bella is an excellent program. I started it, January of 2018. Episode 361: The Dangers of Using AI to Market Your Pet Business
Is your pet business considering the leap into the world of AI-driven marketing? While it may seem like an enticing prospect, promising enhanced customer engagement and increased profitability, have you ever paused to wonder about the hidden dangers that could be lurking beneath the surface? In the realm of promoting pet-related services and products, using artificial intelligence can be a bit like walking a tightrope. In this episode of "Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast," we will explore the rising trend of artificial intelligence (AI) in marketing. AI presents both opportunities and challenges for businesses. It's not a one-size-fits-all solution, and understanding its nuances is essential. Introducing Magai, an affordable AI tool suitable for small pet businesses looking to harness AI's power. AI isn't a magic fix; it requires quality content input. While it excels at data analysis and predictions, it can't create compelling content on its own. Training the software to align with your brand and audience is vital. Customize it with your brand voice and values. However, remember not to rely exclusively on AI-generated content. Human touch is crucial for customer engagement. Use it as a supplementary tool, not a replacement. Consider outsourcing marketing tasks to experts to balance your workload. Embrace it's potential while staying true to your brand and maintaining personal connections with your customers. Topics & Key Points: Understanding AI: AI is not just a buzzword; it's a tool that can revolutionize your pet business. But it's crucial to understand it and use it correctly to avoid pitfalls. AI in marketing: I've shared some insights on the potential dangers of using AI for marketing a local pet business. Remember, AI is programmed to target a global audience, so it's essential to tailor it to your local market needs. The Magic of Magi: My friend Dustin Stout's creation, Magi, is an affordable AI tool that's worth exploring. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with AI and stay ahead of the curve. AI training: I've dedicated a month in our mastermind group to AI, with guest speakers providing training on leveraging AI in business. It's a treasure trove of knowledge you wouldn't want to miss! The importance of strategy: Whether it's AI or social media, having a well-thought-out strategy is key. It's not about just doing it; it's about doing it right. Episode 355: Why You Need Systemized Pet Sitter Training…and How To Leverage It!
What sets an exceptional pet sitter apart from the rest? The answer lies in the power of systemized pet sitter training. Gone are the days when pet sitting was seen as a casual gig; today, it's a bona fide profession that requires a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and client expectations. In this episode of Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast, I want to talk about something that's really important in the pet care industry - standardized training. You see, it's crucial for all team members to be on the same page when it comes to taking care of our furry friends. That's why I believe in having a training system that's easy to follow and understand. I think it's also important to cater to different learning styles. We all learn in different ways, so incorporating different methods like videos, hands-on training, and written materials can really make a difference. Another thing I want to emphasize is the importance of showcasing your training system. By displaying it on your website and social media platforms, you're showing potential clients that you take their pets' care seriously. It instills trust and security in them. That's why I'm so excited to introduce you to Pet Care Team Training, a company I co-founded. We offer a program that provides standardized training for pet care businesses. It's a comprehensive system that covers everything from basic pet care to advanced techniques. And here's the best part - I want to offer you a special deal. As a listener of this podcast, you can try our program for free. Just visit our website and sign up for a trial. I know you'll love it! So let's make sure our furry friends are in good hands by implementing standardized training in the pet care industry. Together, we can make a difference! That tells me that your messaging and marketing and social media have not done a good enough job of changing the barometer.” [00:05:11] “ To be standardized, it means that I can follow along your workflow, your script on it, or you could hand it off to Tom, Dick or Harry.” [00:09:15] “Showing and telling and bragging about how great your standardized system is can help you tremendously. But I don't see anyone do it.” [00:14:57] “Wherever or whatever standardized program you get for training you need it for many different reasons. You need to make sure that everyone gets the same experience, the training. You need to let your clients know that everyone is trained the same way. We're doing good or we're not doing good.” [00:02:19] [00:03:14] “Numbers matter. Your business numbers matter. The revenue numbers matter. Your client total. All of that matters. But it can be a real pain to try to figure out which ones you should be tracking.” [00:03:25] [00:03:58] “If you guys are using a debit card right now to pay for anything in your business, you're not leveraging what you could be. I highly recommend applying for a credit card, a business credit card, and get your business credit going and you can earn points that way.” [00:04:16] [00:07:11] “By tracking those numbers and analyzing them regularly, you can gain valuable insights into your performance and then be able to make informed decisions on what you should do.” [00:07:21] [00:08:02] “While you might not love numbers as a business owner, as a responsible business owner, you need to know some of these business numbers.” [00:08:11] [00:08:33] “Your Google Analytics is the epitome of if you had a storefront, you want to know how many people come in your door a day, right? Why? Because most of you guys have an online scheduling system that is hosted on a third-party website.” [00:10:04] [00:10:30] “There are so many statistics that the more people read on your website and watch, the more likely they are to buy your product or service because they are invested.” [00:10:41] [00:13:03] “Failure is the greatest lesson we can have. And so you want to fail forward. You want to fail fast. You want to learn everything from that failure so that you can tweak and adjust. It's testing, you can tweak and adjust and keep going.” [00:13:16] [00:14:51] “If your 20 minutes is $20, then your 30 minutes should be $30. But most of the time your 20 minutes is $20 and your 30 minutes is like $24. That doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense, nor does it make sense that a lot of people who charge by time don't charge by time.” [00:15:10] Links: Resources Podcast: Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast Join Mastermind Email Bella: [email protected] Connect with Bella Website Facebook Instagram YouTube Did you love this episode? Episode 336: Trends I Am Seeing In The Pet Business Industry
