PAUSE So, prepare your mind, and your body, too. Relax and open, through and through. PAUSE Now, as you draw in a breath, imagine someone asks, “What can you learn from a blade of grass?” PAUSE So, look down below at your freshly cut lawn, still covered in dew from the early dawn. And before your eyes, a blade of grass appears, talking in a voice that can be heard by your ears. PAUSE Now, take another breath, and let calm be your guide. Listen to the grass to hear what’s inside. PAUSE “I’m tall and flexible, and even a little cool,” says the blade of grass looking up to you. PAUSE “I stand my own ground, and in that, I take pride. I know who I am both out and inside.” PAUSE The words of the grass, though odd, ring true. It seems this little plant has something to say to you. PAUSE Says the blade, “When you go through life, do you feel good about you? if not, it’s time for a Blade of Grass review.” PAUSE Then the blade points out all the other blades of grass, and says, “We’re all different. That is a fact!” “You may think we look the same at first glance. But we’re all individuals that do our own dance!” PAUSE “And one more thing,” says the Blade looking at you. “Though we are individuals, we are connected, too.” PAUSE And, like magic, the blade of grass disappears, Leaving you with some ideas that are becoming clear. You are truly an individual, with gifts all your own, and more importantly, you’re not alone. For you’ve been reminded Of your strength in mind, body, and spirit. It had to come from a blade of grass, in order for you to understand and really hear it. Spine Expansion

PAUSE Come into your breath, And find the smoothness of its rhythm. They way you expand as you inhale, And contract as you exhale. The rise and fall of it all, The circular nature of your breathing. PAUSE Let your breath slow you down, As you sink further into its cycles. Opening a space for your thoughts to extract, And float away. Extract, And float away. LONG PAUSE Now soften your body, From head to toe. Imagining waves of calm, Moving through you, Over and over again, Relaxing you deeply. LONG PAUSE Now see if you can imagine, The entire length of your spine, Softly glowing a golden hue. PAUSE Feel the warmth of this glow, As your attention comes to the base of your spine. PAUSE Be here in this space, And as you breathe, Feel the space between each vertebrae expand, Opening, And releasing all the tension and energy, It was holding. LONG PAUSE Feel the tingles of relief spread, As every cell in your body is lighter, And free from pain. LONG PAUSE Now follow that warm, golden glow, To the middle of your back. Watch it illuminate and soften with your attention. PAUSE Each time you breathe in, Fill each opening along your middle spine with precious space, Breathing in just a little deeper each time, Inviting in calm and peace, And releasing all the tension, And energy that’s built up inside. PAUSE Breathe in and expand, Breathe out and release. LONG PAUSE Now follow the golden glow, To the top of your spine. Your shoulders, Your neck, And the base of your head. PAUSE Breathe into the spaces between your vertebrae, Stretching them apart, As all the pain, And tension release. Expanding, Releasing. Expanding, Relieving. LONG PAUSE Now feel the golden glow of your entire spine, As a gentle force pulls from the top, And from the bottom, The thoughtful opposition, Elongating you, Flooding your entire body, With lightness, And relief, As any remaining tension, Energy, And pain, Releases, And dissolves. And slow the thoughts in your head. PAUSE Draw into yourself, so you’re comfortable, relaxed, and at peace. PAUSE Now, focus on letting any tension or stress simply melt away, so you’re relaxed and calm. PAUSE Imagine, if you can, seeing yourself going about your day, Follow yourself as you Work, Tend to the home, Care for family, And take care of all those responsibilities that keep things running smoothly. It’s okay if you feel momentary stress or overwhelm. PAUSE Now, take a deep, cleansing breath, and see if you can imagine yourself as a ballerina, dancing gracefully on her toes. PAUSE As you go through your day, you gently dance through these activities, while gliding and moving on your toes. Pausing and pirouetting with deliberate ease. PAUSE Observe how you handle each responsibility you dance through with focus, grace and the fluidity of a ballerina. PAUSE Now, breathe in again, and take a moment to notice the serenity that’s now part of you. PAUSE Everything moves and flows like