Charlotte Flair Out Of Action. Title Match, More Announced For WrestleMania.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, March 23, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) Charlotte Flair revealed why she’s been missing from WWE TV recently. She tweeted Monday night that she tested positive for COVID-19. Charlotte had challenged the Raw Women’s Champion Asuka to a title match at WrestleMania...but Charlotte never got an answer. Last night, Rhea Ripley arrived on Raw...challenged Asuka...and Ripley got the title match at Mania. Ripley’s challenge came after Asuka submitted Peyton Royce. More of the WrestleMania card is coming into focus. Randy Orton vs. The Fiend was made official...moments after Orton - who toted a can of gasoline to the ring to “summon” The Fiend - only to be taken down with a Sister Abigail. The Miz will face Bad Bunny one-on-one at Mania. Miz challenged Bad Bunny before he beat Jeff Hardy last night. After the match, Bad Bunny struck Miz from behind with a guitar...and accepted the challenge. Braun Strowman challenged Shane McMahon to a match at Mania...and Shane accepted, adding Braun can pick any match he wants. WWE also locked in SIX matches for Nights 1 and 2 Of Mania Night 1 Lashley vs Drew Banks vs Belair Miz vs Bad Bunny Night 2 Reigns vs Edge Asuka vs Ripley Orton vs. Fiend Last night’s Raw was a tough one for The Hurt Business. Drew McIntyre beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in a 2-on-1 match. As a result, they’re banned from ringside for McIntyre’s match against WWE Champ Bobby Lashley at Mania. Earlier, Alexander and Benjamin helped Lashley beat Sheamus in a non-title match. Lashley wasn’t very happy about that. He was even more upset after they lost to McIntyre. So, Lashley went into the Raw locker room and offered “an opportunity” to anyone who takes out McIntyre. As for Sheamus, he was later interviewed backstage when Riddle interrupted. So, Sheamus attacked him with his own scooter. New details on when WWE’s ThunderDome will need to move out of Tampa’s Tropicana Field. Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba was first to report...WWE’s time at the ballpark will end after a SmackDown taping on April 2nd. That likely means the final Raw and SmackDown episodes before WrestleMania will be pre-recorded. Alba added sources are telling him WWE is expected to keep the ThunderDome in the Tampa area - moving to the University of South Florida’s Yeungling Center. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight’s Impact Wrestling is promoting an appearance by AEW Champion Kenny Omega. Also, TJP gets a chance to win back the X-Division Championship he lost to Ace Austin. Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is in a non-title match against Jazz...and Karl Anderson vs. Eddie Edwards. (STINGER: AEW) On last night’s AEW Dark: Elevation…Ryo Mizunami used the Anaconda Vice to submit LEGIT Leyla Hirsch. Red Velvet and Big Swole beat Madi Wrenkowski and Leva Bates. After the match, the winners had a staredown with the trio of Nyle Rose, Vickie Guerrero...and Jade Cargill! Orange Cassidy used the Mouse Trap to pin Ryan Nemeth. After the match, Nemeth attacked Cassidy. Chuck Taylor ran off Nemeth...only to be attacked himself by JD Drake! Also last night, Danny Limelight submitted Baron Black. NWA Powerrr returns tonight. If you want to watch, you’ll need to go through FITE TV, where the shows are part of a new subscription bundle. (STINGER: ROH) This past weekend’s Ring Of Honor TV, the final stop before the 19th Anniversary pay per view on Friday. La Faccion Ingobernable beat The Foundation in the main event - an 8-man tag that ended with Bestia Del Ring pinning HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. Also on the show, Eli Isom scored an upset pinfall on Rey Horus. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan announced the cards for its Road To Sakura Genesis tour...and the big show itself on April 4th. On top of Kota Ibushi defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Will Ospreay...There will be a Junior Tag Title match - El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru defending against Roppongi 3K - SHO and YOH, who just returned from a torn ACL. The GHC National Title changed hands in Pro-Wrestling NOAH on Sunday. Kazuyuki Fujita dethroned Kenoh. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, March 23. Andrade Leaving WWE. The Fiend Returns At WWE Fastlane.