Changes Behind The Scenes For NXT, WWE Developmental System.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, August 9, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) It sounds like there is some validity to reports over the weekend of possible changes tp WWE’s NXT brand and developmental system. The reports surfaced following the releases of thirteen performers last Friday. One of those released wrestlers posted a statement over the weekend...and alluded to what’s happening behind the scenes. Anthony Henry - who wrestled as Asher Hale in WWE - wrote, “There is a shift happening, within the company, and I no longer fit what they are looking for.” Henry added that he was wrestling through an injury - two herniated disks - during most of his 6-month run in WWE. Another of those wrestlers released Friday, Bronson Reed, posted a message for his fans on social media Sunday night. The Australian super-heavyweight talked about his reaction to being let go. (Reed WWE Release Reax) That clip from the video posted to Bronson Reed’s Twitter. As of Sunday night, no matches are announced for tonight’s Raw...but we are being promised separate appearances by WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Charlotte Flair. John Cena is being advertised for live fans tonight in Orlando, but there’s guarantee he’ll appear while Raw is on the air. (STINGER: New Japan) There are three unbeaten teams...and three winless teams...after the first weekend of New Japan’s Super Junior Tag League. Two of the unbeatens go head-to-head on Monday’s show...when Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask face El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Also on Monday’s show, two teams look for their first win in the tournament...when Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato go up against SHO & YOH. Plus, an ALL Bullet Club showdown, the unbeaten team of Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo vs. the winless pairing of Gedo & Dick Togo Tuesday’s Summer Struggle show will provide a break from the Super Junior Tag League...for a main event NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Title Match. Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI defend against Tetsuya Naito, SANADA & BUSHI. New Japan announced over the weekend that all of its wrestlers and staff residing in Japan have now received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. A new match announced for Resurgence in Los Angeles coming up on Saturday. It’s 10-man tag. Strong Openweight Champ FILTHY Tom Lawlor, JR Kratos, Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs & Danny Limelight vs. Lio Rush, Brody King, Chris Dickinson, Fred Yehi & Yuya Uemura. Uemura was last seen wrestling his final match as a Young Lion in Japan last weekend...as he is now getting ready to begin his excursion. A title change in Dragon Gate. SB KENTo took the Open the Brave Gate Title from Kagetora on Sunday. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation has at least five matches announced, including the Lucha Brothers vs. Matt & Mike Sydal...and Brian Cage vs. Rickey Shane Page. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, September 9. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. New Round Of WWE Releases. New Matches Added To SummerSlam.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, August 7, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on WrestleMap.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: WWE) WWE reportedly released at least a dozen wrestlers on Friday. Most of them were working on NXT and 205 Live. Perhaps the most surprising name is Bronson Reed. He was the NXT North American Champion just a couple months ago. He also got a look recently on Main Event. Other confirmed cuts: Jake Atlas… Kona Reeves... Anthony Henry, who signed with WWE back in January, and was wrestling under the name Asher Hale...Alex Zayne, who was wrestling under the name Ari Sterling. He signed with the company late last year... and Denzel Dejournette, who was recently using the ring name Desmond Troy. More names were reported by Fightful and PWInsider: Bobby Fish… Mercedes Martinez… Tyler Rust, who was part of the new Diamond Mine faction on NXT...and had just signed with WWE last December. Former NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff, who won the title shortly after he signed with WWE last summer… Giant Zanjeer… Zechariah Smith... AND referee Stephon Smith. We got two new matches officially announced for SummerSlam during Friday night’s SmackDown. Bianca Belair will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks. Belair beat Zelina Vega in a non-title match on SmackDown. Also added to SummerSlam, Edge vs. Seth Rollins. Finn Balor is not over last week’s contract signing...and the Universal Title match he missed out on when Baron Corbin interrupted the ceremony...and then, John Cena swooped in to sign the contract himself. Balor steamrolled Corbin on Friday night. After the match, Balor said he still wants his title shot and he’ll go through Cena to get it. That drew out Roman Reigns...and The Usos. Balor got the better of them for a bit, but eventually succumbed to the numbers game. KING Nakamura beat Intercontinental Champ Apollo Crews via disqualification...after Commander Azeez got involved. This was a non-title match, but this appears to put Nakamura in line for a title shot. Tegan Nox pinned one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Champs Tamina. Nox rolled up Tamina after she was distracted by Shotzi firing a shot from her tank at ringside. One half of the SmackDown Tag Champs Jey Uso beat Dominik Mysterio. The Street Profits returned to action with a win over Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan’s Super Junior Tag League kicks off Saturday with the first three matches at the Summer Struggle show at Korakuen Hall. It’s a FREE show on New Japan World. The tournament continues on Sunday...with three more matches: Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo...Tiger Mask & Robbie Eagles vs Roppongi 3K...and El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Dick Togo & Gedo. Team Filthy appeared to gain some extra manpower at the end of last night’s New Japan Strong. Team Filthy’s Danny Limelight & JR Kratos beat the West Coast Wrecking Crew - Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs - in the main event. The two sides were ready to keep going at it after the match, but FILTHY Tom Lawlor himself came to the ring to play peacemaker...and Nelson & Isaacs left the ring with Team Filthy. Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s YO-HEY is out of action after a PCR test came back positive for the coronavirus. Five other wrestlers and a referee were also pulled from Friday’s show due to contact with YO-HEY. Several upcoming shows in Australia are canceled or postponed due to a new 7-day lockdown in the country over COVID-19 concerns. An extra episode of NWA Powerrr on Friday produced a new champion. Tyrus took the NWA TV Title from Da Pope. Lady Frost is now added to the Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th. She’ll be part of a battle royal...where the winner gets a shot at the NWA Women’s Title the following day at the NWA’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view. (STINGER: AEW) AEW released a bonus episode of Dark Friday night. Eleven matches packed into this one. Billy & Colten Gunn beat The Factory’s Nick Comoroto & Aaron Solo. Billy grabbed a handful of Solo’s tights as he rolled him up for the pin. Major League Wrestling’s TV tapings on November 6th, which were originally set to be held in Chicago..are being moved to Philadelphi’s 2300 Arena. Germany’s WXW promotion is holding its 20th Anniversary show on Saturday, with Axel Tischer - the former Alexander Wolfe - in the main event. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, August 7. Remembering Bobby Eaton. SmackDown Tag Title Match Added To Summer Slam.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, August 6, 2021. One of pro wrestling’s most respected in-ring performers...has died. Bobby Eaton was a wrestler’s wrestler - admired by his peers for his skill inside the squared circle...and for his kind nature away from the ring. Eaton is recognized as one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. His run as part of the original Midnight Express is legendary. Eaton’s family announced he passed away on Wednesday night. Bobby Eaton was 62. (STINGER: WWE) Another title match is set for SummerSlam. The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Titles against the former champs, Rey & Dominik Mysterio. On Thursday’s NXT UK…A-Kid beat Jordan Devlin in a 30-minute Iron Man Match...winning two falls to one. A-Kid took the lead with a submission on Devlin with about 90 seconds left...and then held on for the victory. Also on Thursday’s show, Blair Davenport beat Xia Brookside. An 8-man tournament will decide the new #1 contender for the Heritage Cup Championship currently held by Tyler Bate. That begins next week with a first round match between Mark Andrews and Noam Dar. As of Thursday night, there’s essentially nothing announced for tonight’s SmackDown. (STINGER: Impact) The next Impact Plus exclusive, Emergence, is now being promoted for Friday, August 20th. Impact has promised that Kenny Omega will defend the Impact World Title on that show. Two more title matches for Emergence were made official on last night’s Impact. Josh Alexander will defend the X-Division Title against Jake Something, who won a 4-Way #1 Contender Match last night. The Impact Tag Titles will be on the line in a 3-Way. The Good Brothers defend against Violent by Design and Willie Mack & Rich Swann. The Good Brothers and Omega were beaten in last night’s main event...by the team of Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards and the ELITE HUNTER Frankie Kazarian. Edwards pinned Karl Anderson with the Boston Knee Party. W. Morrissey showed up and laid out Edwards after the match. Bullet Club has a new member...and it’s Chris Bey. Jay White formally welcomed him into the group after Bey pinned Juice Robinson with the Art Of Finesse on last night’s Impact. It appears last night was the end of Fire n’ Flava. Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz lost to Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering. After the match, the debuting Savannah Evans came out to beat up Hogan while Steelz just watched. Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo is now set to defend her title against Melina at the NWA’s Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th. We also learned earlier this week that Chelsea Green will be part of a Battle Royal at Empowerrr...with the winner facing the NWA Women’s Champ the following night on the NWA’s 73rd Anniversary pay per view. (STINGER: ROH) The Ring Of Honor women’s title tournament rolls on this weekend on ROH TV...with two more first-round matches: Quinn McKay vs. Mandy Leon...and Trish Adora vs. Marti Belle. Also, ROH World Champion Bandido teams up with Rey Horus to face Violence Unlimited’s Brody King & Chris Dickinson. (STINGER: New Japan) Tonight’s New Japan Strong has the West Coast Wrecking Crew - Royce Isaacs & Jorel Nelson - vs. Team Filthy’s Danny Limelight & JR Kratos. Plus, Fred Rosser & Rocky Romero vs. the LA Dojo team of Ren Narita & Alex Coughlin. Back in Japan, the Summer Struggle tour resumes on Saturday...with the start of the Super Junior Tag League tournament. Three tournament matches are scheduled: El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori vs. SHO & YOH...El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato...and Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask vs. Dick Togo & Gedo. (STINGER: AEW) AEW has added Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia to next Wednesday’s Dynamite. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, August 6. IMPACT Wrestling Shuts Down Twitch Stream.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, August 5, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: Impact) It turns out last week’s episode of Impact was the last one that will ever be streamed on Twitch. Impact is launching a new subscription service on YouTube. 