While reviewing data on the large number of reports of workplace retaliation and Racism in the state of Georgia, Gus T. learned that EEOC mostly serves to vet which allegations have enough evidence to warrant further scrutiny. Gus noted that Asgarian fails to put this title in quotes, even though this is a critical response from Sarah Hart when Hannah's teacher reports that she's not been eating. 5 of the 6 non-white abducted children fell well below the growth levels for their age group when tested by doctors - evidence that they were severely malnourished. But the doctors reported nothing wrong. When neighbors and educators raised warnings and called child welfare, the White lesbian duo easily lied and thwarted all concern. They even ignored calls visits and calls from social service workers for weeks. Ikponwosa Ero visits the University of Washington to discuss: “Human Rights in Practice: An overview of the journey to protect people with albinism in Africa and globally” Ero was born in Nigeria and migrated to Canada in her teens. She's classified as a non-white female with albinism - a genetic defect which manifests as a person lacking melanin, skin pigmentation. "Ms. Ero is a lawyer by training and the first United Nations Independent Expert on the enjoyment of human rights by persons with albinism. Her experiences and impact span across multiple continents over more than a decade of policy research and advocacy, having worked with several government agencies and organizations to further the rights of persons with albinism, and being a leader in more than twenty international human rights resolutions at both the United Nations and the African Union." Dr. Frances Cress Welsing often discussed the significance of albinism in relation to her theory of White Genetic Annihilation. She theorized that individuals classified as White are also melanin deficient and their lack of pigmentation partly motivates their mistreatment of dark skinned people - especially those classified as black. Gus and C.O.W.S. listeners were able to ask a number of questions. Ms. Ero explained the "intrigue" or thrill associated with publicizing how dark skinned Africans abuse and sometimes butcher African people with albinism. We also discussed an alleged "white privilege" that she receives as a result of looking phenotypically similar to people classified as White. Ms. Ero acknowledged there may be some truth to this statement. There was a substantial informal discussion following the main event, and Gus was able to ask even more questions. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Mayor David Coltart live from Zimbabwe. Coltart is classified as a White man and has generations of family that have lived on the African continent. He wrote the book, The Struggle Continues: 50 Years of Tyranny in Zimbabwe, which is part autobiography, part Coltart's narrative of life and times in Zimbabwe. This White Man has lived a fascinating life. He was in Boston for then-Senator Barack Obama’s 2004 speech to the Democratic National Convention. He was conscripted to fight for the South African army - ostensibly, to help maintain the local System of White Supremacy. Before serving as Bulawayo mayor, he worked as an attorney of law - and is still practicing. One of his most famous clients is convicted killer Michael Swango, who’s currently in a Colorado cage for the rest of his blond-haired life. After Swango absconded to Zimbabwe to avoid US authorities, he continued killing on the continent. When patients began dying and Swango was fired from his hospital post, Coltart accepted his case for wrongful termination. Because of the 90’s atmosphere in southern Africa and the bizarre nature of the charges, Coltart believed Swango could be the victim of “anti-white prejudice” and “reverse racism.” Shoutout to the late Robert Mugabe. However, Starbucks has a policy of non-intervention if an armed miscreant enters the establishment. Wingfield authored Gray Areas: How The Way We Work Perpetuates Racism & What We Can Do To Fix It. This book was published in 2023, and Gus was just gave serious consideration to reading this book in the Katherine Massey Book Club. An Associate Professor of American History and Culture at the University of East Anglia in England, Dr. Fraser’s “research is primarily concerned with the ways in which discourses of gender, race and sexuality were articulated and interacted in the context of nineteenth century America.” A listener told Gus about her most recent work, which examines black female “intellectuals” in the 19th century. Gus was not impressed with this title. However, there was a brief reference to the role White Women play in maintaining the slave plantation. In fact, Dr. Fraser wrote a whole book on this subject called: Gender, Race and Family in Nineteenth Century America: From Northern Woman to Plantation Mistress. This work examines Sarah Hicks Williams, a White Woman born in New York, who ends up running a 19th century plantation in North Carolina. The report provides a wealth of information for non-white people to re-evaluate what it means to be racially classified as White. Dr. Long's work suggests that a fundamental aspect of what it means to be White is the practice and promotion of violence to maintain White Power. His report examines events like the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. and White teen Kyle Rittenhouse gunning down protesters in Wisconsin. We'll discuss the role of White Women, Racist Jokes, and if Dr. Long's research provides evidence if substantial numbers of White people will voluntarily desist from the practice of White Supremacy. Dr. Long found a correlation between Donald J. Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and an increase in hate crimes in the US. She's one of the few black researchers who's written about the US scourge of mass school shootings. Dr. Flowers helped Gus and C.O.W.S. listeners establish a superb foundation for understanding school shootings in the US (and the world?). We discussed the book that she co-authored, 20 Years of School Based Mass Shootings in the United States, Columbine to Santa Fe, just as we began our discussion of the 1999 Columbine High School Massacre. A White Woman and North Carolina State University alumnus, Ms. O’Connor is a public historian - which is a new title for Gus T. We’ll discuss her 2023 report: Jim Crow & G.I. Joe: The 54th Coast Artillery Regiment in North Carolina. She provides vivid details about the White Terrorist abuse that black soldiers faced when they moved to North Carolina’s Camp David in the 1940's. This is close to the Wilmington area, which experienced the 1898 White Supremacist Coup to purge black elected officials. This area of North Carolina, New Hanover County, has a White population well over 82%. The White Terrorist purge of black residence is directly responsible for the high population of powerful, wealthy Whites who live in this southeastern region of the state. O’Connor writes explicitly about how Carolina Whites feared “uppity” black males would disrupt the local System of White Supremacy. She includes black males’ use of counter-violence as well as the omission of this important World War II history from current museums and state history projects. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Warren Read. A White male, writer and educator, Mr. Warren is a Washington state native. Once again, James Loewen's Sundown Towns (Racially Restricted Regions) is instructive because many areas of Washington state and Minnesota where hostile to and/or prohibited the presence of black people. Read wrote about his White Grandfather, Louis Dondino, who participated in lynching thee black males in Duluth, Minnesota in 1920. Dondino served a brief stint in prison for his conviction of rioting (not murder) in this case. Speaking of the black babies, 11-year-old Ahmir Jolliff was buried this week in Perry, Iowa after being shot to death by a 17-year-old White boy. We also say the Deobra Reddin. Later in 2021, Dunn testified before the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack. Dunn has now resigned his position with the Capitol Police Department and announced a run for Maryland's open Congressional seat. Last week, Dunn provided more details about what transpired on the day of the insurrection. He reminds listeners that many members of the hoard consumed alcohol and other narcotics while they stampeded through the Capitol building. The University of Washington's Center for Anti-Racism & Community Health hosts a panel discussion on "anti-blackness" and the impact of Professor Dorothy Roberts scholarship. “Moderated by the American Ethnic Studies Department's Dr. Oliver Rollins, panelists will discuss the impacts of Roberts' scholarship across law, public policy, medical ethics, nursing, and sociology. Additional panelists include the School of Nursing's Dr. Monica McLemore, American Ethnic Studies' Dr. LaShawnDa Pittman, and the Department of Bioethics and Humanities' Dr. LaTonya Trotter.” Interestingly, the description for this event says “broken systems.” However, during the discussion, Roberts and other panelists emphasized that the system is working as intended - brutalizing black people. Also, panelists were asked near the end of the discussion if they had a definition of Racism. No one volunteered to briefly share their definition. Three time C.O.W.S. guest and the George A. Weiss University Professor of Law & Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania ventured across the continent to give a presentation at Seattle’s University of Washington. Her talk is entitled: “The Urgency of Reproductive Justice.” Roberts included the Tennessee arrest of Bianca Clayborne and Deonte Williams. Their five children were snatched after the attempted parents were accused of illegal possession of cannabis. She also referenced the Ohio persecution of Brittany Watts, where a black attempted mother may be charged for defiling a corpse following the miscarriage of her child. Vecchione. “Recently retired as chief of the Rackets Division of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office,” Mr. Vecchione is a retired prosecuting attorney, non-fiction writer and Long Island City, New York resident. He co-authored Crooked Brooklyn: Taking Down Corrupt Judges, Dirty Politicians, Killers and Body Snatchers in Brooklyn. This details some of the more salacious cases of Vecchione’s career - including Racist Suspect Michael Mastromarino. This White dentist was a Master Deceiver and mastermind of a body parts smuggling ring. In addition to helping to convict Mastromarino, Vecchione co-authored Behind the Murder Curtain: Special Agent Bruce Sackman Hunts Doctors and Nurses Who Kill Our Veterans. About half of this text is devoted to the infamous Michael Swango. This book focuses on Swango murdering and lying at the New York state veteran’s hospital. Swango killed (or tried to kill) a number of patients there - including privileged black male veteran Andrew Wood, who survived the attack. A 24-year-old White Woman and former officer, Meagan Hall, is reported to have had sexual intercourse and exchanged pornographic images with her male co-workers. Hall says that as a rookie officer, the more experienced male officers took advantage of her naïveté for their sexual gratification. A student of aeronautics and formed Manager of Land Sight Operations at Sea-Tac Airport in Washington state, we’ll discuss Dr. Haddix’s 2022 dissertation: The Motivation to Lead and Black Men's Lived Experiences in Airport Management. Dr. Haddix