In this episode of " Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast," I discuss three pet business trends I see right now that you should be jumping on. As a former pet business owner myself, I can recognize pet business trends such as: Standing in your own power when communicating price increases to clients, and considering virtual consultations as a way to streamline your processes and save time. Lastly, take note of the increasing number of pet walking and sitting companies also offering dog training services. What pet business trends have you been seeing lately in business? Does anything big stand out to you? Let me know! Also, if you're thinking about numbers in your business, I will be discussing crucial numbers that are essential for every pet business owner to be aware of. Don't forget to tune in to stay updated with the latest developments in the ever-changing landscape of the pet business. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy it! Topics Discussed and Key Points: Three noteworthy trends currently shaping the pet industry. You should get a return on investment on everything.” [00:02:29] [00:02:56] “I do not want you paying someone to do something for 10 hours that could be really done in 2 hours. Stop complicating it.” [00:03:04] [00:04:40] “If you have the right systems and processes and the right questions and the right onboarding for clients, you don't necessarily even need a consultation, but let alone you could do a virtual consultation, you actually could be pretty effective.” [00:04:58] [00:06:44] “2020 changed you know us all and the dogs and the humans started really spending a lot of time together and they the humans kind of became codependent on the dogs to the point they don't ever want to leave them alone. And it has caused these adverse behaviors that almost need to be untied.” [00:07:01] Links: Resources Podcast: Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast Email Bella: [email protected] Website Marcus Sheridan Petcare by Jessica in Connecticut Jenni Peaceful Paws Petcare Connect with Bella Website Facebook Instagram YouTube Did you love this episode? Episode 335: 4 Things You Should Stop Doing On Social Media So You Can Start Getting Results
Social media is a great way to connect with your customers and build trust, but it can also be a huge time-sink. We all know that social media is a big part of our business. It's where people are, and it's where they talk about your business in the most positive ways. That’s why you need to get it right! But how do you start getting results on social media? How do you grow your audience and make more sales? In this episode of the Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast, I will share four things that business owners should stop doing on social media to get better results. Emphasizing the importance of having a strategy for social media highlights, engaging with the audience, including others in posts, and creating evergreen posts. My advice is practical and actionable. These tips are part of the strategies taught in Better Marketing with Bella. Topics Discussed and Key Points: The importance of having a strategy for your highlights and making sure they reflect your goals for social media. The importance of engaging with followers who comment, answer questions, or like posts to increase visibility and reach. The importance of collaborations, tagging clients, and emailing clients to make them feel included and interested in your social media content. The importance of creating evergreen posts Tips for creating effective social media posts Timestamps: [00:35] Introducing today’s show [02:25] Your highlights [03:33] Ignoring engagement [04:33] Not including anyone in your posts [05:15] Meaningless posts that can’t be reused [05:46] Recap Notable Quotes: [00:02:26] “There are two things on your highlights. One of them is it is a really good chance for you to brand your company and to have your branding shine through with the pictures that are on all of those brandings.” [00:02:39] [00:03:01] “A lot of the time I know you're just throwing highlight reels up there to be like, Hey there. But like, unless they actually have a purpose, you're actually doing yourself a disservice.” [00:03:10] [00:03:43] “When people press “see more” or they scroll through on a carousel ad that actually counts as engagement, but you don't really know who does that. I'm talking about engagement or people like a story or a post. I'm talking about the engagement or people answering a question or a pull or comments.” [00:04:02] [00:04:59] “And a lot of you are saying, oh, well, social media doesn't work because you're expecting everyone to care about what you do. And the simple matter of fact is that they don't. You have to almost make them care. And there are certain ways that you can do that.” [00:05:12] [00:05:22] “Evergreen posts are something that really works really well, that they're timeless. It doesn't matter what time of year it is or what time of day it is, what day of the week it is. They are posts that can literally be posted whenever you feel like it.” [00:05:37] [00:06:52] “If you feel like social media doesn't work, you should definitely join our program because I'm going to teach you how to make social media work.” [00:07:00] Links: Resources Podcast: Bella in Your Business: Pet Industry Business Podcast Better Marketing with Bella Bella’s book: The Four Types of Dogs Every Business Needs Email Bella Website Connect with Bella Website Facebook Instagram YouTube Did you love this episode? I believe when this is posted, which is