PLAY PODCASTS

Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 May 2026

These terms govern your use of playpodcasts.com(the "Service"), operated by Digital Platforms Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17087275), with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Play Podcasts is a free, advertising-supported podcast directory. We index publicly available podcast RSS feeds and present their metadata — titles, descriptions, episode lists, and artwork — alongside links back to each show's own website and feed. We also publish original editorial articles in our articles section.

We do not host the audio files for any podcast in the directory. When you press play on an episode, your browser streams audio directly from the URL provided in the publisher's RSS feed. The publisher remains responsible for the availability and content of that audio.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. In particular, you must not:

  • attempt to disrupt or overwhelm the Service, scrape it at high volume without permission, or circumvent any rate-limiting or bot-protection measures;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, including the administrator area or the underlying servers;
  • submit, through the contact form or otherwise, content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes the rights of another person;
  • misrepresent your identity or impersonate someone else when corresponding with us.

3. Intellectual property

Our content

The site's software, design, layout, branding, and original editorial articles are the property of Digital Platforms Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view the site for personal, non-commercial use; you may not republish our editorial content without permission.

Podcast content

Podcast titles, descriptions, artwork, audio, and other show metadata remain the property of the respective podcast owners. We display this information under the implicit licence that podcast publishers grant to directories and apps when they make their RSS feeds publicly available. We always link to the show's own website where one is provided.

If you are a podcast owner and wish to have your show removed, updated, or its discoverability adjusted, please use the contact form for general requests or the copyright & takedown page for legal notices. We will action verified requests promptly.

4. Advertising

The Service is funded by advertising. Some pages display ads delivered by our own in-house network and, where applicable, by third-party ad partners. Ads are clearly distinguished from editorial content. We do not allow advertisers to influence editorial coverage, and we do not accept paid placements for inclusion or ranking in the podcast directory.

5. Third-party links

The Service contains links to third-party websites — for example to a podcast's own website, RSS feed, or original episode page. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Following a third-party link is at your own risk.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but make no guarantee of uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice. The directory's contents change continuously as podcast publishers update their feeds.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any purpose. Information about a podcast is presented as published in the show's feed; we do not independently verify it. Audio plays directly from the publisher's servers and may be unavailable, modified, or removed at any time without our knowledge.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Platforms Ltd and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by English law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, save that nothing in this clause prevents you from bringing proceedings in your home jurisdiction where you have a non-waivable statutory right to do so as a consumer.