a dance, with you as both dancer and choreographer. You are in control. PAUSE Breathe in again slowly, letting the richness of the breath open you more. Take a moment for gratitude, expressing appreciation Because you are in control of how you handle the choices and responsibilities in your world. You are the choreographer and dancer of your life. Now and always. PAUSE Know that all in your life has a purpose, and moves you toward your highest good, where you find your greatest peace. PAUSE Now, breathe deeply, and as you do, visualize peace. Your peace. What does peace look like for you? How does peace feel in your life? PAUSE Once you have that vision, place yourself in it as a dancer, any dancer you want to be. PAUSE Now, breathe, and begin dancing. dancing toward your vision of peace, taking steps forward to where you want to be. PAUSE Observe your dance. How are your arms moving? Your legs? Your core? They may move toward the peace, and at times, fall back some. That’s okay. PAUSE When a thought or scene arises that pulls you away from your peace, find a dance move that puts you back on the path. Visualize yourself dancing toward your peace again. PAUSE Now, imagine that you’re there, standing right before your peace. What dance step do you take to enter peace? Allow yourself to take that step. PAUSE Breathe and stay in your peace. Notice how it feels, How your body feels, How your mind feels. Take this new consciousness with you. And, any time, you feel you’re being pulled out of your peace, visualize the step you can take to enter it again. And remember: You are in charge of your peace. Always. PAUSE Notice your breathing, as it forms a gentle rhythm, one that’s smooth and relaxing. PAUSE Draw in another breath, and let this breath reach out through your entire body, opening and relaxing it. PAUSE Take a moment, and connect with your body. Check in with it. PAUSE Now, imagine how you feel when carrying a heavy burden. You might feel weighed down, slowed down, or maybe even stuck. Take a minute to acknowledge how this affects you. PAUSE Breathe in deeply and fully. . Now, vIsualize, if you can, your body beginning to move slowly through the burden, a slow dance, physically moving through it, and shaking the burden. Let the dance flow a little more and a little more. PAUSE And, as you move and shake, see and feel the burden lessen its hold on you. As you dance and sway, watch the burden fall away. PAUSE Pause, and breathe in again. And when you’re ready, connect with a fear or some anxiety simmering in your core. Sit with it for a minute. Become familiar with it. PAUSE Now, imagine shaking and dancing through the anxiety, Drawing in and using its energy to move creatively with great strength and direction. PAUSE And, as you dance away the anxiety, feel it replaced with peace and grounding. PAUSE Take another breath, and breathe in the peace, Know that you have the power to shake away that anxiety or burden, and turn it into positive energy, or to just let it go. All you have to do is dance through it. PAUSE… The woods are alive. LONG PAUSE… You soon arrive at the water, And sit down on its soft banks. PAUSE… Feel the coolness of the grass below you. PAUSE… The sun peaks in through an opening of the canopy, Blanketing you in its warm glow. PAUSE… Rest here at the side of the creek, Letting the gentle rhythm of the water soothe you. LONG PAUSE… Rest deeper now, Peaceful with the magic of the woods. PAUSE Allow the energy of your breath to circulate through you, so you feel relaxed and connected. PAUSE And, as you draw in another breath, imagine someone in your life you're close to– someone you share intimately with such as a spouse, partner, dear friend or family member. Hold their image and energy. PAUSE Now, imagine, if you can, dancing with your partner, moving forward and backward, stepping in and out. PAUSE Take a minute and just feel the flow of the dance. Watch and observe the flow of the dance. Are you both in sync? Do you both move together? Or, does one of you step forward and the other back? PAUSE Now, breathe. Breathe and keep dancing with your partner. And as you dance, allow the feelings you have about the dance to come into your awareness. What are those feelings? PAUSE While dancing, notice anything you’d like to change about this dance of intimacy. What could be better? Focus on you and what you could do, and let those thoughts integrate into you. PAUSE Now, visualize dancing, moving and making those changes happen. And, then, sit back