The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Suspected Racist Dr. Linda C. Morice. A professor emerita of educational leadership at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Dr. Morice has penned several books and scholarly reports throughout her distinguished academic career. We’ll discuss her most recently published text: Nuked: Echoes of the Hiroshima Bomb in St. Louis. The text details how the St. Louis region joined in the manufacture of components for one of the 1945 WWII weapons of mass destruction. After smacking around Tojo and the yellow people, Missouri citizens slowly became aware that of the devastating health consequences of exposure to radioactive waste. We’ll discuss how Whites lied and OBFUSCATED to keep citizens confused about the imminent health threat. White Supremacy/Racism is an enormous component of NUKED since the bomb was meant for non-white people (Japs). Importantly, Dr. Morice writes about the abuse of black miners in the Congo who were exploited and killed to extract the world's most pure uranium for US atomic bombs. Bombs that would be deployed against non-white people in Japan. who were Axis teammates with Nazi Germany. Within this context, Dr. Morice rejected a global system of White Supremacy/Racism. She had no definition for the term "racism," but attempted to concoct an ad hoc definition for us. Nuked details how St Louis region’s radioactive waste sites currently have large populations of black people - although this was not originally the case. As Whites absconded the poisoned housing, black people were left to take whatever they could get. Dr. Morice kicks off NUKED describing her White family's move to the St. Louis region in September of 1957. She vividly remembers the White Supremacist onslaught against nine black Little Rock children that necessitated deployment of the National Guard. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Jenny Bulstrode live from England. A Lecturer in History of Science and Technology at University College London, Dr. Bulstrode "uses an interdisciplinary combination of archival research, oral traditions, tacit skills and material science to research histories of material practices and how those practices shape differing ways of knowing the world. Her work seeks to foreground and centre histories of marginalised sciences, both for their importance to dominant traditions in the physical sciences and on their own terms." We'll discuss her recent focus on Black skill and innovation in 18th Century Jamaica in the report: 'Black metallurgists and the making of the industrial revolution.' Dr. Bulstrode highlights how Henry Cort used his White network to professionally loot a lucrative Jamaican factory. They stole precious machinery and maybe even the highly skilled black workers too. We highlight the extraordinary skill level of Africans that made them more appetizing/valuable to White enslavers. For those of who do not melt, weeks ago the US invoked the new Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts debut study session on Sue Klebold's A Mothers' Reckoning. Published nearly 20 years after the notorious 1999 Columbine High School massacre, where 13 people were killed, Mrs. Klebold is the White mother of Dylan Klebold - one of the cowardly White killers. After spending years in silence, Klebold stepped center stage to share her anguish over losing her child and her perspective on her child's attempt to slaughter hundreds of his classmates while disintegrating the high school. Allegedly, a percentage of the proceeds are donated to mental health causes. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Jeff Kass. A reporter for the now-defunct Rocky Mountain News, Kass is a renowned journalist who was on the scene April 20th, 1999 for the Columbine Massacre. He investigated and reported on this massacre for a decade and compiled his research into the 2009 publication: Columbine: A True Crime Story. Mr. Kass missed out on viewing the Basement Tapes, but did file a number of Freedom of Information requests to get a better understanding of why 13 people were killed by two White teens. We’ll discuss how this failed bombing is connected to the other White bombers of the decade and the pattern of “White Victimhood” connecting the killers. We’ll also discuss the infamous Sue Klebold - mother of one of the killers, and the corruption of the Jefferson County Sheriffs's Office before and after April 20, 1999. He has won awards for investigative reporting and political commentary, and written widely for U.S. publications including the Los Angeles Times and The Atlantic.” Gumbel is a White Man, a Racist Suspect. The Katherine Massey Book Club just concluded Dave Cullen’s Columbine, which details the failed 1999 bombing in Colorado. Gus began connecting the dots to the many White bombers of the decade. An independent scholar whose work examines the relationship between fans, objects of fandom, and producers, Dr. Jones has published extensively on digital media, gender, antifandom and toxicity. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Transformative Works and Culture, Participations, and Sexualities, as well as edited collections for Palgrave and Routledge. She’s also a board member on the Fan Studies Network. We’ll discuss her 2022 paper on the White fandom around the cowardly Columbine shooters. In Baltimore, Maryland, 28 people were injured and two people killed after gun fire ended a weekend block party. The Guardian reports that there were 16 mass shootings and 15 fatalities from Friday evening through the beginning of the July 4th week. Lots of young non-white people were present for these various shootings. Again, Fuller recommends no parties. In France, rioting continues for a second week after the police killing of nonwhite teen Nahel M. The disturbance forced French citizens to acknowledge the local and national System of White Supremacy - although they mostly used the term "systemic racism" or other euphemisms. With widespread reports of mass shootings during "holiday" gatherings, perhaps we would have been safer if we'd just stayed at work? There were a number of reports on challenges in the nursing field. They updated the "fake nursing" scandal, detailing