99 cents per month will now get you Thursday night’s Impact Wrestling shows, which also air on AXS TV. $4.99 per month gets you access to Impact’s pay per view library and other original programming. The Impact World Champion Kenny Omega will be in action on tonight’s Impact Wrestling. He’s set to tag with the Impact Tag Champs the Good Brothers...against Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards...and the ELITE HUNTER Frankie Kazarian. It’ll be Kazarian’s first match in Impact since he left the company back in 2014. Also announced for tonight, a 4-Way X-Division Title #1 Contender Match: Jake Something vs. Daivari vs. Rohit Raju vs. Trey Miguel. Plus, Chris Bey vs. Juice Robinson. Jay White is set to be in Bey’s corner...and Fire n’ Flava vs. Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering. (STINGER: AEW) Cody Rhodes appeared to be on the verge of announcing his retirement at the end of last night’s Dynamite. He had removed his boots in the ring...after a loss to Malakai Black in last night’s main event. However, Cody couldn’t finish his emotional post-match address to the crowd at Daily’s Place before Black returned and cracked Cody across the back with a crutch. Christian Cage is the new #1 contender to Kenny Omega’s AEW Championship. Christian pinned The Blade on last night’s show. Omega and the rest of The Elite put a beating on Hangman Page in the ring last night. Dark Order wanted to help out but Hangman had told them earlier that they should “go their separate ways”...at least, for now.. The ELITE HUNTER Frankie Kazarian tried to help Hangman, but couldn’t overcome the numbers advantage of The Elite. LEGIT Leyla Hirsch is next in line for a shot at the NWA Women’s Championship held by Kamille. Hirsch submitted The Bunny last night. Kamille was ringside and had a staredown with Hirsch after the match. The NWA later announced that title match will happen at its Empowerrr pay per view on August 28th. Lee Johnson put up a good fight, but Miro was able to put him away with his Game Over submission to retain the TNT Championship. Chris Jericho pinned Juventud Guerrera with a Judas Effect from the top rope. The 4th “Labour Of Jericho” next Wednesday will be against Wardlow with MJF stationed at ringside. Also announced for next week’s Dynamite...the Good Brothers are set to defend their Impact Tag Team Titles against Dark Order’s Evil Uno & Stu Grayson. Plus, MMA trainer Dan Lambert vowed to confront Lance Archer next week. Archer laid out Lambert on a Dynamite episode last month...after Lambert had bad-mouthed AEW. We got the first match announced for the premiere of Rampage on August 13th. It’ll be Dr. Britt Baker defending her AEW Women’s Championship against Red Velvet. We also learned the commentary team for Rampage will be Excalibur, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho and Taz. FTR’s Cash Wheeler is recovering from a nasty gash to his forearm. It happened during a match on last Wednesday’s Dynamite. On his Instagram, Wheeler said he’ll be fine...but he also added that he’s not sure when he’ll be cleared to return to action. AEW’s Tony Khan is responding to backlash over the latest pre-match rap by The Acclaimed’s Max Caster. It aired during Tuesday’s episode of Dark. But you can’t watch it on AEW’s YouTube now. It was removed from the show after it first aired. On Wednesday’s Busted Open Radio, Khan called the rap “terrible”...and added that he’ll be taking over editing of Dark and Dark: Elevation to prevent similar issues in the future. Also, Beyond Wrestling announced Wednesday that Caster will “no longer be appearing” on its show tonight. Beyond did not specify the reason for the change. (STINGER: New Japan) It appears former G1 Climax participants Jay White and Juice Robinson will NOT be part of this year’s tournament. New Japan announced upcoming live dates in the U.S. - at the Curtis Culwell Center just outside Dallas on September 25th and 26th...and at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on October 16th & 17th. White and Robinson are among the names announced for those shows. All four of those dates fall within the G1 schedule, which runs from September 18th through October 21st. (STINGER: WWE) Today’s NXT UK has a 30-Minute Iron Man Match between Jordan Devlin and A-Kid. Plus, Blair Davenport will be in action. (STINGER: ROH) Allysin Kay advanced in the Ring Of Honor women’s title tournament...after a submission victory over Willow. The match premiered on ROH’s YouTube on Wednesday. The Crash promotion in Mexico announced a “first recorded

This update is brought to you by the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Check out the new episode right now wherever you get your podcasts.. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Dynamite is back at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville tonight. It’s Homecoming! And a new match was just added to the card during Tuesday night’s episode of Dark. Matt Lee & Jeff Parker, the tag team known as Ever-Rise in WWE, will tag with Daniel Garcia...for a match against Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston...and Darby Allin. Already announced for tonight: Malakai Black makes his AEW in-ring debut against Cody Rhodes. Miro defends the TNT Championship against Lee Johnson. Chris Jericho faces his third “Labour Of Jericho” in the form of Juventud Guerrera. The Bunny goes one-on-one against LEGIT Leyla Hirsch in a match where the winner gets a shot at the NWA Women’s World Championship. Plus, Christian Cage vs. The Blade. Getting back to last night’s Dark… Leyla Hirsch submitted Diamante with a cross armbreaker. Big Swole attacked Diamante after the match. Pac submitted Jack Evans. After the match, Andrade El Idolo strolled out to tease a fight with Death Triangle. But Andrade thought better of it and walked away. The Acclaimed, Matt Hardy & The Blade beat the Varsity Blondes & Matt & Mike Sydal. Hardy pinned Mike Sydal after Blade knocked him out with a pair of brass knuckles. After the match, Jurassic Express ran out to cut off a post-match beatdown on the Sydal brothers. That cleared the ring for the Blondes to beat up on The Acclaimed. Eddie Kingston pinned Dante Martin in the main event...and Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta beat The Wingmen. Yuta pinned JD Drake. (STINGER: WWE) NEVER doubt the Power Of Love. Dexter Lumis LOST the “Love Her Or Lose Her” main event on last night’s NXT. He was distracted after Gargano pushed him into Indi Hartwell, who was