The Young Bucks defend their tag titles against Pac and Rey Fenix. Darby Allin puts the TNT Championship on the line against Matt Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Also tonight...Chris Jericho vs. FTR’s Dax Harwood with Mike Tyson as the special enforcer… Red Velvet vs. Jade Cargill… Kris Statlander’s first match since her ACL injury...against Amber Nova… And Anthony Ogogo makes his AEW in-ring debut. On last night’s Dark - KiLynn King beat Madi Wrenkowski…and Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds beat Ryan Nemeth. (STINGER: WWE) A new Cruiserweight Champion crowned on NXT. Kushida answered Santos Escobar’s open challenge...and pinned him with a roll up. MSK successfully defended their NXT Tag Titles against Drake Maverick and Killian Dane. After the match, Dane and Maverick were attacked by Imperium’s Alexander Wolfe, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner. Isaiah SWERVE Scott beat Leon Ruff. Mercedes Martinez beat Jessie Kamea, got her payoff from Robert Stone and declared she’s going after the NXT Women’s Champ Raquel Gonzalez. Gonzalez was also briefly confronted by Franky Monet - the former Taya Valkyrie. Bronson Reed pinned Austin Theory to win the 8-person mixed tag main event. Roderick Strong handed in his paperwork to Regal...and is apparently resigning from NXT. There was a big mistake during last week’s WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies. The legacy induction video for Ethel Johnson...showed footage of another wrestler. WWE also referred to Johnson as the first African American female wrestler, when her distinction was being the first Black female wrestling champion. Johnson’s family told filmmaker Chris Bourneau they’ve been in contact with WWE and were promised corrections will be made. Johnson’s family also said they did not know she was being inducted until the ceremony aired. Some new details on the toll that storms took on WWE’s production team during WrestleMania weekend. WWE Senior Vice President Duncan Leslie told Sports Video Group “some gear was compromised”, but their crews were ready with spares. Tonight’s MLW Fusion has THREE title matches: Alex Hammerstone defends the National Openweight Championship against Mil Muertes. Los Parks put their Tag Titles on the line against the Dirty Blondes. Plus, the Caribbean Championship on the line - Richard Holliday facing a challenge from Gino Medina. Chris Hero has not wrestled since March of LAST year - deciding to stay on the sidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, but he sounds like he’s growing more anxious to get back in the ring. WWE made it official yesterday - the main event closing tonight’s card will be Sasha Banks defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair. The opening match will be WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defending against Drew McIntyre. Two heavily hyped in-ring debuts. Grammy Award winner Bad Bunny, tagging with Damien Priest against The Miz and John Morrison... And Omos, teaming with AJ Styles, to challenge Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston for the Raw Tag Titles. Also tonight, Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro... Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon in a Steel Cage. And a Tag Team Turmoil Match - Natalya & Tamina vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. the Riott Squad vs. Naomi & Lana vs. Carmella & Billie Kay. Saturday is another busy day for the independent promotions in Tampa for WrestleMania week - including a handful of shows that will go head-to-head with Night 1 of Mania. (STINGER: Impact) We have an Impact Plus exclusive show this afternoon - Hardcore Justice - starting at 3PM Eastern. Here’s what’s on the card: Jazz's CAREER is on the line as she challenges for Deonna Purrazzo’s Knockouts Championship. A Hardcore War: Tommy Dreamer and THREE mystery partners vs. Violent By Design: Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner and Rhino. A #1 Contender Knockouts Weapons Match: Alisha vs. Rosemary vs. Havok vs. Tenille Dashwood vs. Susan vs. Jordynne Grace. X-Division Champ Ace Austin, TJP and Josh Alexander each must find a partner for a 3-way tag team match. Brian Myers vs. Jake Something in a Hardcore Blindfold Match. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night’s New Japan Strong...FOUR first round matches in the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup tournament. Brody King beat Chris Dickinson. Kevin Kelly during commentary did acknowledge King and Dickinson’s new alliance in Ring Of Honor. Hikuleo used a pre-match ambush to grab an early advantage over Fred Rosser, but that did not lead to an easy win. This was a hard-hitting contest that Hikuleo eventually won. FILTHY Tom Lawlor choked out Ren Narita. And Lio Rush beat Clark Connors. Semifinals next week: King vs. Rush...and Hikuleo vs. Lawlor. (STINGER: AEW) AEW ran its first-ever non-televised event last night. And fans at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville got to see the AEW debut of Konosuke Takeshita. He tagged with Kenny Omega, Michael Nakazawa and the Young Bucks. Takeshita is only 25 years old, but he’s already held multiple titles in his home promotion DDT Pro. This appears nothing more than a short visit to the U.S. DDT Pro announced early last week that Takeshita would be away from the promotion this month. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight’s SmackDown is the final stop before WrestleMania...and there are a couple Mania-worthy matches on tonight’s. There’s a FATAL 4-Way for the SmackDown Tag Titles. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode defending against...Rey & Dominik Mysterio...Chad Gable & Otis...and the Street Profits. Also, the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is on tonight’s SmackDown. 