President Biden articulated consternation about Melonia's victory and branded the results a threat to "democracy" - which is a common lie within the global System of White Supremacy. In California, the entertainer known as Coolio demonstrated a lifetime of "black male privilege" by passing away at the age of 59. The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 2nd study session on the late Bill Russell's 1979 publication, Second Wind: The Memoirs of an Opinionated Man. Russell passed away on July 31st of this year at the age of 88. The NBA titan won eleven championships and was elected to the basketball Hall of Fame. However, he is most known for his counter-racist efforts - which includes lots of writing. We previously discussed the abridged version of Russell's Louisiana childhood in Isabel Wilkerson's The Warmth of Other Suns. Gus noted that Wilkerson omits key counter-violence elements to the narrative. Low and behold, the memoir - co-authored by White historian Taylor Branch, also omits significant episodes of counter-violence by Mr. Russell's father and grandfather. Our debut session on the book mentions a lynching in Ruston, Louisiana. Gus investigated, and the only lynching reported in Ruston, Louisiana during the 1930's is that of RC or WC Williams. This 19-year-old black male was killed after being accused of killing a White man and clubbing a White Woman. Pulitzer Prize winning historian Taylor Branch does not add one morsel of detail about this incident - not even Williams' name. A November 1938 report on this murder indicates that black residents of Ruston "agreed" not to discuss this lynching because too many "better-class Whites" participated in the murder. Stunningly, Russell said that his parents did not generally discuss White people or Racism. His mother worked to minimize Russell's contact with White people. Now we can focus on getting over the end-of-year holiday gauntlet - kicking off with Halloween in a few shorts days. Hopefully, employees of the Phoenix Suns and Mercury will have an easier, less abusive conclusion to the calendar year after Robert Sarver announced plans to sell both franchises. This comes after Chris Paul, a Sarver employee, LeBron James, corporate sponsors and others called for the White owner to be removed from the league after a lengthy investigation revealed Sarver made Racist Jokes, lewd and sexual commentary, abused female staff and generally conducted an unprofessional and malicious regime. Speaking of NBA foul play, Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka received the same one year suspension for inappropriate consensual sexual activity in the workplace. Udoka, who was born in Nigeria, is accused of making unprofessional comments to his workplace paramour. This is another pitiful reminder that non-white people should never engage in sexual activity with co-workers. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Dr. Marvin Dunn. A former naval officer, historian and author, Dr. Dunn is a professor emeritus of Florida International University. Our first chinwag was in 2013, in the midst of the Trayvon Martin murder trial, when we discussed his spectacular work, The Beast in Florida, A History of Anti-black Violence. Dr. Moore gives a scholarly account of decades of organized terrorism against black residents of the sunshine state. He has a whole chapter on the 1923 Rosewood massacre, where an entire town of black people were violently assaulted and forcibly removed from their property. Dr. Dunn recently visited his own land in Rosewood, where he plans to recognize the White Terrorism from a century past. However, while visiting his property, Dr. Dunn and his son Doug, were Racially Terrorized by a 61-year-old White Man, David Allen Emanuel. Dr. Dunn strategically employed social media to publicize this event, which may have motivated local enforcement officials to act. Subsequently, Emanuel was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. We’ll discuss this tragedy as well as Gov. The New York Times reports that this White, former police officer and captain "had long been suspected of raping and terrorizing Black women as he patrolled the streets of Kansas City." The Kansas City Star has been reporting on this Raping Race Soldier for years. Across the pond in Germany, Denisha Montgomery died suspiciously while serving in the US armed services. Her family reports that she contacted them after being assaulted by her drunk, White soldiers. Georgia's WRBL reports that before her death, Montgomery told her parents that after consuming alcohol with her White colleagues they assaulted. Her parents remember Montgomery saying that "on the car ride back, 'They choked me out like they was doing this in the car. I kept telling them … I cant breathe.'" Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Brett Farve might be investigated after evidence reveals he was party of scheme to defraud the state of Mississippi's treasury. Apparently, the pill-popping ball player and his White pal, former governor Phil Bryant, snookered this loot to build a volleyball stadium for Farve's white daughter, Breleigh. Black residents of Jackson got no water or volleyballs. The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 4th and final study session on Fred Rosen's The Bayou Strangler: Louisiana's Most Gruesome Serial Killer. As Gus stated, there wasn't a lot of press coverage about Ronald J. Dominique and the 23 males he killed in Louisiana. There isn't a rich collection of video and written reports documenting family members's loss and the furor over the killings. That's probably irrelevant to Rosen - who died in 2020. At the very beginning of The Bayou Strangler, Rosen informs readers that some people's names have been changed, but all other elements of this history remain true to the record. During last week's reading, we discovered Rosen's book is flagrantly inaccurate. In fact, Gus and several listeners suspect Rosen changed names of characters so that he can more easily fabricate details of these crimes. Rosen tells us that one "John Banning" was "horny" and willing to accompany Dominique once offered the chance to earn a few nickels having sex with a White Woman. The allegedly feverish black male is actually named Ricky Wallace, and he has no need for anonymity. He was on the front of the artwork for a 2011 documentary on these crimes, and is mentioned in newspaper reports as well. Equally important, Rosen tells readers that "Banning" declined the offer and walked away. Wallace provided a sworn statement to his White parole officer, where he indicated that he had a standoff of at least twenty minutes inside Dominique's residence. After using a modicum of counter-violence, he convinced the White man to drive him back to where they met. Wallace said he threatened to strike Dominique in the face during the drive because the White man repeatedly reached for a compartment on the driver's door. There is no logical reason for Rosen to lie about these events. His fabrication is no more entertaining and it gives White enforcement officers unearned credit for solving this case. With daily images of dehydrated black residents of Jackson, most of us paid no attention to non-white people in Pakistan, where biblical flooding is responsible for more than 1,200 deaths and the Racial Dislocation of millions of non-white people. Most of the White-dominated media outlets around the world have minimized or outright ignored this catastrophic disaster - which is almost impacting dark people exclusively. Speaking of media attention, everything is playing "second fiddle" to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II of England. She died at 96 and may have spent nearly a century on the planet as a prime monarch of the global empire of White Supremacy. Some on social media blamed her death in part on her "swirling" grandson Prince Harry and his tawny non-white bride Meghan Markle. In the US, trailblazing journalist Bernard Shaw passed away at the age of 82. Non-white people easily evaded invitations to steal company property, and kept things cordial with other non-white workers. We even got an surprisingly constructive update. "Vegan RD," wrote in to tell us about her extraordinary effort to minimize conflict between non-white people. A fellow non-white worker was rightfully unhappy about being passed over for a new title - she may have been promised this position by a White supervisor. This black worker prepared to resign and voiced hostility to "Vegan RD," who was selected for the new title. As opposed to responding with insults and vitriol, "Vegan RD" peacefully encouraged this Victim to keep her calm as well as her job and benefits. This past week featured a great deal of reminiscing about the 2005 tragedy, but Ronald Dominique was not mentioned. Last week, Rosen detailed how Dominique dumped a body during the middle of a 2004 Tropical Storm. Although Dominique killed mostly black males, he also murdered several White Men. Listeners acutely noted that the White author did not include the same pornographic details about the nude White corpses as is the case with black victims. Rosen also takes a number of cheap shots at the Victims as well as their family members. Black teen murder victim Datrell Woods was described as: "A real piece of work." Rosen informs readers that his family never visited him or contacted. White victims like alleged crack abuser Larry Matthews are not subjected to thinly veiled insults. Additionally, 33 million people - OVERWHELMINGLY non-white - have been Racially Dislocated. Climate change is being blamed; however, Gus T. thinks it's more accurate to indict Whites's centuries of contaminating the planet they rule. Now, the consequences are disproportionately destroying the lives of non-white people. On the other side of the planet, the mostly black residents of Jackson, Mississippi are facing life-threatening water shortages. Residents have endured weeks of "boil water notices," and now, deteriorating water treatment plants cannot supply drinkable water to black residents. Schools have been forced to return to remote learning and a number of businesses have temporarily closed. The elderly, children and expecting mothers are disconsolate. Former Soviet Union Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev died this week at the age of 91. It's doubtful he was boiling water or praying for Perrier and Fiji's bottled goodness during his last days. Gus thinks attempted counter-racist scientists should view the apocalyptic flood in Pakistan and the Jackson, Mississippi water crisis together with the