standing at ringside...and Gargano hit One Final Beat and got the pin. BUT Hartwell would not accept the outcome. She ran back to the ring and shared a passionate moment with Lumis as the show ended. InDex lives! Trey Baxter pinned Joe Gacy to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament. The tag match between Hit Row’s Top Dolla & Ashante Adonis and Legado Del Fantasam’s Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza ended in an DQ win for Hit Row...some steel chair shots...and Santos Escobar STEALING THE GRILL of Isaiah SWERVE Scott. Roderick Strong pinned Bobby Fish with a backbreaker. Later, Kushida said he’ll give Strong a shot at his Cruiserweight Title. The Grizzled Young Veterans beat LA Knight & his butler Cameron Grimes. Knight refused to tag in, and that left Grimes to face the Vets alone. He was eventually pinned with the Ticket To Mayhem. After the match, Ted DiBiase came down to ringside to offer some encouragement to Grimes. Ridge Holland returned to in-ring action for the first time since his knee injury. He pinned Ikeman Jiro with a powerslam. (STINGER: New Japan) Another big name from New Japan is coming to the U.S. for Resurgence...in Los Angeles on August 14th. Tomohiro Ishii is set for a one-on-one match against Impact Wrestling’s Moose! Team Kamille and Team Pope advanced to the final round of the Champions Series on last night’s NWA Powerrr. The main event saw Team Pope’s Jax Dane pin Team Aldis’ Slice Boogie. Finally...some said news. Jody Hamilton - one half of the hall of fame tag team The Assassins - has passed away at the age of 82. No Holds Barred On Tonight’s WWE Raw. Bray Wyatt Released.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, August 2, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on WrestleMap.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight’s Raw is hyping a rematch from last week...with some added intrigue. It’s Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H. vs. Charlotte Flair in a No Holds Barred Match. Nikki’s title is NOT on the line. Also tonight, Riddle vs. one-half of the Raw Tag Champs Omos...And Goldberg is set to return to Raw. We could get an update on the future of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. One half of the champs, Natalya, revealed Friday she underwent surgery on the ankle she injured during a match on last Monday’s Raw. The big WWE news from over the weekend: The release of Bray Wyatt. He had been part of the WWE in one form or another since 2009 - his entire pro wrestling career. The main event of SummerSlam is set. Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against John Cena. A contract signing for a match between Reigns and Finn Balor went sideways on Friday’s SmackDown. Balor was jumped by Baron Corbin before he could sign the contract. Cena then took it from Corbin and signed it...and that’s apparently good enough for the legal department. Sasha Banks returned to SmackDown on Friday night. She aligned with Bianca Belair just long enough to win a tag match against Carmella and Zelina Vega...and then, Banks attacked Belair. (STINGER: AEW) Serena Deeb revealed over the weekend that a knee injury is keeping her out of action. Tonight’s AEW Dark: Elevation has Darby Allin vs. Bear Bronson. (STINGER: New Japan) A new match announced for New Japan’s Resurgence show in Los Angeles. The Good Brothers vs. Jon Moxley and a mystery partner. It won’t be Shota Umino. New Japan announced Umino will not appear at Resurgence due to travel restrictions in the United Kingdom. The Good Brothers won the Tag Team Turbulence tournament on New Japan Strong on Friday. Back in Japan, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI are STILL the NEVER Six Man Tag Champs. They beat Minoru Suzuki, Taichi & Zack Saber Jr. on Sunday. In Dragon Gate, there’s a new Open The Dream Gate Champion. YAMATO ended Shun Skywalker’s 259-day reign on Sunday. In Pro-Wrestling NOAH...Naomichi Marufuji had a successful defense of the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kazushi Sakuraba on Sunday. On the first day of Stardom’s 5 Star Grand Prix tournament over the weekend...Maika pinned the Wonder Of Stardom Champion Utami Hayashishita. (STINGER: Impact) W. Morrissey suffered his first loss in Impact Wrestling over the weekend. Eddie Edwards pinned him in a Hardcore Match on the Impact Plus exclusive Homecoming show Saturday night. Matthew Rehwoldt (RAY-walt) made his Impact debut. He joined up with Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo, and together they won the one-night mixed tag team tournament to crown the Homecoming king and queen. Title Match Added To Homecoming. Frankie Kazarian Returns To Impact.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, July 30, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: Impact) Some new matches are now added to Saturday night’s Impact Plus exclusive Homecoming show. Josh Alexander will defend the X-Division Championship against Black Taurus. That’s on top of the already announced Hardcore Match between W. Morrissey and Eddie Edwards...and a one-night mixed tag team tournament to crown the Homecoming king & queen. Another Impact Plus exclusive show was revealed last night. Emergence is set for August 21st - the same day at SummerSlam. Kenny Omega will defend the Impact World Championship on that show...against the winner of a battle royale that’s coming up in a couple weeks. The ELITE HUNTER Frankie Kazarian made a surprise appearance on last night’s Impact...helping Sami Callihan run off Omega and the Good Brothers. Kazarian is now set for a 6-Man Tag on next week’s Impact - tagging with Callihan and Eddie Edwards...against Omega and the Good Brothers. It’ll be Kazarian’s first match in Impact since he left the company back in 2014. Jay White’s first match in Impact was a loss. The Good Brothers beat White and Chris Bey. They pinned Bey with the Magic Killer. After the match, White made it clear that Bey is not YET a member of Bullet Club. Still, Bey later helped White stage an attack on David Finlay on Juice Robinson. Earlier...FinJuice, Fallah Bahh & No Way beat Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Rohit Raju & Shera. Finlay pinned Raju. Moose beat Chris Sabin in last night’s main event. Rich Swann & Willie Mack beat Violent By Design’s Rhino & Deaner. Swann pinned Rhino with a 450 Splash. Taylor Wilde handily defeated Kaleb With A K, pinning him with a bridging German suplex. Trey Miguel and Steve Maclin fought to a double countout on Before The Impact. It looks like Susan is gone...and Su Yung is back. A vignette last night showed her alongside an “undead” version of Kimber Lee. (STINGER: New Japan) Tonight’s New Japan Strong has the finals in the Tag Team Turbulence tournament. It’s the Good Brothers vs. Brody King & Chris Dickinson. Back in Japan, there’s a busy weekend ahead for the big promotions. New Japan has Summer Struggle shows on Friday and Saturday with an Elimination Tag Match in the main event on both days. Sunday’s show has the NEVER 6-Man Titles on the line in the main event. Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, and YOSHI-HASHI defend against Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi & Minoru Suzuki. Plus, the “farewell matches” for two Young Lions before they go on excursion. Yuya Uemura goes one-on-one with Kazuchika Okada...and Yota Tsuji faces Tetsuya Naito. Dragon Gate has a pair of big shows on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s show has Shun Skywalker defending the Open the Dream Gate Title against Kzy in the main event. Also, Pro-Wrestling NOAH has a big show on Sunday...with Naomichi Marufuji defending the GHC Heavyweight Title against Kazushi Sakuraba. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor’s women’s title tournament begins on this weekend’s ROH TV...with three first-round matches: Miranda Alize vs. Alex Gracia...Mazzerati vs. Nicole Savoy...and Sumie Sakai vs. Rok-C. Broadcaster Quinn McKay is officially IN the tournament. She won a fan vote on the ROH The Experience Facebook by an overwhelming majority. McKay will face Mandy Leon in the first round. That match is set for NEXT weekend’s ROH TV. (STINGER: WWE) WWE hosted a conference call for investors on Thursday. There was no confirmation of an upcoming show in Saudi Arabia...but information from WWE does reveal plans for a large-scale international event later this year. On Thursday’s NXT UK… Moustache Mountain beat Symbiosis. After the match, NXT UK Tag Champs Pretty Deadly strolled out to jaw at Trent Seven and Tyler Bate. The pecking order in NXT UK’s women’s division may be starting to take shape. Jinny beat Aoife Valkyrie thanks to a distraction from Joseph Conners...and Stevie Turner beat Aleah James. As of Thursday night, there is essentially NOTHING announced for tonight’s SmackDown. (STINGER: AEW) Domino’s Pizza told “Front Office Sports” the company is “reassessing” its “advertising presence” after a Domino’s ad appeared alongside the live broadcast of Nick Gage slicing Chris Jericho’s head with a pizza cutter during a picture-in-picture break on TNT during Wednesday’s Dynamite. BulletClub vs. The Elite On Tonight’s Impact Wrestling. Tanahashi Announced For #Resurgence.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, July 29, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: Impact) It’s Bullet Club vs. The Elite on tonight’s Impact Wrestling. Jay White - the leader of Bullet Club - tags with Chris Bey to take on one of Bullet Club’s founding members Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, who both now represent The Elite. Also tonight, a Slammiversary rematch between Moose and Chris Sabin… Rich Swann & Willie Mack vs. Violent By Design’s Rhino & Deaner. An 8-Man Tag: Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, Rohit Raju & Shera vs. FinJuice, Fallah Baah & No Way. Plus, Taylor Wilde vs. Kaleb With A K. Before The Impact will have Trey Miguel vs. Steve Maclin, who’s undefeated since he arrived in Impact. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan’s Hiroshi Tanahashi is coming to the United States. He appeared in a pre-recorded video on last night’s Dynamite...issuing a challenge to whoever holds the IWGP United States Champion. That’s still Lance Archer after he pinned Hikuleo last night. New Japan later announced that Archer will defend the title against Tanahashi on U.S. soil at the Resurgence show in Los Angeles on August 14th. The former IWGP U.S. Champ Jon Moxley delivered a message to Tanahashi on last night’s Dynamite. Mox accused The Ace of avoiding him for months. Mox is scheduled to appear at Resurgence as well. (STINGER: AEW) This will definitely NOT quiet the reports and rumors surrounding CM Punk possibly coming to AEW. Last night’s Dynamite was littered with some tantalizing hints. The big live event announcement promised last night was that Rampage in Chicago on Friday, August 20th will emanate from the United Center...and it will be a special called “The First Dance”. Then, Darby Allin delivered this message after being asked about Rampage in Chicago. (Allin Best In The World) That clip from last night’s Dynamite. In a Q&A published Wednesday, the New York Post directly asked Tony Khan if “AEW has signed and/or talked to any former WWE champions”. Khan had “no comment”. Last night’s show opened with the big 10-Man Elimination Tag between The Elite and Hangman Page & Dark Order. This match came down to Hangman in a 3-on-1 disadvantage against Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. Hangman managed to eliminate Matt Jackson - BUT the numbers proved to be too much as Omega eventually pinned Hangman with the One Winged Angel. The stipulation for the match stated that if Hangman’s side lost he would not get a shot at Omega’s AEW Championship. Nick Gage delivered in last night’s main event against Chris Jericho. This match had all the classic Gage weapons, from pizza cutters to light tubes to glass. A bloodied Jericho pinned Gage after spitting green mist into Gage’s face, smacking him in the head with a set of four light tubes...and then hitting the Judas Effect. After the match, MJF announced the THIRD “Labour Of Jericho” for next week: Chris Jericho vs. Juventud Guerrera in a match where Jericho must win with a top rope move. FTR beat Santana & Ortiz in a match where Cash Wheeler apparently suffered a bloody injury to his right arm. Christian Cage & Jurassic Express beat Private Party & Angelico. Christian pinned Marq Quen with a frog splash. After the