Large numbers of White people who live thousands of miles from Maryland have chided Mayor Scott's wardrobe and blamed he and Governor Wes Moore, who's also a privileged black male, for promoting "diversity" over the safety of Maryland's citizens. Days before "Earth Day" is celebrated later this month, Johannesburg South Africa endures water shortages, that always disproportionately impacts black residents. The C.O.W.S. hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism 04/05/24 California christened April Fool’s Day 2024 by boosting wages for fast food workers - which, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom, is composed of 80% non-white workers. Some workers experienced this wage boost with a simultaneous reduction in hours, or in some instances, layoffs. Across the continent in the Washington D.C., minimum wages will rise for tip-earning workers. Once again, this low-skill, low-wage employee group is disproportionately non-white. On the opposite side the planet in France, legislation to prohibit the Racist abuse of black hairstyles in the workplace is being considered by the senate. Lots of this new fangled legislation - often using the verbiage “crown act” - has been passed in many US jurisdictions over the past half decade. This infamous mass murder has countless parallels to our recent literary selections - Columbine, Michael Swango, and The Hart murder-suicide. The Rev. Jim Jones, a White man born in Indiana, took a thousand people from California to Guyana, South America. On November 18th, 1978, Jones killed nearly all 1,000 of his mostly black followers and orchestrated the assassination of Congressman Leo Ryan. Some were shot, but most were poisoned with cyanide, just like "Double-0 Swango." For nearly half a century, this event has been conventionally understood as a bunch of brainwashed black loons following a White charlatan to their demise in the jungle. Meiers' work suggests something far more nefarious. Last week, we learned about the big move to Ukiah, California for Rev. Jones and the Peoples Temple. The reverend recruited black children from the Oakland slums - which could have included little Bobby Hutton of the Black Panther Party. Rev. Jones and his White staff brandished fire arms and employed German shepherds to dominate the black people at the Ukiah "concentration camp." Meiers says part of the brainwashing included White staff pilfering books from their black captives, all the while, subsidizing the outfit by confiscating the member's social security checks and other valuables. Jones even looted the US Department of Agriculture's supplies of powdered milk and other food stuffs to externalize costs of the experiment. Gossett starred in substantial projects like the 1977 Roots miniseries and An Officer & A Gentlemen (1982). The Victim of White Supremacy and legendary entertainer was tied to a tree on his introduction to California and acknowledged that "subliminal Racism" gnawed at him throughout his life. Disaster struck in Baltimore, Maryland this week after a cargo ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland. 6 workers died in the crash, and they may all be classified as non-white. Key is a slave owning White man who celebrated the torture and shackling of black people - probably why the bridge honors his name to this day. The Los Angeles Times reports entertainment mogul Shawn "P Diddy" Combs faced "a major show of force: Dozens of agents, some heavily armed, descending on [his] estates in Los Angeles and Miami." The team had a ball game in Washington state, but hopped the state line to get lodging in neighboring Idaho. This region of the US has a low population of dark people, and the local were allegedly less than hospitable to the visiting women's hoops stars. In fact, the team accuses the Idaho locals of practicing Racism and calling the young ladies niggras. NCAA champion Bill Russell is rolling over in his grave. We also discuss legislation to authorize $20 per hour minimum wage for some California fast food workers. The wage increase starts April 1st, but some SoCal food conglomerates like Pizza Hut have already begun laying off workers. Chipotle and McDonald's are raising prices. According to Gov. This reminded Gus of Dr. Frances Cress Welsing’s nemesis, University of Stanford legend and Nobel Prize winner Dr. William Shockley. Gus searched for more information on Dr. Shockley and discovered Harris’ extraordinary 2023 publication, Palo Alto: A History of Capitalism, California & The World. The Race Soldiers received sentences ranging from 10 to 40 years respectively - although they could have received the death penalty for committing these crimes "under the color of law" - meaning practicing White Supremacy while wearing a police badge. The sentencing happened about a week after a Pearl, Mississippi enforcement official, Racist Suspect Michael Green, was accused of forcing a black male to lick urine from the jail floor. And all this was beautifully timed for the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which happens every March 21st. We heard more details about how Jones may have fabricated his medical records to help conceal his death in the massacre and we learned of suspicions that Jones may have been involved in the death of his adopted non-white daughter, Stephanie, and the White superintendent of the church's nursing home, Mable Stewart. Best selling author Yashica Dutt visited the University of Washington to discuss her globally successful book, Coming Out As Dalit: A Memoir of Surviving India’s Caste System. The book was first published in 2019, but an updated US version was released in 2023 that includes Gus' Seattle, Washington and the recent legislation to prohibit "caste discrimination" in the workplace. Dutt is a non-white female born in the area of the world known as India. Her memoir examines her life as a "Dalit," non-white female member of India's caste system. It's been said that this system of mistreatment predates the System of White Supremacy. However, Whites overpowered dark people in this part of the universe too. Gus learned that Vice President