also Groundhog Day. Does your life feel like Groundhog Day? Does your business feel like Groundhog Day where you get up and you do the same thing every single day and you're not moving forward? If you answered yes to that, chances are that it's because you have a hiring problem. And as always, I want to come in and help you save the day. But first, I want to actually play something for you. This was from one of our listeners back on episode number 321. It was called four easy steps to ask for testimony. And while you absolutely should, I also included a downloadable script for you for free. But I got this voice note from someone and I want you to hear it. Oh my god, Bella. I'm listening to of course spelling your business and my car. And I'm listening to the testimonial episode. And I flipping love it. I can't wait to execute all the steps. When I'm done driving, I'm gonna listen again. And write down all the nose. You are amazing. I love that in your business. Isn't that great? That is actually from Becky Lee, who was just on the podcast back on episode 222. And she talked all about how she was kicking butt with hiring, and marketing, and all of that stuff, you guys, it should not go unnoticed that the people that listen to the podcast and then implement things from the podcast, the mastermind better marketing, they see results. You heard from Connie, probably 20 or 30 episodes ago, where I had told you guys and taught you how to respond to people who are DMing you in a way that like stands out and lands you the sale. And you heard from Connie like 20 episodes ago on how she like literally landed the sale and gained hundreds of dollars. So you guys, the doers, see the results. And I promise I don't just talk out here for like an experiment like stuff works. And it's super exciting. When I see your success, I get really energized by it. It helps me live my purpose. But listen, if you are one of those people out there today who feel like it is Groundhog Day, because guess what it is at the time of this posting. And you're just going through the same thing over and over and over again. It's also sometimes the definition of insanity. A lot of you I've been asking and talking with you on Instagram right now. And a lot of you have said that, you know, yeah, I want to hire but there's no one to hire or I get ghosted, or I just can't find anyone or they just don't work out or they quit, or, or or and I get it because the whole hiring process is it's very discouraging. It's very depressing as a business owner, right? You understand deep down whether you're conscious of it or not, that your net worth is your net work, okay, which in this case is the employees or your internal staff, your operations, whoever you have around you. And if we can't get great people on our team, then we can not move our business forward, which means we can not live out our vision or accomplish goals or have that quality of life that so many
Episode 324: How To Find A Business Mentor That Will Help You Thrive
Are you feeling lost and unsure of where to turn as you navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship? It may be time to seek out a business mentor who can provide valuable advice, support, and encouragement. I think it's important to have a few mentors in your life, especially when it comes to running a business. These people can provide valuable support, advice, and encouragement as you navigate the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship. But finding a good business mentor isn't always easy, and it requires a bit of effort and perseverance. One thing I see a lot is people blindly following anyone who calls themselves a mentor, without really knowing if they have the experience and expertise to truly help them. That's why I've been so open and transparent on this podcast - I want you to understand who I am and what I stand for, because it's not enough to just reuse what other people are saying without actually doing the work. So, how do you find a business mentor that will actually help you thrive? This week I am diving in to help you discover exactly how and who will help you succeed. Biggest Takeaways: 2:15 Identify goals 4:14 Ask for recommendations 4:33 Join professional organizations 5:13 Attend conferences 6:10 Use online tools and resources 6:39 Be proactive and persistent 11:28 Trust their guidance Recommendations: Business mentors are a key component to helping businesses thrive. Having that person to help guide you, answer questions or just be an ear of support makes all the difference in the world. The Jump Mastermind is a place where business owners come together to grow and scale their businesses while having 24/7 support at their finger tips. Links: Better Marketing With Bella Bella Vasta Instagram Mastermind Group Transcript: Welcome to another episode of Bella in your business. My name is Bella Vasta, your host, I want to thank you for spending some time with me. I hope you've been enjoying the new podcast this year. And don't forget to like and subscribe and maybe even leave us a review. We'd love it if you, you know, heard something really good about you. And if you want to know more inspired share it. We're focusing on trying to get as many ears on the podcast as possible this year. And you could be a really big help for us to do that. So without further ado, let's get going on today's show, a business mentor, and how can you find one that will help you thrive? Now mentorship comes in so many different fashions. They can be a paid structured thing to you think Gary, you say Gary Vee is one of your mentors because you follow Him and you listen to everything that that man puts out, which is a lot. And he doesn't know it, it's kind of like a one-way kind of thing. But that also is a mentor. So there's a very big spectrum. And, but you should have one or two or three, a bunch of them. And I would argue if you're listening to this podcast, I might be one of them for you, which would be an extreme honor. But I want you to kind of think about this stuff. Because I think that we need mentors in our life, for everything. I mean, not necessarily a mentor for every single area. But it's always good to have some smart people around us that we can rely on and know that they're gonna give us sage advice. And so today, I'm going to give you six things, a big overview to look through, and then I'm going to cut through all the crap, I'm gonna give you seven