Sometimes we forget, To stop all our running, So life can be quiet and hush. PAUSE… Our shoulders relax, Our minds slow down, A giant exhale is released. Our body unwinds, More space opens up, Our grip upon life is unleashed. Feel yourself expand, And open up more, Let go of the doing right now. There’s nowhere to be. Nothing to do, Just be here, and allow. LONG PAUSE… Feel yourself unwinding, And slowly letting go, Falling into the abyss. If you can just trust, That everything’s okay, This moment is truly bliss. LONG PAUSE… Relax, And unwind. Release, And let go. Surrender, And find, You’re worthy, When slow. LONG PAUSE… The layers peel off, With every conscious breath, The thoughts slow down and dissolve. Here in this moment, Feel the open depth, Everything upturned will resolve. PAUSE… So many of us learn, That we have no worth, If achievements are not racking up. We strive and collect, And check off those tasks, Hoping we’ll measure up. PAUSE… But one truth you’ll find, When you finally unwind, Your stillness is your portal home. Within it you’ll see, Your worth is a guarantee, Apart from achievements alone. PAUSE… So slow down, And be. Relax now, And breathe. Unwind here, And know, You’re clear, You flow. LONG PAUSE… Feel yourself unwinding, And slowly letting go, Falling into the abyss. If you can just trust, That everything’s okay, This moment is truly bliss. LONG PAUSE… Relax, And unwind. Zero in on any area that feels tight, and breathe relaxation into it. PAUSE Keep the breath flowing, opening your core and other areas. Feel tranquil energy drifting through you. PAUSE Now, think about what gratitude means to you. Let those thoughts and feelings come into your consciousness. PAUSE As you become aware of gratitude, set an intention to see how healing and nurturing real gratitude is in your life. PAUSE While in this space, bring into your memory something you did that you’re grateful for. It can be anything. PAUSE And when it’s in your awareness, observe what you did, and the positive effect on you. Then, focus on how it makes you feel. Stay with those feelings. PAUSE Breathe in deeply, and allow yourself to shift focus to a time when you were grateful for someone else. What did that person do? How did it make you feel? Hold those feelings in you. PAUSE Now, take a minute, and connect with the blessings in your life. Really give yourself permission to feel the gratitude at its most profound level. Let it lift your spirits. Let it send healing vibes through you. Let it nurture you. PAUSE And, as you feel the wonderful impact of these blessings, of true gratitude, imagine a little whisper saying to you that practicing gratitude nurtures and supports you. LONG PAUSE Let your breath gently tumble in and out, opening and expanding your chest, becoming slow and deep. LONG PAUSE And the breath fills your mind, clearing it of all thoughts, and any stray thought that creeps in Simply passes by and falls away. LONG PAUSE And now that your body is relaxing, And its tension is releasing, you turn inward, and take a moment to feel gratitude, true appreciation for your life and for all of you. So, let’s begin. See if you can imagine a gold picture frame In your center. And in the frame, an image begins to form, Like a puzzle with pieces And all the shapes coming together. PAUSE As the pieces of the image gather, A scene unfolds, A memory that stirs your heart And overflows it with The deepest love you’ve known. Be here, Present and open to that pure love. PAUSE The image slowly dissolves, into a pink crystal, still teeming with all that love. And now reflecting it All through you, Until you feel only love. PAUSE The crystal twinkles with pink light And more love moves through you. It’s a flood of pure, deep love touching every fiber of your body, every corner of your being, every atom of who you are. PAUSE Now, envision the pink crystal’s light floating outside your body. You are still connected to it, as it comes from you. The light now shines all around your home flooding it with pure love, Your pure love. PAUSE Soon, the pink light radiates beyond your home enfolding your street and neighbors and trees and homes in the power of pure, deep love. Your pure love. PAUSE The pink power of love expands again and shimmers more, encasing your entire town, and all the towns nearby. All the buildings and residents now glow with the power of love, The deepest love of you. PAUSE The crystal’s energy bursts again with its pink, Its true love cascading over the state And all its people, Every tree and plant, And every animal, Are bathed in your pure love. PAUSE The crystal’s power hovers over the entire country, fanning out in love over cities, counties and states, to all the people, And every grain of sand, Glimmering with love, Your pure love. PAUSE You return again to the love inside you And feel it swell until it’s covering the world and every human in it. Every mountain and forest and beach and city. Your pure love floods the entire world. PAUSE Now, imagine yourself perched above the world gazing at what happens when pure love shines through from just one person. And if your love can make such a ripple, Imagine what happens When loves comes from all people. PAUSE… Hold the air in for just a moment… And then exhale, Releasing it all out, And feeling your body contract. PAUSE… Now ease into a gentle rhythm of breathing again, Letting the waves of your breath calm you, Relax you, Comfort you. LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of the blue light, Above your chest. And as you breathe, Feel it spread out into your right arm, All the way to your hand and fingers. Softening you. PAUSE… And then feel the warm blue glow, Spread down into your left arm, All the way down to your hand, And into your fingers. Relaxing you. LONG PAUSE… Imagine the blue light traveling slowly down your back, From the top of your neck, Down, Down, Down, Covering and softening your lower back. LONG PAUSE… The gentle blue glow now hovers over your stomach, Falls down your hips, Down your left leg, And then your right. Warming you, Calming you. LONG PAUSE… One with the rhythm of your breath, The blue light ascends up through your chest, Rising up your neck, Softening your face, And covering the crown of your head. LONG PAUSE… With its core at the center of your chest, The softness of the blue light radiates out, Covering your body in stillness, In deep relaxation. You’ll feel the unease in your body, And carry the weight in your heart. You’ll even glimpse hints in the world around you, As troubles seem to inexplicably multiply. PAUSE… As always, you have the choice to look away, But deep down, you know that won’t help. By the time you feel distress tugging at your spirit, You’ve nearly reached the fork