Ep 115Seeing yourself

I was totally spellbound as I listened the wisdom and felt the incredible energy of the amazing Cliona Byrne. She wasn't always so confident and radiant as she is now. She used to stand in front of the mirror, suck in her tummy, and emotionally beat herself up for how she looked. Her bitchy inner critic (as she calls it) used to love to tell her that she needed to lose weight. She said, "I’ve since slapped the microphone out of that bitch’s hand."Cliona used to believe that her life would be 10x shinier, happier, and more fabulous once she hit her goal weight. Long story short, that didn’t work. She also had a crooked bite for the first 20 years of her life and had to wear a brace for 4 years in her late teens and twenties AND had her jaw broken and re-aligned. As you can imagine, her body confidence wasn’t anywhere near the bikini wearing level it is now. She used to hide from the camera and felt uncomfortable in her body at family gatherings. She was the person who wore black baggy clothes to hide herself and spent the whole time feeling fat.Over time Cliona started to see a confident woman looking back at her in the mirror, as she saw the real her. She started to actually like the way she looked! She began wearing whatever she wanted (that includes a bikini), She stopped being afraid of the camera, and finally felt that shiny happy feeling she thought she would feel once she lost weight and had the surgery to fix her jaw. It turns out that she didn’t need to change herself to get that feeling, she just had to change her relationship with herself. She has now become the coach for adults, parents and teens that she needed when she was a teen. This is a powerful and life-altering conversation, not to be missed. To find out more about Cliona, go to her website. Thanks to Pietro and the team at Fitii for sponsoring this podcast. Ep 113Slivers of recovery

The story of Leanne Spencer starts in March 2012. She was working for a market data company in the City of London; her career had spanned about 17 years but she was bored and unfulfilled, and self-medicating against increasing stress levels with alcohol (lots of it, daily). She felt like she was wasting her life, bouncing from pay day to pay day and living in an increasingly unsustainable way. Things came to a head one afternoon in March, as she was crossing over London Bridge having left a client meeting and had just received bad news about a deal she was expecting to hit my sales target. She was burned out, chronically abusing alcohol and several stone overweight. In addition to that, everything she was doing and saying lacked authenticity. It was time for a drastic change. On Monday morning she resigned. She was free, but unemployed and with very little in her savings account. It was a nervous time because she had no clear plan about what she was going to do next. She realised what she wanted to do was really at the intersection of two things: business and health, so that was the genesis of her company, Bodyshot. Since then, she has written three bestselling books, hosts two podcasts, has been written about in Entrepreneur Magazine and have spoken for companies such as Odeon Cinemas, DAZN, Britvic, Zurich Insurance, iTech Media, Bacardi, Thoughtworks, Moonbug Entertainment, Flywire and many more. Her personal values are to live truthfully, considerately and to "suck all the marrow out of life" to paraphrase the poet Thoreau. In this fabulous podcast we discuss the key aspects of living a life of joy, and totally aligned with identity, values and purpose. The key area we focus on is recovery and how to simply and easily incorporate slivers of recovery into even the most hectic of lifestyles. This truly is a wonderful conversation I know you will benefit from.To find out more about Leanne, go to her website. Thanks to Pietro and the team at Fitii for sponsoring this podcast. Ep 112Compassionate awareness

The first thing I noticed when I read Jonathan McLernon's profile was his mission to he marry the Science of Metabolism with the Psychology of Behavior Change and the Compassion of Human Connection to create life-changing transformations with his clients. Wow, that is a powerful statement and one I wanted to understand more fully. Jonathan calls himself an online nutrition and fitness coach, but I discovered very quickly that he is way more than that. The fact he ballooned to well over 100lbs (45kg) overweight was an emotional and fear based response to a couple of pretty traumatic experiences. To be attacked by a group of four men who tried to beat him to death in Africa is a hard event to easily overcome. as is losing everything in a failed business venture. His binge eating to cover up his own self-loathing got him to the point he knew he needed to reach out and ask for help.It was the compassion that was shown to him by his coach, and what he leaned about self-worth, that helped him to, day-by-day and one step at a time, transform his life. He now spends his life, with compassionate awareness, helping other people enjoy the lives they were destined to live. He is a humble and inspiring man, and this truly is a conversation that everyone needs to hear.To find out more about Jonathan, go to his website. Ep 111Choose you

