PAUSE As you listen to the drum, let it lull you into relaxation. let it calm you. let it find your internal rhythm, and align with it. PAUSE And, now imagine as the drum beats, a pearl white buffalo appears in the distance. It’s misty, ethereal, and magical in its beauty. PAUSE Take a deep breath, and as you exhale, see if you can visualize the buffalo transforming into a woman. A woman with dark hair and eyes, and draped in white buffalo robes. PAUSE When she approaches you, she reaches out and touches your forehead. As her fingers alight on you, visions of ancestors sweep through your mind. in a single second, visions of the most important women in your life now and before, are there with you. PAUSE Draw in a deep breath of gratitude as the White Buffalo Calf Woman connects your past to your present. PAUSE The White Buffalo Calf Woman begins to fade into the distance. But before she goes, she gifts you with an ethereal pipe, a sacred pipe of peace and unity. PAUSE And, as she disappears into the mist, you hold the ethereal pipe and pray, knowing that forever more, you are connected to all things, and all things are connected to you. And center yourself with this peaceful, powerful energy settling in your core, and radiating outward. She is seated on a pink lotus, with an elephant by her side, and you notice a jar of pure water in one hand, and in the other, the single branch of a willow tree. PAUSE Her goddess energy looms in the air. Let yourself connect with it. Her serenity embraces you. Let yourself feel that serenity. Her mercy touches you. Let yourself feel that mercy. PAUSE Without saying a word, she tells you she is Kwan Yin. PAUSE After a moment, Kwan Yin reaches out with her graceful hand and touches your heart with the willow branch. A flash of openness sweeps through you, And like the willow branch, You have been flexible. In life, you have bent, and you have not broken, no matter how hard the challenge. PAUSE In that moment, you take a deep breath, knowing that this goddess sees you, really sees you. And that she shares her boundless empathy with you. How are you feeling? Reflect on knowing this goddess sees you, knows your pains, and loves you Endlessly. PAUSE After a moment, Kwan Yin bows to you, and vanishes into the softness of the air. PAUSE So, take a moment and breathe deeply, and as you do, bring those feelings into your present. Bring the awareness that you are loved endlessly into your being. LONG PAUSE Let the stillness take over as you go deep inside, with tension dissolving and peace as your guide. LONG PAUSE Follow the peace as it spreads from head to toe, relaxing your shoulders and your back, your body as a whole. LONG PAUSE Now, envision a rosebud, straight and tall, waiting to blossom with its red velvet petals. PAUSE The rosebud travels deep to your inner garden; it reaches the heart where it wants to get started. PAUSE Slowly, the petals peek out, just a little at first, until the rose opens with a splendid burst. PAUSE Love cascades in your heart, when the rose bursts forth. You can feel it growing in your body all the way through your core. PAUSE You notice your skin takes on the fragrance of rose, and the feeling of love supports your repose. PAUSE And, intuitively, you know that if you touch someone’s hand you’ll transfer the love and feel it expand. PAUSE And then before your eyes, a purple aster blooms and journeys to your heart bringing faith and wisdom. PAUSE And from the aster’s center wisdom and faith are released, and a sense of trusting yourself more comes on with some peace. PAUSE So, take a few minutes and dive deeply inward, you hear “I trust myself” coming to you as a whisper. PAUSE Now, recognize the flowers of love and faith, and notice a daffodil appears gifting you with more traits. PAUSE Yellow daffodils shine light on what is the truth. They also bring forgiveness which can be freeing to you. PAUSE So the daffodil lights up the heart with what is honest and real and cozies up to the rose and aster creating an inner garden you feel. PAUSE So in a moment, the truth of your life becomes clear, and with love, you forgive mistakes and let go with no fear. PAUSE Now, white edelweiss joins in, filling up some heart spaces; it’s a flower of courage and not found in many places. PAUSE As it blooms, you know you’ve been a tower of courage, and you thank the edelweiss and let go of any worry. PAUSE You pause for a moment, gazing at the garden of your heart feeling the power of the flowers and what they impart. PAUSE Then, a marigold appears with orange petals in layers sparking creativity in you that you want to share. PAUSE In your mind’s eye, there’s a painting you paint, the colors swirl together and ignite your creativity once again. PAUSE Then a rose in a yellow that blossoms quite fair Fills your heart with joy, and then some to spare. PAUSE And it’s followed by a lily with peace in its aura bestowing its calm which, of course, you adore. PAUSE Now, your heart is healing with a rich flower bouquet that shares its gifts to ensure you’re more than okay. PAUSE And with gratitude