Chad Gable & Otis...Apollo Crews & Commander Azeez...and Zelina Vega are moving to Raw. Jumping to SmackDown: Mace - who is now split from T-Bar...Mansoor & Mustafa Ali...and Aliyah, who gets the callup from NXT. In addition to the draft, Goldberg is being promoted for tonight’s Raw. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation has Emi Sukura vs. Skye Blue. Plus, Wardlow & Shawn Spears vs. Marko Stunt & Fuego Del Sol. Also in action on tonight’s episode: Santana & Ortiz...The Acclaimed… Daniel Garcia & 2.0...and Kris Statlander. (STINGER: New Japan) Tomohiro Ishii handed Zack Sabre Jr. his first loss of this year’s G1 Climax tournament on Sunday. Ishii pinned Sabre with his vertical drop brainbuster. Sabre still leads the A Block with 8 points. There’s a 5-way tie for second place at 6 points. Other results from the A Block matches on Sunday… Kota Ibushi pinned the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagai after a pair of Kamigoyes. KENTA used a schoolboy to pin Great-O-Khan. After the match, Great-O-Khan hit KENTA with The Eliminator. And Tanga Loa beat Yujiro Takahashi. Toru Yano beat BUSHI in a non-tournament match. The G1 continues on Monday with matches from the B Block: The unbeaten Kazuchika Okada vs. SANADA… Jeff Cobb, who also remains perfect in the tournament, vs. Taichi... EVIL vs. Tama Tonga… Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Chase Owens... And Hirooki Goto vs. YOSHI-HASHI. FILTHY Tom Lawlor is still the Strong Openweight Champion. He choked out Lio Rush on Saturday’s New Japan Strong. After the match, Ren Narita came down to the ring and laid out Lawlor. Also on the show, Chris Dickinson submitted Royce Isaacs...and JR Kratos beat Fred Yehi. Back in Japan...Katsuhiko Nakajima is the winner of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament. He beat Kenoh in the final on Sunday. Nakajima is now set for a GHC Championship match against Naomichi Marufuji next Sunday. There was a title change in Stardom on Sunday. Maika, Himeka & Natsupoi are the new Artist Of Stardom Champions. They dethroned Tam Nakano, Unagi Sayaka & Mina Shirakawa (STINGER: Impact) Chelsea Green, Tasha Steelz and Jamie Senegal are the latest names announced for the one-night tournament on Impact’s Knockouts Knockdown special on October 9th. The tournament to crown Impact’s first Digital Media Champion begins on Tuesday...with John Skyler vs. Zicky Dice. Wednesday, we’ll get another match: Hernandez vs. Crazzy Steve. (STINGER: WWE) A bunch of names were moved to SmackDown during the first night of the WWE Draft. SmackDown got the #1 overall pick and took Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Raw followed that by taking WWE Champ Big E. Then, things got interesting. SmackDown added Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair...Drew McIntyre...Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods - REsplitting The New Day….Hit Row from NXT...and Jeff Hardy. The names drafted to Raw Friday night: Bianca Belair...Edge...Rey & Dominik Mysterio...and NXT’s Austin Theory. Many big names were not drafted. It was stated that the WWE roster was divided into separate pools, but those lists were not made public. The draft continues on Monday’s Raw. The new rosters will not go into effect until Friday, October 22nd...the day after the Crown Jewel show. Becky Lynch will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship...at Crown Jewel in a 3-Way against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. Lynch’s outside interference helped Banks rollup and pin Belair in the main event of Friday’s SmackDown. Also on the show, HAPPY Corbin, with Riddick “Madcap” Moss in his corner, pinned Kevin Owens with the End Of Days. Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods and the Street Profits beat Chad Gable & Otis and Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. Carmella donned a new protective face mask before she beat up on Liv Morgan. Brock Lesnar was on Friday’s SmackDown. He briefly traded blows with Roman Reigns...and then laid out The Usos. Brock later revealed he will NOT be drafted because he’s a free agent. WWE announced the King Of The Ring tournament...and a new Queen’s Crown tournament...will return starting on next Friday’s SmackDown. Goldberg is being promoted for Monday’s Raw. (STINGER: AEW) On Friday night’s Rampage...Bryan Danielson got his first singles win in AEW. He submitted Nick Jackson with the Cattle Mutilation. Jade Cargill stayed unbeaten in her AEW career. She pinned Thunder Rosa after a barrage of chair shots to win a No Disqualification 3-Way over Rosa and Nyla Rose. Orange Cassidy pinned Jack Evans to win a Hair vs. Hair match in the main event. Participants for the Casino Ladder Match on next Wednesday’s Dynamite were announced on Rampage: Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley, Lance Archer, Matt Hardy, Orange Cassidy and Pac. The 7th participant - the “Joker” - will be a surprise reveal on Wednesday. The winner of the match gets a shot at the AEW Championship. The new TNT Champion Sammy Guevara will defend the title on Wednesday’s Dynamite...against Bobby Fish. Riho will appear at Tokyo Joshi Pro’s Wrestle Princess II show on October 9th. (STINGER: New Japan) The leaders of the B Block in New Japan’s G1 Climax tournament remained unbeaten on Friday: Kazuchika Okada kept his perfect start to the tournament going. He cradled and pinned Hirooki Goto. Goto remains winless in this year’s G1. Jeff Cobb is also undefeated. He beat Tama Tonga. YOSHI-HASHI finally got a win on Friday. He beat Taichi. Also, Hiroshi Tanahashi beat SANADA...and EVIL beat Chase Owens. The G1 resumes Sunday with matches from the A Block: Shingo Takagi vs. Kota Ibushi… The unbeaten Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Tomohiro Ishii… KENTA vs. Great-O-Khan... And Yujiro Takahashi vs. Tanga Loa. Toru Yano has the non-tournament match. He’s facing BUSHI. Saturday night’s New Japan Strong has FILTHY Tom Lawlor defending his Strong Openweight Championship against Lio Rush. Sammy Guevara dethroned Miro in the main event of last night’s Dynamite. Guevara took advantage of an exposed turnbuckle...and then finished off Miro with the GTH and a 630 Splash. Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson beat Dante Martin & Matt Sydal. Johnson pinned Martin to get the win. After the match, Cody took a browbeating in the ring from Arn Anderson. Arn & Lee left the ring without Cody. Dark Order got back on the same page - at least for one night - as they teamed with Orange Cassidy to beat the entire Hardy Family Office in a 16-Man Tag Team Match. At one point, it appeared Evil Uno would walk out on the match...but Amanda Huber - the widow of the late Brodie Lee - was watching from the stage. And she and Negative One ordered Uno to get back in the fight...and Dark Order dominated from there. Later, Anna Jay & Tay Conti got Dark Order another win as they beat Penelope Ford & The Bunny. Adam Cole beat Jungle Boy...after a low blow behind the referee’s back...and his running knee strike - which may be called “The Boom”. Darby Allin, Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston beat Bear Country & Anthony Henry. Later, Allin had an in-ring confrontation with MJF. It was revealed during the show that Lio Rush has signed with AEW. (STINGER: WWE) Sheamus tweeted Wednesday that underwent another surgery for a broken nose. Today’s NXT UK has Jordan Devlin vs. Joe Coffey...Moustache Mountain vs. Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith...and the debut of Charlie Dempsey - son of William Regal. (STINGER: Impact) Christopher Daniels is set for a match on tonight’s Impact Wrestling. It’ll be his first in an Impact ring since April of 2014. He’s set to go one-on-one against Madman Fulton. The two men wrestled to a 30-minute draw to open the Dynamite Grand Slam broadcast from New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium. After the match, Omega tweeted “Ain’t gonna be no rematch.” Dr. Britt Baker is STILL the AEW Women’s Champion. She submitted Ruby Soho with the Lockjaw in last night’s Dynamite main event. Also, Malakai Black used GREEN MIST to steal a win over Cody Rhodes, who had Brandi Rhodes back in his corner… Darby Allin & Sting beat FTR… And MJF beat Brian Pillman Jr. Matches for Friday’s special 2-hour Rampage were also recorded last night. Next Wednesday’s Dynamite will have Miro defending the TNT Championship against Sammy Guevara. Reigns is