The first thing you will notice about Rhianne Miller, as soon as she starts speaking, is that she is totally down-to-earth and passionate about loving her life. The first statement she made that grabbed my attention was that her goal is to live a life that she doesn't need a holiday from. That is the life she has created for herself, so if that isn't a reason to listen to find out how she did that, I don't know what is.Just a few years ago, Rhianne's life was travelling along beautifully. She was happy, seemingly healthy, had a great job and was loving her life. Soon after her 32nd birthday a breast cancer diagnosis rocked her world. She was expecting a great year, but was she ended up with was a journey that has totally transformed her life. After all the treatment, a mastectomy and a failed reconstruction, she decided that she would just live with one breast, and love herself anyway. She has publicly and unashamedly honored herself and her body as a message to all people that they are beautiful, just the way they are.Rhianne is using her challenge and journey as a way to help other people experiencing adversity in their lives. She is currently developing an online wellness hub called Rhivive, as a one-stop shop where she is bringing together wellness businesses to nurture people through difficult times. She is now choosing herself and encourages people everywhere to choose themselves. She is an enthusiastic and passionate beacon of light and hope for every single person, and this truly is a conversation that everyone needs to hear.To follow Rhianne and Rhivive, go to her instagram page. Thanks to Pietro and the team at Fitii for sponsoring this podcast. Just as Todd Patkin should have been at the highest of highs, he spiralled into a breakdown, which left him depressed and suicidal. Ep 107Success is an inside job

Michael Alcée grew up seeing therapy and thriving go hand in hand. As a social worker, his mother had an office on the side of their house, and he would often pass clients on their way out as he was riding his bike down the street. They looked so much lighter than when they came in. Intrigued by the magic happening inside, he wanted to learn how to create and be a part of that magic, too.It wasn’t uncommon for his piano practice to sneak in past the soundproofing of my mother’s office. Surprisingly enough, many clients told her how much they enjoyed the playing, lamenting it when it wasn’t there, and even requesting it when it was quiet. From this, Michael learned the importance of how much we all seek to have the arts in our lives – and what a difference that truly makes. As somebody who’s always appreciated music, literature, and the arts, he loves to bring it all together in his work as a therapist and to be part of the magic that therapy truly brings.Michael, now a PhD in clinical psychology, a psychotherapist, a mental health educator and an author, his passion is to help his clients feel the freedom on the inside so they can create the life they want on the outside. With a unique perspective on emotional regulation and the power of the artistic creativity we all possess, Michael is having a profound effect on many lives. Ep 105Play a bigger game

Kate Strong and I, from different ends of the world, spoke as guests on each others podcasts. To be honest, talking to Kate, I felt, and still feel, that I need to play a bigger game. As she shared her story with me, and then told me how she had given up all her revenue streams to focus on building a bike out of bamboo in preparation to ride 5000km around the UK to create awareness of climate change, I knew this was a special lady and it was going to be an incredible conversation. I wasn't wrong.Kate has incredible diversity in her background: engineer, athlete, coach, speaker, adventurer and advocate. She spoke about her transition from business owner, living in poverty, yet with so much richness, as she described it, to world champion tri-athlete in just two years, which is an incredible story in itself. Then to find her mission and passion for advocating for action against climate change and building sustainability, which has got her doing things that many would not believe possible. She is most certainly living a bigger game than many.Kate is currently operating and thriving on faith that things will fall into place, and there are. She is focussed on her own identity and making sure it is one that she cannot lose in the journey of life. She is most definitely living and inspiring others to live a life outside their comfort zone and is reaping the rewards of joy, passion, purpose, meaning, significance and self-worth as a result. She is inspiring people all around the world to play a bigger game. Ep 104Choose life