and watch. Watch how the shape and flow of the dance changes. Embrace the new rhythm. Welcome the new dance. PAUSE Now, return to your breathing. and as you breathe, let the changes you made in the dance open up and find their place in how you connect with this person. Sometimes, we’re in a dance with someone that could change for the better, and we don’t even know it. Own the changes. And the healthier, happier dance you two can now share. A dance that honors you. A dance that honors your partner. A dance that honors your relationship. PAUSE Allow yourself a moment to be in the present, becoming aware of all that’s around you. PAUSE If a distracting thought passes by, let it. Your focus Is on you. PAUSE Now, from this calm, observant place, imagine the emotion of Fear as a tap dancer. PAUSE For a moment, Fear is quiet. And then, the tapping begins. It starts slowly, then intensifies, becoming louder, faster more robust. It may even feel a bit desperate. PAUSE Take a moment to watch Fear dance. What do you see from the dance? What can you understand about your Fear as she dances? Take hold of this healing knowledge. Bring it into your consciousness. PAUSE Now, breathe. Let Fear fade, and calm return to you. PAUSE After a moment, you notice the emotion of Grief rising from the ground, like a modern lyrical dancer. PAUSE Grief’s moves are powerful, and filled with pain. Grief’s arms rise high and fall low, and he jumps in the air in splits, before falling to the ground on his knees. Grief is aware that he must keep moving through the pain. How can you use Grief’s dance to understand and move through pain? Bring this awareness into you. PAUSE Now, breathe. Let Grief fade, and calm return to you. PAUSE After a minute, notice the emotion of Joy twirling with warmth and happiness. PAUSE Joy moves her hips, brings her arms up high. Every step is filled with beauty. What is Joy saying to you about your life? Is Joy with you? PAUSE Take a moment, and allow yourself to feel your Joy. Allow yourself to integrate Joy into your being. PAUSE Draw in a deep breath, and give thanks to these emotions and their dances. Know they are a part of you, and that they can be danced through with grace, love and success. Always. Take a moment just for you, centering yourself. PAUSE Become aware of the now. How you feel. How your body feels. Where your mind is at. Just observe these things. PAUSE Now, draw in a full, expanding breath, and let it out. Feel the expansion within you. PAUSE Now, imagine being outside. It’s comfortably warm, with a cool breeze, lightly bouncing in the air. PAUSE As that breeze gently sails through the oak trees, you notice something: The branches dance with the breeze. They bend forward and back in rhythm with the breeze. PAUSE Take a deep breath, and as you breathe out, visualize a pair of butterflies, dancing together near a flower. PAUSE The butterflies flit and flutter in unison, sometimes giving each other space, sometimes drawing close. All while gracefully twirling from flower to flower. PAUSE Breathe in again slowly, letting the richness of the breath open you more. PAUSE As you exhale, visualize a tiny plant pushing up from the ground like a new bud. PAUSE Imagine, if you can, the bud growing before your eyes, slinking and swaying, pushing and reaching upward in beautiful a dance of strength. Until the plant, and leaves, and flowers, stand upright in the world. PAUSE Now, breathe in the wonderful air once more, and bring your awareness back to the now, where you know, all around you, Nature dances. Life dances. And you are always a part of that dance. Painting Chakras

As you feel that pulse, allow yourself to blend with it, Letting it melt into your cells with energy flowing. LONG PAUSE Now gently shift your focus to your breath, Breath that sweeps and expands within you, Every time you breathe in, And out. LONG PAUSE As your breath fills you, become aware of its rhythm, its pulse– Drawing in… and letting out… in… and out. LONG PAUSE Now, see if you can imagine an artist’s canvas inside you, Unfolding at your center, spreading to your chakras. See a paintbrush thick with colors, swishing life and energy onto your canvas. PAUSE… Envision the paintbrush at the base of your spine, painting your root chakra red, filling it with stability, like an ancient tree whose roots run deep. Breathe in the tree’s aroma and hear a soft whisper, Red grounds me. PAUSE… Now, the paintbrush moves below the belly button, with long, orange strokes It taps your