hardcore things to think about, it's gonna be a quick episode. So you might if you are able to get out your pen and paper because I'm going to kind of go through this pretty fast. But like I was saying, finding a business mentor can be very valuable and rewarding because it's going to allow you to gain insight and guidance from someone with more experience and expertise. In the business world. A good business mentor could provide support, advice, and encouragement, and they can help you navigate all the challenges and opportunities of running a business. However, finding a business mentor isn't always easy. And it requires a bit of effort and perseverance. One of the things that I see is people blindly following people, and they have no idea if their house is made of sand or gold. And it makes me cringe. So bad. It's one of the reasons why I've been so open with you guys and over-shared maybe at some points on this podcast because I want you to truly understand who I am and what I stand for. Because it's not just enough to slap together some Canva template and reuse what other people have been saying. And try to say it for yourself. There are s

And today I've got a really special guest for you. Her name is Stephanie. And we have known each other I don't even know, a year or two, maybe. But she has come in like a wrecking ball. Just like Becky we had on the episode last week. And and I really wanted you guys to hear straight from Stephanie's mouth, how the impact of having a community around her has helped change her mindset and her business. So without further ado, Stephanie, welcome to the show. Hi, thank you for having me. Why don't you tell our guests a little bit about your background and where you're from? What about your businesses and how they can stalk you on socials? And just give them a flavor of who you are. Yeah, absolutely. So my name is Stephanie surgeon. I own a dog walking and pet-sitting business in Chicago, the downtown area of Chicago, Illinois, and it's called Chicago urban pets. You can find us we're mainly active on Instagram, some Facebook to just Chicago urban pets. So pretty simple to find. And next year, we're celebrating 10 years in business. Whoo, that is amazing. Yeah, it's very exciting. That's absolutely amazing. And so being in Chicago, I'm sure you have your own set of highs and lows with the weather and things, things being snowy, and you also operate in the city. Something interesting about you is that, at least as of now, a lot of your staff they don't even have cars, right? Yeah, so we don't use they're actually part of our interview process. That has been really improved. Thanks to Bella and her mastermind content, we actually sort of red flag people who think they're gonna do this driving, because we are in such a dense residential area. Downtown, there's very little parking, so everything is by foot or public transportation. Yeah, so unique. I love it. And that's something else. I think that a lot of our listeners, sometimes all of us honestly, me too, is sometimes we get into that mindset of Oh, no, it's my area. That's the problem. It's my area. But the mindset to get you through that is figuring out solutions to things sure every business not going to be the same. But everything has to adapt. So why don't you bring us back to before he joined the mastermind? You had made a post I think last week you had said you were like almost ready to give up on your business or you're just so down and out about it. Can you bring us back to about that point? What challenges and woes and feelings were you having? About? I have this dog walking company. Yeah, absolutely. So as I mentioned, we're going 10 years so when COVID hit, we were probably you know already seven years in and I was pretty comfortable. I, I was you know, happy with what we were making. In terms of income, I sort of set it up to be a little bit going on i

My goodness, I'm so excited to be here with you, we have so much in store for you this year that you, you're gonna be blown away, I have kind of personally sat down, and I'm going to be going in pretty heavy on hiring and hiring methods. I've learned a lot over the past two years working with all of you guys. And I've really understood how proper phases and hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training how that entire process is so sorely neglected. And it is the root cause for a lot of the reasons why people are not having success in hiring. And not just in the pet industry. So I'm letting the cat out of the bag here a little bit. Before we get into today's topic about getting testimonies from your clients, and I have something free for you. But this year, I'm going to be focusing a lot on that. And you are going to be getting the fruits of that labor over and over again, I have so much written I have like over 10,000 words, written so far, all broken up into tiny sections and details and nitty gritty. And I'm going to be showing you a lot of that starting in February here on the podcast. So you're definitely not going to want to miss that. This month, we also have a really cool interview coming up with two of them, we're going to change the cadence of me sitting here talking with you. And we're going to be bringing on Becky Lee, and Stephanie Sargent from that they're in the mastermind and better marketing, but you're gonna hear their unique individual stories, and how they've gone about the kind of coming through COVID and dominating their markets, it's definitely going to be inspirational, and really motivating. I got motivated, just by talking to them and recording the interviews. So those are also coming up this month. So the best thing that you could do for me right now would be to like, subscribe, and share. And if you're really daring, I love for you to drop a review. Anywhere that you listen to this podcast, that would really help us we're really focused on growing our listeners, our weekly listener numbers. Because you know, this is really the intimate spot. This is where I get to talk to you guys every single week. And it's just you and me. Kind of, and I just really enjoy this time with you. So I hope that I'm asking for your help if you could go ahead and do that. Now something that has happened time and time again, as I've been talking to people, they're all but Bella, they care so much about price. But Bella, I can't charge that much. And there's a tool that I don't think is used enough.

