Chad Zueck has been in full time vocational ministry for 15 years (a Lead Pastor for 10 yrs), and has been working in men's ministry for 18 years. Chad was not raised in a Christian home and after his parents divorced at age 4, his upbringing was very challenging. This fueled insecurity and frustration through the teenage years. Three days after high graduation, Chad joined the US Navy. Marla and Chad got married shortly after enlisting. Chad gave his life to Christ at 21 and began to be fathered by God. Chad got connected to a PK group at his church and grew a bunch in a short time. Chad learned how to be a father by being fathered by God. This sent him on a journey of Spirit filled self-discovery. Chad has been healed of many wounds and he is on a mission to help men find healing for their wounds. Chad has developed some material that will be in an ebook. Aaron Sullivan is an Average Joe from Bennington, VT who has overcome mass tragedy and adversity. From the death of his family and obesity he has endured and with courage has overcome. His goal is to reach the young men that are lost and either being the person to listen to them or getting them connected with an older/seasoned man that can listen and guide them. Aaron was born into a hurting family. His parents had dealt with the loss of their first-born son and one of their only supports within a few months of each other. He played sports in school but stopped mid-high school when his friends convinced him to check out the computer classes and that skill set took off. Even attended the Skills USA competition for the classes. Now he am a happily married to his best friend, which is a funny story. And the Lord blessed them with the children they have prayed for. Aaron prayed for a son to carry on the Sullivan name and Stacie prayed for a little girl. From Aaron: I am no expert in any areas, I know I joked around when I was younger being a jack of all trades, but a master of none. I tend to learn or take in knowledge to have tools that I may need for any given moment. If anything, I can bring to the podcast is an example of hope and the Lord's grace. Due to the fire, I had tried to fill the void with everything and anything, BUT God's grace was there and protected me against my poor choices. And when you feel like you are so far from Him, He has this way of being right there even when all you expect is His back facing you, but He is there with arms wide open for you. Scott Haima's life work has been intergenerational, masculine, discipleship. This passion was developed as early as age 10 when his Dad started a Royal Rangers Outpost in Trenton, Michigan. Scott was very active in this until 1999, when he became active in Christian Service Brigade (CSB). Professionally Scott took a few paths before full-time ministry. He served in the United States Air Force. A second path led to finance positions at Price Waterhouse-Coopers, Buffalo Sabres, and Merchants Insurance Group. In 1999, a third path developed. He was asked to serve on the Board of Directors for CSB Ministries in 2009 then felt the call to accept the full-time position of Regional in 2010. In 2015 Scott was selected as President of CSB Ministries. Scott has three sons and one daughter. Josh Cowger is a husband, father, hunter, and the owner of Cowger Electric, a small electrical shop based in Newberg Oregon. He has 2 sons ages 8 and 10. His hobbies include hunting, Brazilian jiujitsu, coaching youth sports, and photography. He has been a self-employed for 8 years and an electrician for 16. Josh's wife would describe him as someone who doesn't need another hobby, but he wouldn't always describe himself as someone who always had hobbies. Things changed for Josh in 2015, he had testicular cancer, and that gave him a perspective change. Josh was 35, he had a list of things that were interests, things that he always said he would do when he got in better shape, and had more time. Then Josh realized that he had been saying the same thing since he was 24. So, he made a change. Rick Aldred was born in Springfield, MO, and he graduated from Missouri State University. In 2010, he received his commission as a 2LT in the US Army. Rick spent the next 8 years on active duty, deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as numerous training exercises in Europe. During his time in Europe, Rick began a series of emotional and physical affairs with multiple women. He eventually confessed his sin to his wife in October of 2016, 1 month after their first "miracle" baby was born. Rick was given the ultimatum to leave the military or his wife was going to leave. This began a long road of recovery and reconciliation, and, through it all, Rick discovered a desire to help others through his own brokenness. Joe Myall has been married three times and has four biological children, 3 sons and 1 daughter, as well as two stepsons. He has 13 grandchildren, with number 14 due in November. Joe's first marriage ended in divorce in 1989 after 19 years for a multitude of reasons, most of which can be boiled down to one statement- "He was not the man God wanted him to be." Joe married Robyn in 1990. Although he had made an intellectual decision to accept Christ as Savior in 1968, it was 1998 before Joe truly had a conversion experience. That fall, Joe decided he was tired of having to always be right, being judgmental of others and he turned his life over to God. In 2002, Joe was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, went through chemotherapy and is now 17 years post-chemo. In 2006, Joe and Robyn "retired" and moved 1000 miles from the Central Coast area of California, about mid-way between LA and SF, to western Washington across the Puget Sound from Seattle. Robyn had worked as a psychiatric RN and Joe had been in law enforcement. Eventually, Robyn went to work part time for the local mental health agency and Joe worked with the county drug court program for a few years. Between 2006 and early 2019, Joe was involved in several ministries in his church and his community, including working with the youth pastors, men's ministry and as a chaplain with the local fire district. In the Spring of 2015, Robyn became ill and was diagnosed with stage-4 metastatic cancer of unknown origin, with a prognosis of 2-3 months to live. Robyn declined any diagnostic tests or treatment, opting for quality over quantity of life. God gave Joe and Robyn 2.5 more years together, before she began experiencing extreme pain in August of 2017. In September, Robyn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma with weeks to live. Intimacy anorexia is relationship disorder that is marked by a lack of intimacy in a relationship. It occurs when someone in a relationship actively withholds emotional, spiritual and sexual intimacy from their spouse or partner. This lack of intimacy harms the marriage, damages the relationship causing pain and loneliness and impacts the spouse or partner significantly. Dr. Douglas Weiss coined the term "intimacy anorexia" when he started seeing a separate, yet related aspect of sexual anorexia in his private psychological counseling practice. He was able to link these cases of sexual anorexia into a broader spectrum of related issues and noted that people engaging in this type of withholding behavior did it for other reasons that those typically associated with sexual anorexia.