I have to admit, I sat spellbound for the vast majority of this podcast as Charlene Madden told her story. I need to just warn you, as a potential listener, this podcast and what Charlene has experienced in her life is confronting and may be triggering for some people. But let me tell you, it will also be very inspiring, healing and hope-giving as Charlene, despite decades of abuse, addiction, mental health challenges and suicidal intent is now living a life full of passion and purpose inspiring people all around the world. When she spoke at her first event after choosing to live and help other people, and told her story, she explained to the audience her mission was to save just one life. Well, that mission was achieved when, as she was walking off stage she was approached by a lady who said: You said your mission was to save one life, well, you did it! The lady then simply turned and walked away. This is testament to the power of the story you are about to listen to.Abandoned as a small child by her parents, sexually abused by her grandfather for 9 years from the age of 3 is not the beginning to life you would wish on anyone! It's not hard to understand why addiction, self-harm, zero-self worth and suicidal thoughts followed for Charlene and haunted her for many decades. How she is still here and now doing what she is doing, with an unconditional love for herself, came through divine intervention, for sure. She is inspiring people all around the world to choose life. Ep 100Time to reflect

I am incredibly excited to have reached episode number 100! When I started this podcast, I had no idea what I was doing, but, as I have done with many things, I just started one step at a time, one podcast per week and I simply kept going. To be honest, my first podcast was a little embarrassing, but with each week that came and each guest I had, the more I realised that this podcast is not about me. Instead, it's about the inspiration I can glean from amazing guests, and the impact it can have on the people who listen. This is why I love it so much. There are times in all of our lives when reflecting on and celebrating what you have achieved is a necessity. If you don't, what's the point of doing anything. This podcast is a about reflecting. Reflecting on what has changed in the world over the last two years, reflecting on how I have changed in the last two years and reflecting on the amazing guests I have spoken to over the last two years. As you listen to this podcast, I hope it inspires you to go back and listen or re-listen to one or more of the first 100 episodes. I know there is something in one or more of these podcasts you actually need to hear, and will absolutely impact your life, right now. Ep 98The third dimension

Several years before his AFL career really took off Shaun Hart experienced a severe mental health challenge. His focus was on his fitness, his performance and his work ethic to the point of exhaustion, physically mentally and emotionally. It got to the point he didn't even want to get out of bed, and if it wasn't for his wife and the club chaplain, he would have given up. Instead, he went on to play 273 games, including three successful premierships in a row with the Lions, and winning the coveted Norm Smith medal in 2001, for best player in the Grand Final. What changed for Shaun, and in fact the whole team, was the shift in focus from performance based identity to identity based performance. Knowing that he was a valuable person, then player, irrespective of his on field performance made all the difference to his game, and was the reason for the club amazing success. Since then, Shaun has gone on to coach sporting teams, businesses and individuals with this same emphasis.Shaun talks in detail about the third dimension of the human experience, one that many ignore, and highlights why it is the most important. The first dimension is physical, the second mental and the third spiritual. With a focus on the six elements of the third dimension: identity, purpose, significance, value, character and self-worth, anything is possible. Ep 96Going the distance

Tammy Van Wisse is one of the most amazing people you will ever listen to. Having swam over 65000 km's as a world record breaking ocean marathon swimmer, she knows what it takes to go the distance. When I was a personal trainer, she was a client of mine, and I can remember the day, almost twenty years ago, when she came in to train with me at 9am in the morning, after just swimming 20km in the open water. When I said to her, "That is amazing Tammy". Her response was, "Not really, it's just what I do". John Toomey is one of Australia’s most sought-after speakers on a variety of Human Wellbeing subjects. He is widely respected right across the world for his Speaking, his Writing and his guidance on Workplace Wellness and Leadership issues. Originally from the Central Darling Downs in Queensland, John now lives in Melbourne, Australia. He speaks with incredible presence and connection and a deep passion for the betterment of life for all living things.John and I go back many decades to the St Kilda Football Club in the early 1980's where I was an aspiring young footballer, striving to make it at the highest level, and John was a conditioning coach, just out of Uni. Wow, has he gone on to do great things since then. He spent a lot of time learning from the best, and curiously and creatively finding ways to help people live happy and healthy lives. His focus on fatigue prevention, resilience and mental health has taken him all around the world to impact many lives. When I asked John, with his wealth of experience and abundant knowledge in the wellbeing space, what he considered most important, what he said surprised and delighted me. Ep 94New years restitution

