Daryle Washington returns to The Context of White Supremacy. Mr. Washington first visited the program in July 2014. We discussed workplace Racism and his alleged mistreatment at Recology Corporation in San Francisco. We discussed Mr. Washington's reports of being subjected to Racist torment and the hanging of a noose, as first reported by PNN TV and San Francisco Bay View. Mr. Rivlin is a White man; while working for the New York Times he covered the cataclysmic engineering debacle and negligence that drowned New Orleans in August of 2005. His 2015 publication investigates a decade of asymmetrical "recovery." To be specific, ten years of black New Orleanians being rebuffed and deliberately blocked from reconstructing their lives. His examination reviews all areas of people activity: the institution of charter schools, the destruction of public housing, and outright looting of funds designated for flood victims. In between the mass production of fraudulent comparisons between "gay rights" and White Supremacy, enforcement officials and many White civilians railed against black people, suggesting that "hollering" Black Lives Matter protesters are to culpable for the recent shootings of enforcement officials in Texas and Illinois. We'll review his memoir, Prisoners of Katrina: Stranded at Work in New Orleans Parish Prison. Mr. Johnson brought his elderly father with him to work at the prison on August 28th, 2005. Dr. Frances Cress Welsing makes her 29th visit to The Context of White Supremacy. The 3rd generation physician, author, and psychiatrists was last with us the day after the Charleston, South Carolina massacre. In June, Dr. Welsing insisted that Dylann Roof was on a White Supremacist mission at Emanuel A.M.E. church. It's been nearly 60 days since the killings, and Dr. Welsing submits that just like the summer of 2015, this tragedy has receded abruptly. Racists have redirected our focus to allegations against Bill Cosby and the latest Donald Trump performance. Black Louisiana residents have yet to completely recover from the devastation. Things are similarly less than ideal a year later in Ferguson. The manslaughter trial for the 2013 shooting death of Jonathan Ferrell opened this week. Ferrell was described as a weed smoking "zombie" who would not comply with the White officers' commands. In a manner yet to be determined, Ware died in police custody after being pepper sprayed and arrested. Some of the Tuscaloosa officers were wearing body cameras, but they failed to record significant moments of Ware's detainment. Chapman, 18, was arrested for taking a cellphone. She reportedly hung herself within hours of being booked. Chapman's death was simultaneous with the similarly reported death of Sandra Bland. Texas officers arrested Bland, who promptly reported concerns for her safety and officer abuse. Shortly there after, she is alleged to have hung herself. One of the involved officers, Sheriff Glenn Smith, was previously fired from a Texas police department amid accusations of Racism. President Barack Obama became the first sitting president to tour a federal prison; at an NAACP convention this week, he echoed that, "African Americans are more likely to be arrested. They are more likely to be sentenced to more time for the same crime... [and] around one in nine African American kids has a parent in prison." The blazes have generated much less attention than the removal of "Dukes of Hazzard" - a television show canceled 30 years ago - and all things resembling the Confederate flag. Formerly JoAnne Chesimard, Shakur was a committed member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, convicted of killing New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster, an escaped felon, the first woman ever listed on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List, and a writer. She continues to generate controversy as 60 faculty and staff members at Marquette University have demanded that a mural depicting her likeness be reproduced. Last week's session detailed Assata's involvement with and scrutiny of the Black Panther Party. She provided profound discernment of how Whites exacerbated strife between black people, which helped suppress counter-racist efforts. Former Rikers Island captive Kalief Browder committed suicide; he was tortured and caged for three years as a teen for allegedly stealing a backpack . He was never tried. A Louisiana federal judge ordered the release of the only remaining incarcerated member of the Angola 3, Alfred Woodfox. But a federal appeals court has denied his release. Meanwhile, two convicted White killers launched an elaborate, successful escape from a New York prison. A White female prison employee has been charged with aiding their jailbreak, and the felons apparently made time to post Racist notes while exiting.
