Show Notes

There are no tricks, just all treats in this On the Move as hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman prepare for Mecum’s October Takeover. Throughout the month, Mecum is hosting three different auctions around the country, and in this show, the guys are spotlighting the first two. Before diving in, there’s some travel updates with Matt giving his thoughts on attending the Pigeon Forge Fall Rod Run and John recapping his time at Corvette Funfest. Then there’s tons of truck news to share, starting with Ford’s announcement of a hotter Bronco that will be coming in 2022 with an off-road-focused Raptor trim joining the lineup. Then it’s full details on the 2022 Toyota Tundra before examining a trio of Ram special editions, including a TRX Ignition Edition. Wrapping up, there’s an On the Move REView with Matt and John sharing their thoughts on their time behind the wheel of a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit. Moving along, President and CEO of Legendary Companies Wade Kawasaki is on the line. After giving an update on the very latest from Coker Tires, Wade shares his involvement with the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, which will be taking place concurrently during the Mecum Chattanooga auction. The multiday, fuel-fed festival will feature such activities as a charity cruise, a race course and a concours d’elegance. Finishing off this week's episode, Matt and John are going all in on a Mecum Vegas auction preview. John leads off, explaining how the event has grown to be a regional happening, and then it’s on to the guys' Budget Buys and Spare No Expense picks. John settles on a late-model Pontiac and classy 1959 Impala while Matt is reining in a 1987 Bronco II and a 1968 Pontiac GTO Ram Air IV Convertible that is one of 22 built.