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 22, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) Andrade is apparently getting what he wants. WWE announced Sunday night that it’s come to terms on his release. Andrade was a former United States and NXT Champion, but he hadn’t appeared on WWE TV since last October. Roman Reigns is still the Universal Champion, but his win over Daniel Bryan at Fastlane was FAR from conclusive. The end of last night’s main event saw the referee knocked out, putting the special enforcer Edge in the position of officiating the match. Bryan fought off a steel chair attack by Jey Uso. Then, went to hit Reigns, BUT Reigns and Bryan hit Edge instead. Moments later, Bryan got Reigns in the Yes Lock. Reigns was tapping, but Edge didn’t bother checking on Reigns. He just hit Bryan with the chair - hit Reigns too - and then, walked out. Reigns crawled on top of Bryan...a backup referee ran out...and Reigns got the pin. The Fiend is BACK. He emerged in the flesh for the first time since December to help Alexa Bliss defeat Randy Orton. Before Bliss even made her entrance, Orton coughed up some BLACK GOO! After the bell rang, Bliss conjured a wall of flames...and lured Orton around the ring, where a lighting rig nearly fell on him. Back in the ring, Bliss shot a fireball at Orton. It didn’t do much damage. But THEN, a hand reached up through a hole in the ring - followed by more flames! The Fiend then emerged from the hole, sporting a new, charred look that calls back to last December, when Orton lit The Fiend on fire. Anway, The Fiend hit Sister Abigail...and Bliss PINNED Orton. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Dissension between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair cost them the match...as Baszler rolled up Belair for the pin. After the match, Banks chewed out Belair and slapped her in the face. There was a confusing ending to the Intercontinental Title match between Big E and Apollo Crews. Big E appeared to roll up Crews for the pin, but Crews just kept beating up on Big E for a little while longer. Riddle retained his United States Championship by pinning Mustafa Ali. After the match, Ali berated Retribution...and paid the price for it. Reckoning and Slapjack walked out on him...and then, T-Bar and Mace hit Ali with a double chokeslam. Drew McIntyre beat Sheamus in a hard-hitting No Holds Barred Match. Seth Rollins pinned Shinsuke Nakamura. The match between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman announced on last Monday’s Raw did NOT happen. Shane claimed he suffered a knee injury during training. So, Strowman beat Elias instead. The 24/7 Championship changed hands at Fastlane. R-Truth briefly lost it to an Old Spice pitchman. Truth quickly got his baby back afterward. Tonight’s Raw is promoting an appearance by Rhea Ripley The NXT Championship will be defended in the main event of Night 2 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver...coming up on Thursday, April 8th...exclusively on Peacock. (STINGER: AEW) AEW is promoting a “triple main event” for tonight’s Dark: Elevation: LEGIT Leyla Hirsch vs. Ryo Mizunami...Orange Cassidy vs. Ryan Nemeth...and Ethan Page vs. Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay pinned Shingo Takagi on Sunday to win the New Japan Cup tournament. Ospreay’s win means he will challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the Sakura Genesis show on April 4th. Ospreay and Ibushi were face to face at the end of Sunday’s show. That’s when Ospreay shockingly delivered a no-look cutter to his girlfriend Bea Priestley. (Ospreay Attacks Priestley) That clip from New Japan’s social media. Sunday’s show opened with the return of YOH. He’s been out with a torn ACL since last July. YOH said he and his Roppongi 3K teammate SHO want a shot at the Jr. Tag Titles - currently held by El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Nick Aldis is still the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He used an inside cradle to pin Aron Stevens in the main event of Sunday’s Back For The Attack pay per view. Kamille delivered a pair of spears and pinned Thunder Rosa.. to become the #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s NWA Women’s Title. The show also saw the NWA debut of former TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell...who declared she also wants a shot at Deeb. Trevor Murdoch used a Sunset Flip to pin Chris Adonis...and retain his National Heavyweight Championship. Adonis attacked Murdoch after the match. The Pope retained his NWA TV Title...after his defense against Thom Lattimer ended in a time limit draw. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 22. Earthquake Rattles New Japan Pro Wrestling. WWE Fastlane Preview.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Sunday, March 21, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan’s show on Saturday was interrupted...by an earthquake. A magnitude 7.0...centered just over 30 miles northeast of Sendai...where the show was held. No major damage was reported. There were some minor injuries. In the arena in Sendai, the quake happened during a match. It shook video cameras and rattled lighting fixtures. The match immediately came to a halt. There was a 20 minute delay as the safety of the arena was confirmed. The semifinal matches in the New Japan Cup went on AFTER the earthquake delay. In the main event, Shingo Takagi pinned EVIL. Will Ospreay exploited a leg injury to David Finlay to punch his ticket. The tournament final between Ospreay and Takagi is the main event of Sunday’s show at the same arena that hosted Saturday’s. It’s a rematch of the 2019 Best Of The Super Juniors final, which was won by Ospreay. Also on Sunday’s card...Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi will team up against BULLET CLUB’s Jay White, Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens. Okada, Tanahashi & Ibushi were victorious in a 6-man tag Saturday - the match that was interrupted by the earthquake. There was some tension between all three men during the match. (STINGER: WWE) WWE presents its Fastlane pay per view tonight. The main event has Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan. Edge will be the special enforcer. Apollo Crews challenges Big E for the Intercontinental Championship. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defend the WWE Women’s Tag Titles against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Mustafa Ali gets a shot at Riddle’s United States Championship. Also being promoted for tonight - Randy Orton going one-on-one with Alexa Bliss. Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus in a No Holds Barred Match. And Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. WWE’s website no longer has any mention of a match between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman, which was announced during Monday night’s Raw. Fastlane is the first big test for the WWE Network on Peacock, its new streaming home in the United States. Subscribers still have the option to watch on the “original” network. It’s still up and running through April 4th. A title match announced Saturday for NXT’s big event during WrestleMania week. Io Shirai will defend her women’s title against Raquel Gonzalez on Night 1 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. That will be broadcast on the USA Network on Wednesday, April 7th. Night 2 is exclusive to Peacock. WWE is promoting that Rhea Ripley will appear on Monday’s Raw. The NWA returns to pay per view today with Back For The Attack, starting at 4PM Eastern. Three title matches are on the card: Nick Aldis is defending the Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Aron Stevens in the main event. Trevor Murdoch defends his National Heavyweight Championship against Chris Adonis. And The Pope puts the NWA TV Title on the line against Thom Lattimer. Also on the card...Kamille vs. Thunder Rosa - The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s NWA Worlds Women’s Championship. Plus, Kratos vs. Tyrus...and a 4-Way involving Jax Dane...Crimson...Jordan Clearwater...and Slice Boogie. The show will emanate from the same Atlanta studio that hosted the tapings of NWA Powerrr. Talking Mayhem Mania Round 8!
It must be Mayhem Mania season! Every year, we bring together fans, wrestlers and other folks. Our goal is to construct the BEST WrestleMania card that’s currently possible. Everyone under a WWE contract is eligible to use, as are those who are within the orbit of WWE’s influence. If Vince McMahon can do it, we can do it! If you’re just tuning in, here’s how we got to this point. Mayhem Mania 2021 – Opening Round Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 1 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 2 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 3 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 4 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 5 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 6 Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 7 There are two “tiers” to Mayhem Mania. The 8-match “undercard”, where our players create and make changes to matches, and the SUPERCARD. To reach the SUPERCARD, a match must survive three rounds on the “undercard” without being altered in any way. So far, only one match has made it. MAYHEM MANIA 2021 SUPERCARD Raquel Gonzalez vs. Beth Phoenix (Created by Tina Keys) That’s a pretty darn good match, but we still have a lot of work to do. Not everyone is eligible to use in Mayhem Mania. They must be under a WWE contract or otherwise within WWE’s orbit of influence. Also, everyone comes in their current physical/contractual/etc. state (We are ignoring COVID-19 diagnoses because this is supposed to be a fun diversion, not a reminder of the terrible things happening around us.). Simply put, if Vince McMahon can’t do it, you can’t do it! Other wrestlers are not eligible to use because one of our players has sent them to SPACE JAIL. “Cell numbers” correspond with the numbers on our prize wheel. Every week we spin our prize wheel to give one of the SPACE JAIL inmates a chance to escape, and we had an escape just