Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura says he’s cleared to return to action after a hand injury. Ilja Dragunov is still the NXT UK Champion. He beat Jordan Devlin with his hands tied behind his back…in an Empty Arena Match on Thursday’s episode. Also on the show…Teoman, Rohan Raja & Charlie Dempsey beat Gallus. Dempsey forced Wolfgang to tap out. Jinny put her feet on the ropes to steal a pin from Amale. WWE and Disney have a deal to carry the WWE Network on the Disney+ Hotstar service in Indonesia. That’ll kick off with Saturday’s Royal Rumble. (STINGER: Impact) Knockouts Champion Mickie James laid out her intentions when she appears in the Royal Rumble on Saturday. (Mickie James Rumble) That clip from last night’s Impact Wrestling. James will defend the Knockouts Title against Tasha Steelz on the No Surrender special. The group now known as Honor No More - Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Vincent, PCO & Maria Kanellis…will face Josh Alexander, Chris Sabin, Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann & Rhino at No Surrender. If Honor No More wins, they can stay in Impact. If they lose, they’re gone. PCO beat Sabin on last night’s show. Jake Something beat Chris Bey. Bey’s Bullet Club backup arrived after the match. NXT announced that Odyssey Jones underwent surgery for a ruptured patella and is expected to be out of action until the fall. Jungle Boy rolled up Penta El Zero Miedo for the win. Moments earlier, Luchasaurus choke slammed Rey Fenix through a table at ringside. Fenix immediately grabbed his left arm. It did not look good. Many AEW wrestlers were tweeting prayers and well wishes after the show. Jade Cargill is the first TBS Champion. She won the tournament final last night. Cargill pinned Ruby Soho after hitting Jaded from the second rope. The show opened with Hangman Page beating Bryan Danielson to retain the AEW Championship. He pinned Danielson with the Buckshot Lariat after about 30 minutes of action. “Captain” Shawn Dean beat MJF via disqualification…after CM Punk showed up, ran off MJF, and then hit Dean with the Go 2 Sleep. It’s the first DQ finish in the history of Dynamite. Also last night, Malakai Black beat Brian Pillman Jr…and Wardlow made quick work of Antonio Zambrano. Tony Khan told Z100 in New York City that a “dream signing” is coming soon to AEW. (STINGER: WWE) A round of cuts behind the scenes at WWE - most of them involving NXT and the Performance Center. Fightful and PWInsider were among the first to report the names. The list includes William Regal, who was the longtime on-screen general manager on NXT… Brian James - better known as Road Dogg during his in-ring days… Hideki Suzuki, who was appearing on-screen as Hachiman with the Diamond Mine. He beat KENTA in a bloody and brutal “no disqualification” match. Tanahashi finished off KENTA with a High Fly Flow from the top of a 10-12 foot tall ladder, driving KENTA through a table. Bullet Club’s House Of Torture - EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi held onto the NEVER 6-Man titles with a win over Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & YOH. SHO pinned YOH after he hit him with a wrench. Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask retained the Junior Tag Titles. They won a 3-way over Ryusuke Taguchi & Rocky Romero and El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori. Two more new champions were crowned on Night 1 of Wrestle Kingdom 16. EVIL won the NEVER Openweight Title from Tomohiro Ishii. He turned away Hiromu Takahashi’s challenge for the IWGP Jr. Title. New Japan will have a new weekly series on AXS TV - airing Thursdays at 10PM - right after Impact Wrestling - starting March 3rd. Becky Lynch is still the RAW Women’s Champion. She pinned Liv Morgan with the Manhandle Slam at Day 1. The Usos beat King Woods & Kofi Kingston to retain the SmackDown Tag Titles. Styles was rolled up and pinned after Omos refused to tag in. They came to blows after the match with Omos laying out Styles. Fightful reported Wednesday that Owens has re-signed with the company, ending the speculation surrounding his expiring contract and possible future plans. Today’s NXT UK has A-Kid vs. Nathan Frazer in a Heritage Cup #1 Contender Match. (STINGER: AEW) Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson went the distance on last night’s Dynamite. Their AEW Championship match ended in a 60-minute draw. Hangman retains the gold, but one must assume a rematch is coming somewhere down the line. MJF won the Dynamite Diamond Ring for the third year in a row. He forced Dante Martin to submit after a timely outside assist from Ricky Starks. Sting and Darby Allin tried a sneak attack on MJF and FTR after the match. But the numbers were too much for them. That’s when CM Punk showed up. People across the world of pro wrestling are mourning the death of Jimmy Rave. He was a steady presence on the U.S. independent scene for nearly two decades…and had memorable runs in Ring Of Honor and TNA. Rave struggled with drug addiction. His health took a dramatic downturn just over a year ago when an infection led to the amputation of his left arm…and in October, BOTH of his legs. He leaves behind two children. Jimmy Rave was 39. (STINGER: WWE) The WWE Championship match at the Day 1 pay-per-view is now a 4-Way: Big E defending against Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens…and Bobby Lashley. Lashley earned his way into the match by beating all three of his Day 1 opponents in separate matches on last night’s Raw. There were plenty of shady circumstances involving all three wins, but hey…he got them. Another match added to Day 1. Liv Morgan will get another shot at Becky Lynch and the Raw Women’s Championship. Lynch attacked Morgan last night, crushing her arm between the ring steps and ring post. Also last night…Otis pinned one-half of the Raw Tag Champs Riddle. One-half of the women’s tag champs Queen Zelina pinned Rhea Ripley with a rollup in less than a minute after Ripley got distracted by Nikki ASH getting superkicked by Carmella. Bianca Belair pinned Doudrop with a 450 splash. But Doudrop laid out Belair after the match. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode beat United States Champion Damian Priest & Finn Balor. Ziggler pinned Balor with the ZigZag after Balor got distracted by Austin Theory taking a selfie on the ring apron. The RK-Bro-nament final did NOT happen last night. That was to pit the Street Profits against Rey & Dominik Mysterio. But WWE announced there are injuries on BOTH teams…and the match is now pushed back until December 27th. During a Twitch stream Monday night, Matt Hardy said WWE may have “jumped the gun” when it released Jeff Hardy after he walked out on a house show match in Texas earlier this month. Matt Hardy confirmed Jeff was released after he refused to go to rehab. Matt openly speculated that the results of Jeff’s drug test following the incident will come back clean.
