Lorne Cress Love visits The Context of White Supremacy. Ms. Cress Love has invested her life in countering the System of White Supremacy. She was a member of SNCC during the 1960's and established multiple radio programs to offer constructive media programing for black audiences. She also happens to be the sister of third generation of physician and author of The Isis Papers, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and others branded the Grammy-winning vocalist a "racist" and protested in front of NFL headquarters for allowing her to perform an homage to the Black Panther Party. Speaking of the Big Apple and police terrorism, NYPD officer Pete Liang was found guilty for the 2014 killing of Akai Gurley. Liang could face up to 15 years in prison. The Gurley killing took place within weeks of the non-indictment of Michael Brown Jr.'s killer in 2014. This week Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the Department of Justice announced their plan to sue the City of Ferguson for failure to comply with federal guidelines for reforming the police department that terrorized and financially extorted black Missourians. Speaking of blacks who were killed, the trial in the 2014 shooting death of Akai Gurley began this week in New York City. Non-white (Asian) officer Peter Liang faces manslaughter charges for killing the unarmed black male in 2014; if convicted he could face up to 15 years behind bars. On the opposite side of the country, the White Terrorist confrontation in Oregon climaxed with multiple arrests and one fatality as enforcement officials killed Robert Finicum. Some of the armed White thugs remain entrenched on the federal property, despite pleas from their detained White comrades that they surrender. Kristen Green visits The Context of White Supremacy. A journalist by trade, Ms. Green is a Virginia native who adapted her life to research the infamous five year school closure in Prince Edward County. Following the 1954 Brown v Board of Education decision, Racists in Southside Virginia dedicated themselves to White Supremacy in education. They colluded, secured funding, and eventually closed all public schools in the county from 1959 to 1964. They opened private academies for White children during this time, while leaving black children and educators to rot without education. Ms. Green's publication - Something Must Be Done About Prince Edward County - explores the details of this historic act of war and her family's involvement in the closing of the schools. Her White grandfather defended keeping black students away from white kids and served as a faculty member for the White Supremacy academy for years. A Diversity and Inclusion Strategist, Ms. Fleshman states that her mission "is to help individuals become more compassionate and empathetic with people of other races so we can work together to dismantle systemic racism." Fleshman recently authored "Dear Black Folks: A Love Letter from a White Woman." A memorial at Howard University in Washington, D.C. was held earlier today. Dr. Welsing characterized the gun as the great equalizer for Whites. Not surprisingly, President Obama's teary-eyed proclomation on executive orders designed to reduce gun violence was widely critized. Many Whites - and some non-whites - lampooned the president as unmanly and proceeded to buy even more firearms. No one spoke of disarming the White terrorists who've comandeered federal property in Oregon. Although no one has been indicted for the suspicious death of Sandra Bland, White officer Brian Encinia was charged with perjury for statements given regarding his arrest of her. He may be fired (transferred). And Dr. Welsing's theory that the promotion and seeming increase of sexual intercourse between White Women and black males may be encouraging increased violence by White Men was supported by Governor Paul LePage. Professor Jim Grimsley visits The Context of White Supremacy. Grimsley is a White man and an Admitted Racist. He's a Professor of Practice in the English Department at Emory University in Georgia. He describes his childhood in rural North Carolina during the 1960's. His White family and friends swapped nigger jokes, talked bad about black people while attending church, and incessantly emphasized the ignorance and vileness of niggras. Grimsley suspects that his father may have practiced direct acts of violence against black citizens. Ostensibly, his book examines his journey away from the White Supremacist identity that was expected of him. In Chicago, Illinois Suspected Race Soldier Jason Van Dyke was indicted for the murder of 17-year-old Laquan MacDonald; he'll be arraigned later this month. Whites are offering heaps of rhetoric about improving the criminal justice system as a result of these cases; in New York they agreed to reform the practice of solitary confinement - they did not commit to eliminating this custom. Beyond their highfalutin words, pathological White patterns and practices remain. A Northern California prison was indicted for an "entrenched culture" of Racism and violence that one victim described as having a "KKK... feeling". While black females struggle to safegaurd their bodies and lives, Abigail Fisher, a White Woman, continues her assault on "affirmative action" at the Supreme Court. This is the second time the highest court in the land is adjudicating this case. Justice Antonin Scalia suggested that black scholars avoid high caliber academic institutions and stick to a slower, "less-advanced school," more accommodating to puny negro intellect. Speaking of institutions to avoid, Charleston, South Carolina's Citadel has again been accused of Racism. Nearly a dozen White students wore "costumes" resembling the Klu Klux Klan. There are calls for the school's president to resign and for federal funding to be withdrawn. The shooting minimized attention on gun-toting Race Soldier Jason Van Dyke - who was released from a Chicago jail after expeditiously posting $150,000 bond. Van Dyke is charged with first degree murder for the 2014 shooting of Laquan McDonald. While many comtested the definition of terrorism and what type of violence should be branded as such, this week marked the 60th anniversary of Rosa Parks' counter-terrorist offensive on a Montgomery, Alabama bus. Unfortunately, Parks' Alabama has remained staunchly devoted to terrorizing black citizens, evidenced by the Alabama Justice Project's charge that enforcement officials and prosecutors conspired to plant drugs on and incarcerate innocent black citizens for decades. An increasing number of Whites are unsatisfied with President Obama's alleged handling of ISIS and the conflict in Syria. While many Race Soldiers clamor for a merciless, violent response, black United States' citizens have militarized police units march through their residence for misplacing a house key. Black scholars across the states continue to challenge the Racial Terrorism they're forced to tolerate while seeking knowledge. The Racist backlash has been immediate, widespread, and tacky. Speaking of terrorists, the third week of the Daniel Holztclaw trial concluded on Wednesday with more black female victims testifying to being petrified and violated by a predator with a badge and gun. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the twelfth and final study session on Gary Rivlin's Katrina: After The Flood. Mr. Rivlin is a White man and former New York Times journalist; he was lodged on a plantation while he investigated the cataclysmic engineering failure and negligence that destroyed New Orleans in August of 2005. His 2015 bestseller details a decade of asymmetrical "recovery." To make it plain, ten years of black New Orleanians being racially dislocated and deliberately deterred from resurrecting their lives. Rivlin reviews all areas of people activity: the institution of charter schools, the demolition of public housing, and the looting of funds designated for flood victims. Last week's installment documented the beginning of the end for Ray Nagin, as Whites initiated their case for criminal charges against him. Current White Mayor Mitch Landrieu deceptively declared that rebuilding New Orleans was about White and non-white citizens working in unison for the greater good. He covered his bases by rallying black citizens to defend him against accusations of a White man bogarting power in a majority black city. Former president Timothy Wolfe resigned and Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin will conclude his tenure at the end of the year.