22 participants are announced for that match - including Shinsuke Nakamura, Jey Uso and King Corbin. Night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver last night. Kyle O’Reilly was battered, bruised, but victorious in his Unsanctioned Match against Adam Cole. O’Reilly wrapped his leg in a steel chain and then dropped it onto Cole from the top rope...while Cole was draped over an open, upside-down steel chair. Cole appeared to have O’Reilly beaten with the Panama Sunrise earlier in the match. The only problem was that Cole deliberately knocked out the referee just moments earlier. Karrion Kross reclaimed the NXT Championship he was forced to relinquish due to injury - beating Finn Balor last night. Kross is now an undefeated, 2-time champion in NXT. Johnny Gargano needed not one - but TWO - Final Beats to pin Bronson Reed...and hold onto the North American Title. Santos Escobar beat Jordan Devlin in a ladder match to unify both men’s Cruiserweight Championships. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon beat Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell to retain the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Drake Maverick and Killian Dain beat Breezango on the pre-show...to become the #1 contenders for MSK’s NXT Tag Titles. Two successful title defenses in back-to-back days for WALTER. On Thursday’s NXT UK Prelude special...he turned away the challenge of Rampage Brown. Tyler Bate earned a shot at A-Kid’s Heritage Cup Title with a win over Noam Dar. Emilia McKenzie and Meiko Satomura beat UK Women’s Champ Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn. McKenzie pinned Dawn with a small package. After the match, Satomura had a staredown with Aoife (EE-fah) Valkyire. It’s another busy day of independent shows around WrestleMania Week in Tampa. GCW’s Spring Break has Joey Janela vs. Chris Dickinson...and Ricky Shane Page vs. Nick Gage. Action Wrestling & Southern Underground Pro have a noontime show with Juice Robinson & David Finlay tagging up against Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini. Deonna Purrazzo is set to defend the Impact Knockouts Championship against Rok-C...on a card promoted by New Texas Pro Wrestling. ICW has a late night show with Lio Rush vs. Low Ki...and Dr. Cube vs. JTG. (STINGER: Impact) We a have FIVE new matches announced for Impact’s Hardcore Justice. That’s an Impact Plus exclusive on Saturday starting at 3PM. A Hardcore War 4-On-4 Tag Match - Violent By Design vs. Tommy Dreamer and three partners who have yet to be revealed. Eric Young’s crew took out WILDCAT Chris Harris on last night’s Impact. Ace Austin, TJP and Josh Alexander also need partners for a 3-Way Tag at Hardcore Justice. Those three are also set for a 3-Way Singles match at the Rebellion pay-per-view...with Austin’s X-Division Title on the line. Also added to Hardcore Justice… Mahabali Shera vs. Hernandez in a Chairs Match. Doc Gallows vs. Black Taurus. AND Jake Something and Brian Myers in a Hardcore Blindfold Match. On last night’s Impact, Myers finally accepted Cardona’s challenge for a match...at Rebellion. Impact was in its new Thursday night time slot last night...with AEW Champ Kenny Omega in the main event. He and the Good Brothers fell to Impact Champ Rich Swann, Willie Mack and Eddie Edwards. Swann pinned Karl Anderson. Moments earlier, Swann appeared to have Omega pinned, but Don Callis interrupted the referee’s count. Also last night, Trey Miguel decided to tag up with Sami Callihan, and together they beat XXXL. Pete Dunne opened the show with a win over Kushida. On the pre-show, Zoey Stark upset Toni Storm. We mentioned WALTER’s win over Ciampa last night. We’ll see WALTER in action again today - another defense of his UK Title...against Rampage Brown. That’s the main event of the NXT UK Prelude special. Also on that show...Tyler Bate vs. Noam Dar. WWE President Nick Khan says there are big expectations for WrestleMania on Peacock...following the success of Fastlane.. (Nick Khan Fastlane Subs) Nick Khan speaking on The Colin Cowherd Podcast. A few more notes from that interview. Nick Khan said Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch will both be returning to WWE in the not-too-distant future. He said WWE sees potential for growth in Latin America, specifically Mexico...and he said once WWE goes back on tour, “There’s no going back.” Bayley was asked why she does NOT appear to have anything to do at WrestleMania. (Bayley No Mania Match) Bayley speaking with TalkSport’s Alex McCarthy. (STINGER: AEW) More than a year after the match was first mentioned, AEW will finally deliver “Blood And Guts” - The Inner Circle vs. Pinnacle...on Dynamite...at Daily’s Place...on Wednesday, May 5th. Chris Jericho issued the challenge on last night’s Dynamite. Later, Pinnacle attacked Jericho backstage...and dragged him to the ring. The rest of The Inner Circle were locked in their dressing room. Wardlow was looking to finish off Jericho when Mike Tyson entered the arena. He got some punches in on Shawn Spears. The rest of Pinnacle made a run for it....and then, Tyson and Jericho publicly made amends - following up on their brawl on Dynamite a little less than a year ago. Tyson will be back on next Wednesday’s Dynamite as the special enforcer for a one-on-one match between Jericho and Pinnacle’s Dax Harwood. The Young Bucks couldn’t pull the trigger during the 6-man tag team main event - Matt Jackson spared Kenny Omega multiple times...to the point that their partner Jon Moxley got sick of waiting and hit Omega with a pair of Paradigm Shifts. That’s when the Bucks turned on Moxley and finally sided with Omega and the Good Brothers. Pac and Rey Fenix get their shot at the Bucks’ tag team titles on next Wednesday’s Dynamite. Also next week, Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Matt Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Allin had a successful defense last night against JD Drake. Also last night, Tay Conti beat The Bunny. And Taz offered Christian Cage a spot in Team Taz. This is the first BIG day of independent shows surrounding WrestleMania week in Tampa. Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 6 is tonight...with Barnett vs. Jon Moxley in the main event. The late night For The Culture show has Rich Swann vs. 2 Cold Scorpio...and Lee Moriarty vs. Lio Rush. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles will be defended at WrestleMania. But first, we need a challenger. A Tag Team Turmoil match will decide that on Night 1 of Mania - Naomi & Lana vs. Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad vs. Tamina & Natalya. Those teams were announced on last night’s Raw. WWE’s website listed a fifth team - Carmella & Billie Kay. Anyway, whichever team wins on Night 1 will challenge the champs, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler on Night 2. Raw women’s champion Asuka and her WrestleMania challenger Rhea Ripley were NOT able to coexist last night. They lost to a non-title match to the WWE women’s tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Ripley attacked Asuka during the match, allowing Baszler to PIN Asuka. Drew McIntyre survived a final hurdle on his road to Mania, beating King Corbin. WWE Champ Bobby Lashley warmed up for their showdown with a non-title win over Cedric Alexander. Xavier Woods rolled up AJ Styles for an upset win...and U.S. Champ Riddle pinned Mustafa Ali in another non-title match... WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremonies air tonight on WWE Network and Peacock starting at 8PM. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay is the top man in New Japan. He defeated Kota Ibushi at Sunday’s Sakura Genesis show...to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. After his crowning moment, Ospreay issued a challenge to Kazuchika Okada. Okada answered the call to the ring, but before he could answer Ospreay...Okada was interrupted by Shingo Takagi, who also wants a shot at Ospreay. Ospreay agreed to face Takagi first...then Okada. Ospreay’s United Empire revealed a new member at Sunday’s show: Aaron Henare - the former Toa Henare. He teamed up with Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb to defeat Tetsuya Naito, SANADA and Takagi. Henare pinned SANADA. The Junior Tag Titles also changed hands at Sakura Genesis. Roppongi 3K dethroned El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. YOH debuted a new finisher - the Direct Drive - to pin Kanemaru. This the fifth Junior Tag Title reign for Roppongi 3K. But YOH - who just got back from an ACL tear - wants more. He’s got his eyes on Despy’s singles junior title. Hiroshi Tanahashi and Satoshi Kojima beat Jay White and Bad Luck Fale. Tanahashi pinned Fale. Then, Tanahashi went after White after the match - locking him in the Texas Cloverleaf until White tapped. Tanahashi then accepted White’s challenge for his NEVER Title. In the opening match, Zack Sabre Jr. pinned one half of the heavyweight tag champs, Tanga Loa, to win a 6-man tag. After the match, New Japan Chairman Subabayashi took possession of the Iron Fingers belonging to ZSJ’s tag partner Taichi. Hiromu Takahashi made an appearance at the top of the show, as he joined the commentary team. Takahashi is still out with a shoulder injury. More news from Japan... During the Arcade Anarchy match between Miro & Kip Sabian and Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor...Kris Statlander made a surprise return. She emerged from one of the arcade machines set up around ringside and took out Penelope Ford. Later, Trent made an even more dramatic return...riding into Daily’s Place in his mom’s minivan. Sue was at the wheel. Trent helped turn the tide. Taylor pinned Sabian and the Best Friends reunited, and celebrated alongside Statlander, to end the show. Two weeks after being laid out by MJF’s new crew, The Pinnacle...The Inner Circle returned with a vengeance. They stormed The Pinnacle’s dressing room - which was actually theirs first - and this was a rout. Santana & Ortiz battered and bloodied FTR...Sammy Guevara slammed Shawn Spears’ head in a door...and Chris Jericho dunked MJF’s head in a toilet. The exhibition match between Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall ended in a violent split of the Nightmare Family. Several of Marshall’s students - Nick Comoroto, Aaron Solow and Anthony Ogogo - helped him beat down Cody, Dustin Rhodes, Arn Anderson and Lee Johnson. QT had even more planned with a steel chair, but Red Velvet ran out to save Cody. AEW Champ Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers beat the Lucha Bros. and Laredo Kid. Omega pinned Laredo Kid with the One Winged Angel. After the match, Jon Moxley strolled out to ringside...and the Young Bucks ran out to stand with him. It’ll be Mox and the Bucks vs. Omega and the Good Brothers on next week’s Dynamite. Nyla Rose and The Bunny beat women’s champ Hikaru Shida and Tay Conti. The Bunny cracked Conti with a kendo stick to steal the win. The AEW in-ring debut of Christian Cage was a decisive win over Frankie Kazarian. (STINGER: WWE) Two new matches announced - and details sorted out on a third - for next week’s NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Added to Night 1 - Pete Dunne vs. Kushida. They were part of a Battle Royal main event on last night’s NXT…to decide the participants and the order of entry for an Eliminator Gauntlet match on Night 1 of TakeOver. LA Knight was the winner. So, he’ll enter the gauntlet match last. Isaiah SWERVE Scott and Leon Ruff will be the first two men in the ring - followed by Bronson Reed...Cameron Grimes will be fourth...with Dexter Lumis fifth...and Knight after that. The winner of the gauntlet match on Night 1 of TakeOver gets a shot at Johnny Gargano’s North American Championship on Night 2. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell will challenge Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles on Night 2 of TakeOver. We learned last night that Night 1 of TakeOver not only air live on USA Network, but will be streaming live on Peacock. There were several vignettes during last night’s NXT featuring a dog that looks very much like one owned by Taya Valkyrie. The final vignette ended with the words “See you April 13th” and was signed “Franky”. April 13th is when NXT moves to its new time slot on Tuesdays. Also on last night’s NXT… Cameron Grimes distracted Roderick Strong with an old Undisputed Era armband...and that gave Grimes the opening he needed to take the win. Grimes has been trying to use his vast wealth to acquire the rights to the Undisputed Era name and branding. Strong was set to compete in the Battle Royal main event, but he left the building before that match simply saying he’s “done”. Tian (TEE-ahn) Sha beat Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter - but this was basically Xia Li fighting them by herself. Mei Ying - the mysterious woman who sits on the throne - she didn’t even get up out of her seat until Carter got in her face. At that point, Ying quickly choked out Carter and blew smoke in her face. Then, Li finished off Catanzaro. Today’s NXT UK has Pretty Deadly defending their tag titles against Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan On last night’s MLW Fusion…Jacob Fatu got some outside help from Contra and was able to retain his MLW Heavyweight Championship against Calvin Tankman. MLW announced a partnership with Japan’s Dragon Gate promotion with further details still to come. Adam Pearce announced the decision at the end of last night’s SmackDown. New matches added to Mania during last night’s SmackDown… Seth Rollins and Cesaro will meet on Night 1. Rollins beat Shinsuke Nakamura on last night’s SmackDown. Added to Night 2: Big E defending the Intercontinental Title - once again - against Apollo Crews. Crews did pin Big E to win a 6-man tag last night. Also announced for Night 2 - Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. Zayn promised last night that YouTuber Logan Paul will appear on next Friday’s SmackDown for a red carpet premiere of the trailer for Zayn’s documentary. Also last night...Rey Mysterio pinned one-half of the Smackdown tag champs, Dolph Ziggler. Bianca Belair pinned Natalya with the KOD. Sasha Banks was outside the ring during the match, taunting Belair. At one point, Belair went outside the ring and slapped Banks. After the match, Banks attacked Belair from behind. (STINGER: ROH) Rush is STILL the Ring Of Honor World Champion - but aside from that, it was NOT a very good Friday night for La Faccione Ingobernable. After Rush was victorious over Jay Lethal in the main event of ROH’s 19th Anniversary pay per view...he was confronted by a former challenger - Brody King. Only King did not come alone, and introduced his own group to combat LFI - Tony Deppen, Chris Dickinson and former ROH World Champ Homicide. LFI’s Dragon Lee had an especially tough night - and he wasn’t even at the show. Lee missed the show due to surgery for a ruptured eardrum. So, Kenny King defended Lee’s TV Title in his place - but LOST to HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. The end of the match saw Amy Rose throw the TV title belt into the ring. King and Williams stared at it for sec...but when King went for it, Williams caught him with a piledriver for the win. Later, Bestia Del Ring subbed in for Lee, as he and King defended the ROH tag titles - and LOST to Williams and Rhett Titus. Again, Amy Rose was blamed for the loss...and after the tag match, Bestia Del Ring hit her with a SPEAR! Jonathan Gresham is still the Pure Champion. He submitted Dak Draper with a sleeper that he applied by diving through the ropes and onto Draper. Dak was able to carry Gresham’s weight back into the ring but he was out of “rope breaks” and there was no escape after that. Shane Taylor Promotions successfully defended their 6-man tag titles against the MexiSquad. After the match, Flamita, Bandido and Rey Horus got into an argument. That led to a 3-way match between them on the main show. Bandido pinned Flamita with the 21-plex to win it. Silas Young turned on Josh Woods! He hit Woods with a steel chair and Dalton Castle rolled up Woods for the win. Matt Taven and Vincent brawled through the P.A.L. Hall in Fall River, Massachusetts. The fight ended when a large man pushed both men off a balcony...and through a pair of tables set up below. That large man carried Vincent out of the building. On Twitter, he identified himself as “Dutch”.. EC3 got the handshake he was looking for from Jay Briscoe - but moments later he got a Jay Driller and took the loss. Danhausen won the 4-way during the free first hour of the show. During the show, it was announced that Ring Of Honor will hold a tournament over the summer to crown a new women’s champion. Angelina Love will get a bye in that tournament if she can beat...backstage interviewer Quinn McKay. Rocky Romero was on commentary for the entire main show. At one point, Delirious came out and whispered something into Rocky’s ear. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night’s New Japan Strong… Clark Connors upset TJP in a qualifying match for the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup tournament. Connors was caught in a heel hook, but managed to roll up TJP for the pin. The other qualifying match last night saw Chris Dickinson beat Blake Christian. There are two “tiers” to Mayhem Mania. The 8-match “undercard”, where our players create and make changes to matches, and the SUPERCARD. To reach the SUPERCARD, a match must survive three rounds on the “undercard” without being altered in any way. So far, only one match has made it. MAYHEM MANIA 2021 SUPERCARD Raquel Gonzalez vs. Beth Phoenix (Created by Tina Keys) That’s a pretty darn good match, but we still have a lot of work to do. Not everyone is eligible to use in Mayhem Mania. They must be under a WWE contract or otherwise within WWE’s orbit of influence. Also, everyone comes in their current physical/contractual/etc. state (We are ignoring COVID-19 diagnoses because this is supposed to be a fun diversion, not a reminder of the terrible things happening around us.). Simply put, if Vince McMahon can’t do it, you can’t do it! Other wrestlers are not eligible to use because one of our players has sent them to SPACE JAIL. “Cell numbers” correspond with the numbers on our prize wheel. Every week we spin our prize wheel to give one of the SPACE JAIL inmates a chance to escape. Thankfully, SPACE JAIL remained secure this week. 5 players were invited onto the Wrestling Mayhem Show for the latest round of Mayhem Mania 2021. WALTER is already set to defend the UK Title the following day...against Rampage Brown on the NXT UK Prelude special. New NXT Tag Team Champions will be crowned on Night 1. It’ll be a 3-way for the vacant titles: MSK vs. the Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Legado del Fantasma. Johnny Gargano will defend the North American Championship at TakeOver. Determining his challenger will be...a process. On next week’s NXT there will be a 12-man Battle Royal. The final six men in that match will advance to a Gauntlet Eliminator match on Night 1 of TakeOver. The winner there gets Gargano on Night 2. Night 2 will also see an NXT Cruiserweight Championship Unification Ladder Match between Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin. Two new inductees to the WWE Hall Of Fame announced Wednesday - Kane and The Great Khali. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Champ Kenny Omega opened last night’s Dynamite - snuffing out Matt Sydal’s hopes of earning a title shot, pinning him with the One Winged Angel. Omega returned later in the show...after the Lucha Bros. & Laredo Kid beat the Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler. Omega attacked Laredo Kid. Then, he gave the Bucks one last chance to share a Too Sweet with him. The Bucks refused and walked out. That left Omega alone to suffer a double superkick from the Lucha Bros. Darby Allin pinned John Silver to retain the TNT Championship in last night’s main event. Sting was on hand to keep Dark Order in line. After the match, there was a wild brawl - with Sting, Allin and Dark Order joining forces against Matt Hardy’s faction. Silver tweeted after the show that his “shoulder is messed up”, but the “doctor doesn’t think it’s too serious”. Also last night, Tay Conti upset Nyla Rose - pinning her after hitting her hammerlock DDT. Rose and Vickie Guerrero were poised for a post-match attack, but AEW Women’s Champ Hikaru Shida ran out to even the odds. That’s when The Bunny entered the fray...and attacked Shida and Conti. AEW announced a new reality show starring Cody and Brandi Rhodes is coming to TNT. AEW will run the first non-televised “house show” in its history - during WrestleMania week. It’ll be held at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville...on Friday, April 9th. (STINGER: Impact) Impact is moving the date of its Rebellion pay per view to Sunday, April 25th. There was a late change to the Chained Ropes Match promoted for last night’s MLW Fusion. During the show, FILTHY Tom Lawlor pulled out of the match with “suspicious” injury. Batista confirmed Tuesday he will NOT be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania week. Batista was announced as part of last year’s class. But he tweeted Tuesday that “previous obligations” will prevent him from attending the ceremony. He said he still plans to accept his induction at a future date. (STINGER: ROH) An injury to Dragon Lee is forcing Ring Of Honor to shake up the card for its 19th Anniversary pay per view coming up on Friday. ROH announced Tuesday that Lee needed surgery for a ruptured eardrum. That prevents him from traveling by plane. As a result, Kenny King will now step in to defend Lee’s ROH TV Title against HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. Bestia Del Ring will take Lee’s place alongside King to defend the ROH Tag Titles against Williams and Rhett Titus. (STINGER: AEW) , An ankle injury will keep PAC from wrestling on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Taking his place will be Laredo Kid, teaming with the Lucha Bros. against the Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler. Charlotte had challenged the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka to a title match at WrestleMania...but Charlotte never got an answer. Last night, Rhea Ripley arrived on Raw...challenged Asuka...and Ripley got the title match at Mania. Ripley’s challenge came after Asuka submitted Peyton Royce. More of the WrestleMania card is coming into focus. Randy Orton vs. The Fiend was made official...moments after Orton - who toted a can of gasoline to the ring to “summon” The Fiend - only to be taken down with a Sister Abigail. The Miz will face Bad Bunny one-on-one at Mania. Miz challenged Bad Bunny before he beat Jeff Hardy last night. After the match, Bad Bunny struck Miz from behind with a guitar...and accepted the challenge. Braun Strowman challenged Shane McMahon to a match at Mania...and Shane accepted, adding Braun can pick any match he wants. WWE also locked in SIX matches for Nights 1 and 2 Of Mania Night 1 Lashley vs Drew Banks vs Belair Miz vs Bad Bunny Night 2 Reigns vs Edge Asuka vs Ripley Orton vs. Fiend Last night’s Raw was a tough one for The Hurt Business. Drew McIntyre beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in a 2-on-1 match. As a result, they’re banned from ringside for McIntyre’s match against WWE Champ Bobby Lashley at Mania. Earlier, Alexander and Benjamin helped Lashley beat Sheamus in a non-title match. Lashley wasn’t very happy about that. He was even more upset after they lost to McIntyre. So, Lashley went into the Raw locker room and offered “an opportunity” to anyone who takes out McIntyre. As for Sheamus, he was later interviewed backstage when Riddle interrupted. So, Sheamus attacked him with his own scooter. New details on when WWE’s ThunderDome will need to move out of Tampa’s Tropicana Field. Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba was first to report...WWE’s time at the ballpark will end after a SmackDown taping on April 2nd. That likely means the final Raw and SmackDown episodes before WrestleMania will be pre-recorded. Alba added sources are telling him WWE is expected to keep the ThunderDome in the Tampa area - moving to the University of South Florida’s Yeungling Center. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight’s Impact Wrestling is promoting an appearance by AEW Champion Kenny Omega. Also, TJP gets a chance to win back the X-Division Championship he lost to Ace Austin. Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is in a non-title match against Jazz...and Karl Anderson vs. Eddie Edwards. (STINGER: AEW) On last night’s AEW Dark: Elevation…Ryo Mizunami used the Anaconda Vice to submit LEGIT Leyla Hirsch. Red Velvet and Big Swole beat Madi Wrenkowski and Leva Bates. (STINGER: WWE) Andrade is apparently getting what he wants. WWE announced Sunday night that it’s come to terms on his release. Andrade was a former United States and NXT Champion, but he hadn’t appeared on WWE TV since last October. Roman Reigns is still the Universal Champion, but his win over Daniel Bryan at Fastlane was FAR from conclusive. The end of last night’s main event saw the referee knocked out, putting the special enforcer Edge in the position of officiating the match. Bryan fought off a steel chair attack by Jey Uso. Then, went to hit Reigns, BUT Reigns and Bryan hit Edge instead. Moments later, Bryan got Reigns in the Yes Lock. Reigns was tapping, but Edge didn’t bother checking on Reigns. He just hit Bryan with the chair - hit Reigns too - and then, walked out. Reigns crawled on top of Bryan...a backup referee ran out...and Reigns got the pin. The Fiend is BACK. He emerged in the flesh for the first time since December to help Alexa Bliss defeat Randy Orton. Before Bliss even made her entrance, Orton coughed up some BLACK GOO! After the bell rang, Bliss conjured a wall of flames...and lured Orton around the ring, where a lighting rig nearly fell on him. Back in the ring, Bliss shot a fireball at Orton. It didn’t do much damage. But THEN, a hand reached up through a hole in the ring - followed by more flames! The Fiend then emerged from the hole, sporting a new, charred look that calls back to last December, when Orton lit The Fiend on fire. Anway, The Fiend hit Sister Abigail...and Bliss PINNED Orton. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Dissension between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair cost them the match...as Baszler rolled up Belair for the pin. After the match, Banks chewed out Belair and slapped her in the face. There was a confusing ending to the Intercontinental Title match between Big E and Apollo Crews. Big E appeared to roll up Crews for the pin, but Crews just kept beating up on Big E for a little while longer. Riddle retained his United States Championship by pinning Mustafa Ali. After the match, Ali berated Retribution...and paid the price for it. Reckoning and Slapjack walked out on him...and then, T-Bar and Mace hit Ali with a double chokeslam. Drew McIntyre beat Sheamus in a hard-hitting No Holds Barred Match. Seth Rollins pinned Shinsuke Nakamura. The match between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman announced on last Monday’s Raw did NOT happen. Shane claimed he suffered a knee injury during training. So, Strowman beat Elias instead. The 24/7 Championship changed hands at Fastlane. R-Truth briefly lost it to an Old Spice pitchman. Truth quickly got his baby back afterward. Tonight’s Raw is promoting an appearance by Rhea Ripley The NXT Championship will be defended in the main event of Night 2 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver...coming up on Thursday, April 8th...exclusively on Peacock. (STINGER: AEW) AEW is promoting a “triple main event” for tonight’s Dark: Elevation: LEGIT Leyla Hirsch vs. Ryo Mizunami...Orange Cassidy vs. Ryan Nemeth...and Ethan Page vs. Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay pinned Shingo Takagi on Sunday to win the New Japan Cup tournament. Ospreay’s win means he will challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the Sakura Genesis show on April 4th. Ospreay and Ibushi were face to face at the end of Sunday’s show. That’s when Ospreay shockingly delivered a no-look cutter to his girlfriend Bea Priestley. (Ospreay Attacks Priestley) That clip from New Japan’s social media. Sunday’s show opened with the return of YOH. He’s been out with a torn ACL since last July. YOH said he and his Roppongi 3K teammate SHO want a shot at the Jr. Tag Titles - currently held by El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Nick Aldis is still the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He used an inside cradle to pin Aron Stevens in the main event of Sunday’s Back For The Attack pay per view. Kamille delivered a pair of spears and pinned Thunder Rosa.. to become the #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s NWA Women’s Title. The show also saw the NWA debut of former TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell...who declared she also wants a shot at Deeb. Trevor Murdoch used a Sunset Flip to pin Chris Adonis...and retain his National Heavyweight Championship. Adonis attacked Murdoch after the match. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan’s show on Saturday was interrupted...by an earthquake. A magnitude 7.0...centered just over 30 miles northeast of Sendai...where the show was held. No major damage was reported. There were some minor injuries. In the arena in Sendai, the quake happened during a match. It shook video cameras and rattled lighting fixtures. The match immediately came to a halt. There was a 20 minute delay as the safety of the arena was confirmed. The semifinal matches in the New Japan Cup went on AFTER the earthquake delay. In the main event, Shingo Takagi pinned EVIL. Will Ospreay exploited a leg injury to David Finlay to punch his ticket. The tournament final between Ospreay and Takagi is the main event of Sunday’s show at the same arena that hosted Saturday’s. It’s a rematch of the 2019 Best Of The Super Juniors final, which was won by Ospreay. Also on Sunday’s card...Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi will team up against BULLET CLUB’s Jay White, Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens. Okada, Tanahashi & Ibushi were victorious in a 6-man tag Saturday - the match that was interrupted by the earthquake. There was some tension between all three men during the match. (STINGER: WWE) WWE presents its Fastlane pay per view tonight. The main event has Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan. Edge will be the special enforcer. Apollo Crews challenges Big E for the Intercontinental Championship. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defend the WWE Women’s Tag Titles against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Mustafa Ali gets a shot at Riddle’s United States Championship. Also being promoted for tonight - Randy Orton going one-on-one with Alexa Bliss. Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus in a No Holds Barred Match. And Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. WWE’s website no longer has any mention of a match between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman, which was announced during Monday night’s Raw. Fastlane is the first big test for the WWE Network on Peacock, its new streaming home in the United States. Subscribers still have the option to watch on the “original” network. It’s still up and running through April 4th. A title match announced Saturday for NXT’s big event during WrestleMania week. Io Shirai will defend her women’s title against Raquel Gonzalez on Night 1 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. That will be broadcast on the USA Network on Wednesday, April 7th. Night 2 is exclusive to Peacock. WWE is promoting that Rhea Ripley will appear on Monday’s Raw. The NWA returns to pay per view today with Back For The Attack, starting at 4PM Eastern. Three title matches are on the card: Nick Aldis is defending the Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Aron Stevens in the main event. Trevor Murdoch defends his National Heavyweight Championship against Chris Adonis. And The Pope puts the NWA TV Title on the line against Thom Lattimer. Also on the card...Kamille vs. Thunder Rosa - The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s NWA Worlds Women’s Championship. It must be Mayhem Mania season! Every year, we bring together fans, wrestlers and other folks. Our goal is to construct the BEST WrestleMania card that’s currently possible. Everyone under a WWE contract is eligible to use, as are those who are within the orbit of WWE’s influence. If Vince McMahon can do it, we can do it! If you’re just tuning in, here’s how we got to this point. Mayhem Mania 2021 – Opening Round Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 1 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 2 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 3 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 4 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 5 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 6 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 7 There are two “tiers” to Mayhem Mania. The 8-match “undercard”, where our players create and make changes to matches, and the SUPERCARD. To reach the SUPERCARD, a match must survive three rounds on the “undercard” without being altered in any way. So far, only one match has made it. MAYHEM MANIA 2021 SUPERCARD Raquel Gonzalez vs. Beth Phoenix (Created by Tina Keys) That’s a pretty darn good match, but we still have a lot of work to do. Not everyone is eligible to use in Mayhem Mania. They must be under a WWE contract or otherwise within WWE’s orbit of influence. Also, everyone comes in their current physical/contractual/etc. state (We are ignoring COVID-19 diagnoses because this is supposed to be a fun diversion, not a reminder of the terrible things happening around us.). Simply put, if Vince McMahon can’t do it, you can’t do it! Other wrestlers are not eligible to use because one of our players has sent them to SPACE JAIL. “Cell numbers” correspond with the numbers on our prize wheel. Every week we spin our prize wheel to give one of the SPACE JAIL inmates a chance to escape, and we had an escape just before Round 8. Shane McMahon is now OUT of SPACE JAIL! 5 players were invited onto the Wrestling Mayhem Show for the latest round of Mayhem Mania 2021. Each can make ONE of the following changes to our card: – SWAP one wrestler or team with one in another match on the card or replace them with a wrestler or team not currently on the card – ADD a wrestler or team to an existing match – DELETE a match in its entirety and replace it with a new match using entirely new wrestlers – SUBTRACT an individual from an exisiting match. – MATCH SWAP: This year, we have a designated “cinematic match” slot on our card. A player can choose to swap an existing match on the card for the match currently in that “cinematic match” slot. (STINGER: WWE) WWE has set a new date for the sale of tickets for WrestleMania. They’ll go on sale to the general public...Friday morning at 10AM Eastern. There will also be an exclusive presale for fans who register online. That starts THIS MORNING at 10AM. The Tampa Bay Times reports capacity is set at 25,000 for each of the two nights - about the same as last month’s Super Bowl...and health and safety protocols will be similar to those at the Super Bowl. It’s day one of the “Peacock Era”. WWE Network goes live today on Peacock - its new exclusive home in the United States. The “original” Network will still be up until April 4th. So, Sunday’s Fastlane pay per view will air on both Peacock and the “original” network. Your current WWE Network account will NOT automatically be transferred over to Peacock. WWE is telling network subscribers to “be on the lookout for an email with more specific directions.” Bottom line, if you want to watch WWE Network after April 4th, you will need to sign up for Peacock. WWE has updated the FAQ on its website with info on remaining balances, gift cards, canceled accounts, automatic billing and more. Finn Balor will defend the NXT Championship against Karrion Kross at the two-night Takeover: Stand & Deliver event during WrestleMania week. But WWE did NOT specify whether that match will happen on Night 1 on the USA Network...or the Night 2 show on Peacock. Balor and Kross teamed up in the main event of last night’s NXT - challenging Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for their tag titles. The match ground to a halt after Burch appeared to suffer an injury. He never returned to the match, so Lorcan had to go it alone. Balor accidentally knocked down Scarlett. That