Hurricane Katrina and the New Orleans levee breach of 2005. The catastrophes in Mississippi and Pakistan are happening 17 years removed from the destruction and death of more than 1,000 black people in the Gulf Region. Covid-19, Racism, inflation, and job shortages are just a few of the components to the ongoing labor chaos. Since the System of White Supremacy is global, reports on workplace strife are dominating the planet as well. Workers in Tunisia and the United Kingdom report widespread abuse in the workplace - especially for people classified as black. The Brits' Morning Star Online reported: "'SOUL destroying racial discrimination is rife in the workplace,' campaigners warned tody, after the TUC revealed research showing two-fifths of black and minority ethnic workers (BME) have faced racism at work." Ironically, this book and the book we just finished, Absolute Madness, are both "true crime" texts written by White authors detailing the slaughter of dozens of black males. Both books were published in 2017. In fact, the parallels between these two serial killings are unrelenting. The rampant child rape within the Roman Catholic Church is a core element of what transpired in Buffalo and in New Orleans. Listeners and Gus T. suspected Joseph G. Christopher may have been raped and/or molested by his father or a member of the Buffalo diocese. Ronald Dominique alleged that he was molested as a child by a Catholic priest. The Houma-Thibodaux and New Orleans's dioceses released lengthy lists of White men accused of raping children. In fact, the FBI recently launched an investigation into the child molestation charges against the New Orleans diocese. They're employing the very same Mann Act used against the great Jack Johnson more than a century ago. Last week Rosen employed the term "Cajun culture" to describe the widespread sexual abuse of children by adults - often including parents and other family members of the victim. Gus reminded listeners that southern Louisiana has a centuries long, proud history of sexual debauchery of all sorts. One week after NPR reported that California will be the first state to enact legislation to track "Black employee data by lineage," the Los Angeles Times reported the largest "Racial Bias Cases," where "latino" workers are accused of terrorizing black workers. The details and scope of the investigation are staggering. Anna Park, regional attorney for the EEOC’s Los Angeles district office, reported that, “There’s a more blatant display of hatred with the N-word, with imagery, with nooses. All the violence you’re seeing in the news, it is manifesting in the employment context.” Black employees of Cardinal Health and AppleOne charged that in 2016: "Black workers were subjected to the N-word by co-workers and managers 'many times per day…including ‘n— bitch’, ‘lazy ass n— ain’t did no work all day,’ and ‘Look at those n—looking like monkeys, working like slaves like they should be.’' The first worker to file a complaint described being called anti-Black slurs in English and Spanish, facing prejudice from a Latina supervisor and being deliberately run over with a cart by a Latino co-worker. An alumnus of the University of Mississippi - affectionately known as Ole Miss, Wilkie was classmates with Air Force veteran and counter-racist legend, James Meredith. As Meredith is a personal hero of Gus, we'll ask about the Terrorism Meredith experienced while being Ole Miss classmates with Wilkie. We'll also explore his recent text, When Evil Lived in Laurel: The 'White Knights' and the Murder of Vernon Dahmer. Just a few years after Meredith "tarnished" Mississippi's lily White, flagship university, civil rights workers within the state continued to attack all areas of people activity. Vernon Dahmer, a black male, worked fearlessly to register black voters. White Terrorists threatened he and his family and ultimately killed Dahmer - affectionately referred to as "the Dahmer Nigger." Wilkie's books focuses mostly on the actions of White FBI informant Tom Landrum. After being recruited by the FBI to infiltrate and report on the Jones County Klan, Landrum snitches on Klan activities because he allegedly hates "kluckers" and their violent, crude, boorish conduct. Everything about this work promotes the lie that we've made lots of "progress" eliminating White Supremacy. It's common for teens to begin their work experience in retail, the location's close to their residence. Her child reported his attempt to question a White tandem who appeared to be looting soda pop. Team members did not support her son - even when the would-be White thieves rebuffed requests to produce a receipt. Gus's suggestion back then was to refrain from pursuing shoplifters too hard. Low and behold, black dollar store employees in Louisiana are considering a union to improve work conditions. One of the problems cited was safety. A black male reported that he attempted to question a potential shoplifter. This smuggler also declined to produce a receipt, but he did brandish a firearm. Gus strongly discourages risking your black (non-white) life for any products - or White employees - at any dollar store. And we'll hear about the workplace abuse of Shakeem Peterson, a black naval veteran and a former employee of Ring Power Corporation in Florida. Low and