how numerous non-white nurses in Pennsylvania were terminated, shamed and/or forced to earn their credentials for a second time . There was also a comprehensive report detailing the White Supremacy/Racism that nurses endure from White patients and fellow medical staff. This Racist abuse is contributing to the health care worker shortage in the US. We also discuss the deadly New Jersey blaze on a cargo container that killed two firefighters. New York City's ABC7 News reports the "victims were identified as Augusto "Augie" Acabou, 45, and Wayne "Bears" Brooks Jr., 49." We learned about the police failures and outright lies that enabled this cowardly White tandem. Cullen minimizes the corruption of the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office and omits much of the evidence of these White boys's Racism - such as reports of their Racist Jokes and they're routine public commentary about killing black people and "Jews." He also omits their fascination with Racist serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson. Last week, Cullen told us sweet Dylan didn't really want to kill anyone. Cullen would have us believe "VoDKa" dry snitched to his teacher by writing one of the most violent reports possible - something both these two did frequently. He also submits Dylan was not a part of the bomb-making and weapons assembly. This is contradicted by footage of Klebold and Harris practicing at the gun range. Neither looked reluctant to shoot. It's also more difficult to think Dylan was disinterested in bloodshed since he's accused of calling Isaiah Shoels Racist Names and dragging him out to be killed. The teen duo apparently had contact with enforcement officers well in advance of the shooting. In addition to factual errors, like Eric Harris's supposed tryst with twenty-something Brenda Parker, Cullen omits much of the evidence of these White boys's Racism - such as reports of their Racist Jokes and routine public commentary about killing black people and "Jews." He also omits their fascination with Racist serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson. Last week, Cullen told us Dylan was depressed and slacking hard during his final year of high school leading up to the massacre. It's as though we are supposed to forget Vodka is the one accepted to college. Eric had no post graduation plans. Cullen compares the two White teens to other terrorist actors of the decade like Timothy McVeigh and the Palestinian Liberation Army. This ignores other White bombers like Ted Kaczynski and Eric Rudolph who were actively killing people during the same period. The Columbine duo used similar terrorist techniques to Rudolph - secondary explosives to potentially kill first responding police and medical personnel. A historian and a Research Associate with the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Michael worked for government agencies for over 25 years. His professional focus is demographics largely dealing with US Census data. Earlier this year, Gus shared a report about John J. Audubon digging up non-white corpses to share skulls with his buddy Samuel George Morton. Mr. Michael has done extensive research on Morton’s Racist craniology work - which posits that black people are dumb and have tiny skulls and brains. Apparently, Morton had homies around the globe ship him skulls to bolster his Racist views. Hampton had such an impact that Haas remained dedicated to fighting to expose the government-led, White Supremacist conspiracy to assassinate the young chairman. He compiled the years of deceptions and courtroom battles in his 2010 book, The Assassination of Fed Hampton: How the FBI and the Chicago Police Murdered a Black Panther. We'll discuss the role of FBI informant William O'Neal, a black male recruited to spy on black people when he was 19-years-old. O'Neal is accused of drugging Hampton the December night in 1969 when the Panther leader was killed in his sleep. He admitted to providing a detailed floor-plan of the premises. Haas describes O'Neal as a "moral eunuch." We'll discuss the years of lies to conceal this unjust murder and how Fred Hampton's assassination relates to other incidents of Chicago history, like the murder of Emmett Till and the Torture of black males by former Police chief Jon Burge. A long time attorney for the People's Law Office in Illinois, Haas represented Fred Hampton and member's of Chicago's chapter of the Black Panther Party. Haas talked with Hampton and heard him speak against Racism on a regular basis. Hampton had such an impact that Haas remained dedicated to fighting to expose the government-led, White Supremacist conspiracy to assassinate the young chairman. He compiled the years of deceptions and courtroom battles in his 2010 book, The Assassination of Fed Hampton: How the FBI and the Chicago Police Murdered a Black Panther. We'll discuss the role of FBI informant William O'Neal, a black male recruited to spy on black people when he was 19-years-old. O'Neal is accused of drugging Hampton the December night in 1969 when the Panther leader was killed in his sleep. He admitted to providing a detailed floor-plan of the premises. Haas describes O'Neal as a "moral eunuch." We'll discuss the years of lies to conceal this unjust murder and how Fred Hampton's assassination relates to other incidents of Chicago history, like the murder of Emmett Till and the Torture of black males by former Police chief Jon Burge. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Judith Fathallah. Since we began discussing the Columbine High School Massacre of 1999, Gus has learned so much. Specifically, two new terms I learned because of this subject are: Columbiners & Hybristophilia. The former refers to individuals, most of whom classify as White, with a tremendous interest (obsession) with the people and events associated with the school slaughter. The other term refers to people, again, mostly Whitefolks, with an attraction (often sexual) “toward real or fictional criminals or gangsters. It is a romantic vision of criminality and of the violation of social rules and moral codes.” The cowardly White Columbine tandem has legions of White males and females who “worship” these two as gods, or at minimum, two tragic White dudes who’re cute and in need of a hug. We’ll speak with Dr. Judith Fathallah about her research on this subject and the White worship of White mass shooters, serial killers, and child murders. An adopted White Woman, Dr. Jackson “is a professor of History at Colorado Mesa University and teaches courses in women's and gender history; the history of sexuality; immigration, race and ethnicity; and other courses focused on Modern U.S. History.” Gus was snooping in the university library and found her recently published work, Scandinavians in Chicago: The Origins of White Privilege in Modern America. Pay close attention to Dr. Jackson's response to being asked if her White adoptive parents are Racist. She was born and raised in a Racially Restricted Region of Michigan that was 98% White. A number of listeners have shared anecdotes about Race Soldier colleagues lobbing snide remarks about "negro holidays" and slavery this time of year. If you're on vacation this coming Monday, enjoy your time away from work and invest those free hours constructively. Also, Gus saw another report on the "Silver Tsunami" - the increasing number of aging White people who are nearing retirement age in their professions. This is potentially making job vacancies for non-white people, or leaving a host of critical positions, like firefighter, vacant. The Covid-19 pandemic allegedly accelerated the rate of retirement for many workers. We'll also review the triumph of Shannon Phillips. Way back in 2018, Phillips was terminated from her position as manager of a Philadelphia Starbucks after enforcement officials were called in response to two black males being in the cafe. The search was never executed. Brooks' mother, Judy, told the New York Times she'd reported Eric to the police 15 times. The Context of White Supremacy (C.O.W.S.) Radio Program welcomes Dr. Jennifer L. Pierce. A faculty member in the University of Minnesota’s Department of American Studies, Dr. Pierce’s “research follows two related trajectories: one in the area of racial and gender inequality in American workplaces and several collaborative projects developing different aspects of my methodological expertise.” Months before the current court case adjudicating "affirmative action," Gus T. found Dr. Pierce’s 2012 book, Racing for Innocence: Whiteness, Gender, and the Backlash Against Affirmative Action. Although there is a substantial amount of conflation in the book - suggesting White Women are also victims of “discrimination,” there are a number of important sections. Dr. Pierce details how discussions of "affirmative action" have been "deliberately" misrepresented. Tellingly, she highlights that most of the complaints about "affirmative action" exclude White and non-white females. In fact, some times she writes explicitly that "unqualified" black males are the specific target of White fury. The book also details how White male lawyers grouse about not being able to swap Racist Jokes in the law office. Gus kicks off this interview with Dr. Pierce's egregious (and, perhaps, Racist) omission of former LAPD officer Mark Fuhrman. The EEOC also said "[Racism] in construction is a workplace safety issue." Something Gus has been saying for years. A professor and coordinator of the Crime, Justice, and Security Studies Program at the University of the District of Columbia, Dr. Flowers is classified as a black female. She's one of the few black researchers who's written about the US scourge of mass school shootings. We'll discuss her 2021 publication, 20 Years of School Based Mass Shootings in the United States, Columbine to Santa Fe. The book uses Columbine as a "launch point" for examining the evolution, scope, and characteristics of mass school shootings. The research details what qualifies as a "mass school shooting" and evidence based patterns of these massacres. One of the main points is that Columbine-style school shootings are almost exclusively carried out by White males. Our normal Racist patterns of thinking - associating black males with crime, will fail us in solving this problem. Another important point, is that the killing of school children is more likely to happen when White gunmen have assault weapons. They carried out the attack on Hitler's birthday and a mere 4 years after Timothy McVeigh's bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building - which was on April 19th, 1995. Draper III An associate professor of Portuguese at the University of Missouri, Professor Draper was born in the Philippines but grew up in sunny California. He developed an interest in Brazilian poetry and popular music before teaching about the country's history. We'll discuss his English translation of Mário Filho's The Black Man in Brazilian Soccer, originally published in 1947. We just read this text in the Katherine Massey Book Club. Gus thought based on it's contents, this book's correct title is: Moleque's with Kinky Hair in Brazilian Soccer. Professor Draper detailed the racist meaning of this term and his logic for translating this to "street urchin." We also discuss the homoerotic elements of the book - which include many passages of the White author describing muscular, sweaty black thighs and "kinky" negro hair. After working in the Civil Rights Division of the US Department of Justice for fourteen years, where he handled some of the nation’s most significant cases of police misconduct, hate crimes and human trafficking, Fishman founded the Justice Innovation Lab, an organization that uses a data-informed approach to build a more effective and fair justice system. We'll discuss his newly published book, Fire on the Levee: The Murder of Henry Glover and the Search for Justice after Hurricane Katrina. Glover, a black male NOLA native, was shot in the back by a White police officer (David Warren). Other officials then burned a vehicle with Glover's body in the rear. Suspicousy, Glover's skull disappeared. Many aspect of Fishman's book reveal truth about the System of White Supremacy. However, the portion of the book that describes the pornographic stash of high resolution, "unofficial" photographs of Henry Glover's body and likens them to lynching postcards of the early 20th century is especially revealing.
