Aside from the heatwave and political strife, July 19 started ominously with the a global Microsoft outage that disrupted flights and crippled industries around the globe. We'll see if any C.O.W.S. listeners had the end of their work week disrupted by the electronic chaos. In California, Elon Musk announced he's ditching the "golden state" for Texas in response to Governor Gavin Newsom announcing new legislation that prohibits educators from informing parents if their offspring are considering changing their gender. We also heard a number of illustrations of why non-white people should not consume or provide food in the workplace.