Craig Harper and I go back many decades and he is a great friend and former business partner of mine. He is a powerful speaker, prolific author, popular radio presenter and host of globally acclaimed the 'You Project' podcast. We are back together in this podcast with a mission to help you do things differently in 2022. We re-coined the well-worn, over-used and less-than-effective phrase 'News Years Resolution', to the new-and-improved 'New Years Restitution'.The definition of restitution is: The act of restoring to the rightful owner something that has been taken away, lost, or surrendered. We have all had things taken away, lost or surrendered and then we try to compensate by striving, pushing and fighting for external achievement in the hope that it will help us feel better about ourselves. Well, that's me anyway! For me, being a professional athlete, having an athletic body, being and author or the other things I achieved never worked to help me feel worthy. That is why I needed restitution. My feeling is that many people feel the same.Craig shares his incredible insights into building the inner person, through focussing on values, identity and the things that bring joy. Life is to be lived and loved, and when we remove the rubbish that society expects of us and follow our own path, then loving life becomes a very real option. It is my greatest desire that you will immerse yourself into this conversation with Craig Harper and get all the wisdom that he has to share.Craig can be found on his website and InstagramThanks to Pietro and the team at Fitii for sponsoring this podcast. Ep 93Your transformational why

Because of his very analytical right-brain thinking, Matheo Galatis was formally trained as a Chartered Accountant with experience in mining, banking, retail and distribution. However, what his educational advice failed to take into account was that this career was not his passion, not did it energise or excite him. Consequently, Matheo spent an immense amount of time learning and studying various disciplines of healing and human potential. He has immersed himself in diverse personal development programs some of which he now facilitates. He has personally trained over 200 consciousness coaches, has mentored over 40 coaches and has also trained and examined high performance transformational trainers and teams internationally. He has lead group transformational training programs for over 3000 participants in public courses, organisational trainings and retreats since 2012. Matheo is also a coach examiner and coach supervisor. He has worked with clients from 27 different countries, ranging from successful CEO’s, political and public personalities, executives, coaches, trainers, therapists and entrepreneurs. What blew me away in this conversation Matheo was his perspective around self-worth and living a true and authentic life. When the truth is revealed, Matheo believes real communication and transformation can occur. He is currently writing a book on how to increase self-worth and transform feelings of unworthiness, and believes when we resolve our past, we allow ourselves to pursue our true potential. Matheo is taking the personal development industry to a whole new level by supporting people to find what he calls ‘your transformational why’ – the one thing that usually prevents them from getting unstuck and achieving their life ambitions. Ep 92Backbone and heart

Steve Pinner describes himself as a run-of-the-mill bloke who loves his family, loves his mates and loves his sport. He is passionate about helping men to be the best they can be and be positive role models in the life of the women, children and other men in their lives. He is well aware that there is a challenging stage for men between 35 and 55 years of age, as they transition into their older adult years, that men can find themselves lost and asking, what is it all about? In late 2014 he lost a job he loved. Made redundant out of the blue. With his 41st birthday only weeks away and with a young family to provide for, he found myself in a bit of a pickle. To complicate things, he was also struggling a bit in a number of areas of his life. In effect, he was putting up a brave front while battling away behind closed doors. He was not depressed, but he was down at times and often sleepless with worry. He realised this is not an uncommon feeling for men, and became passionate about finding a way to help men re-engage with their lives. The research that he undertook was eye opening and life changing. It was changing his life and he knew that it would do the same to the men of his generation. He talks about a rite-of-passage that all boys need to go through to become healthy men and have a positive influence on many other members of their community. He offers some wonderful strategies for men to help them transition with ease and purpose into the many different phases of their lives. Ep 91Tis the season to be healthy

