He’ll undergo surgery and the recovery time is estimated at around six months. Back in Japan... Another big win for SHO in New Japan’s Best Of The Super Juniors tournament. He beat Hiromu Takahashi via referee stoppage on Monday. The referee was knocked down late in the match and that allowed other members of the House Of Torture to attack Takahashi and give SHO the win. He beat Miro via knockout in the final of the World Championship Eliminator Tournament. Dr. Britt Baker beat Tay Conti to retain the AEW Women’s Championship. The Lucha Brothers are still the AEW Tag Champs. They beat FTR. CM Punk pinned Eddie Kingston with the Go 2 Sleep. Punk offered to shake Eddie’s hand after the match. Eddie did not accept and just walked away. Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus & Christian Cage beat Adam Cole & the Young Bucks in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Jungle Boy pinned Matt Jackson after hitting him with a Conchairto on the entrance ramp. Inner Circle beat The Men Of The Year & American Top Team in a Minneapolis Street Fight. Chris Jericho pinned Dan Lambert after landing a frog splash from the top rope. MJF used his Dynamite Diamond Ring to knock out Darby Allin, and then pinned Allin with a side headlock. Cody Rhodes & Pac beat Malakai Black & Andrade El Idolo. Pac pinned Andrade with the Black Arrow. AEW introduced its newest major signing - former Ring Of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal. He quickly set himself up to challenge Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship on Wednesday night’s Dynamite. On the Buy In preshow…Thunder Rosa & Hikaru Shida beat Nyla Rose & Jamie Hayter. Shida rolled up Rose for the pin. Those two will meet again on Wednesday’s Dynamite in a TBS Championship Tournament match. The NEW NEVER Openweight Champion in New Japan - Tomohiro Ishii - is also being promoted for Wednesday’s Dynamite. He’ll get the winner of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Match between Shingo Takagi and Kazuchika Okada that’s already set for January 4th in Tokyo Dome.. Okada beat Buddy Matthews in Matthews’ New Japan debut Saturday night. Impact World Champion Moose beat Juice Robinson in a non-title match. After the match, Jonah - the former Bronson Reed in WWE - arrived in New Japan and attacked both Robinson and David Finlay, who tried to come to Juice’s aid. Jonah tweeted Sunday that his agreement with New Japan leaves him open for other bookings in the U.S. Chris Dickinson tweeted early Sunday that he needs “every and all positive vibes in the world right now” after he was apparently injured during his match at Battle In The Valley. New Japan pulled Dickinson from today’s tapings of New Japan Strong in Riverside, California...but offered no details on his injury. Dickinson was on Saturday night’s episode of Strong, where he lost to Minoru Suzuki. The episode featured matches recorded in Philadelphia last month. Rocky Romero & Fred Rosser beat the Strong Openweight Champion FILTHY Tom Lawlor & Danny Limelight. Lawlor was pinned by Rosser. Back in Japan… The Best Of The Super Juniors tournament resumes Monday...with Jr. Heavyweight Champion El Desperado vs. Taiji Ishimori...and Hiromu Takahashi vs. SHO among the matches. The tournament’s opening night on Saturday saw SHO get a win over El Desperado. Tetsuya Naito returned to in-ring action on Sunday. He and SANADA beat Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI on the first night of the World Tag League tournament. Naito pinned YOSHI-HASHI with Destino. New champions were crowned at Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s show on Saturday. Kenoh beat Masaaki Mochizuki to win the GHC National Title. (STINGER: ROH) Uncertainty surrounds the future of Ring Of Honor. On Wednesday, ROH announced that it will go on hiatus following the Final Battle pay per view on December 11th. ROH released a statement saying it needs to “make changes” to its business operations...and “will be taking the first quarter of 2022 to work internally to reimagine ROH.” ROH said it anticipates “returning to live events in April 2022”. The Wrestling Observer, Fightful and other outlets are reporting that ALL talent are being released from their contracts. Wrestlers currently on the ROH roster are already making themselves available for bookings. ROH World Champion Bandido quickly announced three dates for GCW in December. ROH also announced Wednesday that “technical difficulties” will mean this weekend’s ROH TV will be a rerun of a past episode featuring classic matches of Jay Lethal. The special Halloween episode of ROH TV that was being promoted will premiere on ROH’s YouTube on October 31st at 7PM Eastern. (STINGER: AEW) THREE new matches are now announced for AEW’s Full Gear pay per view. The Lucha Brothers will defend the AEW Tag Titles against