John leads off, detailing a trio of Hellcat-powered Dodges: a 2020 Challenger Super Stock, a 2021 Durango SRT and a 2021 Charger Redeye. The guys discuss the big cat powertrains and how Dodge continues to stay on the gas in delivering performance-oriented muscle family cars to customers. Then, Matt gives a report on his time with the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, billed by the brand as the world’s quickest, fastest and most powerful mass-produced truck. Under the hood is a 702 HP supercharged Hemi V-8 engine that propels the truck from 0-60 MPH in 4.5 seconds and to 100 MPH in 10.5 seconds. Matt digs the dino-theme of the TRX (which squares off against the long-standing off-road champ, the Ford Raptor) and points out two Jurassic-inspired easter eggs—one under the hood and another in the center console. From there, John pipes in with news of a pair of Chrysler Pacifica minivans, including the new top-of-the-line Pinnacle and an AWD version. Matt and John like both and talk about the changing shopping habits of van shoppers, as well as the gravitation towards more premium offerings. Rounding out the regaling, Matt jumps to his thoughts on three Jeeps that were present at the event: a Grand Wagoneer concept, a 2021 Wrangler 4xe and a rough-and-ready Wrangler Rubicon 392 concept. There’s much to discuss, including items like the forthcoming tiered pricing structure of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, the acceptance of an electric Wrangler in the off-road community and whether the 392 will move from a radical concept to something readily found on showroom floors.

Bringing Style to the Auto Enthusiast's Garage w/ Don Weberg
Hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman are celebrating the show's 25th episode in this On The Move, though, despite the fanfare, that doesn't mean they’re not letting up on the gas. The pair jump right into detailing Mecum Auctions' busy fall schedule, with upcoming events just around the corner including Dallas (October 15-17) and the Indy Fall Special (October 29-31). From there, Matt speeds off to give a full recap of the Pure Stock Drag Races recently held at the Mid Michigan Motorplex. The three-day event gives owners, enthusiasts and collectors the opportunity to put the pedal to the metal in their classic muscle machines, with the event boasting nothing but drag racing action. This year, the high performers were running in the high 11-second range, including passes in such vintage and iconic iron as a 1969 Chevelle L78 with the L79 option and a 1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty 455. Next up, John has the latest on the success of the Bloomington Gold Corvettes show held in Indianapolis. The big talk this year was the inclusion of Resto Mods, and the guys talk about what that holds for subsequent events. Moving to the latest car news, Nissan’s Z Proto has been unveiled, and Matt and John discuss the striking sportster, including what they like about the abundance of retro styling. Then, it's time for some Ford talk, with the pair touching on the Bronco now being offered with a manual transmission and the latest on the Blue Oval’s Maverick light-duty pickup. The guys discuss this new segment that could be heating up in years to come, especially with other entrants like Hyundai’s 2021 Santa Cruz. In Segment 2 of this episode, the guys are joined by Don Weberg, editor and publisher of Garage Style magazine, a publication dedicated to showcasing the cool spaces collectors, owners and driving enthusiasts store their rolling pride and joy. Don discusses some of the neat garages he’s seen and shares some tips on how anyone can spruce up a storage space, even those that aren’t extremely roomy. In the third segement, Matt and John are revved to be joined by Ronnie Blain, owner of Blain’s Hot Rods and Customs in Lepanto, Arkansas. Ronnie and his team built a radical 2020 Chevy Tahoe that recently crossed the Mecum Kissimmee Summer Special auction block, and the rig simply had no trouble turning heads. Ronnie shares how the team heavily reworked the Tahoe to include its eye-catching, stark styling from the 1970s, and then goes on to fill the guys in about some current projects, including a far out 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat that’ll be transformed with a similar retro treatment.

Two-Wheeled Talk w/ Mecum Motorcycle’s ‘Spokes Man’ Greg Arnold
Hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman are saddling up in this On The Move to focus on motorcycles. But before they get to the two-wheeled talk, there’s a bit of car news to touch on. A new Mecum Magazine has hit the digital newsstands, and the guys take time to share what they penned in the latest issue. John’s "At the Redline" column goes into the social aspect of automotive events and gatherings, as well as the special way relationships develop through a love of transportation. Meanwhile, Matt’s "Free Revs" feature spotlights a rare bird coming to the Mecum Las Vegas auction: a 2002 Year One Edition Blackbird Trans Am that is just one of eight created. Speaking of Sin City, John just returned from a trip out there, where he took part in a television taping for a special "Mecum Presents" focusing on a pair of standout Shelby vehicles. John recaps how it went, including what it was like to hear from Peter Brock, Carroll Shelby’s first employee, and Brock's memories of Shelby operations back in the day. Though, the fun didn’t stop there for John, who had the chance to visit Shelby American’s nearby headquarters and see one of its latest creations: the F150 Super Snake Sport. Top versions of the ultra-hot hauler boast 770 HP and a $93,385 price tag. Matt has truck news, too, sharing how Ford will be offering a Tremor off-road package on the Ranger pickup truck for 2021. The package costs $4,290 and brings upgrades like a lifted suspension, bigger wheels and tires, and skid plates. No adjustments are made to the powertrain, causing the guys to revisit a familiar question: will the forthcoming Bronco get bigger power in the form of a V-8? Wrapping up the car news, Matt tells of Maserati’s new MC20. The two-seat Italian exotic boasts a twin-turbo V-6, 630 HP and a claimed zero to 62 MPH time of 2.9 seconds. From there, the crew gears up for a discussion on motorcycles, with Mecum Auction’s Motorcycle Auction Manager Greg Arnold in the studio. The "Spokes Man" fills in Matt and John on how the division has grown and how things are gearing up for the 30th Annual Vintage and Antique Motorcycle Auction slated for January 26-31 in Las Vegas. Greg also takes time to shine the spotlight on one of the show's stars, a 1950 Vincent Black Lightning that is expected to bring a half-million dollars when it crosses the auction block. Wrapping up the show, it’s time for another On the Move Vehicle Profile, with Matt and John taking a close look at the first-generation Camaro produced from 1967 through 1969. The guys discuss the car’s development, the strategy employed by Chevrolet to get it out into the marketplace, some of the famous performance variants, including the legendary Z28, and various options like RPO L89 and JL8.