match, Christian was laid out by The Blade. Also, Thunder Rosa pinned Julia Hart with the Fire Thunder Driver. (STINGER: WWE) The tens of thousands of fans expected to attend SummerSlam next month could be required to wear masks. Nevada issued an emergency order Wednesday, in response to the CDC’s new recommendation that people once again wear masks indoors to slow the spread of COVID-19.. Nevada’s order requires people in 12 counties to wear masks in public indoor spaces - regardless of whether they’re vaccinated or not. That includes Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium, the site for SummerSlam. Natalya tweeted a message Wednesday, thanking fans for their kind words following her apparent injury on Monday’s Raw - but she didn’t share any specifics on the injury itself or its severity. Today’s NXT UK is promoting a tag team showdown between Moustache Mountain and Symbiosis. Major League Wrestling’s Court Bauer responded to a question about the future of Fusion on YouTube by tweeting “MLW's days on YouTube are coming to an end.” Bauer added that he’ll share more information soon and tried to reassure fans that “it’s good news”. High Stakes On Tonight’s AEW Dynamite, New Match Added To Card.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, July 28, 2021. This update is brought to you by the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Check out the new episode with special guests Justin Idol and Tony Kincaid...right now wherever you get your podcasts.. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight’s AEW Dynamite is in Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s Fight For The Fallen. And a new match was just added to tonight’s card - Thunder Rosa going up against Julia Hart. Already announced for tonight…a high stakes 10-man Elimination Tag Match. The AEW Champion Kenny Omega, the AEW Tag Champs Young Bucks, & the Good Brothers) vs. Hangman Page & Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, John Silver, & Alex Reynolds. If Hangman’s side wins...he gets a title shot against Omega...and Dark Order gets a shot at the Bucks. BUT if The Elite wins...Hangman, the #1 ranked contender in AEW, will NOT get his title shot. Chris Jericho has a No Disqualification Match against former GCW Champion Nick Gage. This is the second “Labour Of Jericho”...as he seeks a match against MJF. The new IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer defends his title against Bullet Club’s Hikuleo. Plus, FTR vs. Santana & Ortiz...and Christian Cage & Jurassic Express vs. Private Party & Angélico On last night’s AEW Dark… Diamante used the ropes to steal a pinfall over Big Swole...and Dante Martin & The Varsity Blondes beat The Acclaimed & Ryan Nemeth. Martin pinned Nemeth. (STINGER: WWE) The main event for NXT TakeOver 36 is now official. The match was made on last night’s NXT. It’ll be Karrion Kross defending the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe. That was just one of the major developments from last night’s show. It appears Dakota Kai will challenge NXT Women’s Champ Raquel Gonzalez at TakeOver....after Kai turned on Gonzalez during an in-ring promo last night. Ridge Holland returned to NXT...and helped Pete Dunne & Oney Lorcan beat Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher. Dunne pinned Ciampa with the Bitter End. Holland had been out of action since he sustained a knee injury last October. Adam Cole beat Bronson Reed in last night’s main event...pinning him after hitting The Last Shot. Kyle O’Reilly laid out Cole after the match. Carmelo Hayes beat Josh Briggs to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament. Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner beat Hit Row’s Top Dolla & Ashante Adonis...after some ringside interference by Legado Del Fantasma. Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter beat Franky Monet & Jessi Kamea. Catanzaro pinned Monet after Robert Stone’s attempt to help Monet backfired. Mandy Rose was spotted huddling backstage with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan announced two matches for its Wrestle Grand Slam show coming up on September 4th. First, a rematch between Kazuchika Okada and Jeff Cobb. Okada pinned Cobb with a rollup at last Sunday’s Wrestle Grand Slam show. After the match, Cobb said he would be returning to the U.S. But apparently...that was a LIE! Cobb showed up at Tuesday’s Summer Struggle show for a post-match attack on Okada. Also announced for the Wrestle Grand Slam show on September 4th...Toru Yano will challenge Chase Owens for the KOPW 2021 trophy. (STINGER: ROH) Brain Milonas beat Joe Keys in a Pure Rules Match that premiered Wednesday on Ring Of Honor’s “Week By Week” YouTube show. Last night’s NWA Powerrr saw the first matches in the Champions Series. Team Pope’s Trevor Murdoch submitted Team Aldis’ Fred Rosser in the main event. Last night’s show is considered “Round 1” in the 4-team competition. Team Pope leads the way with 10 points. Team Aldis is scoreless after the first round. Kota Ibushi Pulled From More New Japan Shows, Status For Grand Slam In Doubt.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, July 21, 2021. This update is brought to you by Wrestling Mayhem Show. Check out the new episode right now wherever you get your podcasts. (STINGER: New Japan) Kota Ibushi’s status for the main event of New Japan’s Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome on Sunday...is in doubt. New Japan announced early Wednesday that Ibushi has been diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. It also clarified that this illness is not related to a recent COVID-19 vaccination that Ibushi received. He’s been pulled from all events through July 24th. The Dome show is on Sunday the 25th. Ibushi is set to challenge Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. New Japan is promising an update on Ibushi’s status before then. New Japan’s next stop on its Summer Struggle tour is on Thursday...with two singles matches topping the card: Tetsuya Naito vs. Taichi...and SANADA vs. Zack Sabre Jr. Two new matches are announced for New Japan’s Resurgence show in Los Angeles on August 14th: Karl Fredericks vs. Alex Coughlin...and a 6-Man Tag: Fred Rosser, Rocky Romero & Wheeler Yuta vs. TJP, Clark Connors & Ren Narita. