#43 How to Set Boundaries
It sounds so simple and easy to set boundaries, doesn’t it? Yet, this is one of the most difficult things to do for most of us. We live in a culture that encourages and rewards hustle, which leads us to believe we have to do more, give more, be more, to “earn” the income we want, to have the life we want. This is complete garbage that really only serves your employers and the people who have become accustomed to you giving and doing and putting yourself last while putting everyone else first. If you are ready to break this cycle, set some healthy boundaries, and get your life back, then join me in today’s episode. Today I am talking about setting boundaries. It is critical to getting started on and staying on your health and wellness journey. Lack of boundaries is one of the biggest reasons people struggle to get started with fitness and nutrition or to stick with it. We tell ourselves we have no time, we have to work late, we have to be at so and so’s event, and so on. This may be tough to hear, but none of this is true. We don’t truly have to do anything; we just convince ourselves that we do. So how do we shift this? How do we get ourselves out of this cycle of hustle and burnout caused by lack of boundaries? How do we set boundaries for ourselves? 1. Evaluate where you are. 2. Determine how you want things to change. 3. Decide. 4. Commit. 5. Identify and release the limiting beliefs as the come up.

#41 How to Change your Mindset
Today I am talking about mindset. Our minds and the way we think are so much more powerful than most of us realize. It’s often the last thing we think of when we think about weight loss or getting fit, but it is probably the most critical player in this endeavor. If you are like I was, the way you think and the way you speak to yourself when you look in the mirror is probably not the best. In fact, it may be downright horrible. I know it was the case for me. When I started making a conscious effort to change my mind, my whole life changed as well as my weight. So, how does one change their mindset? Well, there are several major steps: 1. Become aware of your current state of thinking. 2. Take stock of how your current state of thinking is affecting you. 3. Determine how you want to feel and the results you want. 4. Develop affirmations aligned to how you want to feel and your desired results. 5. Speak your affirmations daily.

#36 Get what you Desire: Eight Steps and Stages of Manifestation
Today I am discussing manifestation. If you’re like me, your first intro to this concept was from the movie the Secret, which was released about a decade ago. One of the big takeaways I remember from the Secret is that manifestation is essentially comprised of three steps: ask, believe, and receive. While it is truly this simple it’s not as easy as this implies at all and I have found there is a little more to it. I would say there are eight steps to or stages of manifestation: 1. Get crystal clear on what you want. 2. Declare your desire to God/the universe. 3. Visualize receiving your desire. 4. Feel your desire. 5. Trust and believe that it is yours. 6. Align with the desire. 7. Embody having the desire. 8. Acceptance and gratitude. #35 How Sleep Affects Weight Loss
There are so many factors to consider when it comes to weight loss, and sleep may be one of those that we tend to overlook or fail to consider at all. Not too long ago I paid no mind to the amount of sleep I was actually getting and I was oblivious to how it can affect weight loss. I have since learned that failing to get enough sleep and not having good sleep habits can counter your weight loss efforts. A few of the effects of insufficient sleep are: 1. Increased appetite. 2. Hormonal changes resulting in weight gain. 3. Physical performance/exercise. 4. Decreases exercise.

Today I am discussing the power of meditation. What started as a practice of five minutes each morning has grown into more than I could have ever imagined. So perhaps you’ve recently embarked on a weight loss journey and starting to find staying on track with your nutrition approach challenging. #28 Signs from Heaven: How God is Speaking to you Daily
Today is all about signs from heaven. Have you ever had a dream that stuck with you all day? Maybe it was a certain object or the colors that really stood out and you just can’t shake it. Maybe it was something you heard or you saw words written on a piece of paper. You wake up just knowing there was more to it; it wasn’t just a dream. Or, what about those times when you’ve been praying about something and a few days later you overhear someone say something that is an answer, or maybe you’re in a conversation and the person says what is an answer to your prayer. What about when you’re walking along the sidewalk and you notice a random bunch of flowers growing near the sidewalk that seem completely out of place, or a butterfly flutters around you like it’s desperately trying to tell you something. Oftentimes we don’t know what to make of these things and we shrug them off. Well, I’m here to tell you it is high time you start paying more attention to these things, because this is often how God tries to answer you or get your attention.

We all know that we should all be drinking primarily water, yet, most of us probably don’t drink enough and many don’t drink any water at all. So, how they heck are you supposed to hit a half a gallon a day, let alone a whole gallon a day when you hate drinking water? As someone who used to absolutely hate drinking water, I get it. But I can also tell you it is possible to go from hating drinking water to drinking only water most of the time. Today I am going to share how I went from drinking almost no water every day to drinking almost only water every day.