feelings– Opening them like a kaleidoscope of emotions that you feel and breathe in. You hear the whisper, Orange connects me to my feelings. PAUSE Envision the brush now rolling over your center With waves of yellow like rays of sunshine, shimmering with confidence. Breathe in the rays and hear, Yellow radiates my confidence. PAUSE Now, the brush wraps gently ‘round your chest, With a beautiful green, flowing over the heart. And with each pass of the brush, calm washes over you. Breathe in the calm as the words come, Green is my peace. PAUSE The brush moves to the throat chakra with turquoise-blue that glistens like the ocean. You peer into the water and see your true expression, So, you breathe in the ocean and affirm, Blue is my self-expression. PAUSE The brush dips deep into an abundant indigo blue and forms scallops along the edges of your third eye, Like a flower that tingles your third eye with truth, it blossoms with your awareness, As you hear, Indigo opens my intuition. PAUSE The paintbrush pauses as it reaches the crown chakra. Then, with a single stroke, a divine purple light stretches from you to the heavens. PAUSE You're in awe of the light. You reach out to touch it and as it moves through your fingers, you know. With purple, I am one with the Divine. LONG PAUSE… You are calm. You are aligned. You are whole. PAUSE And as you walk along the path, Notice the light of creativities getting wider and opening up more on all sides of you. PAUSE Now, pause. Really pause. Let the creative spark reveal what’s in front of you. A dream? A vision? Give yourself permission to see. PAUSE Now, imagine your vision or dream, Waiting for you at the end of the path, slowly absorbing into you, filling you with hope and purpose. Stay with that feeling. PAUSE Breathe. And let this new direction, flowing with hope and purpose, open your heart to the world, inviting this to become real In the Now. PAUSE It’s not only smiles, That chase away stress, A sense of humor and laughter can make it much less. PAUSE So, imagine yourself laughing, When the stress is tough, Handling it with grace, Instead of giving up. PAUSE Stay with that stillness, Breathing into it, Letting it float through you, Like a gentle cloud. PAUSE And while holding space in the stillness, Imagine a journal and pen materializing before you. PAUSE And with this journal, The stress you need express, The tension blocking you from moving forward, All write themselves into the journal. PAUSE So, take a minute and breathe, And, as you breathe, Let the stress out, Let every bit of stress write itself on a page in your journal. PAUSE Now, breathe deep, taking a pause to release all the stress onto the page. PAUSE Imagine looking at the page with all your stress emptied onto it. Look at what’s written on the page. PAUSE And, now, imagine if you can, An eraser gently erasing the stress. And with each stress removed, a feeling of greater calm comes over you. PAUSE Observe the eraser work, until every bit of stress is completely gone, and there is only a blank white page. Breathe, and feel the deep relaxation around you. PAUSE After a moment, visualize the pen writing again. Watch closely, as each stroke of the pen forms letters and words, until you see the words: “I am powerful.” See those words. Hear those words. PAUSE The pen writes another line, and you watch until these words appear: “I am calm.” See those words. Hear those words. PAUSE Breathe, and observe the pen writing more: “I can handle it all easily.” Let those words move through your entire being. PAUSE Now, take a minute and breathe, letting all three phrases blend with your spirit: “I am powerful.” “I am calm.” “I can handle it all easily.” PAUSE And when you feel stressed, remember your secret journal, with these magic words and their energies written in it Because you can handle it easily. Hello from Katie : The Energy of Worry vs the Energy of Trust