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It’s Fyter Fest Night TWO! There’s a new match just announced last night - Darby Allin vs. Wheeler Yuta. Allin will have Sting in his corner. Yuta will have Orange Cassidy in his, as Yuta’s alliance with the Best Friends takes shape. Speaking of Cassidy, he’ll have a match of his own tonight...against The Blade. Dr. Britt Baker defends the AEW Women’s Championship tonight...against Nyla Rose. Jon Moxley puts the IWGP United States Championship on the line against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match. Chris Jericho begins his quest to fight his way through The Pinnacle to get to a match against MJF. Tonight, it’s Jericho vs. Shawn Spears...with the stipulation that Spears can use a steel chair, but Jericho can NOT. Also tonight, Frankie Kazarian vs. Doc Gallows. On last night’s Dark… The Bunny rolled up and pinned Big Swole with a handful of tights...after Diamante kicked Swole in the head while the referee’s back was turned. The Acclaimed & Private Party beat the Varsity Blondes & Dark Order’s Alan “5” Angels & 10. Angels took the pin after taking Private Party’s Gin & Juice and Max Caster’s top rope elbow drop. The Acclaimed talked trash on The Blondes after the match. That feud is far from settled. Dustin Rhodes beat Aaron Solo in the main event. In an interview with Diamond Dallas Page, Jake “The Snake” Roberts said he recently signed a new two-year contract extension with AEW. (STINGER: WWE) Samoa Joe spent last night’s episode of NXT looking for NXT Champion Karrion Kross. Joe is still upset about Kross choking him out at the end of last week’s show. There was virtually NO mention last night of Kross’ Raw debut on Monday night - where he was pinned by Jeff Hardy in less than two minutes. Kross finally showed up at the very end of last night’s NXT...standing over an unconscious GM William Regal in the parking lot. Kross sped away as Joe could only watch. Raquel Gonzalez is still the NXT Women’s Champion. She beat Xia Li in last night’s main event. The rest of Tian Sha were NOT on hand to back up Li. Flair had just defended the title against Rhea Ripley in the main event. Ripley won by disqualification when Flair hit her with the title belt. There were some big returns on last night’s Raw. Goldberg is back. He confronted WWE Champion Bobby Lashley...and informed him he’s “next”. Lashley had just pinned Keith Lee to win a non-title match. Bayley Suffers Major Injury. Men’s Money in the Bank Match Field Set.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, July 10, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on WrestleMap.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. We’ll get into the big events coming up this weekend in a moment, but first... (STINGER: WWE) WWE has lost a top star to a major injury. Bayley will be out of action for approximately 9 months after hurting her knee. WWE said it happened during a training session on Friday. Bayley was set to challenge Bianca Belair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in an “I Quit” Match at Money In The Bank. Obviously, that will NOT be happening now. Instead, Belair’s title defense will be moved up to next Friday’s SmackDown - the first in front of LIVE fans since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her challenger will be Carmella. Now...Carmella was set to be in the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match. But she’s now out of that match and will be replaced by Liv Morgan. The final two entrants in the men’s Money In The Bank match were decided on last night’s SmackDown. Seth Rollins qualified by pinning a bloodied Cesaro...and Shinsuke Nakamura is also in after he scored another win over Baron Corbin. At least three women from NXT are joining the SmackDown roster. Shotzi Blackheat & Tegan Nox debuted last night - announced simply as “Shotzi & Nox”. They were the surprise opponents for the WWE Women’s Tag Champs Natalya & Tamina...and they got the win. Shotzi pinned Natalya after a senton from the top rope. The third call-up is Toni Storm. A hype video last night announced that she’s “coming soon”. Jimmy Uso did appear on last night’s SmackDown. He and brother Jey took a beating from Edge and the returning Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the end of the show. Jimmy Uso was arrested and charged with D.U.I. earlier this week. A formal arraignment is scheduled for later this month. We now know that WWE’s Extreme Rules pay per view will be held on Sunday, September 26th...at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Major League Wrestling is back in front of live fans Saturday night at the 2300 Arena in bucolic and pastoral South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It’s Battle Riot III. The Battle Riot match is a 40-man battle royal with wrestlers entering in 60-second intervals. Eliminations are by pinfall, submission or going out over the top rope to the floor. The winner gets a shot at the MLW Heavyweight Championship held by Jacob Fatu. Davey Richards is gonna make his MLW debut. He’ll compete in the Riot match...and he’ll also go one-on-one against TJP. Richard Holliday will defend the Carribean Championship against King Muertes. Cesar Duran - the former Dario Cueto - will be in attendance in Philly. Plus, a Bunkhouse Brawl between the Von Erichs and Team Filthy’s Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku. The show will be broadcast on BeIN SPORTS starting at 10PM Eastern. (STINGER: ROH) On Sunday, Ring Of Honor presents its Best In The World pay per view. Rush defends the ROH World Championship against Bandido. Jonathan Gresham puts the Pure Title on the line against Mike Bennett. Dragon Lee challenges Tony Deppens for the TV Title. HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus defend the ROH Tag Titles in a Fight Without Honor against Chris Dickinson & Homicide. Shane Taylor Promotions defend the 6-Man Tag Titles against the makeshift team of Dalton Castle, Dak Draper & Eli Isom. Plus, Brody King vs. Jay Lethal...EC3 vs. Flip Gordon...The Briscoes vs. Brian Johnson & PJ Black...and Josh Woods vs. Silas Young in a Last Man Standing Match. There will also be TWO matches on Hour One of Best In The World, which will be free to watch on multiple platforms: DEMONIC Flamita vs. Rey Horus...and PCO & Danhausen vs. The Bouncers. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan confirmed Friday that its Wrestle Grand Slam show in Tokyo Dome will go on as scheduled on Sunday, July 25th...despite a new COVID-19 related state of emergency in Tokyo. The declaration will mean that New Japan will cease ticket sales for the show on July 11th. New Japan’s Summer Struggle tour begins Saturday...with the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title being defended in the main event. Sunday’s show has the tag titles being defended. Tetsuya Naito & SANADA will challenge Taichi & Zach Sabre Jr. Plus, KENTA returns to action. He’ll tag with Yujiro Takehashi against Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yota Tsuji. Impact’s X-Division Champion Josh Alexander was on last night’s New Japan Strong. He pinned Rocky Romero in the main event. Backstage, Alexander declared he’s not leaving New Japan anytime soon. Pro-Wrestling NOAH has a big show on Sunday...with Naomichi Marufuji defending the GHC Heavyweight Title in the main event against Takashi Sugiura. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, July 10. Our next update comes your way MONDAY morning. Enjoy your weekend, and be s

Fan Incident On AEW Dynamite. Surprise AEW Debut.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, July 8, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: AEW) The return of live touring for AEW last night in Miami. And there just had to be some trouble. A fan apparently tried to rush the ring during a face-to-face between Chris Jericho and MJF. Jericho could be seen taking a swing at the fan on TV before the fan was subdued by security. There was a big surprise during Dynamite. The former Aleister Black - who was identified on-air as both Tommy End and Malakai Black. He surprised Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson. The arena lights went out without warning...and when they came back on...Black was in the ring. He hit his signature spinning kick on BOTH Arn and Cody. Another instance of the arena lights going out happened earlier in the show during Cody’s strap match against QT Marshall...but it was played off as a technical glitch. Cody won that match, by the way. The Young Bucks are still the AEW Tag Team Champions. They narrowly escaped with the titles...but did find a way to beat Eddie Kingston & Penta El Zero Miedo in a Street Fight. This match saw Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, the Good Brothers and the ELITE HUNTER Frankie Kazarian all get involved. There were also thumbtacks. AEW Champion Kenny Omega was confronted in the ring...first by Evil Uno and Dark Order...and then by the #1 contender himself Hangman Page, who laid waste to the Good Brothers before Omega slipped away. Getting back to Jericho and MJF...the hurdles were laid out for Jericho to get another match against MJF. He’ll have to wrestle...and defeat...every other member of The Pinnacle in matches that will each have their own unique stipulations. The Pinnacle’s Wardlow, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler beat Inner Circle’s Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz. FTR hit the Big Rig on Hager and Wardlow got the pin. Andrade El Idolo’s AEW in-ring debut was a win over Matt Sydal. Orange Cassidy & Kris Statlander beat The Blade & The Bunny. Statlander pinned The Bunny with the Big Bang Theory. Stars from the MMA world were in attendance. Jorge Masvidal, Amanda Nunes and Dan Lambert. Lambert took the mic at one point and talked trash on AEW...only to be put down by Lance Archer. New matches announced for next week’s Fyter Fest special: Jon Moxley is set to return to Dynamite and defend the IWGP United States Championship against Karl Anderson. Yuka Sakazaki will return to AEW...in a match against Penelope Ford… And Christian Cage will go one-on-one against Matt Hardy. (STINGER: WWE) A future shot at the NXT UK Tag Team Titles is on the line on today’s NXT UK. Lewis Howley - one-half of the champs, Pretty Deadly - will face Mark Andrews. If Andrews wins, he and Flash Morgan Webster get a shot at the belts. Also on today’s show...Trent Seven vs. Eddie Dennis...and Nathan Frazer vs. Kenny Williams. WWE will air matches from the Rolling Loud rap festival in Miami on the July 23rd episode of SmackDown. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor on Wednesday awarded a ticket into its women’s championship tournament to Allie Recks. Unfortunately, Recks will not be able to take part due to major knee injury. Major League Wrestling announced Wednesday that Dave Prazak - the founder of Shimmer - is joining the league...to lead the launch of a women’s division. MLW says it plans to premiere its women’s division sometime this summer. All Japan announced that both Shuji Ishikawa and Black Menso-re tested positive for COVID-19. TAJIRI and ring announcer Ryo Okuda were in close contact with them. All four are now pulled from upcoming shows. Similar issues in Tokyo Joshi Pro. Pom Harajuku tested positive for COVID-19. Miyu Yamashita and Yuki Aino were in close contact with her. All three are off this weekend’s shows. The Japan Times reports the Japanese government will declare another COVID-related state of emergency in Tokyo - running through August 22nd. That would cover the full duration of summer Olympics which begin on July 23rd. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, July 8. (STINGER: WWE) Io Shirai & Zoey Stark are the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. They dethroned Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell on last night’s Great American Bash special. The match saw the return of Tegan Nox - heralded by the last “battery charging” video, that showed it finally reach 100%. Nox distracted LeRae...and Stark pinned Hartwell to get the win. Dexter Lumis carried Hartwell to the back after the match. LA Knight pinned Cameron Grimes with a headlock driver to retain the Million Dollar Championship. As a result, Grimes must now become Knight’s BUTLER. Adam Cole pinned Kyle O’Reilly with the Last Shot in the main event. MSK is still the NXT Tag Champs. They beat Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher.