I am blessed to have known Perry Venakis for well over 20 years, so far. When we met, he was just starting his personal training journey after a very interesting background as a mechanic, a farmer and then with a passion to help people with their health and well being. His journey led him to an intense interest in the role that nutrition played in body building, but also how it impacted every person and in every area of life. Perry works with many people to help them live optimal lives through eating simply, naturally and nutritionally to help them get results that seem to very complex. This interest led him, at the age of 55, to study a Masters degree in nutrition and then go on to start the Australia Academy of Raw Nutrition. In this podcast we discuss a very topical and relevant subject: surviving the silly season and making it a season to be healthy. There are many temptations and challenges to looking after ourselves at this time of the years. Unfortunately, many people, in just a couple of weeks, will do significant damage to their bodies without even realising it, with the attitude of over-indulgence at this time of the year. It doesn't have to be that way, and you can still indulge, enjoy and stay lean, healthy and energised at this time of the year.Perry and I chat about some simple but powerful strategies that will transform your eating habits and your life, at this treacherous time of the year, if you take them on board and take action. It is my greatest desire that you will take positive action and truly make it a season to be healthy. Perry is a knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining man who I loved talking to. I know you will get a lot from this podcast, so please enjoy.Find out more about Perry on his Instagram page and/or email him at [email protected] to Pietro and the team at Fitii for sponsoring this podcast. Ep 90Optimise your life

Helen Mac has been inspiring and empowering people for many decades. She is the author of two books, has contributed to another four, is a professional speaker, empowering trainer and passionate coach. Her message is strong and clear and it is that optimism is where we need to be, if living our best life is the goal. She explained to me the difference between optimism and positive thinking, and it was very powerful.Helen's resolve and message of optimism was severely tested when her husband of 30 years, Lachlan, became very ill and passed away only four years ago. As she was describing this heartbreaking journey, she also inspired me with the passion and love she and Lachlan had for each other. I was spellbound as she explained how they went about making sure Lachlan left as he chose to go and Helen lived her life after he had gone. I discovered one thing for sure: optimism is not just what Helen talks about, it is how she lives her life. Helen's process for an optimising life is simple and empowering, and I know it will impact every single person who listens and acts of her four step process. She has transformed her life, her business and is now re-married and blissfully happy. Ep 88The bright red boot

Jan Cocks-Salvemini was born into a beautiful family with parents who encouraged her to dream big and fight for her dreams. That was certainly a profound strength when, at the age of 10-months, she became para-abled for life after being bitten by a diseased mosquito. She now has limited use of the right side of her body, wears a big bright red boot to get around, and is blissfully happy in her life.Jan is on a mission to change the word 'disabled' to 'para-abled', as she believes 'disabled' is a negative word that somehow indicates these people are less than able-bodied people. This is a lady with plans to take her voice to the United Nations and World Health Organisation to state her case. So, as you can see, she is still dreaming big and believing for a global change in attitude towards the one billion people in the world who currently have a para-ability.She is such an energised and engaging communicator who is passionate about her cause. She had me when she told me the story of walking through a shopping center wearing the bright red boot she needed to keep her ankle from collapsing. You will love the story as I did. Ep 87T.E.A.R.S. of Joy

I have an incredible passion, in fact mission and purpose, to create a wave of wellness all around the world and help people live their best lives. My guest host Deborah Stathis has a very similar purpose. As I launch my latest book 'TEARS of Joy', I am truly excited about and expecting that this book will impact the hearts and minds of everyone who reads it. I want people to experience tears of joy in their lives over and over again. I want people to understand there is a predictable process to make that happen. That is what the book and this podcast is all about.Everything we have and will have, experience and will experience in our lives are the end product of the unconscious routines we create. Those routines if deliberately created, will produce tears of joy, trust me. It all starts with a deliberate focus of our thoughts, which leads us to experience an empowering emotion, which by definition moves us into spontaneous action. With determination and the right strategies we can all develop the routines that will lead us to abundant and joyful success in life. That is what the book and this podcast is all about.Deb does an amazing job hosting this podcast, and she is an inspiring example of this TEARS of joy process. You will love the conversation. You will be inspired by the stories. You will be empowered to create permanent positive change in your life. You will be ready to get started as soon as the podcast is over. Ep 86Empowering teen voice

