Ep 252: Why You're Doubting Your Impossible Goal

E

Inside of my group coaching program, Perfectionists Getting Shit Done, we set something called an Impossible Goal. This is a goal that is designed to make your brain freak out and call everything you believe about that goal into question. Impossible Goals bring up a lot of self-doubt to work through, which can feel uncomfortable. They bring up all of the reasons and all of the evidence that we can't be the kind of person that does what we want to do. Our brains freak out - and we want to quit. An Impossible Goal is not something that's unrealistic. It can exist in reality. In fact, it IS realistic but your brain thinks it's impossible. One of the biggest things that held me back from going full-time in my coaching business had nothing to do with lack of motivation, lack of time or fear of not having enough money... What kept me stuck was that if I can't do coaching well, it's better not to do it at all. And it wasn't until I shifted this belief, and allowed myself to be a less-than-perfect coach, that I started showing up in my business and having a positive impact on people's lives. Ep 229: A Simple Mantra To Help You Let Go + Stress Less

E

Despite their best efforts, perfectionists fall into the habit of wanting to control what they can to create more certainty around them. They believe that if they can just take care of things, then they'll be done right. And that if things go wrong, they'll be there to create a remedy. I like to call this 'meddling' and it definitely got the best of me last quarter in my business! In today's episode, I'm here to share how creating a mantra not only helped me get out of my own way but also helped me get back into a growth mindset. This allowed me to welcome abundance into my life and business all while having the courage to do scary things I was putting off. In This Episode You'll Learn: What a mantra is and how to create one How to use your mantra so that it actually works for you How to recognise when you are in a fixed vs growth mindset How to move into a growth mindset and create abundance in your life and business How to break negative thought patterns and turn your mantra into a reality Featured In The Episode: Perfectionists Getting Shit Done - my group coaching program FREE Training - How To Build A Full-Time Coaching Business Without Getting Laughed At Episode 224: Personal Growth Update September 2020 Join us in Perfectionists Getting Shit Done If you enjoy listening to this podcast, I highly recommend joining my group coaching program Perfectionists Getting Shit Done.