How do you feel when you wake up in the morning lately? I’ve noticed that I wake up under the weight of a never-ending task list. I spend my mornings in my head, organizing, prioritizing and putting life’s puzzle pieces together. I get a lot of satisfaction out of this. (Anyone else’s brain work like tetris?) But, I’ve noticed that there’s an undercurrent of anxiety here. Kinda like, if I keep checking things off this task list, “it” won’t get me. I can keep “it” at bay. What is “it?” I’m not too sure yet. But what I do know is that there are a lot of moving parts in my life right now. (You too?). Many big things in transition. So, perhaps my tetris brain feels some sense of control as all these things are on the move. Perhaps this in and of itself is fine, but what about the underlying worry? It’s like I’m watching an artist painting a mural and I’m unsure of how the big, red stroke of color she just made fits in. I can’t see the larger picture. So I worry. I let anxiety pool up inside my mind and body and fret about each brushstroke. I seem to forget that I can just sit back and trust that the artist will create the most magical masterpiece. That I can surrender to the flow of the process. And I forget that I am the artist. And that I am creating this vision with the Universe. Can you think of an area of your life where you are in the energy of worry lately? What are you always trying to control? What are you always trying to organize? Now breathe… How can you invite in more trust? How can you loosen your grip on all the details? Trust the process. Trust yourself. Trust the flow. Trust in the divine purpose of it all. And how does that make you feel? Today I’m making a few declarations, commitments to myself, and you’re welcome to join in with me if it feels right for you. I choose to pause each morning and become aware of my energy. I choose to remember who I am, so that I may move through my day aligned. I choose to follow what feels good, and trust my intuition. I choose to remember that I am the painter…the creator of my life. Each color, each brushstroke is up to me. I choose to let go of the energy of worry and surrender to the energy of trust. PAUSE Then the orb moves gently down your thighs and calves, warming away any tension or stress, before landing its healing heat at your feet. PAUSE Now, take in another breath, a breath that spreads the healing warmth of the orb all through, so you feel a gentle, relaxing warmth in your body. PAUSE Breathe in again. And as you do, notice the orb gently dances from your hands and goes back into the air, where it dances for a minute, and then fades away. PAUSE Now, pause for a moment, and feel the warmth of your body. Allow yourself to know that you can call the healing orb at any time. It is there for you to heal at any time, day or night. PAUSE The moon shimmers like a silver pearl, and opens you to your emotions. PAUSE As you visualize the moon, notice it lights your inner landscape. It scatters the dark inside you, instead, filling it with luminescence, filling it with love and compassion, filling it with intuition. PAUSE Take a minute, and touch your hand to your heart. Feel it’s rhythm, and in your mind’s eye, see it’s light--the light of your moon. PAUSE Now, breathe deep, and let the moon’s power open your vision. You notice you now have rich, black fur that’s soft and protective. And, there’s a snowy stripe of fur running down your back, as well as a bushy tail that helps you balance. You are an adorable skunk. PAUSE The first thing you notice about your new state of being is a sense of stillness, a deep feeling of peace in all of your core. PAUSE Now, imagine if you can, feeling curious about your surroundings. Everything is interesting, Take a minute and observe tiny acorn that rolls down a hill. Take a minute to observe a leaf Tumbling in a breeze. Take a minute to notice a mouse scampering through the pine needles. They all fascinate you. PAUSE After a moment, you observe a badger coming close, growling. Yet, your stillness remains. You stomp your feet, scratch the ground, do a little dance– all to remind the badger that you can simply spray him. The badger retreats. PAUSE Now, breathe, and come back to the here and now as you. And, as you do, notice the solid calm of the skunk is still present in you. PAUSE Breathe. And acknowledge the awareness that you now have the power to assert without being aggressive. In other words, you have the power to remain calm and centered in all situations. Because, now, you embody the Zen of the skunk. Forever more. As a wolf, you hear, see, and understand the world around you. PAUSE Running free as a wolf allows your natural wildness and innate fierceness to unfold and open in you. You are free. You are fierce. PAUSE And now imagine that you stop running, and when you do, you find your wolf pack. Notice how loving and devoted you are to your cubs Notice your devotion and loyalty To the other wolves in your pack. Your wolf nature brings you balance, balance between fierce freedom and loving loyalty. PAUSE Take a moment to breathe. And, as you return to the present as