Kelly Murphy, Jarred Kellerman and I got together with one goal in mind. That is to help teenagers believe more in themselves, find more confidence in the strengths they have and feel empowered to speak up and feel heard. You may have heard that it takes a community to raise a healthy young person, but actually, it takes a healthy and aware community to raise healthy young people. This is why we started YACC, Youth Advocates of Community Change. To help young people, parents, educators and community leaders come together, get on the same page and build a healthy and aware community.Kelly Murphy after dealing with trauma and homelessness as a young person is a personal counselor who works with many troubled your people at the Australian Center of Trauma and Wellness. Jarred Kellerman, also with challenges as a disengaged young person, is now on a mission to help build resilience in adolescent youth & improve confidence in joining the "real world". These are two wonderful people who I respect totally and love working with. This is a powerful conversation about how we can help empower the amazing potential that lies within every young person. Regardless of whether you are a teenager, were a teenager, have a teenager, educate teenagers or having any contact with or influence over a teenager, this conversation will have something that will make a difference, not just in the lives of young people, but in your own life as well. Ep 85Life is not a competition

I first met Susan Meaney when she was senior leader, amazing athlete and Australian player with the Melbourne Phoenix Netball Club. Myself and my good friend Craig Harper had the privilege of doing the strength and conditioning work for the team for several years. She was a super-focussed and incredibly disciplined athlete who made the most of her time as a player, going on to play close to 250 games at the highest level, including 9 for her country. Susan was way more than an incredible athlete. She was a great leader of people and did so by example and by encouraging (and entertaining) her team mates. When her first son came along, she decided to leave the sport as a player and focus on being the best mother she could be. Now with four children, Meaners (as I call her), has been able to find and love her new life as a mother, but also as an influencer in sport and with the younger generation coming through. How she transitioned from elite sport to amazing mum, is a wonderful story all parents, sports people and, in fact, everyone, needs to hear. The comment that resonated with me the most was when Meaners said, 'life is not a competition', and that comparison with others will never lead to happiness. She suggested we stay in our own lane, which I love. Susan is focused on her own wellbeing, her family and making a difference in the lives of people she comes into contact with. On his website, Dr. Jacques Mitchell states that he is on an assignment to bring encouragement, motivation and life changing tools into lives across the globe. He is doing it in a big way. He has more than a decade of public speaking and leadership experience, both in the secular world as well as the church environment. He is an accomplished self published author of seven books, including; Effectively Conquering Your Day, 30 Days of Power, Growing To The Next Level, What God Is Like, Winning Quotes for Living, Secrets To Writing Your First Book, & Breaking Through & Burnout.During this conversation Jacques announced some exciting news, which you will have to listen to if you want to know what it is. One of the most exciting things for me, is that my first association with Dr Jacques was when he purchased my 'One Word at a Time' online program to write his first book, almost ten years ago. Look at him now. He is a man with passion, purpose and a powerful vision to impact many lives. In this podcast we focus on vision. It is the non-negotiable starting point of any meaningful achievement. Jacques discusses how to get it, how to keep it and how to make it reality. We also discuss overcoming the greatest enemy there is... doubt and discouragement. In a logical thinking world, we would subscribe to the theory that unless you can see something in reality, you can't believe it. Ep 79It's never too late to have a happy childhood

The very last thing Yair Kellner said after this captivating conversation, and talking about more than 60 years of adventure, outdoors, camping, hiking, paddle-boarding, canoeing, climbing and bike-packing was this; It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Now in his mid-sixties, Yair is still loving his childhood, and all the adventures that go with it.From the age of five he has had a passion for the great outdoors, the beauty of nature, and learning to adapt in environments much different to the one most of us are used to. The lessons he has picked up along the way are not just about how to survive when you fall through the ice in 30-50 degree below temperatures with an 80kg fully-laden bike. He has learned about perspective, humility, peace, mindfulness, determination and understanding the rules that each situation requires. How he survived in Alaska, when all the odds were stacked against him, is a story you don't want to miss. I mean, when taking all your clothes off after getting out of the below zero river to avoid them encasing you in the 30 degree below outside air is your best option for survival, you know things are bad. Ep 77Healing through feeling

