(STINGER: WWE) A high stakes main event on tonight’s SmackDown...Roman Reigns defending his Universal Title against Daniel Bryan. If Bryan loses, he is GONE from SmackDown. Another title match tonight - Big E gets his rematch...as he challenges Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Championship. On Thursday’s NXT UK… The announcement of an upcoming five-woman gauntlet match - Jinny vs. Isla Dawn vs. Xia Brookside vs. Dani Luna vs. Emilia McKenzie. The winner gets the next shot at Kay Lee Ray’s Women’s Championship. Also on the show, Meiko Satomura beat Aoife Valkyrie...Gallus beat Eddie Dennis, Primate and T-Bone...and Teoman beat Rohan Raja...via referee stoppage. We also learned that A-Kid will defend his Heritage Cup Title against Tyler Bate...in THREE weeks. (STINGER: Impact) Better late than never for Kenny Omega. On last night’s Impact, Scott D’Amore threatened to STRIP Omega of his newly won Impact World Championship - and suspend him - if Omega didn’t appear in-person on the show. Omega arrived with minutes to spare - and just in time for he and the Good Brothers to run in on the main event between Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards - a qualifying match for a 6-Way #1 Contender’s Match for Omega’s Impact Championship. Juice Robinson and David Finlay quickly followed to join the fight. Impact later clarified on Twitter that Callihan won the match via disqualification. So, he qualifies for the #1 Contender’s Match at the Impact Plus exclusive show Under Siege. Also qualifying last night - Chris Bey, who beat Jake Something - with an assist from Rohit Raju...and Matt Cardona, who avenged his loss at Rebellion to Brian Myers. Three more qualifying matches are set for next week - Rohit Raju vs. Trey Miguel, Rhino vs. Chris Sabin, and Moose vs. James Storm. Getting back to Edwards, he’s still heading to Under Siege. Impact announced he’ll be in a 6-Man Tag alongside FinJuice to take on Omega and the Good Brothers. Also announced last night for Under Siege - Fire n’ Flava getting their rematch for the Knockouts Tag Titles against Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. Plus, Willie Mack has challenged W. Morrissey to a match at Under Siege. Another New Japan wrestler is stepping through the Forbidden Door...and into Impact Wrestling. El Phantasmo will be on next week’s episode. Getting back to last night’s show...Josh Alexander submitted Ace Austin to retain the X-Division Title...and former Knockouts Champ Taylor Wilde returned to the ring for the first time in a decade...with a submission win over Kimber Lee. A title change Pro-Wrestling NOAH. There is a NEW GHC National Champion. Takashi Sugiura dethroned Kazuyuki Fujita on Thursday’s “NOAH The Glory” show. The main event saw Keiji Muto use a blitz of Shining Wizards to pin Masa Kitamiya and retain the GHC Heavyweight Title. After the match, Muto was challenged by Naomichi Marufuji...and that match is now set for the Cyber Fight Festival on June 6th. One other note from Thursday’s show. Yoshinari Ogawa and HAYATA are still the GHC Jr. Tag Team Champs. They fought off a challenge from Ikuto Hidaka and NOSAWA. (STINGER: New Japan) Tonight’s New Japan Strong is an “LA Dojo Showcase”. The main event is Karl Fredericks vs. Clark Connors. Also, Ren Narita & Fred Rosser vs. Kevin Knight & Alex Coghlin...and The DKC vs., TJP. Back in Japan, there was a New Japan show in Kagoshima on Thursday...with Kota Ibushi’s first match since he lost the IWGP World Heavyweight Title to Will Ospreay. Ibushi tagged with Hiroshi Tanahashi...and beat Jeff Cobb and Aaron Henare. Ibushi pinned Henare. After the match, Ibushi challenged Cobb to a singles match. It appears that will happen at the Yokohama Stadium show on May 15th. Shinjiro Ohtani will miss his final two matches in All Japan’s Champion Carnival tournament...due to a broken right arm. (STINGER: ROH) This weekend’s Ring Of Honor TV has HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams defending his TV Title against Tony Deppen...Flamita vs. Bandido...and Matt Taven & Mike Bennett vs. the Beer City Bruiser and Ken Dixon. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight’s NXT is promoting the first interview with Adam Cole since TakeOver. Bronson Reed faces Austin Theory. If Reed wins, he gets another shot at Johnny Gargano’s North American Title. Also, Mercedes Martinez vs. Dakota Kai...and Kushida & MSK vs. Legado Del Fantasma The WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash...is now a 3-Way. Bobby Lashley will now defend against Drew McIntyre AND Braun Strowman. Strowman earned his place in the match by pinning McIntyre in the main event of last night’s Raw. A distraction by T-Bar and Mace gave Strowman the opening he needed. The show opened with T-Bar & Mace beating McIntyre & Strowman via countout...after McIntyre hit Strowman with an errant clothesline. Strowman hit McIntyre with a powerslam after the match. One week after Charlotte Flair suspended indefinitely, and fined, for attacking a referee...she was BACK on Raw. She apologized to the ref she pummeled...and after some prodding the ref apologized to Charlotte. Sonya Deville was on hand for all of this and she lifted Charlotte's suspension. This was apparently ALL news to Adam Pearce. Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler beat Asuka, Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. Earlier in the match, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose strolled out...threw water at Baszler...which led to Jax slipping on the wet floor. All this in retaliation for Jax throwing flowers at Brooke & Rose earlier. Deville decided to punish her former tag partner Rose with a match against Charlotte Flair. And Charlotte pinned Mandy with Natural Selection to win that match. I guess R-K-Bro is gonna be a thing. Riddle and Randy Orton teamed up to beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Damien Priest, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods pelted The Miz, John Morrison, Elias and Jaxson Ryker with tomatoes...then won a trios match against them Humberto Carrillo was back on Raw to once again get in the face of the United States Champion Sheamus. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan joined other promotions Monday...in calling off some shows due to a new COVID-19 state of emergency in parts of Japan. Three shows at Korakuen Hall scheduled for May 8th, 10th & 11th are now canceled. New Japan has a big show on Wednesday - with Roppongi 3K defending the Jr. Tag Titles in the main event...against El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Also, Toru Yano will defend the KOPW 2021 provisional title against EVIL. It’ll be a Creation Of Darkness Blindfold Match. Blindfolds/hoods will be hung on each ring post. A decision can not be scored until you use one to blindfold your opponent. A couple big singles matches on the Road To Wrestling Dontaku on Monday. It was a good day for Los Ingobernables De Japon. Tetsuya Naito delivered THREE Destinos to pin Great-O-Khan in the main event. And, SANADA pinned Aaron Henare after a TKO and a pair of moonsaults. (STINGER: AEW) Some fresh faces on tonight’s Dark...including former Lucha Underground Champion Marty Casaus (ka-SAUCE) making his AEW debut against Brian Cage. Also, The Blade & Private Party vs. Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & 10. On last night’s Dark: Elevation...Big Swole & Red Velvet beat the dysfunctional team of Nyla Rose & Madi Wrenkowski. Rose was bullying Wrenkowski. Wrenkowski was giving Rose an attitude. Rose eventually turned on her - hitting a powerbomb on Wrenkowski and then just walking away. Matt Sydal pinned Joey Janela in the main event. Also, Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky beat Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds and Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: ROH) On Ring Of Honor’s weekend TV…The first outing for Violence Unlimited was a disqualification LOSS in a trios match against La Faccion Ingobernable. Brody King used a chair on Bestia Del Ring to draw the DQ. The show ended with The Foundation running out to beat up BOTH factions. Earlier, Eli Isom and Dak Draper wrestled to a 15-minute time limit draw. It looked like were gonna get 5 more minutes, but Dalton Castle arrived on the scene first - sporting a new look AND new BOYS. Castle kicked both guys in the groin to put them down...and then, danced away. Next weekend’s ROH TV will have HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams’ first defense of his TV Title...against Tony Deppen. Tonight’s NWA Powerrr has Da Pope defending the NWA TV Title against Tyrus. Major League Wrestling will debut on VICE TV this Saturday at Noon. (STINGER: Impact) It happened. Kenny Omega is the NEW Impact World Champion. He pinned Rich Swann, clean in the middle of the ring with the One Winged Angel in the main event of last night’s Rebellion pay per view. Omega also secured Swann’s TNA World Championship with the win. Omega already holds the AEW World Championship...AND the AAA Mega Championship. That’s FOUR belts...and counting. The former Big Cass made his debut in Impact - as W. Morrisey - subbing for Eric Young on the Violent By Design side of an 8-man tag. Young has a torn ACL. Josh Alexander is the new X-Division Champion. He pinned