Bullet Points | Everything you need to know about hair loss.

Susie Hammond is a Consultant Trichologist at Philip Kingsley who joins me in the show in something of a show first. This conversation wasn't originally going to be published and was just me having a call with Susie to get some info on some of the questions I'd been received from you, my most-excellent listeners, have been asking me about hair loss and the treatment I've been receiving with both Anabel Kingsley and now Susie while Anabel Kingsley is on maternity leave. As you'll hear from everything Susie says, her knowledge is so vast that it would have been a shame to tell you my version of what she said so I decided to publish our call as an episode of the show.In this episode, we discuss:The options available if a visit to a trichologist is cost prohibitive. Why taking vitamins can help with hair health, but there's a right and a wrong way to go about it.The topical products that can work and the ones that can't.The Philip Kingsley products that have been specifically created to help with hair loss and how they work. How to wash, style and brush your hair to minimise breakage. The use of topical treatments and role of minoxidil and anti-androgens in treating hair loss conditions. The resources available if you want to understand your specific hair loss issues and much more...This episode is not sponsored and Philip Kingsley have not asked me to create it but I am receiving my treatment and non-prescription products without charge. To join the closed Facebook group for the podcast click here >> The Emma Guns Show Forum. To follow me on social media >> Twitter | Instagram.Hey! Bullet Points | 5 ways to be a more positive person.

In a brand new episode of the podcast I discuss the five tactics that can help you become a more positive person. Not only are these great habits to incorporate into your life, they are also proven to reduce physical stress, strengthen coping mechanisms and encourage an overall feeling of calm.Positive thinking and being more positive are frequently cited as being helpful, especially when experiencing depression and anxiety, but it’s easier said than done. And someone telling you to ‘be more positive’ can be as effective as telling someone to ‘calm down’. Hopefully what this episode does is offer a little more insight into the ‘how’ to be more positive. All the tactics are free and none take more than a few minutes. This podcast was inspired by the feedback I had from you for the last few Bullet Points episodes where we’ve discussed overwhelm, mental health and burnout so I hope you find it helpful. To join the closed Facebook group for the podcast click here >> The Emma Guns Show Forum. To follow me on social media >> Twitter | Instagram.Hey! Bullet Points | It's ok to not be ok.

It’s ok not to be ok.In a brand new episode of the podcast I discuss my mental health diagnosis of severe depression and anxiety back in 2016 and why it was so helpful.I’d always feared this kind of diagnosis would signpost me as a failure, but it actually signposted my way out of a lifetime of negative thinking, self-sabotaging behaviour and unhappiness. When I look back and ask myself if there’s anything I wish I’d done differently, it’s that I’d have asked for help earlier. Instead I spent years powering through, pushing it away and minimising how bad things were until eventually it all caught up with me and I had no choice but to address it.This podcast was prompted by the response to the video I posted on #IGTV about my mental health and as not everyone who follows me on social listens to the show - and vice versa - I wanted to share that audio again as the second half of the episode. It also contains the five books that I have found most helpful in understanding my own mental health issues but also understanding other people and what they may be going through too.The books featured are: Lost Connections by @johann.hariThe Four Tendencies by @gretchenrubinYou Are a Badass by @jensinceroFirst, We Make the Beast Beautiful by @_sarahwilson_How to Survive the End of the World by @technicallyronTo find this episode simply click the link in my bio or type ‘The Emma Guns Show’ into your preferred podcast platform. To join the closed Facebook group for the podcast click here >> The Emma Guns Show Forum. To follow me on social media >> Twitter | Instagram.Hey! Being More Keanu with James King

James King is a writer, film critic and broadcaster who joins me to talk about his new book Be More Keanu. Ep 160Why Breast Reduction Surgery Changed My Life

It’s been a year since I had breast reduction surgery and when I decided to have this operation I thought it was going to be life-changing, but it wasn’t.It turns out that if I wanted to change my life, undo self-sabotaging behaviours and really address my issues with my own body image, it wasn’t something I could outsource - this needed to be an inside job. So, that’s what the last 12 months have been about confronting and addressing demons, being honest with myself and making changes for my long-term mental, emotional and physical health.I’m made this video/audio because I receive messages daily about my breast reduction surgery, but in recent months I’ve been also been receiving messages about my weight loss, in the main along the lines of ‘how have you done it?’ and it feels impossible to talk about one without mentioning the other. If you do have questions about breast reduction surgery or anything else discussed in this video please do feel free to comment or please know that my DMs are open.Trigger warning: I am aware that some of what I have mentioned in this video may be triggering for some viewers. It is never my intention to create content that will upset, offend or alienate, but this is the only way I knew how to articulate my own personal journey and I hope you don’t mind me using my platform to do so. Mentioned in the #IGTV:@hasteskitchen The 7 Day Basket.
