(STINGER: WWE) WWE will hold SummerSlam in Las Vegas...at Allegiant Stadium - the home of Raiders! It’ll be the largest venue to host the event since London’s Wembley Stadium...all the way back in 1992. The stadium can hold as many as 72,000 fans. The date for the show was already set for Saturday, August 21st. Police are searching for a man who broke into the home of the ThunderDome - the University of South Florida’s Yuengling Center. Police shared security camera images - showing an unidentified man stealing several items - a gym bag and what appears to be a title belt. The United States Champion Sheamus shared a picture of himself in the hospital over the weekend - apparently, he needed surgery to repair facial injuries he suffered last Monday. It’s not clear how much time he’ll miss - if any. The next challengers for the Raw Tag Team Titles could be decided tonight. There will be a Tag Team Battle Royal. Five teams will be involved: Randy Orton & Riddle...Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods...the Viking Raiders...the Lucha House Party...and T-Bar & Mace. The winner gets to challenge AJ Styles & Omos. Also on tonight’s Raw...WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre will sign the contract for their title match at Hell In A Cell. And Shayna Baszler returns to Alexa’s Playground (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan has its Dominion show this morning. The main event is Kazuchika Okada vs. Shingo Takagi for the vacant IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Plus, El Desperado defends the Jr. Title against YOH...and Kota Ibushi vs. Jeff Cobb. Keiji Muto’s reign as the top man in Pro-Wrestling NOAH is over. He lost the GHC Heavyweight Title to Naomichi Marufuji...in the main event of Sunday’s Cyber Fight Festival. (STINGER: AEW) At least ten matches are announced for tonight’s Dark: Elevation. The Varsity Blondes battle Ryan Nemeth & JD Drake. Former AEW Women’s Champ Hikaru Shida returns to action against Diamante. The Acclaimed vs. Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds & Alan “5” Angels. Mark Sterling will be in the corner of Jade Cargill as she faces Rache Chanel. AEW announced another live date - in Charlotte - on Wednesday, July 28th. Tickets go on sale Friday. There’s a new NWA World Women’s Champion. Kamille pinned Serena Deeb to win the gold at Sunday’s When Our Shadows Fall pay per view. Nick Aldis managed to hang on to the Worlds Heavyweight Championship - but this one was controversial. Trevor Murdoch locked Aldis in a submission hold after delivering some shots with a steel chair. The referee called for the bell, but it was NOT a submission win for Murdoch. It was a disqualification victory for Aldis. Tyrus used a foreign object to win a non-title match against the NWA TV Champion Da Pope. Kylie Rae made her NWA debut. She and Taryn Terrell beat Thunder Rosa and Melina. Rae rolled up Melina for the pin. It was stated during the broadcast that Rae has signed a contract with the NWA. Sunday’s GCW show ended with Nick Gage being attacked by a masked man...who hit Gage with a double-arm DDT...and then revealed himself to be...Matt Cardona! He appeared live during a special Friday Night Dynamite last night...standing alongside Vickie Guerrero. QT Marshall & Anthony Ogogo beat Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson. QT pinned Cody after Ogogo delivered a right hand to Cody’s jaw. Dustin Rhodes beat Nick Comoroto in a Bullrope Match - hitting a bulldog from the second rope and then tying up Comoroto’s legs to get the pin. The Young Bucks opened the show with a win over Pac & Penta El Zero Miedo. Pac was rolled up for the pin after interference by Brandon Cutler. The Bucks’ plans for a post-match beatdown were interrupted by Eddie Kingston. Jungle Boy & Christian Cage beat Private Party. After the match, Matt Hardy dropped Christian with a Twist Of Fate on the entrance ramp. Red Velvet served up Just Desserts to beat The Bunny. Miro will defend the TNT Championship on Dynamite next Friday night...against Dark Order’s Evil Uno. Jake Hager challenged Wardlow to an MMA Cage Fight on Dynamite in two weeks. Kenny Omega will defend the AEW Championship against Jungle Boy on a special Saturday Night Dynamite on June 26th. (STINGER: WWE) The location of SummerSlam will be revealed on Saturday. It’ll be announced during the Belmont Stakes pre-race show on NBC. We already know the show is set to be held on Saturday, August 21st. Bayley will get another shot at Bianca Belair’s SmackDown Women’s Title at Hell In A Cell. Belair