the former champ Ace Austin to win a 3-Way that also included TJP. Rachael Ellering pinned Kiera Hogan...and she and Jordynne Grace took the Knockouts Tag Titles from Fire n’ Flava. FinJuice is STILL the Impact Tag Team Champions. Juice Robinson caught Luke Gallows in a small package to get the pin and the win over the Good Brothers. Deonna Purrazzo held onto the Knockouts Championship by pinning Tenille Dashwood. Taylor Wilde entered the Impact Zone to save Dashwood from a a post-match beating...and take down Kimber Lee and Susan. Trey Miguel beat Sami Callihan in their Last Man Standing match. Brian Myers took advantage of a knee injury to Matt Cardona to get the pin in their showdown. On the pre-show...the makeshift team of Rosemary and Havok beat Kimber Lee and Susan. During last night’s broadcast, Impact announced three upcoming major events. An Impact Plus exclusive - Under Siege - on May 15th… Against All Odds on June 12th. Plus, the Slammiversary pay per view is coming up in July. No specific date was mentioned. He revealed that Wednesday in an Instagram post. He said he’s been in the hospital for 5 days and expects to remain there for a bit longer. EC3 said the issue is “an infection (he) neglected proper care for”...and he will heal. EC3 is set to headline a “Free The Narrative” pay per view event...in a match against Matt Cardona...coming up on Thursday, May 27th. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight’s Impact is the last stop before Sunday’s Rebellion pay per view - and the big Title vs. Title main event between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann. We’ll get some final words from both men. Also, we’ll see the Good Brothers vs. Decay...Eddie Edwards vs. Eric Young...and Shera vs. Jake Something. (STINGER: AEW) A pair of title matches on last night’s Dynamite... Hikaru Shida pinned Tay Conti to retain her AEW Women’s Championship. Dr. Britt Baker was out after the match to reveal SHE is now on top of the rankings of contenders for Shida’s title. In last night’s main event...Darby Allin held onto his TNT Championship. He used the Last Supper to hold down Jungle Boy for the pin. During the match, Sting traded punches with Luchasaurus...and that tussle spilled down one of the entrance tunnels. After the match, Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky ran out to beat up Allin and Jungle Boy. Page hit Allin with the Ego’s Edge. Lance Archer came out. Page and Sky beat him up too. Sting returned and that was enough to get rid of Page and Sky.. The show opened with Hangman Page SUBMITTING Ricky Starks - cinching up his head and ankle to get the tap out. Earlier in the match, Starks under-rotated while flipping out of a German suplex and landed on the back of his neck. Starks later tweeted that he’s “good”. Team Taz jumped Page after the match, but Dark Order quickly ran out for the save. Penta El Zero Miedo beat Trent. Penta’s translater Alex Abrahantes got physically involved in this match - taking advantage of a distracted referee...and hitting Trent in the head with a microphone, allowing Penta to finish him off. QT Marshall pinned Billy Gunn. This was a wild one. Marshall’s student Nick Comoroto brawled with Gunn’s sons at ringside. As that was happening, Anthony Ogogo snuck out...and one punch to the midsection of Billy Gunn led to a Cutter from QT...and the pin. Marshall was looking for more after the match - but he was run off by Dustin Rhodes, who was armed with a bull rope. Rhodes settled for smashing a wooden chair over the head of Comoroto. Christian Cage hit the Killswitch and pinned Powerhouse Hobbs. The Elite spent most of the night in their new personal trailer. So, of course, Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston showed up and rammed it with a pickup truck. (STINGER: WWE) WWE will report its first quarter earnings today. There will also be a conference call starting at 5PM Eastern with Vince McMahon, Nick Khan and others addressing investors. Moustache Mountain reunites on today’s NXT UK. Tyler Bate and Trent Seven team up to face Noam Dar and Sha Samuels. Also on the show...Joe Coffey vs. Eddie Dennis. Any comeback plans for Ronda Rousey in WWE will have to wait. On Wednesday, Rousey announced she’s pregnant. She and her husband Travis Browne said the due date is in September. (STINGER: New Japan) A stipulation was added to the upcoming match between Zack Sabre Jr. and Tanga Loa. If Sabre wins, he and Taichi get a tag title shot against the Guerillas Of Destiny. But if Tanga Loa wins, Sabre and Taichi can never again challenge for those titles. That match is at the Wrestling Dontaku show on May 3rd. (STINGER: ROH) Ian Riccaboni confirmed a report by Fightful that he re-signed with Ring Of Honor. Riccaboni said he signed the deal “during the early stages” of the COVID-19 pandemic. Major League Wrestling’s Court Bauer delivering some news on last night’s Fusion. He announced MLW is getting back on the road...holding hold its first event in front of LIVE fans in over a year. Johnson’s family told filmmaker Chris Bourneau they’ve been in contact with WWE and were promised corrections will be made. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight’s SmackDown is the final stop before WrestleMania...and there are a couple Mania-worthy matches on tonight’s. There’s a FATAL 4-Way for the SmackDown Tag Titles. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode defending against...Rey & Dominik Mysterio...Chad Gable & Otis...and the Street Profits. Also, the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is on tonight’s SmackDown. 22 participants are announced for that match - including Shinsuke Nakamura, Jey Uso and King Corbin. Night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver last night. Kyle O’Reilly was battered, bruised, but victorious in his Unsanctioned Match against Adam Cole. O’Reilly wrapped his leg in a steel chain and then dropped it onto Cole from the top rope...while Cole was draped over an open, upside-down steel chair. Cole appeared to have O’Reilly beaten with the Panama Sunrise earlier in the match. The only problem was that Cole deliberately knocked out the referee just moments earlier. Karrion Kross reclaimed the NXT Championship he was forced to relinquish due to injury - beating Finn Balor last night. Kross is now an undefeated, 2-time champion in NXT. Johnny Gargano needed not one - but TWO - Final Beats to pin Bronson Reed...and hold onto the North American Title. Santos Escobar beat Jordan Devlin in a ladder match to unify both men’s Cruiserweight Championships. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon beat Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell to retain the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Drake Maverick and Killian Dain beat Breezango on the pre-show...to become the #1 contenders for MSK’s NXT Tag Titles. Two successful title defenses in back-to-back days for WALTER. On Thursday’s NXT UK Prelude special...he turned away the challenge of Rampage Brown. Tyler Bate earned a shot at A-Kid’s Heritage Cup Title with a win over Noam Dar. Emilia McKenzie and Meiko Satomura beat UK Women’s Champ Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn. McKenzie pinned Dawn with a small package. After the match, Satomura had a staredown with Aoife (EE-fah) Valkyire. It’s another busy day of independent shows around WrestleMania Week in Tampa. GCW’s Spring Break has Joey Janela vs. Chris Dickinson...and Ricky Shane Page vs. Nick Gage. Chris Jericho issued the challenge on last night’s Dynamite. Later, Pinnacle attacked Jericho backstage...and dragged him to the ring. The rest of The Inner Circle were locked in their dressing room. Wardlow was looking to finish off Jericho when Mike Tyson entered the arena. He got some punches in on Shawn Spears. The rest of Pinnacle made a run for it....and then, Tyson and Jericho publicly made amends - following up on their brawl on Dynamite a little less than a year ago. Tyson will be back on next Wednesday’s Dynamite as the special enforcer for a one-on-one match between Jericho and Pinnacle’s Dax Harwood. The Young Bucks couldn’t pull the trigger during the 6-man tag team main event - Matt Jackson spared Kenny Omega multiple times...to the point that their partner Jon Moxley got sick of waiting and hit Omega with a pair of Paradigm Shifts. That’s when the Bucks turned on Moxley and finally sided with Omega and the Good Brothers. Pac and Rey Fenix get their shot at the Bucks’ tag team titles on next Wednesday’s Dynamite. Also next week, Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Matt Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Allin had a successful defense last night against JD Drake. Also last night, Tay Conti beat The Bunny. And Taz offered Christian Cage a spot in Team Taz. This is the first BIG day of independent shows surrounding WrestleMania week in Tampa. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles will be defended at WrestleMania. But first, we need a challenger. A Tag Team Turmoil match will decide that on Night 1 of Mania - Naomi & Lana vs. Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad vs. Tamina & Natalya. Those teams were announced on last night’s Raw. WWE’s website listed a fifth team - Carmella & Billie Kay. Anyway, whichever team wins on Night 1 will challenge the champs, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler on Night 2. Raw women’s champion Asuka and her WrestleMania challenger Rhea Ripley were NOT able to coexist last night. They lost to a non-title match to the WWE women’s tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Ripley attacked Asuka during the match, allowing Baszler to PIN Asuka. Drew McIntyre survived a final hurdle on his road to Mania, beating King Corbin. WWE Champ Bobby Lashley warmed up for their showdown with a non-title win over Cedric Alexander. Xavier Woods rolled up AJ Styles for an upset win...and U.S. Champ Riddle pinned Mustafa Ali in another non-title match... WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies air tonight on WWE Network and Peacock starting at 8PM. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay is the top man in New Japan. He defeated Kota Ibushi at Sunday’s Sakura Genesis show...to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. After his crowning moment, Ospreay issued a challenge to Kazuchika Okada. Okada answered the call to the ring, but before he could answer Ospreay...Okada was interrupted by Shingo Takagi, who also wants a shot at Ospreay. Ospreay agreed to face Takagi first...then Okada. Ospreay’s United Empire revealed a new member at Sunday’s show: Aaron Henare - the former Toa Henare. He teamed up with Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb to defeat Tetsuya Naito, SANADA and Takagi. Henare pinned SANADA. The Junior Tag Titles also changed hands at Sakura Genesis. Roppongi 3K dethroned El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. YOH debuted a new finisher - the Direct Drive - to pin Kanemaru. This the fifth Junior Tag Title reign for Roppongi 3K. But YOH - who just got back from an ACL tear - wants more. He’s got his eyes on Despy’s singles junior title. Hiroshi Tanahashi and Satoshi Kojima beat Jay White and Bad Luck Fale. Tanahashi pinned Fale. Then, Tanahashi went after White after the match - locking him in the Texas Cloverleaf until White tapped. Tanahashi then accepted White’s challenge for his NEVER Title. In the opening match, Zack Sabre Jr. pinned one half of the heavyweight tag champs, Tanga Loa, to win a 6-man tag. After the match, New Japan Chairman Subabayashi took possession of the Iron Fingers belonging to ZSJ’s tag partner Taichi. Hiromu Takahashi made an appearance at the top of the show, as he joined the commentary team. Takahashi is still out with a shoulder injury. More news from Japan... Stardom held a major show Sunday at Budokan Hall...where Utami Hayashishita fought off Bea Priestly’s challenge for the World of Stardom Title. Afterward, Priestly announced that the match was her last in Stardom.. In the main event, Giulia and Syuri won the Goddesses of Stardom Titles. They dethroned Maika & Himeka. (STINGER: WWE) A new match announced for tonight’s Raw - Xavier Woods vs. AJ Styles. (STINGER: AEW) TWO big returns from injury during the main event on last night’s Dynamite. During the Arcade Anarchy match between Miro & Kip Sabian and Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor...Kris Statlander made a surprise return. She emerged from one of the arcade machines set up around ringside and took out Penelope Ford. Later, Trent made an even more dramatic return...riding into Daily’s Place in his mom’s minivan. Sue was at the wheel. Trent helped turn the tide. Taylor pinned Sabian and the Best Friends reunited, and celebrated alongside Statlander, to end the show. Two weeks after being laid out by MJF’s new crew, The Pinnacle...The Inner Circle returned with a vengeance. They stormed The Pinnacle’s dressing room - which was actually theirs first - and this was a rout. Santana & Ortiz battered and bloodied FTR...Sammy Guevara slammed Shawn Spears’ head in a door...and Chris Jericho dunked MJF’s head in a toilet. The exhibition match between Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall ended in a violent split of the Nightmare Family. Several of Marshall’s students - Nick Comoroto, Aaron Solow and Anthony Ogogo - helped him beat down Cody, Dustin Rhodes, Arn Anderson and Lee Johnson. QT had even more planned with a steel chair, but Red Velvet ran out to save Cody. AEW Champ Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers beat the Lucha Bros. and Laredo Kid. Omega pinned Laredo Kid with the One Winged Angel. After the match, Jon Moxley strolled out to ringside...and the Young Bucks ran out to stand with him. It’ll be Mox and the Bucks vs. Omega and the Good Brothers on next week’s Dynamite. Nyla Rose and The Bunny beat women’s champ Hikaru Shida and Tay Conti. The Bunny cracked Conti with a kendo stick