behold, Father Michael R. Freeman has several substantiated claims of child rape. In fact, even during the time that Father Freeman met Joey and testified at his murder trial, Freeman was allegedly raping children - sometimes at gun point. The Buffalo diocese was aware of Freeman's child molestation and assisted him in evading law enforcement. These crimes were widely publicized in 2018 and are extremely relevant to this book. There's flagrant anti-sex/homosexual activity and sexual deviance throughout the text - including prostitution and wide age differentials between partners. Dr. Kenneth O'Reilly returns to The Context of White Supremacy Radio Program. An emeritus professor of history at the University of Alaska Anchorage, Dr. O'Reilly specializes in U.S. politics, presidential history, and "race relations." We've spoken with Dr. O'Reilly twice before about his books: Nixon's Piano: Presidents and Racial Politics from Washington to Clinton; and Racial Matters: The FBI's Secret File on Black America, 1960 to 1972. In 2009, The C.O.W.S. had only returned to the air for 2 months when Dr. O'Reilly first spoke with us about COINTELPRO - the FBI's clandestine surveillance program to neutralize non-white people who attempted to counter-racism. A writer for the Benton Spirit Newspaper and founder of Nick Eats, Mr. Gunn is a Michigan epicurean who enjoys supporting local businesses. The Suspected Race Soldiers physically attacked Gunn and called him ni@@#$ in defense of their copyrighted work. Gus was fascinated with this report because Gunn's attempted family warned him about St. Joseph, Michigan. Although only a six minute drive from Benton Harbor, a predominantly black town, St. Joseph is a Racially Restricted Region (sundown town). According the 2020 US census, more than 85% of the residents are classified as White. The late James Loewen's research site reports that Racists in St. Joseph allegedly raised the drawbridges to reduce black people's access to town. Dr. Houck was born raised in Mansfield, Ohio - which was strong KKK territory during the 20th century. We'll discuss brand new book, Black Bodies in the River: Searching for Freedom Summer. This book examines the lore around the 1964 murders of James Chaney and those two White boys. Since White Lives Matter, media and enforcement officers devoted maximum time and energy to covering this case and prosecuting the killers. Black Bodies in the River explores the unnamed black victims of violence who didn't get the attention of the Freedom Summer killings. In Mississippi, a White police chief was terminated after a recording was published where Sam Dobbins bragged about killing 13 black males. In fact, he told co-workers that he shot a niggra 119 times in a cornfield. The Katherine Massey Book Club hosts the 10th study session on Catherine Pelonero's 2017 publication, Absolute Madness: A True Story of a Serial Killer, Race, and a City Divided. In the days since our last reading, the east side Tops grocery store where Massey and 9 other black people were slaughtered has re-opened. Many black residents wanted the building destroyed. The Race Soldier, Payton Gendron, was federally charged with 27 counts of hate crime and weapons violations. He could face the death penalty if convicted. Last week, Pelonero detailed the indicted and extradition procedure against "Joey." She suggested that the media spun a narrative of Christopher bragging and boasting about killing black people so that the public has an uncomplicated story about a lone, Racist killer. Pelonero continues to insist that this White man is "crazy," a pitiful dingbat. Ernie Smith, a black male and former co-worker of Christopher, was interviewed for the investigation. He said that he and "Joey" used to wrestle and "fool around" after work. In the proceeding paragraph, Smith says that sometimes he and Joey would "fool around" with "street girls" (sex workers), although Christopher would not have intercourse with the female workers. The homoeroticism of the text is boundless. Gus suspects "Joey" was sexually attracted to and perhaps involved with black males like Ernie Smith and maybe even Collin Cole, a transvestite who worked the streets as a prostitute named "Wilma." The Context of White Supremacy Radio Program revisits July 27th, 2013 Compensatory Call-In. This program aired two weeks after the conclusion to the Trayvon Martin murder trial. Dr. Welsing joined us on, July 21st to discuss the teen's death and weeks of courtroom action. During her commentary, she promoted Neely Fuller Jr's 10 Stops and added her own suggestions - which included abstaining from drug use. Dr. Welsing's five minute anti-drug spiel inspired other podcast segments and motivated a host of C.O.W.S. listeners to voice their support of cannabis consumption, and/or their view that Dr. Welsing is probably confused about the THC-loveliness of reefer. They say hindsight is 20/20. Nearly a decade after these events, 19 states and Washington D.C. have legalized recreational use of the green stuff. A professor in SUNY Buffalo State's Department of Geography and Planning, Dr. Knight’s research interest focuses on the physical and social evolution of cities and their constituent neighborhoods, with a particular interest in policy and planning for distressed neighborhoods. A