in the road. Though it takes courage to point yourself into the wind, You’re saving yourself pain in the end. Change comes when you’ve outgrown what stands in your way, And you lower your shoulder and press on. PAUSE… So take a deep breath and get ready, For the time has come to let go. You can rid yourself of what’s causing you pain, Knowing that freedom waits on the other side. It seeps into the darkest spaces and shines its light. So the intention of today’s meditation is to consciously let love expand inside of you. So you can heal. So you can grow. And most importantly, so you can share it. Go ahead and let yourself settle into comfort, Allowing your body to be relaxed and alert. And just start noticing your breathing. The rhythmic motion of expansion as you breathe in, And contraction as you breathe out. The cool air on your nose as you inhale, And the warm air on your nose as you exhale. The natural slowing down and relaxing of your body. Breathe… PAUSE… Imagine with me that you feel a warm, soft energy inside your chest. It’s small and round and glowing with rays of warm, yellow light. This yellow ball of energy illuminates you from the inside, And as its light touches the spaces in your chest and your heart, You feel light. And filled with love. PAUSE… Now take a moment to think about one thought or feeling that may be causing you pain, discomfort or unrest right now. Identify where it’s living in your body. And as you take a deep breath in, imagine that you’re sending this little ball of yellow light to that place. And just notice the mighty ball of yellow energy illuminating that space. Casting out the darkness. Expanding the light. And letting love expand there. Feel the lightness. Feel the love expand with every breath in. PAUSE… Now for the next few minutes, imagine that little ball of yellow light traveling to anywhere else inside of you where pain, discomfort or unrest is living. And imagine this small, yellow ball of energy bringing light to the darkness. And let the love expand inside of you. PAUSE… Now bring your attention to your breath. Noticing the yellow light glowing everywhere inside of you. Feeling the warmth of love and gratitude running through your body. Now bring to mind a person or a situation that might be experiencing pain, discomfort or unrest. Imagine this person or this situation is a few feet in front of you now. With every breath out, imagine that your beautiful, yellow light leaves your body and embraces the person or situation you see in front of you with its energy. With every breath out, expand your light. With every exhale, expand your love. And watch as it engulfs the person or situation in front of you. Watch as it heals. Watch as it forgives. Watch as it seeks to understand. Watch as it opens and raises and deepens and strengthens. And feel as your own yellow light glows even brighter than before. PAUSE… Let love expand. Within you. And from you. PAUSE Keep breathing and staying connected, letting your mind clear stray thoughts and open wide to possibility. PAUSE See if you can imagine a beautiful, hand-carved totem pole rising before you. A totem pole of your ancestors, loved ones who have crossed over in your lifetime and before except at the top. You are at the top of the totem pole. PAUSE Reach out your hand, exploring the smooth curves and valleys of each part of the totem pole. They feel like parts of you. PAUSE Starting at the bottom, your hand glides over the nose and eyes of an ancestor and you hear a whisper from them: “You stand on my shoulders. I bring you this gift.” Breathe into the whisper until you feel their gift. PAUSE You move to another ancestor on the totem pole, and begin gently stroking their face. As you do, you feel love from them, and hear a whisper. “You stand on my shoulders. I bring you this gift.” What is the gift from this ancestor? Breathe it into yourself. PAUSE You choose one more ancestor, one that seems to call to you with the deepest of love. You cup your hands around their face. This time, you hear a different whisper. “Yes, you stand on my shoulders, But you were my gift.” Take a minute and hold this offering of love close. PAUSE Breathe, and feel yourself returning to the present. Take in all the love and blessings from your ancestors. Hold them in your being. PAUSE Breathe again, and listen to one more whisper. “You stand on our shoulders, And we will love you always. Accept this beautiful whisper. And thank the ancestors for this blessing that you will carry with you. Always. What would you tell yourself about this difficult time? How did it change you? What could you do to help them? Whisper your answer. PAUSE Now, breathe deep, and imagine another period of challenge in your life. Another period where you would like to reach out to your past self and talk with them. PAUSE Find yourself in that challenging period. How did you look back then? How were you feeling? Take the hands of your past self, and hold them while offering advice. What could they do in this situation? Let them know it will be all right. PAUSE Breathe, And let one more difficult experience in your past come before you. Only this time, listen. Listen to what your past self says you are learning from this challenge. Did you really learn that? See the strengths in your past self that got you through the challenge. PAUSE Take a moment, and find your way back to the present. Sit for a minute with these experiences. Breathe in what they taught you. Breathe in what strengths you brought to them. Breathe in your gratitude for where you are now, and where you can go because of them. Honor these parts of you going forward. PAUSE And, as you look in the rear view mirror, you see the experiences of the past behind you. But, you also notice that all the gifts from those experiences are passengers in the back seat. The gifts that defined you are coming with you to the future. PAUSE Breathe, and once again thank those experiences for tagging along. They are key parts of you that you will want and need as you realize the dreams and goals ahead of you. Sometimes, you have to look behind in order to go ahead. LONG PAUSE… Let those dreams float in, Let them play, You can say yes to them all. You’re already worthy, You’re already loved, Pursue what you feel called. PAUSE… Slowly and softly you rest, Calmly and gently you breathe. The angels are so impressed, You are beyond belief. There’s a reason a certain sparkle speaks to you, and a method to making it your own. PAUSE… Think about the manifestation of this sparkle, What it looks like and feels like in your world. Pay attention to how your spirit responds, When you dream forward and imagine this new path. Look for the tingles of excitement, For the signals that suggest newborn hope.