In any case, get ready because you're about to get your hashtag Bella Butt Kickin' in this next episode of Bella in Your Business. So what do you say? Let's get ready and jump. Welcome everybody to episode 320 of Bella in Your Business. It is December 15th. We are almost at Christmas, the end of 2022. I'm not going to say where the year go. The year was 12 months long, just like it always is. And it's been a really awesome year. I don't know about you, but I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for listening. And our podcast keeps growing and growing and growing. I just want to make sure that you have hit that subscribe button. Make sure that wherever you're listening to this podcast, whatever podcast player, that you hit that subscribe button. That would help us tremendously and would be a really great and easy way for you to say thank you if you are listening and find value in this. We are also going to be taking a break from the show for the next two weeks. We do this every single year. It’s a chance to kind of take one thing off the plate for our entire amazing team. Chris has been with me for, my gosh, like years. I don't even know how many years. Always doing podcast production, which basically means anytime I cough, sneeze, or my child comes bursting in here and I have to stop the podcast, he takes care of that. He also makes sure that the sound levels are good and adds the intro and outro onto it. So Chris is amazing. And then we get Jillian on the show notes, making sure that that all also happens. So anytime you read, “what’s this podcast about?” that is definitely Jillian. So we’re going to give them a nice little break for two weeks—they don’t have to do this anymore. But guys, today we’re going to talk about feeling in a rut. Have you ever felt that way with your business? Feeling stuck? I really want to talk to you about that today because I think there’s a lot of pressure that’s put on knowing what you’re going to be doing in 2023. And this is when we should be planning. I’ll tell you the truth—in 2021, I actually did my whole staycation thing and tried to plan, and I couldn’t plan. You know what happened? I wasn’t meant to plan because this year was a lot of growth for me personally and in business and my organizational structure and adding to the team and all of this stuff. It was more of a structural year for me, not a growth year. Sometimes when that happens and when you feel like you should be doing more and getting bigger or making all these goals and plans and you don’t, then you kind of feel like you’re in a rut and you can’t get out of it. Then you start getting down on yourself. I mean, come on, have you ever been there? But today’s podcast, I want to show you that there’s always a way. I’m also going to talk about common reasons why we feel stuck in our business, tips for identifying the root causes, and strategies for breaking free from the business rut—including setting goals, networking, and seeking support. We’re going to talk about the import

Hi there, I'm Bella Vasta from Jump Consulting. You might know me from CBS, NBC, Fox, Huffington Post, Entrepreneur, or maybe you've seen me speak on stage or read my book, The Four Dogs That Every Business Owner Needs. In any case, get ready because you're about to get your hashtag Bella Butt Kickin' in this next episode of Bella in Your Business. So what do you say? Let's get ready and jump. Welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. My name is Bella Vasta. Today, I'm here to talk about more profits. You have heard me say time and time again, the ship can only sail as good as the captain of the ship. Am I right? You can't see the iceberg ahead if you're down on the deck mopping the floors or better yet taking a nap because you're so exhausted. So guys, do you want to have more profits? I'm going to tell you exactly what you need to do right now. Because so many of us are running around like chickens with our heads cut off or with blinders on, or we're just focusing on the tiny little pictures and we're not really soaring high above the clouds like an eagle at 30,000 feet. Actually, do eagles soar at 30,000 feet? Anyone know? Let me know. You know what I mean. And I want you to ask yourself, what are you doing with your time? What are you reading? What are you listening to? What are you watching? I want you to understand that you do not need to have all the time in the world to do things. It starts so simply. It starts so little. It starts with listening to an audiobook while you're brushing your teeth, washing your face, and maybe you're, maybe not, putting on makeup or moisturizer. It starts as little as that. These are all aspects that are huge influences of your own personal self-development. And as a business leader—because you are a leader—you need to be developing and growing. If you're not intentional about it, then what's going to happen is the nightly news or the morning news or the different radio stations or the different Facebook groups that just happen to come across your feed or on your TV are influencing you. You are either directly controlling your influences—where you spend your time, what you're reading, what you're listening to, what you're watching—or you're passively letting it happen. Which are you right now? Are you living intentionally? So the first thing I want to talk to you about is, do you understand how you're feeling? Do you understand why you feel the way you feel or why you're triggered by something? Are you someone who gets angry easily? Or something sets you off and you just get flustered? Because usually, anger is behind some sort of undealt pain. I got a message—God, I'm going to go here—I got a message this Sunday over Thanksgiving. I posted a graphic and it said, “Gratefulness cannot exist while you're depressed.” And I got that message because I've read that multiple times in many different places. And I agree with it. But something happened. One, I had a spelling error in it. And gosh darn it, this is why I
Episode 318: Bedbugs, Boundaries, And Business: How To Be A Person Of Your Word
How does it feel when you cannot trust someone? But I think the better question we should ask is, what if you do not trust yourself? You might be thinking, how am I not trusting myself? How can you be the affirmative leader and make sure your staff trusts your word? Welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. I hope your Thanksgiving was great. I am back with another kind of like heartfelt podcast episode for you today, and it basically comes down to how do you know if your staff really trusts you? When we're talking about this, this is way bigger than just your staff. This is going to be a very introspective podcast where I want you to really consider like, hey, there’s a point here. This also, of course, comes from my own very personal experiences. I've learned so much in my life this year. It's probably been one of the biggest growth years for me personally. And from it, it really makes me happy and excited, and I want to share it with you. So I'm going to do my best because everything that happens in our personal life also relates to our business, right? So I'm talking today really about trusting yourself and others—and others trusting you. I want