Unlike Get Out, this is a film that will definitely need multiple viewings to really get everything out of it. For the longest time since late 90's/Early 2000's, James Cameron had been sitting on the project of doing an adaptation of the Yukito Kishiro property Battle Angel Alita. Constant stories and an Avatar movie later, we finally get his movie realized on the big screen and it ends up being a decent watch overall. The main thing about this film is that the visuals and action is what keeps your attention from beginning to end. Its not to say the acting is bad. Its okay and its really Christoph Waltz and Rosa Salazar that stand out with there respective characters especially Rosa's Alita. M. Night has been on a bit of a resurgence since The Visit and it is mainly due to him focusing more on the film than the specter of the twist that he puts in the film itself. Glass is the 3rd movie in the trilogy of Unbreakable and Split that continues what this series set outlined in having people with extraordinary abilities and what it means for the world they inhabit. With the Marvel Netflix shows drawing to a close on the platform, the Punisher Season 2 aims to go out on a high note, and boy does it do that. Season 1 caught folks off guard with how great it was, especially when giving Frank lots of character depth and not being just a mindless killer like we thought he'd be. Season 2 continues that and gives another great self-contained story that focuses on the aftermath of Season 1. Great action, great cast, and damn good story.