highlights that there is a substantial lack of research on what motivates black males to seek leadership positions in the workplace and even less data on the black male experience in the field of aviation. To make it explicit, in 2020, the Federal Aviation Administration reported that: “Of the 519 U.S. primary commercial service airports, fewer than 10 are led by African American men.” We’ll explore the interviews that Dr. Haddix conducted with the rare black dude who manages a major airport. In Colorado, a pair of White paramedics were convicted of homicide for the 2019 death of privileged black male Elijah McClain, who died in police clutches. The 19-year-old McClain was reported to police for allegedly "acting strange." Also in Colorado, former President Donald J. Trump's name has been redacted from state presidential ballots because of his involvement in the January 6th insurrection. A White Man raised in Hubbard, Iowa, which is a Racially Restricted Region with a 98% White population, Kix is “a writer who loves to tell big beating-heart stories about larger-than-life people in precarious situations.” He’s married to a non-white female and places that at the front and conclusion of his new book, You Have to Be Prepared to Die Before You Can Begin to Live - which is a quote from legendary Alabama activist Fred Shuttlesworth. Kix focuses on the Birmingham, Alabama protests in the spring of 1963. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. drew national attention to the abuses heaped on black people in a town nicknamed “Bombingham” because of the routine White Terrorism. He specifically maligned Ruby Freeman and Wandrea ArShaye “Shaye” Moss, two black female election workers in Georgia. They were awarded $148 million in damages, although some speculate that Giuliani may lack the coin to pay up. In Mississippi, family of 11-year-old Aderrien Murray were informed that no charges would be filed against the black male officer who shot the 11-year-old while responding to a domestic dispute call. #FirstTimeLastTime And in Colorado, black citizens requested a state task force to examine how the System of White Supremacy impacts black Coloradans in all areas of people activity. #IsaiahShoels We also revisit Dr. Geoff K. The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 9th and final study session on James B. Stewart's Blind Eye: The Terrifying Story of a Doctor Who Got Away with Murder. Stewart is an awarding journalist, attorney, and celebrated true crime author. He nabbed a Pulitzer Prize for his work on "insider trading" and stock market malfeasance during the 1980's. Stewart also hoisted an Edgar Award for his 1999 book investigating the "smooth, good looking" but deadly Michael Swango. This White serial killer is caged at a Colorado supermax penitentiary and is suspected of having killed approximately 60 people - although no one truly knows how many murders Swango committed. Last week, we heard how Swango got cheap room and board from a White Woman in Zimbabwe who managed to hang on to black house servants in spite of Robert Mugabe. Swango hoarded bacon by the pound, stole things, sabotaged the vehicle, and maybe poisoned the house peanut butter. He also poisoned White children while successfully evading African authorities. Black female patient Rena Cooper wrote a 1989 letter to the judge who presided over her civil suit for being poisoned by Swango. She emphasizes her lack of hate for Swango and hopes he gets the help he’s “asking for and needs.” Since being incarcerated for the rest of his life, Swango has adamantly refused mental health resources. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes J.C. Hallman. A White Man born and raised in Southern California. He studied writing at the University of Pittsburgh, the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins, and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Gus found out about Mr. Hallman in a recent American Medical Association presentation on “Truth and Reconciliation in Medicine.” They discussed the history of the AMA excluding black doctors and abusing black patients. Hallman was there to speak to his new book, Say Anarcha: A Young Woman, a Devious Surgeon, and the Harrowing Birth of Modern - just published this year. The book is narrative non-fiction and aims to remove the years of lies and varnish about former AMA president and the “father of gynecology,” Dr. J. Marion Sims. Sims owned slaves, and experimented on black male and female slaves, like Anarcha, without anesthesia to concoct medical “cures” that would benefit White Women. The book reveals much about the System of White Supremacy, and why black people continue to suffer from enormous health deficits. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Geoff K. Ward. Gus T. and listeners were confused about Dr. Ward’s racial classification. After some prodding, Dr. Ward conceded that he has one non-white biological parent and one White biological parent. He was adopted by a black family and was not informed about his biological parents until much later in life. He mentioned that because of his pale complexion, he was not subjected to the same types of abuse as darker black males when he was alone. Dr. Ward was prepared to discuss how other black people have challenged his status as “black.” He did not provide one example of someone classified as White practicing Racism against him. A professor of African and African American Studies and a faculty affiliate in American culture studies and sociology at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Ward studies “the legacies of racial violence, representative social control, and the racial politics of youth justice.” He’s also a member of the Reparative Justice Coalition, which, as Gus understands