to steal the win. The AEW in-ring debut of Christian Cage was a decisive win over Frankie Kazarian. (STINGER: WWE) Two new matches announced - and details sorted out on a third - for next week’s NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Added to Night 1 - Pete Dunne vs. Kushida. They were part of a Battle Royal main event on last night’s NXT…to decide the participants and the order of entry for an Eliminator Gauntlet match on Night 1 of TakeOver. LA Knight was the winner. So, he’ll enter the gauntlet match last. Isaiah SWERVE Scott and Leon Ruff will be the first two men in the ring - followed by Bronson Reed...Cameron Grimes will be fourth...with Dexter Lumis fifth...and Knight after that. The winner of the gauntlet match on Night 1 of TakeOver gets a shot at Johnny Gargano’s North American Championship on Night 2. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell will challenge Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles on Night 2 of TakeOver. We learned last night that Night 1 of TakeOver not only air live on USA Network, but will be streaming live on Peacock. There were several vignettes during last night’s NXT featuring a dog that looks very much like one owned by Taya Valkyrie. The final vignette ended with the words “See you April 13th” and was signed “Franky”. April 13th is when NXT moves to its new time slot on Tuesdays. Also on last night’s NXT… Cameron Grimes distracted Roderick Strong with an old Undisputed Era armband...and that gave Grimes the opening he needed to take the win. Grimes has been trying to use his vast wealth to acquire the rights to the Undisputed Era name and branding. Strong was set to compete in the Battle Royal main event, but he left the building before that match simply saying he’s “done”. Tian (TEE-ahn) Sha beat Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter - but this was basically Xia Li fighting them by herself. Mei Ying - the mysterious woman who sits on the throne - she didn’t even get up out of her seat until Carter got in her face. At that point, Ying quickly choked out Carter and blew smoke in her face. Then, Li finished off Catanzaro. Today’s NXT UK has Pretty Deadly defending their tag titles against Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan On last night’s MLW Fusion…Jacob Fatu got some outside help from Contra and was able to retain his MLW Heavyweight Championship against Calvin Tankman. MLW announced a partnership with Japan’s Dragon Gate promotion with further details still to come. (STINGER: WWE) The Universal Title match at WrestleMania is now a Triple Threat Match - Roman Reigns defending against Edge AND Daniel Bryan. Adam Pearce announced the decision at the end of last night’s SmackDown. New matches added to Mania during last night’s SmackDown… Seth Rollins and Cesaro will meet on Night 1. Rollins beat Shinsuke Nakamura on last night’s SmackDown. Added to Night 2: Big E defending the Intercontinental Title - once again - against Apollo Crews. Crews did pin Big E to win a 6-man tag last night. Also announced for Night 2 - Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. Zayn promised last night that YouTuber Logan Paul will appear on next Friday’s SmackDown for a red carpet premiere of the trailer for Zayn’s documentary. Also last night...Rey Mysterio pinned one-half of the Smackdown tag champs, Dolph Ziggler. Bianca Belair pinned Natalya with the KOD. Sasha Banks was outside the ring during the match, taunting Belair. At one point, Belair went outside the ring and slapped Banks. After the match, Banks attacked Belair from behind. (STINGER: ROH) Rush is STILL the Ring Of Honor World Champion - but aside from that, it was NOT a very good Friday night for La Faccione Ingobernable. After Rush was victorious over Jay Lethal in the main event of ROH’s 19th Anniversary pay per view...he was confronted by a former challenger - Brody King. Only King did not come alone, and introduced his own group to combat LFI - Tony Deppen, Chris Dickinson and former ROH World Champ Homicide. LFI’s Dragon Lee had an especially tough night - and he wasn’t even at the show. Lee missed the show due to surgery for a ruptured eardrum. So, Kenny King defended Lee’s TV Title in his place - but LOST to HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. The end of the match saw Amy Rose throw the TV title belt into the ring. King and Williams stared at it for sec...but when King went for it, Williams caught him with a piledriver for the win. Later, Bestia Del Ring subbed in for Lee, as he and King defended the ROH tag titles - and LOST to Williams and Rhett Titus. Again, Amy Rose was blamed for the loss...and after the tag