Up until the age of 12, Matthew Caruana had lived a very typical life for a child in the city of Sydney. He had a great family, lots of friends and a comforting neighborhood, BUT everything was about to change drastically! He constantly questioned his self worth, self image and whether he even brought any value to the world? He often wondered if people would even care if he was alive or not? This caused major depression within himself and after years of dwelling on these questions, he felt even more worthless and struggled to see a reason to go on. He could’ve sworn he was the only one at the time feeling these emotions and having these thoughts, so he bottled them up and kept them all within. These thoughts sent him down a path of destruction with drug abuse, depression, anxiety and ultimately on the 9th of January 2016, at only 16 years of age, he decided enough was enough and it was time to end his suffering. He made the final decision that it was time to end his life. Suicide seemed like his only option. He thought it would be his final moment, but woke up in hospital, two weeks later, with a Spinal Cord Injury and a level of sadness and depression, now enhanced by the fact that he couldn’t even do suicide right. He had to quickly adapt to new changes in his life. After a chance encounter with an inspiring stranger, he discovered the value in connection and relationships, and began to open up to others. With that, all meaningful relationships grew closer in his life and things started to progressively get better for him! Most importantly, he began to feel acceptance. He started to believe he could help people and so began sharing his story. As he did, all thoughts and feelings of Depression, Anxiety and Suicide magically disappeared. The questions about self worth and self image were soon replaced with a sense of purpose and a reason to live. He had found his calling and realised he could help others to find theirs. His message is powerful. His message is that when we feel, we will heal, and when share, we see how much people care. Ep 75See the solution

Jamie Ryder was gifted with the (dis) ability of dyslexia. This reduced his ability in reading and spelling, and it super charged his ability to see patterns. He sees through problems, tragedy & negativity and clearly see an opportunity, solution & possibility. Having this (dis) ability is hugely powerful, however, learning it for him has been a wild ride. For Jamie, winning was everything, as a cowboy, a financial planner, a businessman and entrepreneur. His opponent wasn’t his enemy, he had become his own enemy. At his core he felt 2nd place was the first loser. He saw loss as him being a loser, he saw failure as worse than loss and had created his own false reality that loss & failure would define him as such. How wrong he was. He found himself through tragedy, won through loss and succeeded though failure. He gained perception, value, depth, meaning, experience, character and humility. And through this he found his purpose.Since that time, Jamie has clocked up almost 250,000 connections on TikTok, is an empowering mindset coach and is an engaging and inspiring speaker. Finding gratitude when adversity hits is one of his specialties, and as a result of his dyslexia, being able to see solutions enables him to help many people. If you want to overcome challenges and trauma in your life, and create abundance, then this is a conversation you must hear.Find out more about Jamie here.Take advantage of his FREE 45-min discovery session here. Ep 74Overcome overwhelm and burnout

