Ep 164: Should You Wake Up Early?
EIf you google the phrase "waking up early" you'll find a stream of tips to help you get up at 5am and lengthy articles about the benefits of this habit. On the other hand, if you google the phrase "staying up late" you'll see articles designed to comfort those who feel bad for this habit alongside warnings that staying up late might lead you to an early grave. Interesting, right? In the personal development world, it's often said that waking up early is the key to success. To support this - lists of successful people who wake up early are given as evidence. But is waking up early a habit that everyone should pursue? I personally don't think so! In this episode, I'm sharing some questions that will help you figure out if you should wake up early or if you really shouldn't. EPerfectionists love leaving everything until the last minute. It allows them to blame procrastination for a poor outcome and feel extra smart if they manage to pull it all off. But waiting for the last minute is a dangerous habit, especially since most of the important things in life don't have a deadline! This raises the question of whether perfectionists should rely on deadlines to become more productive and if so, how they should use them. So that's what I'm talking about in this episode! Ep 131: How To Eliminate All-Or-Nothing Thinking
EOne of the biggest signs that you have a perfectionist mindset is that you have an all-or-nothing approach to life. This means you're working out perfectly or you're not working out at all. You're meditating every day of the week or you're not meditating at all. You're taking massive action to build your business or you're not taking any action at all. To escape the all-or-nothing mindset, there are a few important things you must do. One of those things is creating a growth mindset, which I've spoken more about in Episode 41, Episode 57 and Episode 100 of The Perfectionism Project. Ep 129: Should You Work From A To-Do List, Planner or Calendar?
