The day has finally come for 3BG to talk about the Grand Tour. Ugh, blow me...I'm sorry folks but we didn't want to talk about Dragonball GT. Akira Toriyama was happy to get the check from Toei but wasn't a fan of how they used his creation. But we had to do this, we needed to move on to doing the Dragonball series and later on Dragonball Super. Which btw, DBS pretty much erases a lot of what GT was trying to do. And in some cases, it did the same and did better. So as you can see, we're gonna give this show a fair shot.....nah. Bad Boys For Life is a return to form for the Bad Boys franchise. Unlike the previous film which was bigger and had more explosion and action, Bad Boys For Life brings it back to the scale of the first film. Simple plot with some twists that you've seen before, well-done action, and just having fun seeing the dynamic between Will and Martin again. What we got was a movie that exceeded whatever expectations anyone had. We got a good retcon, awesome fight scenes, very funny moments...what you got was the essence of Dragonball. Well its finally here...the highly anticipated trilogy ender of these new Disney era Star Wars films. Unlike previous trilogy, The Rise of Skywalker manages to be a very complete film that earns the ending that it achieves. Richard Jewell that dives deep into the story that came out of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic bombing regarding Richard himself. While the movie aims to tell a cautionary tale of how the media botched the coverage of Jewell, it makes two huge mistakes that brings down whatever message it aiming to tell. Queen and Slim isn't quite the Bonnie and Clyde film that the trailer makes it out to be. What you end up getting is a movie that ends up being about the tragedy of the characters and how they are a symbol for the circumstance that jumpstarts the plot of film. This ends up hindering the story in two instances. Past the story though, Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith carry this film through the characters on top of the excellent visuals and soundtrack. Your miles may vary but overall its an engaging watch and worth it for the most part. 3BG rating: 8 out of 10

Franchise Month- Much like the "Karen" haircut, some things are just gonna exist despite the world wanting it gone. Robocop 3 is that type of movie. Seriously outside of a few...a VERY VERY FEW amount of people no one likes this mess of a movie. I mean sure, it's funny to see Frank Miller-isms back in the 90s but nothing it great about this movie. You know lemme stop, Jill Hennessy and CCH Pounder...they were great. Frozen 2 is the type of movie sequel that you want as a followup to the ridiculously huge reception the first film got across the board. This sequel manages to further dive into Elsa and Anna's family background which further adds a wrinkle to something that we as the audience never knew. The characters, story, musical numbers, and animation is top to bottom just excellent. 21 Bridges is a movie that doesn't waste your time. It gets right to the point with its story and keeps you engaged from start to finish. While there are some plot points you'll see coming, there are other elements of the film that you won't see coming until it happens which your miles will vary depending on how many of these type of action/thriller films you've seen. Zero expectations going into this film mainly because the franchise was in a very wonky position. After a failed tv pilot revamp and 2 McG films that frankly haven't held up, clearly Elizabeth Banks was up to the task of reviving interest in the property and she succeeds. The movie ends up being enjoyable mainly because Banks keeps things simple and to the point top to bottom. While there are some legit plot twists, the overall film is standard fare you've seen before but it still works as a very cohesive movie due to the writing and the actresses involved. Ford Vs Ferrari is quite possibly one of the best dramatic racing movies you'll watch from beginning to end. This is a movie that shows top to bottom how Ford ended up righting the ship to be where they are today while showing it wasn't an easy road. Along the way, Matt Damon and Christian Bale do a great job of showing the friendship between Shelly and Ken Wilson through the whole process. Its a great watch and such a treat. Most definitely worth the watch. Another Robocop and OCP is STILL trying to take over the Motor City to build Delta City. Don't worry, that plot line will go somewhere I promise. This time Alex Murphy is trying to rid the streets of Nuke. A drug that is like crack...or coke...or meth. We don't know but it gives off a cool ASMR sound when you use it. The Shining is a classic and beloved film that shockingly enough, Stephen King wasn't a fan of so he ended up writing Dr. Sleep as a response. The film manages to follow the book while also keeping the things that made the original Shining such a great film. Overall this is worth the watch especially if you're a fan of the book. Midway is basically what the Michael Bay Pearl Harbor movie should've been in the first place. This is a film that is ultimately a cinematic documentary of the road leading to the Battle of Midway. While all the actors do a good job as these real life people that played a part in the battle, you don't really care about them so much as seeing these action sequences play out. The characters are really just there to push the story narrative. End of the day, the movie is worth a watch mainly for the engaging action. The last three Terminator films really did a number on the franchise in the worst way. They took the open ended nature of T2 and created multiple convoluted mess of stories that really didn't amount to much of anything. In comes Dark Fate which keeps things simple and to the point. We get Sarah Connor back, the Arnold T-800 is back, and we get a brand new set of characters ranging the new Rev-9 Terminator to the augmented human Grace who's sent to protect Dani. Great action set pieces, simple story, great special fx, and fun character interactions makes this a must watch. So CJ and Prime have talked about the Netflix Ultraman show BUT they go back to an Ultraman Show that reinvigorated the franchise much like how Kamen Rider Kuuga reinvigorated the Kamen Rider franchise. Tiga represents a series that ended up making a very lasting impression on the franchise to the point where the character has been in pretty much every Ultraman crossover and movie since the show ended. Waves is a film that hits you on every emotional spectrum mainly through the story its telling from the perspective of a brother and sister. Set in the backdrop of Florida, we follow this upper middle class black family that is seemingly fine on the surface but its through the trial and tribulations of Tyler that the movie sets off the course of events that shapes his and his family's life. This is definitely a solid film from start to finish. Beautiful cinematography, damn good acting, and an excellent musical score from Trent Reznor makes this a must watch when it officially drops on November 15, 2019. Sequels of movies 10 years after the fact always have an air of caution to them cause no matter how good they try to be, they always end up lacking somehow. Well Zombieland Double Tap ends up being a damn good followup to the first film following a simple rule: If ain't broke, don't fix it. The film basically does everything that first movie did but ups the ante. Maleficent Mistress of Evil is a very busy movie with lots of subplots. Some of them pay off and some of them go nowhere. Breaking Bad was a solid series from start to finish. Despite this, the finale of the series left it open for a followup specifically with Jesse. In comes El Camino which really does a good job of tying up loose ends with the character and also the people that he surrounded himself with. The Joker film is the definition of "Your miles will vary". On one hand, Joaquin Pheonix does an excellent job as Arthur Fleck as we see his decent into being the Joker. On the other hand, if you're a fan of the Joker character you may end up hating it just because the film only hits the surface level of what we know of him.