abounding, you wrap up your bouquet, you know it’s there blossoming and ready for you, any day. Take a moment, and let those visions unfold. PAUSE Now, take a deep breath. Relax. And continue on your walk. PAUSE And, as your walking, pause. And gaze up at Mother Luna, who seems to smile upon you with infinite love. Your gaze fills with love in return. PAUSE You continue gazing at the moon, as she graciously fades her light, so her brother, the sun, can light the day. PAUSE Keep breathing, and let your breath lift you high up to that place where creativity and imagination, spirituality and love all come together. PAUSE And while in this place, see if you can imagine, sitting on a bench, with a diminutive woman seated next to you– a woman dressed humbly with a simple blue and white head covering a gown. PAUSE She turns to you, looking you in the eyes, and simply says, “Listen.” Then, she is silent. PAUSE For many moments, you and the nun listen to the silence, the pure, peaceful silence. And it feels comfortable. PAUSE After a moment, the nun turns toward you. She reaches out and takes your hands in hers, then speaks. “All children deserve to be cared for.” “All children deserve to be loved.” “All children deserve compassion.” PAUSE Another long pause ensues, and then the nun rises from the bench and begins walking away. You take a deep breath, and as you do, she turns back to you. “You, Child, deserve to be cared for. You, Child, deserve to be loved. You, Child, deserve compassion. Give those to yourself.” Then, she is gone. PAUSE You draw in another deep breath, feeling the essence of her words, touching you from the inside. You hold onto her words. PAUSE And as this day, and all days going forward begin, you say those words to yourself, reminding yourself that you are a Child who is worthy of all. PAUSE You see the canopy of tall trees above you. You hear the songs of birds, and the rustle of leaves, as rabbits and squirrels scurry. And you smell the woody mist of the forest. PAUSE Now, imagine if you can, hearing a deep rustling noise from a tall, proud tree, And, as you gaze at the tree, a woman appears from the trunk. PAUSE The woman is stunning, with hair that flows in blue-greens like the ocean, and bright green leaves trimmed in velvety green moss draping her. PAUSE Now, as the woman approaches, allow yourself to see this woman in all her natural beauty. Notice trees bowing to her, and animals of the forest following her like a train. PAUSE As she draws closer, you see the image of the earth as her belly, and you realize, she is Mother Earth. PAUSE Mother Earth reaches out to embrace you, and as she wraps her arms around you, there is an instant knowledge and connection to all the natural world. PAUSE You feel the waves of the ocean rolling in and around you. You feel the strength of all trees taking root in your core. You feel the power of the mountains bolstering you. And, you feel the love of all that’s natural running through you. PAUSE Mother Nature steps back, and smiles at you. And with a wave of her hand, the mighty tree she came from opens up and enfolds her. And, as she fades back into the natural world, a part of her lives in you. You are connected to all that is natural, to all that is Earth to all born of Mother Earth. PAUSE I push our door open, And take a hopeful glance, I already know what I’ll see, Still I’m hoping there’s a chance. PAUSE Will you glance up from your screen, Locking eyes with mine in need? I wait for a few moments… Nothing…despite my silent plead. PAUSE Disappointment fills my heart, Loneliness carves a hole. I can’t tell you how many times, I have felt invisible. LONG PAUSE I don’t need the world to see me, I already know who I am. But when you look right past me, It crushes me paper thin. PAUSE I often feel like I’m holding, Everything we hold dear. Juggling, pushing and getting it done, While you’re anywhere but here. PAUSE At times, you stop and notice, With words that feel sincere. But most times I’m convinced, You’ve forgotten that I’m here. PAUSE I want you to see me, I’m not out of your view. I want you to notice, I’m pulling away from you. PAUSE Disappointment fills my heart, Loneliness carves a hole. I can’t tell you how many times, I have felt invisible. LONG LONG PAUSE I calm myself down, As breath flows and eases through. It takes me awhile to remember, My sense of self doesn’t come from you. PAUSE So slowly I touch inside, And remember who I am, I honor the pain but know that, Staying here leaves me damned. PAUSE I see myself rise up, And demand to be seen. With love and hope, I tell you, To honor me like a queen. PAUSE You wrap your arms around me, Admitting where you went wrong. I melt into you and feel relieved, Grateful we’re so strong. PAUSE Gratitude fills my heart, Tenderness fills that hole. I promise to tell you every time, I feel invisible. PAUSE Now, breathe in deep, and imagine tasting something smoky. Maybe a piece of cheese, or a nut, or a glass of fine wine. Savor the taste. A little bit of smoky flavor is good. PAUSE Now, give yourself a minute, and think how