set to tag with The Usos against the WWE Champion Big E and the rest of The New Day. There’s also a title match announced for tonight’s Raw. Natalya & Tamina defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. Plus, Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy. WWE is touring the United Kingdom this week. And it announced eight more dates in the UK coming up in November. (STINGER: Impact) Impact World Champion Christian Cage’s next title challenger will be Josh Alexander. And that match will happen at the Bound For Glory pay per view on October 23rd. Alexander invoked “Option C’ - surrendering the X-Division Championship for a shot at the Impact World Title. He made his intentions known at the end of Saturday’s Victory Road show. Chrisitan had just beaten Ace Austin to retain the Impact World Title. Earlier on that same show, Alexander beat Chris Sabin to hold onto the X-Division Title. The Good Brothers are still the Impact Tag Champs. They beat Rich Swann & Willie Mack. Rosemary & Havok beat Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans to retain the Knockouts Tag Titles. Moose & W. Morrissey beat Eddie Edwards & Sami Callihan. Moose pinned Edwards. But after the match, Morrissey hit Alisha Edwards with a powerbomb. Chelsea Green helped Matt Cardona beat Rohit Raju in a No Disqualification Match. Bullet Club’s Chris Bey & Hikuleo beat FinJuice. Steve Maclin pinned TJP to win a 3-Way that also included Petey Williams. Taylor Wilde beat Tenille Dashwood. Laredo Kid won a 5-Way match over Trey Miguel, Jake Something, Black Taurus and John Skyler. Laredo Kid pinned Skyler. (STINGER: New Japan) The first weekend of New Japan’s G1 Climax tournament is in the books. The opening night in the B Block saw Kazuchika Okada pin Hiroshi Tanahashi. Other winners from Sunday’s show: Taichi, SANADA, Jeff Cobb and EVIL. Saturday’s A Block matches saw some upsets, none bigger than Yujiro Takahashi beating 2-time defending G1 winner Kota Ibushi. Also, Zack Sabre Jr. SUBMITTED Tetsuya Naito. Toru Yano beat KENTA...and Shingo Takagi and Great-O-Khan got wins in their opening matches. The tournament resumes on Thursday. On Saturday’s New Japan Strong… Hikuleo beat Juice Robinson in a Tables Match. Tomohiro Ishii beat Alex Coghlin… And Hiroshi Tanahashi, Clark Connors & Karl Fredericks beat Bateman, Barrett Brown & Misterioso. Fredericks pinned Brown with his Manifest Destiny finisher. After the match, Fredericks called out Will Ospreay. Ospreay answered and that led to a brawl between the two. RevPro held an eventful show on Sunday. Will Ospreay beat Ricky Knight Jr. to claim sole possession of the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. After the match, the tag team Aussie Open joined Ospreay’s United Empire faction. Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 7 will be held on October 22nd, with Marina Shafir already announced for the show. Shafir was released by WWE back in June. Carmelo Hayes now has a friend watching his back - Trick Williams...and together, they beat up on Duke Hudson. Trick is Matrick Belton, a recent PC signee with a football background. She beat Miranda Alize in the finals of the ROH women’s title tournament. Bandido is STILL the ROH World Champion. He survived a 4-Way Elimination Match against Brody King, EC3 and DEMONIC Flamita. EC3’s elimination came via disqualification, after the referee caught him using a steel chair. King pinned Flamita to eliminate him...and Bandido later caught King in a crucifix pin to secure the win. Shane Taylor Promotions beat La Faccion Ingobernable’s Dragon Lee, Kenny King & Bestia Del Ring to retain the ROH 6-Man Titles. After Kenny Omega beat Christian Cage to retain the AEW Championship in last night’s main event, Adam Cole made a surprise appearance...and he quickly aligned himself with The Elite. That was followed by the AEW debut of Bryan Danielson, who helped Christian and Jurassic Express run off Omega and the rest of The Elite. Backstage after the show, Cole talked about his decision to jump to AEW. (Adam Cole Jumps To AEW) That clip from the media scrum after All Out. Those were not the only surprises at All Out. Ruby Soho - the former Ruby Riott - made her AEW debut and won the women’s Casino Battle