C.O.W.S. listener sent Gus his 2018 report: Walkable and resurgent for whom? The uneven geographies of walkability in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Knight documents how black Buffalo residents are stockpiled in parts of the city where few amenities can be reached on foot. This makes it harder for black people to access employment opportunities, enjoy the health benefits of walking to work or the supermarket, and makes for consistently inefficient travel. This type of refined White Supremacy is just as deadly as Payton Gendron, the teenage White Terrorist who killed 10 black people in an east Buffalo Tops grocery store. We'll get Dr. Knight's thoughts on last week's re-opening of the supermarket just weeks after the massacre. In addition to engaging in "Racial Showcasing Confusion - Dr. Knight blamed Buffalo's black mayor for championing "Neo-liberalism" and ignoring the black resident of the east side, he also accused Gus and callers of asking "slippery," "gotcha" questions. He specifically accused Gus of using a "double negative" in a question (a false charge). After approximately 90 minutes elapsed, Dr. Knight changed his answer to Gus's question about evidence of Whites discontinuing the practice of Racism. White Men from Illinois to Virginia to Texas continue to plot out gun massacres in the U.S. There's been so much carnage, many have totally forgotten that an 18-year-old White man killed almost a dozen black people on the East side of Buffalo, New York this spring. In the same vein, we've barely spoken to anyone (White or non-white) who knew any details about Joey Christopher's terrorist assault on black citizens of New York. Last week, Pelonero stressed how everyone felt awful for Christopher's White mother, Therese. Police executed a search warrant on her residence, but insisted they would complete their probe and exit the house expeditiously. White neighbors and even Joey's former White girlfriend sympathized with the suspected killer. His former girlfriend allegedly felt bad about revealing so much information to officers. Officials in Ft. Benning, Georgia where Christopher was stationed, told investigators that Joey was an average soldier who physically attacked a number of non-white troops who called him names and mocked his masculinity. Robert E. “Bobby” Crimo III, a 21-year old White Man, opened fire on a Highland Park parade, killing at least six people in the process. Crimo dressed as a Woman to evade police, and contemplated starting a second terrorist attack before he was apprehended. Highland Park is a suspected Racially Restricted Region/"sundown town," with a very low population of black people (1% or less according to the Chicago Tribune). In Richmond, Virginia, enforcement officials arrested two suspects who allegedly planned similar carnage for the Commonwealth state. Ohio's 4th of July celebration switched to protests, anger and curfews over the police killing of Jayland Walker. It's reported that Walker sustained 60 (sixty) wounds, and approximately 90 rounds were fired. The fatal shooting was last month, and evidence from the killing suggests White officers lied about what happened. Across the pond, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is once again facing demands to resign. Former deputy chief whip Chris Pincher is accused of groping males and other acts of debauchery. Pincher was appointed by Johnson, and now both are facing calls to resign. Correction. Johnson submitted his resignation before week's end. Fashion has apparently undergone a major shift. After two years of hybrid work - or exclusively working from home, many workers have gotten extra comfortable wearing less than professional attire. Now, that many have returned to the office, leisure attire has taken the place of business suits and blazers. Gus recommends that non-white people refrain from wearing footies, pajamas, sweatpants or anything other than what you typically wore to the office before the pandemic. A professor of politics, geography and international studies at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, Dr. Kraus is Department Chair, Pre-Law Advisor, as well as Chair of the International Studies Program. He pays particular attention to race and politics. Since the White Terrorist slaughter at an east Buffalo Tops grocery store, where 10 black people were killed, Gus has devoted substantial time and energy to studying the history of White Terrorist violence in Buffalo. While digging at the University of Washington library, Gus found Dr. Kraus's book, Race, Neighborhoods, and Community Power: Buffalo Politics, 1934 - 1997. This work provides a comprehensive history of west New York, and the many ways Whites have deliberately maintained and refined the System of White Supremacy in all areas of people activity. However, it fails to mention the 22 Caliber Killer, Joseph G. Christopher and his butchering of numerous black males in Buffalo. The killings occurred in the middle of the time frame this book explores and further evidence some of the major themes of his book. We'll ask Dr. Kraus if this this was a willful omission or personal ignorance. Interestingly, Dr. Kraus's White brother dialed in and stated that Gus put his brother "on the defensive" about his failure to include the .22 Caliber Killings.