match, Bestia Del Ring hit her with a SPEAR! Jonathan Gresham is still the Pure Champion. He submitted Dak Draper with a sleeper that he applied by diving through the ropes and onto Draper. Dak was able to carry Gresham’s weight back into the ring but he was out of “rope breaks” and there was no escape after that. Shane Taylor Promotions successfully defended their 6-man tag titles against the MexiSquad. After the match, Flamita, Bandido and Rey Horus got into an argument. That led to a 3-way match between them on the main show. Bandido pinned Flamita with the 21-plex to win it. Silas Young turned on Josh Woods! He hit Woods with a steel chair and Dalton Castle rolled up Woods for the win. Matt Taven and Vincent brawled through the P.A.L. Hall in Fall River, Massachusetts. The fight ended when a large man pushed both men off a balcony...and through a pair of tables set up below. That large man carried Vincent out of the building. On Twitter, he identified himself as “Dutch”.. EC3 got the handshake he was looking for from Jay Briscoe - but moments later he got a Jay Driller and took the loss. Danhausen won the 4-way during the free first hour of the show. During the show, it was announced that Ring Of Honor will hold a tournament over the summer to crown a new women’s champion. Angelina Love will get a bye in that tournament if she can beat...backstage interviewer Quinn McKay. Rocky Romero was on commentary for the entire main show. At one point, Delirious came out and whispered something into Rocky’s ear. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night’s New Japan Strong… Clark Connors upset TJP in a qualifying match for the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup tournament. Connors was caught in a heel hook, but managed to roll up TJP for the pin. The other qualifying match last night saw Chris Dickinson beat Blake Christian. David Finlay & Karl Fredericks beat FILTHY Tom Lawlor & Danny Limelight in last night’s main event. Finlay pinned Limelight. Back in Japan, the Road To Sakura Genesis tour kicks off on Sunday. There are two “tiers” to Mayhem Mania. The 8-match “undercard”, where our players create and make changes to matches, and the SUPERCARD. To reach the SUPERCARD, a match must survive three rounds on the “undercard” without being altered in any way. So far, only one match has made it. MAYHEM MANIA 2021 SUPERCARD Raquel Gonzalez vs. Beth Phoenix (Created by Tina Keys) That’s a pretty darn good match, but we still have a lot of work to do. Not everyone is eligible to use in Mayhem Mania. They must be under a WWE contract or otherwise within WWE’s orbit of influence. Also, everyone comes in their current physical/contractual/etc. state (We are ignoring COVID-19 diagnoses because this is supposed to be a fun diversion, not a reminder of the terrible things happening around us.). Simply put, if Vince McMahon can’t do it, you can’t do it! Other wrestlers are not eligible to use because one of our players has sent them to SPACE JAIL. “Cell numbers” correspond with the numbers on our prize wheel. Every week we spin our prize wheel to give one of the SPACE JAIL inmates a chance to escape. Thankfully, SPACE JAIL remained secure this week. 5 players were invited onto the Wrestling Mayhem Show for the latest round of Mayhem Mania 2021. Each can make ONE of the following changes to our card: – SWAP one wrestler or team with one in another match on the card or replace them with a wrestler or team not currently on the card – ADD a wrestler or team to an existing match – DELETE a match in its entirety and replace it with a new match using entirely new wrestlers – SUBTRACT an individual from an exisiting match. – MATCH SWAP: This year, we have a designated “cinematic match” slot on our card. WALTER is already set to defend the UK Title the following day...against Rampage Brown on the NXT UK Prelude special. New NXT Tag Team Champions will be crowned on Night 1. It’ll be a 3-way for the vacant titles: MSK vs. the Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Legado del Fantasma. Johnny Gargano will defend the North American Championship at TakeOver. Determining his challenger will be...a process. On next week’s NXT there will be a 12-man Battle Royal. The final six men in that match will advance to a Gauntlet Eliminator match on Night 1 of TakeOver. The winner there gets Gargano on Night 2. Night 2 will also see an NXT Cruiserweight Championship Unification Ladder Match between Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin. The main event on last night’s NXT was a face-to-face between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. Those two will meet in an Unsanctioned Match on Night 2 of TakeOver. Earlier in the show, Roderick Strong said both Cole and O’Reilly can “go to hell”. Jessi Kamea was pulled from a match for the NXT Women’s Tag Titles. Mercedes Martinez took her place alongside Aliyah, but they could not beat Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Aliyah took the pin. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell declared they want the next shot at Blackheart and Moon. Bronson Reed pinned LA Knight. Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai beat NXT Women’s Champ Io Shirai and Zoey Stark. Two new inductees to the WWE Hall Of Fame announced Wednesday - Kane and The Great Khali. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Champ Kenny Omega opened last night’s Dynamite - snuffing out Matt Sydal’s hopes of earning a title shot, pinning him with the One Winged Angel. Omega returned later in the show...after the Lucha Bros. & Laredo Kid beat the Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler. Omega attacked Laredo Kid. Then, he gave the Bucks one last chance to share a Too Sweet with him. The Bucks refused and walked out. That left Omega alone to suffer a double superkick from the Lucha Bros. Darby Allin pinned John Silver to retain the TNT Championship in last night’s main event. Sting was on hand to keep Dark Order in line. After the match, there was a wild brawl - with Sting, Allin and Dark Order joining forces against Matt Hardy’s faction. Silver tweeted after the show that his “shoulder is messed up”, but the “doctor doesn’t think it’s too serious”. Also last night, Tay Conti upset Nyla Rose - pinning her after hitting her hammerlock DDT. Rose and Vickie Guerrero were poised for a post-match attack, but AEW Women’s Champ Hikaru Shida ran out to even the odds. That’s when The Bunny entered the fray...and attacked Shida and Conti. AEW announced a new reality show starring Cody and Brandi Rhodes is coming to TNT. AEW will run the first non-televised “house show” in its history - during WrestleMania week. It’ll be held at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville...on Friday, April 9th. (STINGER: Impact) Impact is moving the date of its Rebellion pay per view to Sunday, April 25th. There was a late change to the Chained Ropes Match promoted for last night’s MLW Fusion. During the show, FILTHY Tom Lawlor pulled out of the match with “suspicious” injury. GM William Regal stripped Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch of the NXT tag titles on Tuesday...after official word came down that Burch suffered a separated shoulder during the main event of last Wednesday’s NXT. Regal is promising to address the tag title situation on tonight’s NXT. Meanwhile, Lorcan is blaming Karrion Kross for Burch’s injury...and those two will meet tonight. Regal is also promising to address the feud between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly...NXT’s social media shared surveillance video Tuesday...showing Cole attacking O’Reilly at Kyle’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu studio. Also tonight, Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon defend the NXT Women’s Tag Titles against Aliyah and Jessi Kamea. The NXT UK Champion WALTER in a non-title match against Drake Maverick. One of WWE’s Cruiserweight Champions Jordan Devlin has a non-title match against Kushida. Plus, Io Shirai and Zoey Stark team up against Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. Batista confirmed Tuesday he will NOT be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania week. Batista was announced as part of last year’s class. But he tweeted Tuesday that “previous obligations” will prevent him from attending the ceremony. He said he still plans to accept his induction at a future date. (STINGER: ROH) An injury to Dragon Lee is forcing Ring Of Honor to shake up the card for its 19th Anniversary pay per view coming up on Friday. ROH announced Tuesday that Lee needed surgery for a ruptured eardrum. That prevents him from traveling by plane. As a result, Kenny King will now step in to defend Lee’s ROH TV Title against HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. Bestia Del Ring will take Lee’s place alongside King to defend the ROH Tag Titles against Williams and Rhett Titus. (STINGER: AEW) , An ankle injury will keep PAC from wrestling on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Taking his place will be Laredo Kid, teaming with the Lucha Bros. against the Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler. Also tonight, Darby Allin defends the TNT Championship against John Silver. Kenny Omega vs. Matt Sydal. If Sydal wins, he’ll get a shot at Omega’s AEW Championship.