before Round 8. Shane McMahon is now OUT of SPACE JAIL! 5 players were invited onto the Wrestling Mayhem Show for the latest round of Mayhem Mania 2021. Each can make ONE of the following changes to our card: – SWAP one wrestler or team with one in another match on the card or replace them with a wrestler or team not currently on the card – ADD a wrestler or team to an existing match – DELETE a match in its entirety and replace it with a new match using entirely new wrestlers – SUBTRACT an individual from an exisiting match. – MATCH SWAP: This year, we have a designated “cinematic match” slot on our card. A player can choose to swap an existing match on the card for the match currently in that “cinematic match” slot. With all that business out of the way, here’s how things went down during Round 8 of Mayhem Mania. Move #1 (by Chad The Shad) ADD WALTER to Cesaro vs. Pete Dunne vs. Keith Lee Move #2 (by Bobbyfjtown) DELETE Bayley & Bad Bunny vs. Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis and CREATE Legado Del Fantasma vs. Breezango & RJ City Move #3 (by Alex Kahrs) ADD Bad Bunny to Big E vs. Bronson Reed Move #4 (by Tina Keys) DELETE Big E vs. Bronson Reed vs. Bad Bunny and CREATE Sasha Banks vs. Meiko Satomura Move #5 (by Honey Badger) SWAP Candice LeRae & Johnny Gargano for Rhea Ripley & Aleister Black Round 8 is in the books, and we have FOUR newly created matches on our “undercard” Alexa Bliss & Bray Wyatt vs. Taya & Johnny Mundo vs. Rhea Ripley & Aleister Black (Created by Honey Badger) (*Designated as “cinematic match”) Legado Del Fantasma vs. Breezango & RJ City (Created by Bobbyfjtown) Sasha Banks vs. Meiko Satomura (Created by Tina Keys) Keith Lee vs. Pete Dunne vs. Cesaro vs. WALTER (Created by Chad The Shad) Here are the four matches that survived the round without being altered in any way. Randy Orton vs. Papa Shango (Created by Sorgatron) Drew McIntyre vs. Adam Cole (Created by Jim LaMotta) Cameron Grimes vs. Xavier Woods (Created by Bobbyfjtown) Kushida vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Elias vs. Roman Reigns (Created by Alex Kahrs) Alex Kahrs’ match did not survive the round. So, he’ll be invited back next week under the application of the “Alex Kahrs Rule”. We have only one “normal” week left during Mayhem Mania 2021. The grand finale, Patreon In The Bank, is coming up on Tuesday, March 30. ONLY Patreon supporters of the Wrestling Mayhem Show will be invited to play during that round. If you want in, head to patreon.com/wrestlingmayhemshow. Your support will help the show and get you in on the fun. New On-Sale Date For WrestleMania Tickets. Day One For WWE Network On Peacock.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, March 18, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: WWE) WWE has set a new date for the sale of tickets for WrestleMania. They’ll go on sale to the general public...Friday morning at 10AM Eastern. There will also be an exclusive presale for fans who register online. That starts THIS MORNING at 10AM. The Tampa Bay Times reports capacity is set at 25,000 for each of the two nights - about the same as last month’s Super Bowl...and health and safety protocols will be similar to those at the Super Bowl. It’s day one of the “Peacock Era”. WWE Network goes live today on Peacock - its new exclusive home in the United States. The “original” Network will still be up until April 4th. So, Sunday’s Fastlane pay per view will air on both Peacock and the “original” network. Your current WWE Network account will NOT automatically be transferred over to Peacock. WWE is telling network subscribers to “be on the lookout for an email with more specific directions.” Bottom line, if you want to watch WWE Network after April 4th, you will need to sign up for Peacock. WWE has updated the FAQ on its website with info on remaining balances, gift cards, canceled accounts, automatic billing and more. Finn Balor will defend the NXT Championship against Karrion Kross at the two-night Takeover: Stand & Deliver event during WrestleMania week. But WWE did NOT specify whether that match will happen on Night 1 on the USA Network...or the Night 2 show on Peacock. Balor and Kross teamed up in the main event of last night’s NXT - challenging Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for their tag titles. The match ground to a halt after Burch appeared to suffer an injury. He never returned to the match, so Lorcan had to go it alone. Balor accidentally knocked down Scarlett. That was enough for Kross. He turned on Balor..and Lorcan pinned Balor to retain the tag titles. Kross continued to beat up on Balor after the match. NXT UK Champion WALTER made a surprise appearance on last night’s NXT...and laid out Tommaso Ciampa. WWE’s two Cruiserweight Champions came face-to-face. Jordan Devlin confronted Santos Escobar...and they agreed to decide the one, true cruiserweight champ at TakeOver. We should mention quickly - Devlin is set to defend his Cruiserweight Championship on today’s NXT UK...against Trent Seven. Today’s episode has a special start time - of 4PM Eastern. Getting back to last night’s NXT… Kyle O’Reilly was barred from Capital Wrestling Center last night - but sent in a video to vow revenge against Adam Cole. Later, cameras spotted police outside the CAC, with both Cole and O’Reilly in handcuffs. Dexter Lumis beat Austin Theory. NXT Women’s Champ Io Shirai delivered a contract for a title match to Raquel Gonzalez. I assume she’ll sign it. (STINGER: AEW) A brutal, bloody and historic main event on last night’s Dynamite. Dr. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa brought out tables, ladders and even thumbtacks during their Unsanctioned Lights Out - Anything Goes - Match. Dr. Baker was powerbombed onto the tacks...and later, Thunder Rosa drove her through a table at ringside...and got the pin. Penta El Zero Miedo kicked out of the Crossroads and even got in his signature arm breaker on Cody Rhodes, but moments later Rhodes caught Penta with a rollup to steal the pin. Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston beat the Good Brothers. After the match, Kenny Omega joined the Good Brothers for a post-match attack. They Pillmanized Kingston’s leg. Then, they set up for another with a steel chair wrapped around Moxley’s HEAD. The Young Bucks ran out to stop them...and even refused a Too Sweet from Omega. MJF’s new faction has a name. The crew that includes Wardlow, FTR, Tully Blanchard and Shawn Spears will be known as...The Pinnacle. Brian Cage broke ranks from Team Taz...to tell Sting he respects him. (STINGER: New Japan) The other half of the New Japan Cup’s “final four” is being decided this morning. It’s Will Ospreay vs. SANADA...and Jay White vs. David Finlay. The semifinal matches are happening Saturday. Warrior Wrestling announced late Wednesday that Kylie Rae will defend that promotion’s women’s title at their show in Chicago on June 5th. It would be Kylie Rae’s first match since she stepped away from pro wrestling last November. David Marquez says he will not be part of the revival of NWA Powerrr starting next Tuesday. He said in a statement Wednesday he “wasn’t invited back”. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, March 18. WWE NXT Preview. Historic Main Event On AEW Dynamite. AEW Dark Results. Maki Itoh’s Future Plans.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, March 17, 2021. This update is brought to you by the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Check out the new episode with special guests, comedian Aaron Kleiber AND Honey Badger, right now wherever you get your podcasts. (STINGER: WWE) There’s added interest surrounding what - and who - we’ll see on tonight’s NXT. WWE is promoting LA Knight’s in-ring debut...along with a match between Dexter Lumis and Austin Theory. Also, NXT UK’s Jordan Devlin is set to appear. Devlin is one of WWE’s TWO recognized Cruiserweight Champions. Santos Escobar being the other. It appears that situation is finally coming to a head. (STINGER: AEW) Some big matches are set for tonight’s Dynamite. The main event is a first-on-Dynamite Unsanctioned Lights Out Match - Anything Goes - between Dr. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa. (Baker Unsanctioned Match) Baker speaking with the Miami Herald’s Jim Varsallone. Also on tonight’s Dynamite..Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston vs. The Good Brothers… Cody Rhodes vs. Penta El Zero Miedo... WrestleMania Ticket Sales On Hold. Two Title Matches Announced For Mania. New Matches Added To WWE Fastlane.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, March 16, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on OccupyProWrestling.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. (STINGER: WWE) Today was supposed to be the day - but instead, WWE announced last night that the ticket sales for WrestleMania are on hold - being moved as “plans for the event are still being finalized.” WWE is promising to announce a new on-sale date within the next week. This didn’t prevent WWE from announcing TWO title matches for WrestleMania during last night’s Raw. One of the main events is set - Bobby Lashley defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. Also announced for Mania - The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will defend the Raw Tag Titles they just won from The Hurt Business on last night’s Raw. They’ll be challenged by AJ Styles and Omos, who’ll be making his in-ring debut at WrestleMania. We got some matches made for Fastlane coming up on Sunday. McIntyre will face Sheamus. McIntyre submitted The Miz with The Hurt Lock on last night’s Raw. Sheamus lost to Lashley in the Raw main event. Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman were set for a match last night, but Shane used a video camera to get the jump on Braun...and got him in position to hit his elbow drop from the top rope through the announce table. Then, Shane dumped GREEN GOO on Braun. Shane and Braun are now set for a rematch at Fastlane. Alexa Bliss issued a challenge to Randy Orton, and WWE says those two will go one-on-one at Fastlane. Also last night, Riddle retained the United States Championship against Mustafa Ali. Women’s Champion Asuka returned to Raw...snuck in a pin on Shayna Baszler...and then continued to beatdown after the match...as she sought vengeance for the kick to the face from Baszler that put her out of action. Bad Bunny relinquished the 24/7 Championship to R-Truth Later, Bad Bunny was laid out in the ring by a guitar shot from The Miz. (STINGER: AEW) Tony Khan announced Monday that LEGIT Leyla Hirsch has officially signed with AEW. Khan also appeared in-person on last night’s debut episode of AEW Dark: Elevation...and made a non-title match between AEW Champ Kenny Omega and Matt Sydal for NEXT WEEK’s Dynamite. The debut episode of AEW Dark: Elevation had a runtime of just over two hours. Riho beat Maki Itoh in the main event. QT Marshall beat Marko Stunt. After the match, QT just walked away as PRETTY Peter Avalon and his crew ran out to beat up Stunt. Also, Max Caster from The Acclaimed beat Top Flight’s Dante Martin. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight’s Impact Wrestling will spotlight a couple key feuds that were not featured on last Saturday’s Sacrifice show... We’ll get Sami Callihan vs. Trey Miguel...and Mahabali Shera vs. Rohit Raju. The new Impact Tag Champs Juice Robinson and David Finlay have a non-title match against XXXL. Plus, a 12-woman tag team match - Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee, Susan...the Knockouts Tag Champs - Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz...and Tenille Dashwood VS. Jordynne Grace, Jazz, ODB, Alisha, Havok and Nevaeh. (STINGER: ROH) A new match announced for Ring Of Honor’s 19th Anniversary pay per view - An Unsanctioned Match between Matt Taven and Vincent. On Ring Of Honor’s weekend TV...Tony Deppen upset Kenny King...Flamita beat Flip Gordon, thanks to an assist from Mark Briscoe...and Dak Draper beat Fred Yehi in a Pure Rules Match. A new match announced for the NWA’s Back For The Attack pay per view: Thunder Rosa vs. Kamille. The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb’s NWA Women’s World Championship. (STINGER: New Japan) The New Japan Cup is down the final eight...with the first two quarter final matches happening this morning. The last of the second round matches were held Monday...with Jay White beating Hiroshi Tanahashi...and David Finlay beating YOSHI-HASHI. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, March 16. Live Attendance Goal For WrestleMania. Title Match Added To WWE Fastlane. Two Title Matches On WWE Raw.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 15, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from the weekend’s New Japan Cup matches...and Sunday’s Pro-Wrestling NOAH show are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: WWE) WrestleMania could see the largest live crowd for a sports or entertainment event since things were shut down just over a year ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Spectrum Sports 360’s Jon Alba - and others - are reporting WWE is now aiming for 45,000 live fans at Raymond James Stadium on BOTH nights of Mania. The Super Bowl hosted just under 25,000 fans in that same stadium last month. WrestleMania tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow. An Intercontinental Title match added to Fastlane - Big E will defend against Apollo Crews. TWO title matches set for tonight’s Raw. Riddle defending the U.S. Championship against Mustafa Ali. And the Raw Tag Team Titles on the line - Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander from The Hurt Business...defending against The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight is the debut episode of AEW Dark: Elevation - airing on AEW’s YouTube channel starting at 7PM. The main event is Riho vs. Maki Itoh. At least TEN other matches are also on the card. (STINGER: Impact) AEW Champion Kenny Omega will face Impact Wrestling’s new Unified World Champion Rich Swann in a Title vs. Title Match at the Rebellion pay per view on April 24th. Swann defeated Moose in the main event of Saturday night’s Sacrifice show to unify the Impact and TNA Championships. New Japan’s Juice Robinson and David Finlay are the NEW Impact Tag Team Champions. They beat the Good Brothers at Sacrifice. Ace Austin is once again the X-Division Champion. He dethroned TJP. Deonna Purrazzo retained her Knockouts Championship against ODB. Fire & Flava held onto the Knockouts Tag Titles. Jazz accidentally hit her partner Jordynne Grace...and that allowed