Having recapped the draft class it is time to turn to the undrafted free agents. The New England Patriots have generally been a model franchise when it comes to finding talent in the undrafted ranks, and last year was not an exception to this rule. A year ago three such players made the roster: WR Gunner Olszewski, WR Jakobi Meyers, and TE Jakob Johnson. That kept alive a streak dating back to 2004. With the NFL Draft a week away, it is time to wrap up the position groups. In this installment we talk about linebackers and defensive backs. With players like Elandon Roberts, Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy on their way out of town, linebacker might be a need both early and often in this draft. Who might make sense at 23? Who might make sense later in the draft? What linebacker is Mark Schofield perhaps way too high on? What other players are fits? As we inch closer and closer to the draft, the positional breakdowns continue. In this episode we look at the top offensive and defensive linemen in the draft, or, at least how Mark Schofield ranks them. We start with the offensive tackle group, which is as solid as a group gets. Then we kick things inside, looking at the interior offensive linemen. We have some nasty guys in the interior of this draft, including a Conrad Dobler comp. Then we switch to the defensive side of the football. Sure, Chase Young is EDGE1, but what about after that? This is an..interesting edge group. But when we kick inside, there is perhaps more depth to love. For example, the guy at IDL10 might be one of Mark's favorite players in this entire draft.