FTR. The Inner Circle and American Top Team will meet in a Minneapolis Street Fight. The Inner Circle will get to choose which members of American Top Team they’ll face...thanks to TNT Champion Sammy Guevara beating Ethan Page on last night’s Dynamite. Also added to Full Gear, MJF vs. Darby Allin. Allin returned to AEW TV on last night’s Dynamite. MJF escaped the ambush, but Wardlow took a shot to the back from Allin’s thumbtack skateboard. Also last night, Hikaru Shida got some revenge, her 50th win in AEW...and advanced in the TBS Championship tournament by beating Serena Deeb. But Deeb used a steel chair to attack Shida’s knee after the match. Jon Moxley made quick work of Dark Order’s 10 to advance in the World Title Eliminator Tournament. Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver, and Colt Cabana beat The Elite’s Kenny Omega, Adam Cole and the Young Bucks. Halloween costumes were worn by all the compatents. The Elite were dressed as the Ghostbusters...with someone dressed up as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. You’d think it was one of The Elite’s lackeys - but NO! He revealed himself to be Hangman Page...and not long after that...John Silver pinned Matt Jackson for the win. CM Punk pinned Bobby Fish with the Go 2 Sleep. Cody Rhodes was confronted during an in-ring segment by Andrade El Idolo...and Malakai Black. Pac showed up to even the odds. A match announced for Friday’s Rampage: Dante Martin & Lio Rush vs. the Sydal Brothers...will now be just Dante Martin vs. Matt Sydal. The explanation for the change is that Mike Sydal is injured. Tonight’s Raw is the first with the new post-Draft rosters now in effect. (STINGER: AEW) A new match is announced for AEW’s Full Gear pay per view. Dr. Britt Baker will defend the AEW Women’s Championship against Tay Conti. Lance Archer tweeted “I’ll live” after a scary landing on Saturday night’s Dynamite. Archer under-rotated on a top rope moonsault and landed headfirst Archer rolled out of the ring where he consulted with a ringside doctor. Moments later, Eddie Kingston rolled him up for the pin and advanced in the World Title Eliminator Tournament. Kingston will meet Bryan Danielson in the tournament semifinals on next Friday’s Rampage. Danielson advanced by choking out Dustin Rhodes with a guillotine on Saturday night’s Dynamite. Ruby Soho beat Penelope Ford in the first round of the TBS Championship Tournament. She’ll face Kris Statlander in the second round. Also on Saturday’s Dynamite, Cody Rhodes used a Tiger Driver ‘98 to pin Malakai Black in a bloody main event…that also saw Andrade El Idolo and Pac brawl on the entrance ramp, and Arn Anderson deliver a spinebuster to Andrade’s assistant Jose. Bobby Fish beat Anthony Greene...and continued the beating after the match until CM Punk ran off Fish. Jungle Boy smoked Brandon Cutler. But after the match the Young Bucks and Adam Cole attacked Jungle Boy and threw him off the stage and through a table. MJF laid out Sting during an in-ring confrontation...as Darby Allin’s whereabouts remain unknown. And Tony Nese was shown watching the show from the crowd. G1 winner Kazuchika Okada showed up - not with the traditional contract-carrying briefcase - but with the old IWGP Heavyweight Title Belt. The belt has not been seen since the introduction of the new IWGP WORLD Heavyweight Championship currently held by Shingo Takagi. Sunday’s show also saw the return of Aaron Henare. But Alexander’s title reign was over within minutes. The celebration was cut off by Moose. He immediately challenged and pinned Alexander while his wife and child were still in the ring. Moose won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match earlier in the night to earn the title shot. Mickie James ended Deonna Purrazzo’s 343-day reign as Knockouts Champion. The IInspiration - Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay - won the Knockouts Tag Titles in their Impact debut, dethroning Decay. Trey Miguel won the vacant X-Divison Championship. He pinned El Phantasmo to win a 3-Way over ELP and Steve Maclin. Jordynne Grace won a 6-Way on the Countdown To Glory pre-show to become Impact’s first Digital Media Champion. Mansoor beat Cedric Alexander. Charlotte Flair’s Raw Women’s Title defense against Bianca Belair ended in a disqualification after Charlotte hit Bianca with a steel chair. A non-title match between the Raw Tag Champs Randy Orton & Riddle and the Street Profits also ended in a DQ after AJ Styles & Omos attacked both teams. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight’s AEW Dark has Frankie Kazarian vs. Aaron Solo. Dark Order’s Stu Grayson, Colt Cabana, Alan “5” Angels & 10 vs. 2.0, Daniel Garcia & Serpentico PLUS, Diamante, Nyla Rose & Emi Sakura vs. Kris Statlander, Thunder Rosa & Red Velvet Diamante, Sakura & Rose were victorious on last night’s Dark: Elevation.