was enough for Kross. He turned on Balor..and Lorcan pinned Balor to retain the tag titles. Kross continued to beat up on Balor after the match. NXT UK Champion WALTER made a surprise appearance on last night’s NXT...and laid out Tommaso Ciampa. WWE’s two Cruiserweight Champions came face-to-face. Jordan Devlin confronted Santos Escobar...and they agreed to decide the one, true cruiserweight champ at TakeOver. We should mention quickly - Devlin is set to defend his Cruiserweight Championship on today’s NXT UK...against Trent Seven. Today’s episode has a special start time - of 4PM Eastern. Getting back to last night’s NXT… Kyle O’Reilly was barred from Capital Wrestling Center last night - but sent in a video to vow revenge against Adam Cole. Later, cameras spotted police outside the CAC, with both Cole and O’Reilly in handcuffs. Dexter Lumis beat Austin Theory. NXT Women’s Champ Io Shirai delivered a contract for a title match to Raquel Gonzalez. I assume she’ll sign it. (STINGER: AEW) A brutal, bloody and historic main event on last night’s Dynamite. Dr. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa brought out tables, ladders and even thumbtacks during their Unsanctioned Lights Out - Anything Goes - Match. Dr. Baker was powerbombed onto the tacks...and later, Thunder Rosa drove her through a table at ringside...and got the pin. Penta El Zero Miedo kicked out of the Crossroads and even got in his signature arm breaker on Cody Rhodes, but moments later Rhodes caught Penta with a rollup to steal the pin. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston beat the Good Brothers. After the match, Kenny Omega joined the Good Brothers for a post-match attack. They Pillmanized Kingston’s leg. Then, they set up for another with a steel chair wrapped around Moxley’s HEAD. The Young Bucks ran out to stop them...and even refused a Too Sweet from Omega. MJF’s new faction has a name. The crew that includes Wardlow, FTR, Tully Blanchard and Shawn Spears will be known as...The Pinnacle. Brian Cage broke ranks from Team Taz...to tell Sting he respects him. (STINGER: New Japan) The other half of the New Japan Cup’s “final four” is being decided this morning. It’s Will Ospreay vs. SANADA...and Jay White vs. David Finlay. The semifinal matches are happening Saturday. Warrior Wrestling announced late Wednesday that Kylie Rae will defend that promotion’s women’s title at their show in Chicago on June 5th. It would be Kylie Rae’s first match since she stepped away from pro wrestling last November. David Marquez says he will not be part of the revival of NWA Powerrr starting next Tuesday. Also last night, Dark Order’s #10 was bloodied but victorious against Jack Evans...Madi Wrenkowski beat VertVixen...KiLynn King beat Jazmin Allure. After main eventing Monday’s debut episode of Dark: Elevation...Maki Itoh tweeted she’s heading back to Japan...and there are no plans for when she may return to AEW TV. AEW officially rescheduled upcoming live events in Philadelphia, Boston and Rochester, New York for later this year. (STINGER: Impact) The Good Brothers want their rematch for the Impact Tag Team Championships sooner rather than later...but they’ll have to settle for “later”. During last night’s Impact, Juice Robinson and David Finlay announced they won’t be back from Japan until next month. Scott D’Amore made the tag title rematch official for Impact’s Rebellion pay per view on April 24th. Before Rebellion...there will be another Impact Plus exclusive show. Hardcore Justice is happening on April 10th - Yes, the same day as Night 1 of WrestleMania. Getting back to last night’s Impact, Sami Callihan pinned Trey Miguel after hitting a package piledriver in the main event. Rhino pinned Jake Something after hitting Gore on him...after Something got distracted by Violent By Design brawling at ringside with James Storm and Chris Sabin. Rohit Raju rolled up Mahabali Shera and pinned him with his feet on the ropes. (STINGER: ROH) TWO more title matches announced for ROH Anniversary PPV. Jonathan Gresham defends the Pure Title against Dak Draper. Also, Dragon Lee and Kenny King putting the ROH Tag Titles on the line against Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus. (STINGER: WWE) Today was supposed to be the day - but instead, WWE announced last night that the ticket sales for WrestleMania are on hold - being moved as “plans for the event are still being finalized.” WWE is promising to announce a new on-sale date within the next week. This didn’t prevent WWE from announcing TWO title matches for WrestleMania during last night’s Raw. One of the main events is set - Bobby Lashley defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. Also announced for Mania - The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will defend the Raw Tag Titles they just won from The Hurt Business on last night’s Raw. They’ll be challenged by AJ Styles and Omos, who’ll be making his in-ring debut at WrestleMania. We got some matches made for Fastlane coming up on Sunday. McIntyre will face Sheamus. McIntyre submitted The Miz with The Hurt Lock on last night’s Raw. Sheamus lost to Lashley in the Raw main event. Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman were set for a match last night, but Shane used a video camera to get the jump on Braun...and got him in position to hit his elbow drop from the top rope through the announce table. Then, Shane dumped GREEN GOO on Braun. Shane and Braun are now set for a rematch at Fastlane. Alexa Bliss issued a challenge to Randy Orton, and WWE says those two will go one-on-one at Fastlane. Also last night, Riddle retained the United States Championship against Mustafa Ali. Women’s Champion Asuka returned to Raw...snuck in a pin on Shayna Baszler...and then continued to beatdown after the match...as she sought vengeance for the kick to the face from Baszler that put her out of action. Bad Bunny relinquished the 24/7 Championship to R-Truth Later, Bad Bunny was laid out in the ring by a guitar shot from The Miz. (STINGER: AEW) Tony Khan announced Monday that LEGIT Leyla Hirsch has officially signed with AEW.
