Settle into a nice, easy rhythm of breathing, Allowing each breath out to release any tension you might have and invite you into deeper comfort. Be here for a bit. Giving your mind a chance to slow down, As you release any thoughts or emotions that might arise. Relax and release. Relax and release. PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine yourself sitting in the middle of a beautiful garden. The soft dirt warms you from below and the flowers blow their delicious scents into the air. You look around and notice different sections of the garden, each organized a little bit differently to enhance the vegetation within it. You know this garden intimately. Its soil is still under your fingernails. You know the habits of its bugs and critters, And you’ve been nourished by its fruits, vegetables and herbs. Take a deep breath in as you sit in your garden, And let its familiarity refresh you. PAUSE… As you look around, you notice that some of the plants, vegetables and flowers have blossomed, The ripeness or colors calling your attention to their gifts. And as you calmly drink in their fully formed beauty, See if you can take the next few minutes to think about the gifts in your own life right now that have fully blossomed. Relationships, circumstances or things whose blessings in your life are big and easy to see. And as you do, allow yourself to be filled with gratitude for each of them. LONG PAUSE... Now take a deep breath in, inviting in the lightness and gratitude, And exhale deeper into relaxation. PAUSE… Bring yourself back to your garden. And again, be in this peaceful, familiar place. And this time, notice that some of the plants, vegetables and flowers are hidden, still in the process of growing. Some are still underground, Some are still seedlings, And some are adolescent versions of who they aspire to be, not yet fully matured. See if you can take the next few minutes to think about the gifts in your own life that are not yet fully matured or not so obvious. Perhaps blessings that seem small or insignificant right now, but when you think about them, are deeply impactful to the garden of your life. And as you think about these things, allow yourself to be filled with intense gratitude for each of them. LONG PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, savoring the lightness and gratitude, And exhale all the air out, feeling refreshed and calm. PAUSE… There is so much good in your life right now. And even when they haven’t, this garden is here for you, working on your behalf. Breathe in gratitude, and feel yourself grow lighter. PAUSE… Now let your attention travel up to your stomach, your heart, your breasts and your chest. Feel this entire area expand with each inhale as it reminds you of who you are. All your major organs inside working just for you. Feel the gratitude arise and expand with breath. PAUSE… Now allow your attention to rise to your shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. These tremendous parts that give you so much freedom to navigate your life, To embrace, to hold, to carry and to give. Breathe in deep gratitude and feel the warmth inside of you grow. PAUSE… Be here, With your breath, And allow every breath out to release any stress or worries or frustrations you might be having right now, Feeling yourself get lighter with every exhale. Breathe in, Breathe out and release. Breathe in, Breathe out and release. PAUSE… Now imagine yourself back into the scene of a recent moment that happened. A moment that seemed fairly mundane or routine at the time. Perhaps the moment you’re thinking of was the rush of the morning. Or driving around away from your home. Maybe it was a phone call with a loved one, Or even a shower you were taking yesterday. Whatever moment you choose, focus in on it as if you were pausing a scene in a movie. And breathe... PAUSE... Allow yourself to slowly replay this scene, These few moments that may have seemed ordinary at the time, And imagine yourself pressing pause again. What miracles can you see? PAUSE… Is there another person in this scene with you whom you love? Feel the gratitude for having them in your life. What might this moment looked like through their eyes? Were you using resources not everyone has in abundance? Water? Electricity? Money? Shelter? Feel the gratitude for these resources. Were you in good health? Was your body functioning well? Feel the gratitude for your physical health. For the next few minutes, allow yourself to watch this scene again, very slowly, Eagerly picking out the miracles you see. PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in and as you do, feel yourself filling with the refreshing air of gratitude, And as you exhale, feel the lightness in your body, In your mind, In your soul. Your life is filled with miracles, my love, Every single moment of it. Meditation: Feel Good Tonight

Let your belly expand as far as it can with all that oxygen, And release your breath out through your nose. Take another deep breath in, Filling your belly with just a little bit more air than before, And when you can’t breathe in anymore, Exhale it all out. And one last deep breath in, Imagining the air coming in cleansing your body, cleansing your mind, And letting it all go as you breathe out. Now bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm. And just take a moment to feel into your body. Noticing it rise and fall with the motion of your breath. Noticing if you feel any lightness from increased oxygen. Noticing if you have any kinks or tension you need to release. PAUSE… Bring your awareness to your breath. Notice how good it feels to breathe in and out, How the air can make your body tingle ever so softly with life, How the rise and fall of your chest creates a relaxing rhythm for your body, How each breath in is a renewing moment. And say a silent thank you to your body for doing this work for you as you relax it deeper into your bed. PAUSE… You may notice thoughts coming up. And if they do, imagine that any of those thoughts or emotions that are heavy with stress or worry or fear begin to dissolve with every breath out, Vanishing into the space around you, And releasing their hold on you. Watch them dissolve as you breathe them out. PAUSE... Now notice if there are any thoughts or emotions that come up that make you feel good. Imagine yourself placing them into a beautiful basket beside you. Maybe you see yourself placing thoughts about your healthy body in the basket, Or the work you do, The people who bring joy to your life, Or even the events that took place today that brought a smile to your heart. Place them in that basket and imagine a smile widening across your face as you do. PAUSE… Feel the calm happiness inside of you as you look at your basket. This pile of goodness that warms your heart and reminds you of all the blessings in your life. Breathe them in, And surrender deeper into your bed, deeper into the arms of sleep. PAUSE… This moment is a gift. No matter what happened today, No matter what tomorrow brings. This moment right now, this breath, is a miracle. And you are pure magic, A being of love and light who is flooded with blessings. So relax and surrender to the night, As you swim in the goodness of it all.