you to really think about this, and I'm going to start off with a couple of stories. There was this person that came into my life a couple of years ago, and we were supposed to meet up and just hang out and grab lunch. It was literally like a half hour before I was supposed to go out, and he’s like, “I found out that the hotel I was staying at had bed bugs. I have to get all of my stuff into bags, fumigate, and buy all new things.” That’s really random, right? But the interesting thing about this is that prior to him actually saying that to me, I did not want to meet up. I was not feeling well emotionally—not necessarily physically, but emotionally. I was just feeling down and out. A series of events had happened and I kind of just wanted to stay at home and not talk to anybody. And I was actually happy when he told me that he had bed bugs and had to take care of it. It developed into this conversation because he told me about the bed bugs, he felt really bad, and I was like, “You know what, John, I actually don’t mind because I have some stuff going on and it actually works out well for me.” And he said, “Well, Bella, if I didn’t cancel on you, would you have canceled with me?” And I said, “No, John, I gave you my word that I would show up. My word is my bond. It’s what I grew up around.” And he goes, “But Bella, why aren’t you honoring yourself? Your yes needs to mean yes and your no needs to mean no. Because if we had showed up, I know you wouldn’t have brought your Bella, and I would’ve known something was off. And then I wouldn’t know if it was me or if there was something wrong with you—it just would’ve been off, you know? You wouldn’t have shown up as your best self because honestly, you wouldn’t have wanted to be there.” And it was kind of profound. And I really hope I’m conveying tha

In any case, get ready because you're about to get your hashtag Bella Butt Kickin' in this next episode of Bella in Your Business. So what do you say? Let's get ready and jump. So my eight-year-old got me sick. She had a fever for like a day, and then I was knocked out for three days. Hi, Bella Vasta here again. While I was sitting there on the couch, Netflix and chilling, I saw this series and it kind of inspired this podcast episode: Are the toxic relationships in your life ruining your business? Yeah, stay with me. Ooh boy, we’re gonna get into it today. But first, the show that really sparked this for me—it was called The Mind, Explained. There are two seasons on it, and just to give you an idea of what they talk about, they're like about 20-ish-minute episodes, so good bite sizes: how to focus, teenage brain, personality, creativity, brainwashing, memory, dreams, anxiety, mindfulness, and psychedelics. Like I said, there are two seasons, and it was really interesting because I watched maybe four or five of them, and I just kind of really started thinking about how our brain is affected by our environment. I also started thinking about toxic relationships because we have all either been the toxic person in a relationship—let’s be honest—or we have experienced a toxic relationship. And then depending on, of course, how we were brought up or how healed we are, it depends on how we’ve tolerated them. And unfortunately, in being a nurturer and empathetic pet lover, a lot of people that I come across are people pleasers and don’t have strong boundaries, kind of like we alluded to and talked about on the last episode. So I thought this was really important to kind of explore together. And so today we’re going to be talking about just that because I think it’s really important for you to just start thinking about, are the toxic cycles ruining your business relationships? So first, if you’re looking for something to Netflix and chill on, I highly recommend it—they have so many great documentaries on there. There’s also Money, Explained. It’s a whole series of a series, all different types of things. But it got me thinking, and I told you a little bit about a coaching call I had last episode. But I wanted to go into that and bring it up a little bit because I think every single one of us can relate to that situation. It’s the reason why I tell you guys not to be held hostage in your business. And it’s why I want you to always be the boss in charge. I want you to always be hiring. I want you to always be able to remove someone off your team and replace someone. I don’t ever want the excuse of “I don’t hav

It is that time, you guys. I hope it is okay. And I guess I will find out if it's okay that I use some copyrighted material really quickly on the beginning of the podcast. But what better way to get you into the mindset that I'm going to be talking about today than to just start off with my good old friend, Mariah Carey. No, she's not really my friend, but you know, I'd like to think that sometimes around the holidays. Whose favorite song is that not? Even my almost 60 year old wait, no, 70 year old father loves that song. You guys welcome back to another episode of Bella in your business. I am Bella Vasta and we're going to be easing on into the end of the year here. I've got some interesting episodes coming for you and it's literally from my heart. I was feeling the feels a couple of weeks ago and I got out my notebook as those of you who work closely with me know that I'm a big proponent of getting out pen and paper and actually writing things down. because I feel like you get more creative. Today, our topic is different than most. We are going out on a limb in a way, and we're gonna be talking a little bit about how to make it easy to practice self-care during the holiday rush. Now, don't let that buzzword of self-care turn you off, okay? Because I've got some things that I really wanna talk to all my people pleasers, my people who are bad with boundaries, myself included. side note, if you have any good book suggestions on boundaries, I would love your suggestions because I'm out there looking for my own books on boundaries because I believe in self-development as you know and always learning and actually, no, I'm not going to go off that tempted, but I've been reading a lot or rather should I say listening a lot because I am an audible girl. Fun fact. side fact for you guys, if you ever do find your mind wandering, maybe you have ADHD or ADD, or you're just completely distracted all the time, or maybe reading a book, your brain wanders or you fall asleep. Something I found that really works for me is I listen to Audible at 1.5 or 2.0 speed. And when I do that, I find that my brain has to stay really engaged because it's talking so fast. And maybe you guys listen to the podcast. on a faster speed too. Almost every single player you do allows you to talk on a faster speed. Now, I already talk fast, but you could up it a little bit. It saves you time, but you still get the content. But yeah, I've been listening to books on 2.0 and I've done a back. I used to do two books a month and I'm back to t

Welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. My name is Bella Vasto, and today I know our last episode, it was a little bit longer, and at least my stats show that you guys like it when they're at like 10, 15 minutes. And the last one was 25. I got a little excited. What can I say? This one, we're going to keep it a little bit more shorter, succinct, and direct. And it's going to be good food for thought. So if you are driving from one visit to another, this is going to be a good podcast for you. Let's get into it. Today, we're going to talk more about Book More, Work Less—how to use these little-known social media tools to market your business. Now, I don't want you to discredit this. If I say something and you're like, yeah, I already know about that one, hear me out. Because chances are you might not be using it to the capability that I'm intending to tell you about today. So let's get straight into it. I mean, there's no secret that social media is the biggest flex a business can have today. I mean, I could name so many of my clients that are killing it because they started in with Better Marketing with Bella—jumpconsulting.net/marketing, by the way, the doors are closing like tomorrow—and they have come in and they took their social media from, “I don't even know how to do a story,” to they are now getting people applying to work for them because their social media looks so amazing and because the stories that they're telling on it are so amazing. So it truly is the biggest flex and it's like the most underused tool that we have. But sometimes business owners don't know every aspect that they can be utilizing to fully leverage these platforms in the easiest way. And so I'm going to explain some hidden tools that I think you should be using to help your business. The first one, and I don't want you to roll your eyes because I would if I was listening to you—hear me out—it's Meta Business Suite. It's a free tool that centralizes Facebook and Instagram and the messaging tools all in one place so you can save time, create connections with more people, and get better business results. It allows business owners to schedule their content in less time while growing and managing their social media platforms. Now, this is something that is completely free. And it is annoying because they often change it. Facebook has created so many jobs for Facebook ads and analysts because it just keeps getting more and more confusing and hard to und

Welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. My name is Bella Vasta and I want you to imagine something with me today. Imagine waking up never having to worry about what you need to post that day. Or if you remembered an important national holiday, imagine never having that stress because you scheduled your content a few weeks ago. I know so many of you because I've heard it. Leia, before she was in the Better Marketing with Bella program, used to literally spend an hour a day creating Canva stuff. And it was the creativity that was just getting sucked out of her, eliminating creativity for other areas of her life, like playing with her kids or what's for dinner or whatever. You have to understand that social media is creative. You have to be creative with it. And that takes a certain amount of energy — and that energy you only have so much of. But not just that, it's your mental health, you guys. It's your mental health, the feeling, the addition of, "I'm not good enough," or "I don't know what I should be doing," or "my gosh, it was National Hug Your Dog Day and I didn't put anything out. I really should be putting something out. I'm a pet business." All of these feelings — we have this in every other area of our business at some point or another, because we're all human. The “I'm not good enough” or “I'm not doing enough,” right? I know that you're listening right now and this is resonating with you because no one's immune to it. But there's something that you can do when it comes to social media marketing — not advertising, social media marketing — that you can put it on autopilot for the next four weeks in just 60 minutes. The only thing that would be left for social media when I'm done with you in this podcast is that you'd have to do a simple “share to story” click and maybe some engagement or maybe some outreach, which we've talked about in other episodes. Imagine what it would mean for your business if you just spent an hour a month and then really figured out your content and scheduled it. What would that look like for you? Batching content is the key to lowering stress within the social media aspect of your business and leveraging what you've already got in front of you and using it to its best capacity. You have to kind of think like a journalist. And when you know what your stories are, a.k.a. your buckets that we've also talked about, it makes things a lot easier. If you're struggling over your buckets, then your buckets aren't good. Your buckets need a little bit of a realignment. But how can you put your marketing on autopilot for

I just want to give a big shout out right now to Paws Oasis, Ceela, who is in the mastermind and also a great podcast listener. She requested that we have longer episodes. The thing is, she's training for a marathon. You go, girlfriend. That's amazing. And while I can't give you a very long episode because it's just not the format, I really appreciate that I get to be in your ears while you are training. And I don't take that lightly. And that's funny—my phone just binged on cue. I'm not going to record this again. But I'm also wondering if when that stuff goes off, if you have an iPhone or you have the similar tones, if that kind of makes your brain go like, “Is someone contacting me?” Because that happens with me. I don’t know about you guys. Also, most recently, I saw Becky from Paws Around Motown post this incredible video and it was her and her husband, I think it is, dancing on their porch with the dog. And it was hilarious. I just shared it to my Instagram story with the caption just talking about how I'm just so amazed at how far Becky has come. I'll never forget when Becky first came into the Jump Consulting Orbit. She came in like she has arrived. She came into Better Marketing with Bella, she joined the mastermind, and we did intensives and we restructured her business. And I always think back to August of 2021, when I was in Chicago, meeting with some other clients and Becky came in from Michigan and stayed the night and just did an intensive with me. And I brought like my selfie sticks and my setup, you know, just to kind of show her how to use Instagram. And it is just so amazing to me to see how far she's come. If you want to see what I mean, go to @pawsaroundmotown and you guys can check her out. It's super amazing. At the time of the recording, it is October 2nd. As my daughter loves to tell me, "It's a new month, mom! It’s a new month! What are we going to do? Let’s decorate for Halloween." And she’s autistic and she’s very much into calendars and what day it is. I barely remember the whole “30 days hath September, April, June, and November” saying, but she always knows. And it’s pretty funny because, you know, this weekend she’s all like, “Hey, let’s decorate for Halloween.” And I’m like, girlfriend, my brain’s already been there for a couple months because we have already created and approved and distributed all of the Halloween content. Our clients got it in the Better Marketing with Bella program back on September 15th, but we were working on that stuff back in March.

