Show Notes
Kicking off this On the Move, hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman are sharing the numerous stops the Mecum Mobile Experience will be making for the rest of the year. Fans and enthusiasts can find it at such events as the Geneva Concours d’Elegance, the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion, the Pigeon Forge Fall Rod Run and SEMA. Next, John has the recap of the second race for the newly launched SRX series before the guys give their thoughts on the recently teased 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD-PRO pickup. John isn’t a fan of the aggressive, bold styling while Matt finds it on point with the current design language seen elsewhere in the full-size truck marketplace.
On the Move is powered by State Farm and their great rates on car insurance, and in the second segment, Matt chats with great guest Mike Burroughs, editor of StanceWorks. Topics include how Mike launched the enthusiasts-focused blog and some of the recent and very radical builds he’s undertaken. He also gives the latest on the wild 1981 Ferrari 308 GTBi he’s assembling in time for a debut at this year’s SEMA show before he takes it to compete in the Global Time’s Attack Limited Class.
Matt and John are just coming off a full weekend in Indianapolis at the Bloomington Gold Corvette show, and finishing off this week's episode, they’re sharing their personal highlights from the event. Both spoke at seminars and share recaps as well as key vehicles on display that stood out to them. Wrapping up, they take a step back to look at the current state of the market for the red-hot C8 Corvette, including a few that are heading to future Mecum Auctions.
