One component of White Supremacy/Racism is to fabricate obstacles so that black employees fail to maintain the necessary clearance. This is another great motivator to eat healthy, drink lots of water and exercise often to maintain optimal body weight and fitness. We'll also revisit the dangers of "dating" a co-worker. Even hooking up with non-white workers colleagues can present a host of problems. We'll also hear from a number of extremely competent, accomplished black professionals who are still denied promotions and career development opportunities. We'll also discuss the horrific death of Aaron Henderson. This black male was gainfully employed and killed while at work. Currently employed at the University of Houston holding the Moores Professorship of History and African American Studies, Dr. Horne is a distinguished scholar, prolific author and historian. We've read his biography of Paul Robeson and discussed his fascinating study of professional boxing and White Supremacy (The Bittersweet Science). Speaking of The C.O.W.S. book club, we recently completed Philip K. Dick's #TheMan in the High Castle. One of the Asian characters is mockingly called "Tojo." Gus was ignorant about Tojo until Retired Firefighter informed me about former Japanese General Hideki Tojo, who was executed as a war criminal following World War II. Gus flipped to Dr. Horne's Race War!: White Supremacy and the Japanese Attack on the British Empire and felt guilty for not having already read this extraordinary book. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. J. Russell Hawkins. A Professor of Humanities and History at Indiana Wesleyan University, Dr. Hawkins studies theology, U.S. history and White Supremacy. He recently published a book, The Bible Told Them so: How Southern Evangelicals Fought to Preserve White Supremacy. Earlier version of this book did not feature the term White Supremacy. Dr. Hawkins details how for most Whites in South Carolina and beyond, their brand of Christianity said that White Jesus made the "races" separate and made the negro to serve Whites. When the 1954 Brown v. Board of education decision was rendered, White Christians often formed the backbone of Massive White Resistance. We'll emphasize Mr. Neely Fuller Jr's conclusion that the System of White Supremacy is the strongest Religion in the known universe. We'll also emphasize the importance of correct words and accuracy. Some school officials see a correlation between the White animosity towards "critical race theory" and the HBCU bomb threats. There are no reports of arrests.