challenged Bayley on last night’s SmackDown...and Bayley accepted. We got not one - but TWO - SmackDown Tag Title matches last night! The show opened with Rey & Dominik Mysterio beating The Usos to retain the gold. Dominik reversed Jimmy Uso’s top rope splash into a roll-up. Jimmy actually kicked out, but the ref was out of position and made the 3-count. That led to The Usos getting another shot at the tag belts in the main event. That match ended with Roman Reigns running in to cause a disqualification. Reigns battered Rey & Dominik with the ring steps after the match. That was too much for Jimmy. He walked out on Roman...but Jey was conflicted as the show ended. Apollo Crews pinned Kevin Owens after a Death Valley Driver on the ring apron to retain the Intercontinental Title. Owens was weakened before the match by a backstage attack by Commander Azeez. Sami Zayn showed up after the match to beat up on Owens a little more. King Corbin pinned Shinsuke Nakamura. It appeared Corbin had taken back his stolen crown too. But his escape was cut off by Rick Boogs...and Nakamura made off with the crown yet again. Also last night, Carmella beat Liv Morgan. (STINGER: ROH) HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams is recovering...after he was hit by a car. He tweeted a picture Friday, showing himself in a neck brace. He said he’ll be okay...but didn’t elaborate on his prognosis. Williams is one-half of the Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champions alongside Rhett Titus. They have a title defense against Dragon Lee and Kenny King coming up on next weekend’s ROH TV. Presumably, that match already happened during the last ROH TV taping. The NWA’s When Our Shadows Fall pay per view is coming up on Sunday. Nick Aldis defends the Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Trevor Murdoch. Also set for tonight’s show...an NXT Tag Title match: MSK defending against Legado Del Fantasma. Drew McIntyre will get another shot at WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and he’ll get it at Hell In A Cell. McIntyre secured the #1 Contendership by beating Kofi Kingston in the main event of last night’s Raw. AJ Styles and Omos are still the Raw Tag Team Champions. Elias bailed on his partner Jaxson Ryker during the match...and Ryker was pinned by Styles soon after that. When asked for an explanation, Elias simply said he doesn’t want to be around Ryker anymore. The U.S. Champ Sheamus lost a pair of non-title matches. Ricochet rolled up and pinned Sheamus after Sheamus was distracted by Humberto Carrillo making his entrance during the match. Carrillo immediately had his own match against Sheamus...and Carrillo also rolled up Sheamus for the pin...thanks to a distraction by Ricochet. Reginald PINNED Shayna Baszler…with a rollup. Shayna was in control until fire erupted from one of the ring posts…and Reggie was able to take advantage. Later, Reggie was a guest in Alexa’s Playground...where Shayna attacked him from behind. Alexa Bliss informed Shayna that Lilly “really doesn’t like her”. Shayna said she and Alexa will have “a chat” next week...and informed Lilly that she’s “just a stupid doll”. Nikki Cross survived another Beat The Clock Challenge, this time against Charlotte Flair. Randy Orton pinned Xavier Woods with the Bro Derek. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke beat Naomi & Lana...as the WWE Women’s Tag Champs Natalya and Tamina looked on. Cedric Alexander went after the eyes of Shelton Benjamin to open the door for him to hit the Neuralyzer and get the pin. Mace & T-Bar beat the Lucha House Party. (STINGER: AEW) On last night’s Dark: Elevation… Nyla Rose & The Bunny beat Red Velvet & Big Swole. Rose rolled up Swole after a cheap shot from The Bunny. He’ll replace Adnan Virk, who parted ways with WWE this week. WWE announced three new dates and cities for its return to live touring this summer: SmackDown will be at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on July 23rd. Raw will be in Kansas City, Missouri...at the T-Mobile Center on July 26th. And SmackDown will be at the Target Center in Minneapolis on July 30th. Today’s NXT UK has Nathan Frazer vs. Sha Samuels. (STINGER: AEW) The Double Or Nothing card is set. But on Wednesday, we got a new match announced for the Buy-In pre-show. Serena Deeb will defend her NWA Women’s World Championship against Riho. Chris Jericho says Eric Bischoff will appear on Friday night’s episode of Dynamite...to host the “Celebration Of The Inner Circle”. Cody Rhodes told Comicbook.com he’s “99% sure” the TNT Championship will remain the TNT Championship - after AEW’s weekly TV shows move to TBS next year. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay shared an update on the injuries that apparently forced him to relinquish the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. On Twitter he said he’s “being referred for another MRI on my lower back as well for fears I may have the same issue in my neck. Things ain’t looking good, but I’m determined to comeback this year.” As for reports and rumors of “gaijin unrest” in New Japan...Tama Tonga isn’t really buying it. (Tama Gaijin Unrest) That clip from the new episode of the Tama’s Island podcast. El Desperado confirmed Wednesday that he was one of the New Japan wrestlers to test positive for COVID-19 this month. Kazuchika Okada and Taichi also confirmed their positive tests earlier this week. Okada made a surprise appearance at the start of Wednesday’s New Japan card at Korakuen Hall. He said he’s going after the vacant IWGP World Title. The main event on that show saw Tetsuya Naito & SANADA beat Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI. After the match, Naito issued a challenge for the NEVER 6-Man Titles held by Goto, YOSHI-HASHI and Tomohiro Ishii. Goto accepted. No word yet on a date for that title match. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight’s Impact Wrestling has the Impact debut of a legendary name in Japanese wrestling - former IWGP Heavyweight Champ Satoshi Kojima. Dunne spoiled Bobby Fish’s return from injury last night. He pinned Fish with the Bitter End. Oney Lorcan beat up on Fish after the match. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon beat the NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai. Moon pinned Kai...but Gonzalez laid out both Moon and Blackheart after the match. Mercedes Martinez beat Zayda Ramier. But her post-match celebration was interrupted by smoke and lighting effects. When it was over...Martinez had a mark on her hand - implying she’s being targeted by Tian Sha. Santos Escobar made it clear that he wants to be the first to challenge the new North American Champion Bronson Reed. Nick Aldis will defend his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against...Trevor Murdoch. That’ll happen at the next NWA pay per view “When Our Shadows Fall”...coming up on June 6th. Murdoch earned the title shot by winning a battle royal on last night’s Powerrr. Aldis’ cohort Chris Adonis relinquished the NWA National Title so he could enter the battle royal - but he ended up being the last man eliminated by Murdoch. The heavily hyped showdown between Thunder Rosa and Kamille...ended in a draw. So, that’s good news for Rosa. The result means she can continue to wrestle outside the NWA. BUT we still do not have a #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s Women’s Championship. Aron Stevens & Kratos beat Jax Dane & Crimson to retain their NWA Tag Titles after a mystery man attacked Crimson. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor unveiled the field and the brackets for its upcoming Survival Of The Fittest tournament. The first-round matches on the left side of the bracket are: Rey Horus vs. Flamita...Eli Isom vs. Dak Draper...and Bandido vs. Bateman. On the right side of the bracket, the first-round matches are: Brian Johnson vs. Sledge...Chris Dickinson vs. O’Shay Edwards...and Danhausen vs. Rhett Titus. The winners all advance to a 6-Way Elimination Match...and the winner gets a shot at the ROH World Championship. The tournament begins in two weeks. (STINGER: AEW) The simmering issues between Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss may be coming to a head. Kiss was beaten by Brian Cage in the main event of last night’s AEW Dark. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT Championship is on the line tonight. Former champ Finn Balor gets his rematch against Karrion Kross. Also being promoted for tonight, Bobby Fish’s first match since his return from injury. He’s set to face Pete Dunne. Plus, Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai vs. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon...the NXT in-ring debut of Franky Monet...and Cameron Grimes faces off with Ted DiBiase. Less than a week after he was released by WWE, the former Velveteen Dream - Patrick Clark - posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram. Clark said his termination was the result of Speaking Out accusations against him...that surfaced more than a year ago. Clark gave a detailed account of his version of the events involving two of his accusers...calling their stories “baseless and untrue.” Charlotte Flair will get her one-on-one match against Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women’s Championship...and it will happen at Hell In A Cell. That match was announced on last night’s Raw...not long after Charlotte used a cradle to pin Asuka. As for Ripley, she technically lost a Beat The Clock match to Nikki Cross...who survived two minutes against Ripley without being beaten. It was Charlotte who goaded Ripley into taking the match. Natalya & Tamina are still the WWE Womens’ Tag Team Champions. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, appeared to be in position to take back the titles...but Reginald chose the wrong moment to jump up onto the apron. Baszler told Reggie to get lost...but as he walked up the ramp fire erupted from the stage. That distracted Baszler and allowed Natalya to grab a small package and get the pin. Baszler was fuming at Reginald after the match. She grabbed him and demanded he face her one-on-one in a match on next week’s Raw. Also set for next Monday...Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston. The winner will get the shot at WWE Champ Bobby Lashley at Hell In A Cell. They actually tried to do McIntyre vs. Kingston - with the same stakes - on last night’s Raw...but Lashley and MVP got involved and the referee threw the match out. Sheamus used a handful of tights to pin Humberto Carrillo. Sheamus tried to beat up Carrillo some more after the match, but Ricochet ran out to make the save. Riddle faced off against Xavier Woods...and it was Riddle getting the win...pinning Woods with the RKO. Jaxson Ryker pinned AJ Styles after outside interference from Elias. Cedric Alexander pinned Shelton Benjamin. (STINGER: New Japan) The latest New Japan wrestler to confirm he tested positive for COVID-19 is Taichi. He told Tokyo Sports he started feeling sick after performing at the Wrestling Dontaku shows. Taichi said his symptoms were mild. Meanwhile, some news that could impact foreign talent looking to wrestle in Japan. The U.S. State Department issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory for the country...citing a “very high level of COVID-19 in the country”. (STINGER: AEW) We have a handful of matches announced for tonight’s AEW Dark: Brian Cage vs. Sonny Kiss...Dark Order’s “10” vs. Dillon McQueen...and Nick Comoroto vs. Duke Davis. Some familiar faces to fans of New Japan on last night’s Dark: Elevation. Ren Narita pinned Royce Isaacs with his bridging belly-to-belly suplex. And Rocky Romero pinned JD Drake with a cradle. The Wingmen tried to jump Romero after the match...but Best Friends - including Romero’s former tag partner Trent - ran out for the save. The show ended with them reunited as their old Roppongi Vice theme played. Tonight’s NWA Powerrr is being promoted as a “season finale”...with some big matches, including the one between Thunder Rosa and Kamille. The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s NWA Women’s World Championship. There are added stakes for Thunder Rosa. If she loses, the Forbidden Door for her, is closed and locked. (STINGER: New Japan) Many fans probably assumed this on their own... but now, Kazuchika Okada confirms he is one of at least 7 New Japan wrestlers who tested positive for COVID-19 over the last month. In an interview with “Radio Oshabering”, Okada said he initially tested negative...after being pulled from the second Wrestling Dontaku show on May 4th. But after his fever persisted and he continued to feel unwell...he got another test and that one was positive. Okada said he’s feeling better. New Japan is running three straight dates at Korakuen Hall starting Monday. Okada is not scheduled to appear on any of those shows. COVID-19 concerns are impacting other promotions in Japan. The show opened with Zoey Stark taking on Toni Storm. Stark KICKED OUT of Storm Zero...so Toni unveiled a new finisher - that I’m not sure I can adequately describe...but I’ll try. It was sort of a 3.0 backbreaker into a DDT. Anyway...it worked. Storm got the pin. It appears Alexander Wolfe is OUT of Imperium. Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner put the boots to Wolfe after he lost to Killian Dane. Legado Del Fantasma beat Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher. Ciampa took the pin after he was attacked by the Grizzled Young Veterans. Legado Del Fantasma will challenge MSK for the NXT Tag Titles in TWO weeks. Jake Atlas used a rollup to score an upset win on Cameron Grimes. Grimes was distracted when Ted DiBiase entered the arena. Bobby Fish challenged Pete Dunne to a match next week. Billy Corgan dropped the hammer on Strictly Business on last night’s NWA Powerrr. Corgan STRIPPED Chris Adonis and Thom Lattimer of their shot at the NWA Tag Team Championship. This is the result of them walking out on their scheduled title match last week. Also, Corgan FINED the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champ Nick Aldis for orchestrating the walkout. So, there was a match to determine new Tag Title #1 Contenders last night. Jax Dane and Crimson beat Parrow and Odinson. Also on last night’s show...Da Pope successfully defended the NWA TV Title against Matt Cross. Dragon Gate has pulled both Ben-K and Naruki Doi from its King Of Gate tournament, forfeiting their remaining matches. This came after confirmation that Ben-K tested positive for COVID-19. (STINGER: WWE) New SmackDown Tag Team Champions crowned at WrestleMania Backlash. Rey & Dominik Mysterio dethroned Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode last night. They are the first father-son tag team champions in WWE history. Rey had to go it alone for much of this match...after Ziggler and Roode attacked Dominik backstage. But Dominik returned at the end and got the pin on Roode. That was the only title change last night. Roman Reigns choked out Cesaro to retain his Universal Championship. Seth Rollins showed up after the match to beat up on Cesaro. Bobby Lashley is still the WWE Champion. Drew McIntyre put Lashley through part of the stage set during the 3-Way Title Match. But Lashley emerged just in time to SPEAR Braun Strowman and pin him. Rhea Ripley dispatched Charlotte Flair long enough to hit Asuka with the Riptide and pin her to retain her Raw Women’s Championship. Bianca Belair used a rollup to pin Bayley and retain her SmackDown Women’s Title. Damian Priest beat The Miz in a Lumberjack Match. The lumberjacks...were zombies. True story. On the kickoff show, Ricochet answered Sheamus’ U.S. Title open challenge...and lost. BUT Ricochet did steal Sheamus’ hat and jacket after the match and ran away. The next pay per view is Hell In A Cell on Sunday, June 20th. NXT is now promoting that Ted DiBiase will appear in-person at the Capitol Wrestling Center on Tuesday night’s show. (STINGER: Impact) FinJuice will defend their Impact Tag Team Championships on Thursday night’s Impact Wrestling. The challengers will be Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. They won a 4-Way #1 Contenders Match on Saturday night’s Under Siege show. The new #1 Contender for Kenny Omega’s Impact World Championship is Moose. He won a 6-Way Match at Under Siege. Moose will challenge Omega at Against All Odds. That’s an Impact Plus exclusive show on Saturday, June 12. The Good Brothers took out Sami Callihan during Saturday’s #1 Contender’s Match. Earlier, Omega and the Good Brothers lost a 6-Man Tag to FinJuice and Eddie Edwards at Under Siege. Edwards pinned Karl Anderson. Fire n’ Flave reclaimed the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. They dethroned Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. Tasha Steelz pinned Grace. Josh Alexander submitted El Phantasmo to retain his X-Division Championship. Deonna Purrazzo submitted Havok to hang onto her Knockouts Championship. W. Morrissey beat Willie Mack...and continued the beating after the match until Rich Swann ran out to save Mack. Brian Myers pinned Black Taurus. Taylor Wilde & Tenille Dashwood beat Kimber Lee & Susan. Wilde pinned Susan. (STINGER: AEW) At least 15 matches announced for tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation. Dustin Rhodes faces Aaron Solow. Private Party go up against Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds & Alan “5” Angels. Plus, The Bunny vs. KiLynn King...and Joey Janela vs. Daniel Garcia. Jon Moxley showed up at GCW’s Draft Day show over the weekend...to confront and brawl with Nick Gage. Gage had just defeated AJ Gray to retain his GCW Championship. Another Japanese promotion is dealing with COVID-19 concerns. Dragon Gate pulled Ben-K, Naruki Doi and Dragon Dia from shows over the weekend. Dragon Gate announced Ben-K and Dragon Dia were found to have slight fevers. Dragon Gate said it’s awaiting test results on all three before allowing them to return to action. All this is happening in the middle of their King Of Gate tournament. It’ll cost Doi at least one match. He was forced to forfeit his tournament match against Kota Minoura. A fearless, aggressive and controversial performer…New Jack is not easy to summarize. He