In 2011, Geneviève Pépin got her dream job. She thought to herself, ”Starting today, I am waking up knowing that I am working toward saving the world." She gave it everything she got. A year later, she resigned. She was crying in the shower, developed an eating disorder, and didn’t want to get out of bed anymore. Enough! She was lucky to be offered another dream job opportunity right after. New job, new life! She had a supportive boss, was working with awesome people, and loved her job. She worked hard and climbed the ladder and was on top of the world. In 2014, things started going south, again. Her anxiety levels were off the charts, she often worked until midnight, her eating disorder was getting stronger, and she found myself crying, alone in my city-center apartment more often than not. Within 60 days she had moved to a different continent – and as soon as she got her work visa, was offered a great management job opportunity. This was late 2015. New country, new language, new colleagues, new job, new life! She was determined to succeed. In 2017, her stress levels were higher than ever, her eating disorder was replaced by other self-harming behaviors, she didn’t care about her job anymore and was coming home crying. She quit. She then got into entrepreneurship and was determined to create the real change she wanted to see in the world. New boss (her), new industry, new lifestyle, new life! She was glued to her computer and gave it everything I got, and you guessed it, after the honeymoon phase passed, her health and happiness started going south. Again. Then things finally changed for Geneviève as she finally realised the one thing in common with each period of burnout, was her and her mindset. She then went about to change her life, and in the process is changing lives all around the world. If you want to overcome overwhelm and burnout and banish the word 'busy' then this is a conversation you must hear.Find out more about Geneviève here.Take advantage of her FREE 30-min gift here. Ep 73Pure perpetual positivity

In 1995, Jackie Simmons was blindsided by her 14-year-old daughter’s suicide attempt after a day of clothes shopping went awry. This took Jackie down a path which led to depression, addiction, medical mysteries, and deadly silences. The journey into the world of mental health services and cultural taboos left Jackie feeling lost and alone. Although she declared to the outside world that she was fine, Jackie hid her deep, psychic wounds behind a façade of frantic entrepreneurial activity. Then on August 3, 2019, Jackie’s now 37-year-old daughter, broke the silence. Jackie calls August 3, the day her “purpose tapped her on the shoulder.” From that moment, with her daughters, Jackie's mission became to prevent teen suicide. Together they created “The Talk to Stop Teen Suicide,” a script to build emotional resiliency inside families and beyond. Jackie calls the strategy a way to create pure prevention, but trust me it is way more than that. It is absolutely a way to move people towards pure perpetual positivity. Now a TEDx speaker, Radio Show Host, International Best-selling Author, Mindset Magician, co-founder and Director of the Teen Suicide Prevention Society, Jackie is focussed on her mission to “Stop Teen Suicide.” This conversation is real, raw and powerful and you will be inspired to become part of this movement to, not just save so many valuable lives, but help lead them to purpose, passion and perpetual positivity. Ep 69Flip your journey to freedom

In 2018 Bruce Molloy could not have found himself at a darker place in life. Ironically, just a few months before losing his job, his relationship and his home, he had purchased a camper van to go on some travels with his then partner. As he contemplated his situation, and with some very dark thoughts, he spotted a twenty cent coin wedged between the windscreen and the dashboard of his camper van. He picked it up and, with nothing else to lose, decided to flip the coin to direct his next move. That simple and single flip of the coin, started Bruce on a wonderful journey of travel, experiences, enlightenment and freedom, that he still enjoys to this day. It took him around Australia and over to Bali. It helped him face and overcome many fears. It was the reason why he wrote his book in just 10 days. It was what brought him back to Australia where he started his business Black Dog Green. I was mesmerised as I listened to Bruce talk about this incredible journey. As soon as it was over, I flipped a coin to work out what I would have for dinner that night, and I ended up cooking something that I had not previously considered, It was yummy. Ep 68With simplicity there is so much complexity

I am blessed to have known Perry Venakis for well over 20 years, so far. When we met, he was just starting his personal training journey after a very interesting background as a mechanic, a farmer and then with a passion to help people with their health and well being. He turned his knowledge and experience to help body builders get positive results in a much more healthy and natural way, and had great success with many people he worked with. His journey led him to an intense interest in the role that nutrition played in body building, but also how it impacted every person and in every area of life. Perry works with many people to help them live optimal lives through eating simply, naturally and nutritionally to help them get results that seem to very complex. This interest led him, at the age of 55, to study a Masters degree in nutrition and then go on to start the Australia Academy of Raw Nutrition.Perry and I chat about some simple but powerful concepts that will transform your eating habits and your life, if you take them on board and take action. He is a knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining man who I loved talking to. I know you will get a lot from this podcast, so please enjoy.Find out more about Perry on his Instagram page and/or email him at [email protected] to Pietro and the team at Fitii for sponsoring this podcast.
