But what's the point if you can't hold on to it or if you are still are stressed, worried and have fear around money? It's not about just making more money - it’s about resetting your Financial Thermostat. In this conversation Pericles and I discuss his journey, the limiting beliefs we have about money that stop the flow of it to us, how to resent our financial thermostat to open the floodgates of abundance into our lives. Ep 259Power to change
Jason Blyth's home, full of violence and volatility, caused an atmosphere whereby he was petrified as a child. The result meant he spent much of his childhood living with his grandparents and many years of countless visitations to psychiatrists. His first visit at just 33 months old. He left “home” a broken youth. Physically and emotionally abused, a life full of trauma, he spent the next fifteen years searching for a connection, a place in the world and a place he could feel a sense of worth. Sadly, this only resulted in more destruction in his life, and those he associated with. Nonetheless, in those early years he had a small light that shone and he became a world class inline speed skater. He won multiple national championships, representing New Zealand on the international stage for a period of six years. As a gifted athlete, Jason played soccer in New Zealand’s National Youth League, as well as winning many swimming titles, triathlons, and the list goes on. This provided an outlet for survival as he continued to battle with the scars of his childhood. Sport taught him discipline, which Jason attributes to becoming necessary for his survival. He left home at fifteen, and by sixteen, he had dropped out of school. Jason quickly entered a life of depression, full of anxiety and anger. He would give up on his skating at seventeen years, and instead indulged in drinking and partying to excess. It wouldn’t be long before Jason began building a career in music, which eventually would lead him to travel to Hollywood, to record music with world class producers. Desperate to please, succeed and belong, he found himself engulfed in a world of darkness that he had never experienced before. He found himself mixing in the occult, where he was following some of the most prominent leaders in the time. It almost cost him everything, including his life. By 2018, Jason’s life had completely collapsed, he had actually gone from bad to worse. Having lost all hope, he checked himself into a psychiatric ward and then celebrated his 30th birthday in rehab. During this time, Jason began to read an instruction book on life and how best to deal with its challenges. He had plenty, so it needed to be a good book… it needed to hold good news for this young man. He began to read the bible. From there everything (and we mean everything) changed.Jason is now unrecognisable as a person, compared to his former life. Through God’s amazing grace, Jason has overcome the destructive habits, and behaviours that had him chained to a position devoid of hope and life.Jason is now focused on sharing his life story to give hope to those who are struggling. Showing through his experience, not just theory, that people can have hope. Showing that they can change and can lead fulfilling lives in this very challenging world. To find out more about Jason, Click HereMy website is www.andrewjobling.com.au

He lost his job, his home and his partner, and he spiralled.Forced to move back into his parents house (now a tiny home on their property), he started drinking as a way to cope with feeling like a failure. On Boxing day 2021, he had my last drink but still had a cocaine problem that he had acquired through the party & pleasure seeking life. He overcame that about 1 year later after having what he was told was a "psychosis" episode. He didn't use any outside help to get clean, no programs, no mentors, nothing but Gym, non negotiable tasks & focusing internally on being his best version daily. His obsession with internal & external upgrades has brought him into being able help others wanting to be better individuals and change their lives through changing themselves. This is a powerful conversation with Nathan, only 27 years of age, about the choice we get to make every day. Having lived with lower levels of energy for a few years as she moved through my early 50's, Adrienne's life took a downward spiral that did not look pretty. She was no longer in control of her life. In fact, her life controlled her. Scared of what life would look-like 1-5-10 years ahead (if she did not make some drastic changes), she chose instead to live life on my terms. As a result, she lost the 25 lbs she'd gained over the previous year & half, rebuilt her physical, mental, emotional & spiritual energy banks and reclaimed her youthful VITALITY. She started to become aware of a few colleagues and friends complaining and suffering with their own varying degrees of chronic fatigue and how it was affecting the afternoon production. She knew what they were going through and it broke her heart. Adrienne decided, if she could re-build then reclaim my energetic vitality, maybe she could help others do the same. As a result of this decision, she created the 'Energy Edge: Unlock Your Energy Potential' coaching program. She works with corporate professionals, small business owners and those (like her) with a foot in both worlds. Benjamin Smith's interest in health started at a young age. He remembers asking my dad who is a dermatologist, all kinds of abstract and philosophical questions. Why is the sky blue? Or why does the sun cause skin issues? He was fascinated with wanting to know why.In his early 20s, he thought about pursuing a career in the medical field, specifically a naturopath. Life changed course on him and he got into the automotive detailing industry, owning his own company for the last 30 years. All this time he was still interested in health and how the human body worked, but it was more of a leisurely pursuit. He read a few articles and watched a few videos here and there. It wasn’t until 2012 when he became more or less obsessed with why people get chronic disease. That year his sister died of cancer and he thought to himself, “does the body want to kill itself?” It didn’t make sense. In 2014 he started to really dive “deep into the woods” and started to learn some amazing things about water, nose breathing and other things that could lead to optimal wellbeing. He started to voraciously read everything I could get my hands on about health.Fast forward to 2019 and he was realizing he needed to share this information with people around him and with his loved ones. He thought, “I can become a health coach!” This way he can share his information and help people get well. He signed up for The Primal Health Coach Institute after much research as they were in line with his values. After getting his certificate, he realised he wanted to help people through teaching and lecturing.A friend suggested “Why don’t you write a book?“ He thought this would be perfect. He could get his message out there for people who wanted to listen. Over the past four years, he has been researching and working on this book and it has finally come to fruition. This “model” that he created and developed is a decade of research and reviewing hundreds of articles as well as talking and learning from experts in their respective fields. It is Benjamin's mission to help as many people as possible to help them live the life of health and abundance they were put on this planet to enjoy. Ep 235Steps along the way
Jonathan Marion grew up in a dysfunctional home, surrounded by emotional and physical abuse, and never fully feeling like he belonged anywhere. He grew up around conflicting views around religion and physical and mental health struggles, including suicide. Attending a private religious day school (while a privilege compared to the lives of many) did not provide comfort for the sensitive, insecure little boy, with a broken heart. Educational/ academic accomplishments were highly stressed in his culture, and especially in private school, everyone had to fit the mold. There was no personal assessment plan: there was “the way,” and if you didn’t fit it, you didn’t stay. And he didn’t fit.He kept going through the motions for decades, finishing his MA, finishing his PhD, publishing his first academic book, being elected to professional boards, starting to teach university classes, being named outstanding lecturer at his university, being elected President of a professional association, getting hired into a tenure track position, writing his second book, winning more teaching commendations, being elected President of a second professional association, publishing his third book, getting tenure, publishing my fourth book, etc.He realized none of his measurable, externally-facing accomplishments mattered. That the most meaningful relationships in his life were with people who didn’t care how good he was at “jumping through hoops.” He now lives how he wants to be, aware of considerations, but not allowing them to drive his choices. He is able to identify what really matters, knowing that everything that happens is just part of a story. He jumps through far fewer hoops, and when he does, he doesn’t attach a sense of identity or self-worth to them. Jonathan is now loving the steps along the way. If you are ready to live your best life, and are looking for some simple things you can do to help you on this journey, then this is a the podcast for you.