it might be if that smokiness was with you all the time. It might be uncomfortable after a while, just like smoke in the air. It might physically and mentally bother you. PAUSE There are times in life where something just keeps bothering us. It feels like it won’t let go. And while it does this, it takes our attention away from where it's needed. PAUSE Now, draw in a deep breath, and as you exhale, visualize those nagging things in your life blowing out of you like smoke, then dissipating. Breathe in and out again, as much as you need, until you feel clear. Hold the clear space. Breathe easy. PAUSE Now, take one more deep breath, and as you exhale, allow yourself to acknowledge that you have the power to shift those things that won’t let go. Visualize them as a smoky mist, and just exhale until you feel clear. . PAUSE And acknowledge these foods, With their crunch and their taste, Each offer a gift That you won’t want to waste. PAUSE For with crunchy comes healthy, and sometimes sweet, So when your angry It’s important to find that little treat. And that treat is inside; It’s what your anger says you need, Speak it, write it Just do it constructively. And when the crunch is released, And your body is calm, You’ll be glad you expressed it, You'll be ready to move on. And your headache melting into pillows, Where you let yourself sink. PAUSE And feel fluffy feathers, Lift you up high. On those days when your hard on yourself, And you don’t know why. PAUSE Know your fluff can soften rough days, And ease falls on the hard ones. Just remember your fluff loves you, And will always come. For your fluff floats all around you, Like a cushion so soft It will protect and surround you, And bring you peace…a lot! PAUSE… Find the rhythm of your breath, And ride its waves of air as it enters, And exits, Your body. PAUSE… Breathing in and filling you, Breathing out and relaxing you. PAUSE… Breathe in, Breathe out. PAUSE… Feel yourself open, Ready to invite in healing. LONG PAUSE… See if you can imagine, A small, soft cloud, Hovering over your heart. PAUSE… It’s light and warm, And slowly rains its healing waters upon your heart. PAUSE… Drip by drip, You can feel yourself relax, And cleanse. Relax, And release all that is dark, All that is broken, All that is in pain. PAUSE… Feel yourself melt under the rain, Open, And soften. LONG PAUSE… Now imagine this soft cloud of healing, Cover your head, Releasing its healing raindrops upon you. Relaxing you, Melting you, And washing away all that has been bruised. LONG PAUSE… The cloud moves down your body, And hovers over your belly. Feel yourself soften and open to its presence. PAUSE… Each raindrop enters you, Repairing what has been broken, Restoring what has been disturbed. PAUSE… Feel yourself relax, Opening even further to the hum of the healing raindrops. LONG PAUSE… Now imagine this gentle cloud expanding, Covering your entire body. PAUSE… Its warmth soothes you, And its waters soften you. PAUSE… Each raindrop falls upon you, Absorbed into your skin, And searches for the dark, Seeks out the pain. PAUSE… No memory can hide. No part of you is invisible. PAUSE… You soften and open even more, You melt even deeper, As the healing raindrops flood you with love. PAUSE So, imagine that glass pail full of fresh milk, with a frothy layer of delicious cream on top. Now, visualize what typically happens to the cream– It gets scraped away. PAUSE Now, breathe for a moment, and let your heart ponder why the cream is scraped away. Is it too much, too rich, too risky? PAUSE Imagine now, that same full glass of milk With the layer of luxurious cream on top. And, now if you can, See yourself taking a spoon And blending that richness Into the rest of the milk. Now, take a sip. PAUSE Visualize taking another sip, And feeling that richness and little bit of risk Flowing into you. Feel it empowering you To take a chance, Do something you normally wouldn’t, Or to get past the fear. PAUSE The cream of the milk is the best part. Notice any thoughts heightening your stress, And give them permission to fade away. PAUSE Imagine now, Biting into something delicious and sweet. Like an orange, Or creamy chocolate, Or raw honey. Allow yourself to taste the sweetness. Become aware of how you feel, As it sweetness glides down your throat. LONG PAUSE Now, take a breath and gently scan your body for any areas of tension that you’re ready to release. LONG PAUSE As you focus on your body, whenever you come to an area of tension, breathe into it LONG PAUSE Imagine your breath opening any tightness or stress until you feel your whole body gently easing and relaxing. PAUSE Now imagine you hear a saxophone playing… and as you look around, you find yourself seated in a cozy jazz club. PAUSE On stage is a saxophone player with a black hat and hips that swing to the beat. PAUSE The club is dark, and the dim lights cast a purple hue over the room that mingles with smoke pirouetting in the air. PAUSE The sax player hits jazzy notes that bounce between deep, husky lows and vibrant highs. PAUSE And you find yourself moving in rhythm, gently