Kamala Harris is a member of India's upper caste - which may explain her access to the White House and a White husband. Gus was able to ask Dutt about the role of skin color in the caste system. The bestselling Dalit author had lots to say on this subject! She even detailed growing up with skin bleaching creams. Many non-white females in attendance (classified as Indian) seemed to vigorously relate to the experience of chemically damaging your melanin-rich epidermis. Trump delivered a Super Tuesday deathblow to his final Republican rival, Nikki Haley, for the GOP nomination. President Biden sparked his re-election bid with a rousing State of the Union address that featured lots of juvenile antics and partisan discord between White elected officials. In Nebraska, Minister Malcolm X becomes the first black person elected into the state Hall of Fame. It seems likely that dozens, if not hundreds of Race Soldiers, were awarded this honor before a single non-white person. In the “Make My Day State” of Colorado, hundreds of convictions are now jeopardized after reports indicate Yvonne "Missy" Woods, a White female scientist in the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, fabricated data that was used in criminal convictions. There are many, many instances of this happening - including the criminal labs for the FBI. However, this case involved high profile cases like Kobe Bryant’s alleged rape of a Colorado female in 2003. After finding a "perfectly White" noose in the work area and having a White supervisor to make minimal repairs to the buses's break system, the employees are questioning the county's commitment to Justice and child safety. The C.O.W.S. school bus drivers in the listening audience. Just last week he informed us that he and another co-worker were falsely accused of dice throwing on the school bus. Before this incident could be adjudicated, the privileged black driver was charged with scaring a White female staff members. Thankfully, our listener was not castrated on the spot. In fact, he remembered that there are many cameras on school buses these days. Dr. Joy Boulamwini visits Town Hall Seattle (in conjunction with Third Place Books) to discuss her 2023 publication, Unmasking AI: My Mission To Protect What Is Human in a World of Machines. Dr. Joy is a Rhodes Scholar, as in African Race Soldier Cecil Rhodes, and was the focal point of the 2020 documentary, Coded Bias, which examines how the System of White Supremacy is manifest in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. She discussed some of the more recent cases, including the arrest of privileged black male, 42-year-old Robert Julian-Borchak Williams. The attempted black father of two was snatched from his front lawn and arrested in front of his offspring - just like the character Maverick in The Hate U Give. Detroit, Michigan enforcement officers used facial recognition technology to "identify" Williams as a watch thief. Ilyon Woo, non-white female, visits Elliot Bay Books in Seattle, Washington to promote her brand new book: Master Slave Husband Wife (2023). Gus T. learned about this book when searching for books published the previous calendar year. Woo's work of non-fiction made a number of lists for best non-fiction of the year. The book examines William and Ellen Craft, a pair of 19th century black slaves in the state of Georgia. Ellen Craft is the product of rape and has a White father. Consequently, she is pale enough to be accepted as a White person - so called "passing." After years of White Terrorism and torture on a Georgia slave plantation, William and Ellen take 4 days to concoct an escape plan. Ellen uses her lack of melanin and a fancy pair of pants to fake being an elderly White Man. William is "his" faithful negro slave, and the courageous pair makes haste for the so called north. Woo gives lots of details - including the northern speaking tours William and Ellen gave with the fellow slaves and orators Frederick Douglass and William Wells Brown. Even once the two were miles from the plantation, they could be stolen at any time. Ikponwosa Ero visits the University of Washington to discuss: “Human Rights in Practice: An overview of the journey to protect people with albinism in Africa and globally” Ero was born in Nigeria and migrated to Canada in her teens. She's classified as a non-white female with albinism - a genetic defect which manifests as a person lacking melanin, skin pigmentation. "Ms. Ero is a lawyer by training and the first United Nations Independent Expert on the enjoyment of human rights by persons with albinism. Her experiences and impact span across multiple continents over more than a decade of policy research and advocacy, having worked with several government agencies and organizations to further the rights of persons with albinism, and being a leader in more than twenty international human rights resolutions at both the United Nations and the African Union." Dr. Frances Cress Welsing often discussed the significance of albinism in relation to her theory of White Genetic Annihilation. She theorized that individuals classified as White are also melanin deficient and their lack of pigmentation partly motivates their mistreatment of dark skinned people - especially those classified as black. Gus and C.O.W.S. listeners were able to ask a number of questions. Ms. Ero explained the "intrigue" or thrill associated with publicizing how dark skinned Africans abuse and sometimes butcher African people with albinism. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Mayor David Coltart live from Zimbabwe. Coltart is classified as a White man and has generations of family that have lived on the African continent. He wrote the book, The Struggle Continues: 50 Years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe, which is part autobiography, part Coltart's narrative of life and times in Zimbabwe. This White Man has lived a fascinating life. He was in Boston for then-Senator Barack Obama’s 2004 speech to the Democratic National Convention. He was conscripted to fight for the South African army - ostensibly, to help maintain the local System of White Supremacy. Before serving as Bulawayo mayor, he worked as an attorney of law - and is still practicing. One of his most famous clients is convicted killer Michael Swango, who’s currently in a Colorado cage for the rest of his blond-haired life. After Swango absconded to Zimbabwe to avoid US authorities, he continued killing on the continent. When patients began dying and Swango was fired from his hospital post, Coltart accepted his case for wrongful termination. St. Louis Public radio featured Adia Harvey Wingfield, PhD to place this tragic death within the context of White Supremacy/Racism in the area of labor. Wingfield authored Gray Areas: How The Way We Work Perpetuates Racism & What We Can Do To Fix It. This book was published in 2023, and Gus was just gave serious consideration to reading this book in the Katherine Massey Book Club. An Associate Professor of American History and Culture at the University of East Anglia in England, Dr. Fraser’s “research is primarily concerned with the ways in which discourses of gender, race and sexuality were articulated and interacted in the context of nineteenth century America.” A listener told Gus about her most recent work, which examines black female “intellectuals” in the 19th century. The report provides a wealth of information for non-white people to re-evaluate what it means to be racially classified as White. Dr. Long's work suggests that a fundamental aspect of what it means to be White is the practice and promotion of violence to maintain White Power. His report examines events like the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. and White teen Kyle Rittenhouse gunning down protesters in Wisconsin. We'll discuss the role of White Women, Racist Jokes, and if Dr. Long's research provides evidence if substantial numbers of White people will voluntarily desist from the practice of White Supremacy. A White Woman and North Carolina State University alumnus, Ms. O’Connor is a public historian - which is a new title for Gus T. We’ll discuss her 2023 report: Jim Crow & G.I. Joe: The 54th Coast Artillery Regiment in North Carolina. She provides vivid details about the White Terrorist abuse that black soldiers faced when they moved to North Carolina’s Camp David in the 1940's. This is close to the Wilmington area, which experienced the 1898 White Supremacist Coup to purge black elected officials. This area of North Carolina, New Hanover County, has a White population well over 82%. The White Terrorist purge of black residence is directly responsible for the high population of powerful, wealthy Whites who live in this southeastern region of the state. O’Connor writes explicitly about how Carolina Whites feared “uppity” black males would disrupt the local System of White Supremacy. She includes black males’ use of counter-violence as well as the omission of this important World War II history from current museums and state history projects. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Warren Read. A White male, writer and educator, Mr. Warren is a Washington state native. Once again, James Loewen's Sundown Towns (Racially Restricted Regions) is instructive because many areas of Washington state and Minnesota where hostile to and/or prohibited the presence of black people. Read wrote about his White Grandfather, Louis Dondino, who participated in lynching thee black males in Duluth, Minnesota in 1920. Dondino served a brief stint in prison for his conviction of rioting (not murder) in this case. Read's book, The Lyncher in Me, is his account of this grizzly act of White Terrorism and a biography of his White (Racist?) family's criminal history - which includes child rape. Gus found this ironic considering the reason Dondino and other Whites lynched three black dudes is because the privileged trio was accused of raping a White girl - which turned out to be a lie. Read describes growing up in a mostly White Washington state enclave. However, he was "terrorized" in middle school by a loudmouth, thick-armed, kinky-haired black female. Read starts his memoir suggesting that he, a "gay" White dude, is also libel to be lynched or assassinated like Matthew Shepard. Contrary to popular opinion, Shepard is not a hate crime victim. Rather, this White dude was killed in a drug deal gone bad. She became known to many around the world for her efforts to maintain possession of her black family's Hilton Head Island property, even though thirsty, White developers have been greedily working to devour her acres. In Ohio, Brittany Watts was informed that a grand jury declined to criminally charge her for desecration of a corpse after she suffered a miscarriage. Reproductive rights scholar Dorothy Roberts was in Seattle, Washington this week to discuss how this case specifically illustrates the System of White Supremacy's designed attacks on black mothers and children. Speaking of the black babies, 11-year-old Ahmir Jolliff was buried this week in Perry, Iowa after being shot to death by a 17-year-old White boy. We also say the Deobra Reddin. This is the black male who was transmogrified into a social media caricature of black male savagery. Reddin violently assaulted a White female Las Vegas judge who denied him probation and ordered him to greater confinement. A lovely black female health care worker asked the black panelists for tips to minimize workplace stress. The panel seemed to lack substantive suggestions to help her solve problems or nourish her welling being. Gus made time to speak with her afterwards. However, true his curmudgeon nature, he did not mention Neutralizing Workplace Racism or The C.O.W.S. in general. We also hear from a non-white female who’s having her work space molested by a married White Man. We discuss strategies to eliminate unprofessional, creepy “cracker” conduct from a powerful White supervisor. We also hear a tragic reminder about the importance of safety in the workplace. “The Black African” shared that a privileged black male died at his work cite. Apparently, the owners made no effort to update or clarify safety protocols, no offer of additional safety training.