I’m just going to say that we kind of—well, we kill it. We kill it. Our clients kill it. We have so many success stories. I don’t even have to tell you that we kill it—the success stories show that we kill it. But did you know that I started it because, after I sold my own pet sitting company that I had since 2002—I sold it in 2016—I sincerely missed doing marketing. I didn’t realize that not only am I an entrepreneur, but I also love marketing. I love it. I love the creativity of it. I love thinking ahead and just really impressing the pants off my community. I love planning for the holidays or just kind of being a journalist. I don’t necessarily like to write, but I definitely will personally. I really enjoyed seeing things or walking into people’s houses and being like, “Oh my God, there’s a bobcat on their back wall. Okay, let's talk about bobcats—like in a blog or make a graphic on it.” When I sold my business, I didn’t have anyone to do that for. And I was told at the time that I needed to figure out a way to do a “one-to-many” model, which is how a lot of Jump Consulting that I do works. If you guys have been with Jump Consulting for a while, you know we've got the Mastermind, which is one-to-many. We've got Better Marketing with Bella, which is one-to-many. The podcast, which is one-to-many. And then we do have those select things called intensives, either on Zoom or in person, for select people. But that’s not the majority of the way I spend my time because I want to impact the masses. When we first started, there were only seven to eight people in the program. We were still doing six-month contracts, just like we do now. But at the time, all we gave them was a Facebook cover, some graphics, emails, and blog outlines. That was it. As I started getting on the speaking circuit and speaking at some of the world’s largest social media conferences, like Social Media Marketing World, I became an expert on Facebook groups and got on some pretty big YouTube channels and started gaining a lot of notor

In any case, get ready because you're about to get your hashtag Bella Butt Kickin' in this next episode of Bella in Your Business. So what do you say? Let's get ready and jump. Welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. My name is Bella Vasta, your coach and host, and I'm here today to tell you three easy ways to use social media marketing to get more clients. Who wants more clients? Maybe you just hired somebody and you want to get them going. But did you know that you don't just have to be a sitting duck? You don't have to sit there and wait for the phone to ring or your email to go off with a notification. You can actually get out there and be a little proactive about it. And today I'm going to give you three different ways and methods that you can do right now—or you can train someone to go do for you. It might be one of the shorter episodes, so you're in for a treat, and you probably can listen to this driving between houses. Actually, go ahead and send me a DM and let me know—how do you listen, or where are you listening? Are you walking dogs? Are you driving? Are you folding laundry, working out? What are you doing? I want to know, and I'll probably give you a shout-out too. All right, the very first one is: Create your content with a strategy and position yourself as an expert. This means to locally reference where you are and utilize local platforms to gather your information like Nextdoor. Present yourself as an expert, then ensure that your content is something that you can reuse every single year—and local to you and your clients. So let's unpack that for a minute. That was a lot. When I say “become an expert,” I do not mean sending out tips about, “Did you know that a parakeet has 200 feathers?” I don't care. That is not what I mean. What I mean is things like—I'm going to use Arizona examples—like javelina, which are wild boar running around the desert, and they have tusks. When they have their babies with them, they can attack. And they love pumpkins. You don't really put pumpkins out front of your house here until Halloween day because javelinas most likely will come up from the washes and eat them. And if they'll eat that, they'll also eat small dogs and cats. It happens. And also bobcats and coyotes. It's like the Wild Wild West out here. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's still a very good public service announcement. As an example, one year around this time, I made some graphics of javelina and was like, “What you need to know about javelinas and your pets.” And it was because I was on Nextdoor and I saw everybody talking—“Oh my God, saw a javelina, what am I gonna do?” So it's the perfect time for me to come in as the pet expert to give some people some tips and tricks. What do you do if you see a javelina? What

In any case, get ready because you're about to get your hashtag Bella Butt Kickin' in this next episode of Bella in Your Business. So what do you say? Let's get ready and jump. Welcome to another episode of Bella in Your Business. My name is Bella Vasta. Today, we're going to have a little bit of fun. That's definitely off topic of the normal business building, but just to kind of make sure you guys understand, I totally understand what happens during the normal business day and all the funny things that come up. Today, I'm going to actually share with you my funniest pet sitting stories and how to make them into a social media post. Because any time that we have anything going on in our company, it's always kind of newsworthy. It's kind of like putting on that journalistic hat. And it's not just reporting on the news, but it's understanding how to leverage it and make the storyline about something that our ideal client would want to know. Something about trust, peace of mind, security, how we handle situations and backing up. There are all types of things that happen. And I want to encourage you, as you listen to my three stories today, to be thinking about your own stories and how you could leverage your own stories for your social media good. Now, we're going to be opening the doors for Better Marketing with Bella soon. And a big part of that program is teaching you guys how to think like a marketer. We, of course, provide all the graphics, but we always say that the program works the best when you meet us halfway. What do I mean by that? It means that we provide the awesome custom graphics, the ones that have your color, your font, your logo on it, that are doing National Daughter Day or National Hug Your Dog Day or whatever it might be. But then you bring the personality of the actual up-to-date, day-by-day kind of stories and operations that happen because obviously we can't do that for you. That's what it means by meeting us halfway. So these stories and these things that might happen—stories that I'm not actually mentioning today—things like when I’ve pulled into a garage and there's a puddle of water in the garage, and we're in Arizona—it doesn't rain. Where's that water coming from? It's the upstairs bathroom, toilet that overflowed and the water is gushing and there are lights hanging off the ceiling—that kind of thing. And it's like, my God, what do you do in that situation? Here I go again, going off script. I mean, in that situation, that is the most perfect social media story ever to tell people, to show them how you manage it and what you do and how you get the client on board—and not just about how you do it, but also how you are actually providing peace of mind for your client, how you're communicating with them and assuring them that you are taking on the situation and figuring it out. Now in my company, we had a one-price, full-service guarantee. So when that kind of stuff happened and I had to keep going back and forth to meet with