bouncing from side-to-side to the beat of the music. PAUSE As you look around the club, you notice men in wingtip shoes tapping their feet and smiling. PAUSE You notice women in dresses, with bright red nails, tapping their fingers to the rhythm and smiling. PAUSE And, you feel a connection with these people, a feeling in your soul, as you move to the beat. PAUSE Now, imagine a piano player appears on stage and begins playing piano along with the saxophone player. PAUSE And some of the men who tapped their feet and some of the women who tapped their fingers get up to dance. PAUSE You draw in a breath and feel the music as it flows through your body. PAUSE The piano and a sax flow through you like a river, moving you deeper into the present. PAUSE The music swirls and twirls within you, rising high and bold, and dropping low and mellow. PAUSE And as each note vibrates within you, it unleashes joy, joy that flows throughout your body. PAUSE The sax and piano improvise, and you feel the music opening you, leading you in new directions, to new possibilities. PAUSE You take a moment, and bask in the new possibilities unfolding before you PAUSE You breathe in deeply, and tuck these new possibilities into your heart, feeling gratitude for the joy and excitement they bring you. PAUSE And, as you leave the club, and walk into the night air, you feel the sax and piano playing in your heart, leaving you excited for what’s next. Feel how it connects you with natural life of the beach. Hold onto those wonderful feelings of connection. PAUSE Breathe in again, And gently rub your fingers together While imagining a piece Of cool silk between them. Feel your hands glide over the silk. Feel how sensuous and luxurious it is, all at once. Bask in the luxurious feelings. Observe how they heal and energize you. PAUSE Now, breathe again. This time, through all your senses. Focus your breath on your root chakra, at the base of the spine. Breathe into the chakra. PAUSE While breathing, ask the chakra what it needs for you to be grounded. Listen with your heart, and visualize the chakra being filled with the needed energies. PAUSE Breathe into your sacral chakra, into your abdomen, below your navel. PAUSE While breathing, ask your sacral chakra what it needs for you to create in your life. Listen closely, and visualize connecting the chakra with the energy to meet that need. PAUSE Find your core, where your solar plexus chakra is, and breathe deeply into it. PAUSE As the breath fills your center, ask the chakra what it needs for you to feel confident. Listen with your heart, and gently allow yourself to fill that chakra with the energies needed. PAUSE Move your breath into your chest, your heart chakra. Breathe and ask it what it needs for you to love others and yourself. Let the answer come. See yourself acting on the answer. PAUSE Shift the focus of your breath to your throat chakra. Listen gently, as you breathe into this chakra. Let it tell you how you can communicate in ways that connect with others and honor yourself. Fill the throat chakra with energy. Hold close the throat chakra’s wisdom. PAUSE Now, breathe into the third eye chakra, located between your eyebrows. Ask the chakra what it needs to increase your intuition. Listen with your heart, and see the chakra filled with energy. Honor the chakra’s answer. PAUSE Now, breathe into your crown chakra, at the top of your head. Let the chakra tell you what it needs to deepen your spiritual connections. Listen. Visualize energy flowing into this chakra. Then commit to honoring the chakra’s needs. PAUSE Take a minute, and breathe through all the chakras. Let their energies come alive. Let their wisdom integrate in you. So you feel spiritually connected and fulfilled as you go about your day. PAUSE Breathe into the relaxation, moving it through your entire body. PAUSE Stay with your breath, as it flows through you, with each inhalation, bringing deeper relaxation and tranquility. PAUSE Now, go inside. Go inside to that place where your Inner Child lives. That part of you that can be full of joy, or that still has broken parts to heal. PAUSE Visualize your Inner Child. What do they look like? How is their attitude? Are they happy or hurting? Stay with them until you understand. PAUSE If your Inner Child is hurting, wrap your arms around yourself, around your Inner Child and hold them close. Hold yourself and rock Your Inner Child. Feel the love and nurturing coming to you. PAUSE Now, take a moment to listen and observe your Inner child. What do they need? Listen closely. See if you can understand and feel what they need. PAUSE Now, see yourself holding hands with your Inner Child. Imagine taking a walk with them and comforting them, supplying them with what they need. Hold those feelings close. PAUSE Take a deep breath now, and look in the eyes of your Inner Child. From a place of love, promise them that you hear them, that you will honor them, and that you are grateful for them. And when you’re ready, come back to the present and know that you are capable of healing your Inner Child. Any time. Anywhere.