yourself, there’s an acknowledgement of change. PAUSE Now, allow yourself to feel your body morphing, and instead of floating on top of the waves, you are darting in and out of them. You are playing in the waves, and it is pure joy. You are a beautiful, sleek dolphin. PAUSE As you play in the waves, every now and then, you roll on your back and slap your tail in the water. You squeal with delight as the water splashes on and around you. PAUSE Now, imagine if you can, seeing a big, brown pelican perched on a buoy, as if standing at attention. PAUSE You swim to the pelican with grace and ease. And, as you arrive at the buoy, you pop your head out of the water, and begin chatting with pelican, and happily splashing the surface with your fins. PAUSE As you swim, you find a pod of dolphins, and begin leaping through the waves with them. Together you swim and chat with clicks and squeaks, all while enjoying the beauty and feel of the water as it slides over your skin. PAUSE Now, take a deep breath, and find yourself dry and back in the present moment. Take a moment and reflect on your experience as a dolphin. PAUSE As your heart and mind connect with the dolphin, you become aware that your consciousness has embraced the animal’s playful joy. You become aware that there needs to be more time for play in your life. And, that no one can really steal your joy. So, remember, every day, to take time to swim with the dolphin in your soul. With fierce independence, you move into the unknown space– a space you never thought you would dare to go. But this time…you know you will be alright. You are the Bear. PAUSE After a while, you stop and rest. And you notice that, as the Bear, There is a feeling of introspection, of going deep inside. Allow yourself to stay in that place and reflect. PAUSE Now, take a deep breath, and come back to the here and now. And once back, touch your center, and let yourself feel that inner courage– that strength and independence– all of which allowed you, as the Bear, to strike out on your own for a new adventure. Hello From Katie 💓 - Slow Down to Speed Up + A Million Little Reasons

Hey, it’s Katie and I’m here for a mid-month check in. How are you? How’s your month coming along? How’s your mental health? We’re well into Mental Health Awareness Month and I hope you’ve really been enjoying all the bonus and guest meditations we’ve been providing across the network. I’m sharing honestly today about why we need to “slow down to speed up” and what that’s actually looked like for me this month (single mommying with hubs out of town, end of school extra activities and moving!). PAUSE Breathe, and let your mind stay soft and clear. PAUSE Sometimes, we feel bad about ourselves. worse than makes sense to our rational mind. The feelings we have are intense and more than we can understand. When that happens, we’re dealing with shame. PAUSE So, scan your body. and ask yourself, Are there any parts of my body that I feel ashamed of? If the answer is “yes,” imagine putting a little, red heart on that body part, and blowing it a kiss of love. PAUSE Now, scan your mind, that beautiful brain of yours. and if you come across any thoughts that bring shame, put a loving heart sticker on them, and blow them a kiss. PAUSE Now, take a minute, and scan your heart or any hurts, deep hurts. And if you find some, put a red, loving heart sticker on them, and blow them a kiss. PAUSE Breathe now. Just breathe. And imagine Those painful thoughts and hurts being pulled out of you and forming a dandelion– a fluffy, white dandelion. PAUSE Now, blow the dandelion. Blow away the shame. Let it disappear into the sky. And remember, the antidote to shame is love. So, keep your little, red heart stickers with you every day, always, and heal your shame. PAUSE Stay with those feelings, As they dissipate your stress, And leave you open and aware Of what you want to express. PAUSE There are times in life, When our grief is like a slide, It sends mood downward, And it feels like an endless ride. PAUSE It opens a pit in your core, With pain you want to kill. You try everything to suppress it, But the pain comes back still. PAUSE Grief is a feeling That finds you when you hide, Then sends you spiraling, Farther down the slide. PAUSE So, breathe very deep. Go ahead and scream and cry. Let out all the pain That keeps lurking inside. PAUSE For it will pause eventually, And give you peace, And you’ll feel a bit better, When you let these emotions release. PAUSE So, when you’re on the grief