was a constant during the peak of ECW”s national popularity. He was also involved in some of the most notorious incidents of pro wrestling’s past quarter-century. New Jack rose to national fame in ECW during violent, weapons-filled matches. He won the ECW Tag Team Championship on three occasions. After the collapse of ECW, New Jack wrestled for another 20 years - including a brief run during the early years of TNA. After the match, Team Filthy TURNED on Dickinson. This is in retaliation for Dickinson publicly challenging Lawlor to defend the Strong Openweight Championship against him. Dickinson eliminated Clark Conners to seal the win. Conners is a Young Lion no more. He debuted new ring gear and his own entrance theme. That’s the result of his loss to Kenny Williams on Thursday’s show. A match between Ilja Dragunov and Dave Mastiff ended in a referee stoppage after an elbow from Dragunov struck Mastiff square in the nose. Also, Trent Seven pinned Saxon Huxley, thanks in part to a timely distraction from Sam Gradwell. Next week, there will be a #1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match for a shot at Kay Lee Ray’s UK Women's title: Isla Dawn vs. Jinny vs. Xia Brookside vs. Emilia McKenzie vs. Dani Luna. Another wrestler, Amale (uh-MEL), was not happy she was left out of this. She attacked Brookside during Thursday’s show. (STINGER: ROH) This weekend’s Ring Of Honor TV has the ROH in-ring debut of backstage broadcaster Quinn McKay. She’ll face Angelina Love. If McKay wins, she is IN the upcoming ROH Women’s Title Tournament. Also on the show, The Briscoes vs. EC3 and Flip Gordon...and Brian Johnson will issue an open challenge. (STINGER: Impact) The final three participants are now set for a #1 Contender’s match for Kenny Omega’s Impact World Championship. The qualifying matches went down last night. Moose beat James Storm. Trey Miguel submitted Rohit Raju. And Chris Sabin got past Rhino. They’ll join Sami Callihan, Matt Cardona and Chris Bey in the 6-Way #1 Contender’s Match at Under Siege. The COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan is being extended...and expanded. The country’s Prime Minister is pushing the end date through the end of May. The state of emergency covers areas in and around Tokyo and Osaka...with Aichi and Fukuoka now added to the list. Some of the restrictions on businesses are expected to be eased. The encouraging news for pro wrestling companies in Japan is that the ban on spectators at large sporting events will be scaled back. Attendance will be capped at 5,000 people - or 50% of the venue’s capacity. That would be good news for pro wrestling companies, including New Japan - which has a major show in Tokyo Dome on May 29th. Salina de la Renta is leaving MLW. Her final appearance was on last Wednesday’s Fusion...when she crossed paths on-screen with the “El Jefe” of Azteca Underground. The man known in Lucha Underground as “Dario Cueto” will get a new name, according to MLW’s Court Bauer. (Bauer On Cueto Name) Bauer speaking with Post Wrestling’s John Pollock. Bauer says the deal with actor Luis Fernandez-Gil will keep him with MLW “for many years to come”. Bauer was asked about reports of recent talks between MLW and WWE, but he declined to comment. The challenger for Kenny Omega’s AEW Championship will be decided on next week’s Dynamite...when the top two ranked contenders go one-on-one: Pac vs. Orange Cassidy. Earlier, Omega bailed on his partner MT Nakazawa...and he took the pin to lose a tag match to Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. Miro announced he will challenge Darby Allin for the TNT Championship next week. Earlier, Allin was thrown down a flight of concrete stairs by Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky. SCU will get their shot at the Young Bucks’ tag titles next week. They won a 4-Way last night to secure that match. Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian stated months ago...that their next loss will mean the end for them as a team. Cody Rhodes submitted QT Marshall with the Figure Four. Anthony Ogogo put down Cody with a single punch to gut after the match. AEW’s Tony Khan told Busted Open Radio he expects full capacity at Daily’s Place for Double Or Nothing. That would be around 5,000 fans. “El Jefe” was finally revealed on last night’s MLW Fusion. It is indeed former Lucha Underground figurehead Dario Cueto leading Azteca Underground. He appeared in a prerecorded vignette at the very end of the show...having a chat with the recently abducted Salina de la Renta. (Cueto MLW Reveal) That