Royale to earn a shot at the AEW Women’s Championship. That title is still held by Dr. Britt Baker after she beat Kris Statlander last night. New Japan’s Minoru Suzuki made a surprise appearance to confront, and lay out, Jon Moxley...after Mox had beaten Satoshi Kojima. Moxley and Suzuki are now set for a match on Wednesday’s Dynamite from Cincinnati. The lone title change last night...the Lucha Brothers beat the Young Bucks inside a steel cage to take away the AEW Tag Team Titles. Miro beat Eddie Kingston to retain the TNT Championship. CM Punk’s first pro wrestling match in over seven years was a win over Darby Allin. He pinned him with the GTS and the two shook hands after the match. For a few moments, it appeared MJF had pinned Chris Jericho to end his in-ring career in AEW. It took a second referee to point out that Jericho’s foot was on the bottom rope. The match was restarted and Jericho later forced MJF to tap out to the Walls Of Jericho. And Paul Wight pinned QT Marshall with a choke slam. The Smoothie King Center’s primary tenants, the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans, announced Monday that the arena had "minor exterior damage" from Ida...and “will be prepared to host games for the upcoming season without issue”. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight’s Raw has some pretty big matches already announced. WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is set to face Sheamus in a non-title match. Also still on the card...Eva Marie vs. Doudrop. A match between The Miz and John Morrison, which was announced on last Monday’s Raw is no longer being promoted. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan announced the full cards for its upcoming Wrestle Grand Slam stadium shows next weekend. All the wrestlers who’ve been sidelined due to COVID-19 or contact concerns will be back for the show. That includes IWGP World Heavyweight Champions Shingo Takagi, who is set to defend the title against EVIL on Sunday’s show. Also, there’s a title match now added to Sunday’s card. El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori defend the junior tag titles against Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado. Saturday’s show now has a one-on-one match between former tag partners SHO and YOH. Stardom will have a match on both Wrestle Grand Slam shows...and BOTH will be broadcast on New Japan World. At Stardom’s show on Sunday... Starlight Kid beat Natsupoi to win the High Speed Title. And we have to mention this from Pro-Wrestling NOAH. The Great Muta hit Kaito Kiyomya with a CAR during NOAH’s show on Sunday. (STINGER: AEW) At least NINE matches are being promoted for tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation, including Sammy Guevara & Fuego Del Sol vs. Chaos Project...Julia Hart & Big Swole vs. Nyla Rose & Diamante...and Brian Cage vs. Anthony Bowens. For the first time in more than a thousand days, there is a NEW NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. Trevor Murdoch ended the near three-year reign of Nick Aldis in the main event of last night’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view...pinning Aldis after a leaping bulldog from the top rope. Ric Flair, who also appeared earlier in the show, was on hand to congratulate Murdoch. There are new NWA Tag Team Champions. Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf 450, who had Konnan in their corner, dethroned Aron Stevens & Kratos. Chris Adonis pinned James Storm with a roll-up and his feet on the ropes to retain the NWA National Title. Judais won a battle royal to become the #1 contender for the National Title. Mickie James pinned Kylie Ray. Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo attacked James after the match. Kamille submitted Chelsea Green to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship. Green had earned the shot by winning the NWA Invitational Battle Royale at Saturday night’s Empowerrr pay per view. The Lucha Brothers earned the shot by beating Jurassic Express on last night’s Rampage. Also added to All Out...Miro will defend the TNT Championship against Eddie Kingston. The main event on last night’s Rampage saw Christian Cage & Frankie Kazarian beat AEW Champion Kenny Omega & Brandon Cutler. Christian pinned Cutler with the Killswitch. Also last night, The Bunny used a pair of brass knuckles to knock out and pin Tay Conti. Penelope Ford helped Bunny spring the trap by distracting the referee. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer and Andrew Zarian from The Mat Men Podcast are reporting that AEW will soon begin holding tapings for Dark at Universal Studios in Orlando. (STINGER: WWE) Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship on next Friday’s SmackDown...against Finn Balor. The match was made at the end of last night’s SmackDown. Also last night, Bianca Belair earned a rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship she lost to Becky Lynch. Belair won a 4-Way Elimination Match last night, outlasting Carmella, Zelina Vega and Liv Morgan. Morgan was the last to be eliminated. Becky Lynch was on last night’s SmackDown...and said she apologizes for nothing when it comes to how she sucker punched and pinned Belair in less than 30 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Title at SummerSlam. Sami Zayn pinned Dominik Mysterio last night with the Helluva Kick. After the match it appeared there is growing tension between Dominik and his dad Rey. KING Nakamura & Rick Boogs beat Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. Boogs pinned Ziggler with a pumphandle slam. Cesaro beat Chad Gable via disqualification when Otis interfered. Otis then his Cesaro with a splash from the second rope. Baron Corbin returned from Las Vegas a rich man...and is now calling himself “Happy” Corbin, with new entrance music and everything. Corbin offered $100,000 dollars for Big E’s Money In The Bank contract. Big E declined the offer. WWE on Friday unveiled a new logo for NXT - a dramatic departure from the old one, featuring bright, bold colors. We don’t know when it will start being used on the show. The NWA presents its all-women Empowerrr pay per view Saturday afternoon starting at 1PM Eastern. Kamilla will defend the NWA World Women's Title against AEW's LEGIT Leyla Hirsch Impact Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo puts her title on the line against Melina. New NWA World Women’s Tag Champions will be crowned in a four-team tournament. And the main event will be the NWA Women’s Invitational - a gauntlet-style battle royal. Williams scored the deciding pinfall after he cracked Carter over the head with a steel drinking bottle. Also on the show, Aoife Valkyrie used a steel chair to put away Jinny in a No Disqualification Match. (STINGER: ROH) Dragon Lee defends the Ring Of Honor TV Title on this weekend’s ROH TV...against Eli Isom. Also on this weekend’s episode - two more quarterfinal matches in ROH’s women’s title tournament: Angelina Love vs. Max The Impaler...and Allysin Kay vs. Trish Adora. (STINGER: Impact) The Impact Tag Team Champs could be in some trouble. The Good Brothers lost a non-title match to Rich Swann & Willie Mack in the main event of last night’s Impact Wrestling. Swann caught Karl Anderson with a roll-up for the pin. The Good Brothers beat up on Swann & Mack after the match. An in-ring confrontation involving Impact Champion Christian Cage, the #1 contender Ace Austin and Tommy Dreamer resulted in Scott D’Amore making a match between Austin and Dreamer for next week’s Impact...and if Dreamer wins, he gets added to the Impact World Title match at Victory Road. Also last night, Chris Sabin pinned Sami Callihan… Moose took down both men after the match, and was set to bring a baseball bat down on a steel chair sitting across Callihan’s neck...but Eddie Edwards ran out to save Callihan. Chris Bey used a roll-up and a handful of tights to pin David Finlay. Madison Rayne, Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb With A K won a 3-on-1 match over Taylor Wilde. Another match now announced for Empowerrr: Christie Jaynes vs. Skye Blue. Major League Wrestling’s Court Bauer tweeted Thursday that an MLW Women’s Championship is “in the works”. Cash Wheeler returned to AEW TV for the first time since he suffered a gruesome, bloody injury to his right arm weeks ago. He appeared alongside Dax Harwood in a backstage segment. QT Marshall hit a major pothole on the way to his match at All Out against Paul Wight.