it, works to recognize and remember acts of White Terrorism perpetuated against black people. Gus heard Dr. Ward’s commentary regarding the 1894 lynching of John Buckner in Valley Park, Missouri. Current-day White residents staunchly reject planting a memorial in the town because: One, Buckner was a black male rapist. Two, said negro rapist was not lynched in Valley Park. Dr. Ward studies how the history of White Terrorism had a myriad of current impacts on areas such a corporal punishment of school children and black homicide rates. We’ll also discuss his fascinating study of one of Gus’s favorite areas of research: Racist Jokes. Dr. Ward details how mocking black people helps unify the White race. Credited with legendary television shows like "All In The Family," "The Jeffersons," "Sanford & Son," and "Good Times," Lear's products have been staple elements of US entertainment and White Supremacy for about a half century. Some pundits suggest that Lear's shows, which broadcast black buffoonery and debauchery, lessened the abuse of Racist Whites. #WTH Speaking of bawdy, Congress held contentious sessions this week with the ivy league presidents of Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania. The hearings were held to examine "antisemitism" on college campuses. Harvard's black female president Claudine Gay was excoriated for not providing yes or no answers about what type of speech is allowed on campus. The Neutralizing Workplace Racism 12/08/23 In the thick of the holiday season, we’ll discuss tips for minimizing problems on the job during the holiday season. Liquored up office parties can lead to ruination. We also discuss the pros and cons of complimenting black female’s hair while at work. Gus thinks that for black males, this behavior is always perilous and to be avoided. Non-white females may have slightly greater latitude with complimenting a non-white female co-worker. However, there are other people on the premises. A White onlooker may have been seeking just this sort of moment to engage black females about cornrows and kinky hair. And we heard about black sanitation workers in Missouri being robbed of overtime wages and paid less than their White co-workers. Simpson trial and examined the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, reported that prolonged, gradual arsenic poisoning produces mental deterioration, impaired thinking, and eventual death. Once Swango felt it impossible to kill as a pretend doctor here in the states, he absconded to Zimbabwe. When asked why he would choose to practice medicine in rural Africa, Swango replied: "I love the blacks." Several black nurses suspected him of being Racist, and some black patients and their families were afraid of reporting their suspicions about Swango. For the second time, James B. We'll also discuss the felony assault charges filed against a White Kansas teen who was recorded verbally attacking and physically assaulting a black female student of Shawnee Mission East High School. It was reported that 1,000 students walked out of class in the region in protest of the Racist attack. The hospital workers valued Swango's White status more than the competent "foreign" doctors with peculiar accents. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Jamie Salazar. Described as a “Mexican American and Indiana native,” we’ll first have to get clarification about whether or not Mr. Salazar is classified as a White Man. It says he was born to “underpaid Mexican immigrants” on the Amazon page for his 2005 memoir, Legion of the Lost: The True Experience of An American in the French Foreign Legion. He explicitly told Gus that at times he is accepted as a White Man. And he knows this because Racists assume he is also Racist White Man when they launch into Racist Jokes. Nearly twenty years after that book, Salazar returns to writing about soldiers with his 2021 publication, Mutiny of Rage: The 1917 Camp Logan Riots and Buffalo Soldiers in Houston. Numerous outlets recently reported that after more than a century, 110 black soldiers, all deceased, will be given clemency for their convictions in the Camp Logan racial unrest. Salazar details what led to the armed conflagration that resulted in more White casualties than black. A key factor was black soldiers being charged as “uppity”/“militant” for rejecting their place in the System of White Supremacy. Gus learned quite a bit about the “Lone Star State,” and noted a couple of major errors in Salazar’s work. One instance being that Salazar writes that Suspected White Supremacist Carolyn Bryant Donham, who falsely accused Emmett Till of verbally accosting her and allegedly participated in having the black teen lynched in August 1955, died in 2008 and recanted her part in the murder. Egregious errors (deliberate lies?). Donham lived until 2023, and she never recanted her testimony about the "wolf-whistling" Chicago boy. Salazar also claims that White people de-funded police departments in the US after the 2020 police killing of George Floyd. Residents of Rockcastle County were encouraged to evacuate until all fires could be extinguished and the area deemed safe from chemical contamination. The year began with a myriad of train derailments here in the US and abroad. Staffing shortages, climate change, and failing infrastructure are common reasons given to explain why train catastrophes could be a growing concern. Speaking of apocalyptic contamination, the Environmental Protection Agency announced a $2 billion project to clean up chemically defiled areas where significant populations of non-white people live and to invest in "green energy." In New York City, Mayor Eric Adams, who was already being investigated for illegal campaign finances involving foreign officials, now faces charges for sexual abuse.