clip from last night’s Fusion. Cueto went on to say he’d “see you” at MLW’s show in Philadelphia on July 10th. Another major development on last night’s Fusion - Myron Reed reclaimed the MLW Middleweight Championship - avenging his title loss to Lio Rush. MLW retconned Rush’s “phantom” AAA Cruiserweight Title win over Laredo Kid from weeks ago - a win that’s not recognized by AAA. (STINGER: New Japan) TWO New Japan wrestlers have tested positive for COVID-19. The company confirmed that late Tuesday night. It says those individuals are “mildly ill”. Their names are NOT being released. New Japan says other wrestlers and staff who were in contact with the individuals are being monitored...and tested. The COVID-19 concerns began just before the second Wrestling Dontaku show on Tuesday. That’s when New Japan announced two wrestlers had developed fevers. New Japan canceled El Desperado’s scheduled Junior Heavyweight Title defense against YOH. It also pulled a tag match where Kazuchika Okada & SHO were set to face Minoru Suzuki & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Again, the names of the wrestlers who tested positive for COVID are NOT being released. We should also point out that the Wrestle Grand Slam show at Yokohama Stadium is 10 days away. Turning our attention back to the wrestling ring, Will Ospreay successfully defended his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, pinning Shingo Takagi in a nearly 45-minute main event on Tuesday. (STINGER: AEW) More than a year after AEW first announced “Blood & Guts”...the match will finally happen tonight on Dynamite. The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle will do battle under traditional “Wargames” rules. Also tonight, there’s a 4-way tag team match for a shot at the Young Bucks’ tag tiles - SCU vs. Jurassic Express vs. the Varsity Blondes vs. The Acclaimed. Kenny Omega & MT Nakazawa go up against Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston. Cody Rhodes vs. QT Marshall. Plus, Dr. Britt Baker in action...and Miro will appear. On last night’s Dark...Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & Alex Reynolds beat the team of JD Drake, Cezar Bononi & Ryan Nemeth. (STINGER: WWE) Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell are the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. They dethroned Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon in a Street Fight last night. The show opened with Isaiah “SWERVE” Scott beating Leon Ruff in a Falls Count Anywhere match. SWERVE had some backup - a new faction that includes Ashante Adonis, Briana Brandy...and AJ Francis - who’s been seen on WWE’s Hidden Treasures show on A&E. Francis took out Ruff at the end of the match. The former Anthony Henry made his NXT debut under his new name, Asher Hale. He lost to Cameron Grimes. Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher beat the Grizzled Young Veterans. Thatcher submitted Zack Gibson after Thatcher got a hold of Wade Barrett’s shoe and hit Gibson square in the head with it. An in-ring promo by Karrion Kross was interrupted first by Kyle O’Reilly...then Pete Dunne..and finally the returning Finn Balor. All four men brawled. That allowed Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory to attack Kross as well. Earlier, Theory said something he shouldn’t have said in front of Scarlett...and he has a match against Kross next week. TWO title matches are also announced for next week. Raquel Gonzalez defending her NXT Women’s Title against Mercedes Martinez...and Two Out Of Three Falls - Kushida putting his Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Santos Escobar. Former NCAA Division I wrestling champion Gable Stevenson is a hot prospect in pro wrestling. WWE is interested...but Stevenson says he has yet to put pen to paper. (Stevenson WWE Talks) Stevenson speaking with Lucha Libre Online. Major League Wrestling will run a show in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in September. CEO Court Bauer told the Dallas Morning News...MLW will follow local COVID-19 safety guidelines...but he expects them to run at “full capacity” in the 2,000+ seat NYTEX Sports Centre. Also at Rey De Reyes, Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo appeared in person...and she challenged AAA’s new women’s champ Faby Apache to a “winner takes all” Title vs. Title Match...also at TripleMania. Apache had just won the vacant title in a multi-woman match. A surprise entrant was a recast version of Sexy Star - now portrayed by Hija de Gatubela. Laredo Kid won the Rey De Reyes itself.