slide, Whizzing down fast, Imagine grabbing hold of the sides, Until the feelings pass. Then visualize, if you can, Inching back up the slide, Getting to the top, Where you started the ride. And give yourself a break, Or maybe a pat on the back, No matter where you climb to, You’ve made progress–that’s a fact. PAUSE And the next time your grief, Pries open your core, And you’re compelled to fill it With something more. Imagine your hands, Holding onto each side, And pushing yourself back up To the top of the slide. PAUSE Then breathe. And breathe. And breathe. PAUSE Just give yourself space and know, This how you handle your grief, And that in time, it will pass, And bring you relief. Blessings. Let your float through the tension, relaxing you. PAUSE Keep breathing deeply and relaxing, becoming aware of the stress and tension easing in your body. PAUSE Take a deep breath, and let your mind acknowledge that there are times when you feel anger. It’s okay. PAUSE So, take a moment, and visualize the color red. As you see the color, breathe. Breathe and become aware of the color red in you. Is it in your core? Your abdomen? Your head? Or, somewhere else? PAUSE Now, give yourself a moment, and acknowledge how those parts of your body feel. Do they hurt? Are they tense? Do they feel numb? Allow yourself permission to observe without judgment. PAUSE Now, take a deep breath, and let yourself take in the idea of red as anger. Yes, anger can mean mad, and that can affect your body, mind, and soul. Anger can also mean threatened, and that can affect your body, mind, and soul. Anger can mean inflamed, and can affect your, your body, mind, and soul. PAUSE Now, pause for a minute, And imagine a glass pitcher Filled with crystalline water. Pure, clear, healing water. Now, imagine that water pouring over and bathing the redness. Cooling it. Soothing it. Letting it go. PAUSE Now, breathe. Breathe, And feel the relaxation and peace That the cool water brings. And, as you do, Remember, anger is an important emotion. It’s a signal that you may want to acknowledge in a healthy way. It’s also an emotion you have the power to control. Just remember your cool, calming water. Now, and always. PAUSE Breathe, and let any distracting thoughts, Evaporate into the air, Leaving you open and tranquil, And free from cares. PAUSE Anxiety is that emotion That can throw you off your game. It’s like a rodeo horse, That you hold onto, But that finally kicks you off. PAUSE It can knit knot after knot In your core, Flush you with heat, Send your heart racing, And even make you Feel sick to your stomach. PAUSE So, breathe. Breathe deep into your core. Lift your arms, And expand your chest, So more calming, relaxing air, Fills your being. PAUSE Now, imagine, if you can, Visualizing that anxiety. What color is it? Does it have a human image, Or something else. Whatever form it takes, Visualize it in front of you. PAUSE Take a deep breath, And look straight at your anxiety. And, as you do, Hear the words, “I accept you” Whispered in your ear. Let the words repeat. Then breathe again. PAUSE Now, look again at your anxiety. Has it changed any? And, as you look at your anxiety, Hear the words, “I love myself with or without you,” Whispered in your ear. Let the words repeat. Then breathe again. PAUSE Now, look again at your anxiety. Has it changed any? And, as you look at your anxiety, Hear the words, “I trust the Universe to work things out,” Whispered in your ear. Let the words repeat. Then breathe again. PAUSE Now, breathe in and out, Until your core is light, And filled with relaxing air. And, as you start your day, Remember this to deal with your anxiety: I breathe. I accept. I love. I trust. They will be with you, any time you need them. PAUSE Now, take a deep breath, and let yourself be bathed in gratitude. Gratitude for your strength. Gratitude for your healing. Gratitude for where you are now, or for the path you're following. Hold onto the gratitude. PAUSE Breathe. And allow yourself to feel your body. Then, imagine letting yourself be healed by gratitude. How does it feel when bathed in and healed with gratitude? Capture a snapshot of that feeling in your body, and hold onto it. PAUSE Now, return to your awareness to the present. And, as you do, open some mental and emotional space for self-compassion. Let yourself express some love and compassion to you! And, as you feel that love and compassion, give thanks for them, for they are yours anytime you need them, anytime you feel down. Now and always.