Kiera Hogan to pin Grace. Rhino returned to Impact TV...and joined Violent By Design. He delivered a Gore to Chris Sabin - helping Joe Doering and Deaner beat Sabin and James Storm. Eddie Edwards beat Brian Myers in their Hold Harmless Match. The main event of the NWA’s Back For The Attack pay per view on March 21st - is Nick Aldis defending the Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Aron Stevens. (STINGER: New Japan) The last of second round matches in the New Japan Cup are happening this morning - Jay White vs. Hiroschi Tanahashi...and David Finlay vs. YOSHI-HASHI. The quarterfinals begin on Tuesday’s show...with Shingo Takagi vs. KENTA...and EVIL vs. Toru Yano. Shingo got past Hirooki Goto on Saturday’s show. Earlier, KENTA beat Minoru Suzuki. In Sunday’s second round matches, a bloodied Will Ospreay beat Zack Sabre, Jr....and SANADA beat Yuji Nagata. Former GHC Heavyweight Champion Go Shiozaki is expected to miss six MONTHS of action. He announced he’s taking time off for shoulder surgery. Meanwhile, the man who dethroned Shiozaki, Keiji Muto, is still the reigning GHC Champ. He submitted Kaito Kiyomiya at Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s “Great Voyage” show Sunday. After the match, Masa Kitamiya confronted Muto and challenged him to a title match. Also on that show, Atsushi Kotoge beat Seiki Yoshioka to win the GHC Jr. Heavyweight title. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 15. Impact Sacrifice Preview. Edge Set For Match On SmackDown. Banks To Defend Women’s Title.

Results from Friday’s SmackDown and New Japan Strong are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: Impact) A title unification match headlines Impact’s Sacrifice show tonight. It’s Impact World Champion Rich Swann and TNA Champ Moose. The winner tonight gets BOTH belts...AND he gets AEW Champion Kenny Omega in a Title vs. Title Match at the Rebellion pay per view on April 24th. Also on tonight’s show - New Japan’s Juice Robinson and David Finlay challenge the Good Brothers for the Impact Tag Titles. Ace Austin goes after TJP’s X-Division Championship. Deonna Purrazzo puts the Knockouts Championship on the line against ODB. Fire And Flava defend the Knockouts Tag Titles against Jordynne Grace & Jazz. Decay vs. Reno Scum Sacrifice is an Impact Plus exclusive show. (STINGER: WWE) Last night’s SmackDown set up a couple big matches for NEXT Friday. Edge will wrestle on SmackDown for the first time in ELEVEN years...next week against Jey Uso. The winner will be the special enforcer for the Universal Title match at Fastlane between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. Also next Friday, Nia Jax will get a shot at Sasha Banks’ SmackDown Women’s Championship. Banks and Bianca Belair lost a tag match to Natalya and Tamina last night. Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Reginald were at commentary during the match. Banks eventually went after Reggie. That distracted Belair, and allowed Tamina to steal the pin with a rollup. Banks and Belair were arguing after the match. Big E returned to SmackDown. He issued an open challenge for his Intercontinental Title. Sami Zayn beat King Corbin to the ring to answer. Big E beat Zayn. After the match, Apollo Crews attacked Big E from behind. An 8-man tag ended with Montez Ford pinning one-half of the SmackDown tag champs, Robert Roode. Cesaro beat Murphy for the second straight week - this time via disqualification when Seth Rollins got involved. He hit a pair of Curb Stomps...tried a third with Cesaro’s head wrapped in a steel chair - but the refs stopped Rollins. Rollins later had a brief staredown with Shinsuke Nakamura. NXT referee Tom Castor was in the ring Wednesday night for the women’s title match between Io Shirai and Toni Storm. But the following day, he says he tore his biceps...and it will require surgery. Castor spent 10 months on the shelf after he suffered a gruesome broken ankle during a match in 2019. (STINGER: AEW) AEW has a lot more planned for Monday’s debut episode of Dark: Elevation than the five matches announced Thursday. It’s now an ELEVEN match card - including matches for Miro & Kip Sabian...Big Swole...and an 8-man tag with The Butcher & The Blade and Private Party teaming up on one side. One-Half of The Acclaimed, Anthony Bowens, responded to a report that he recently had knee surgery. Bowens tweeted “What you’ve seen the last 4 months was me basically wrestling on 1 leg.” He promised plenty of Acclaimed content every week while he’s away from the ring. More injury news - veteran pro wrestler B-Boy announced on Twitter that he suffered a ruptured Achilles while working a match for AEW this week. (STINGER: ROH) Another title match added to Ring Of Honor’s 19th Anniversary pay per view - Shane Taylor Promotions will defend the ROH 6-man Tag Titles against Bandido, Flamita and Rey Horus. (STINGER: New Japan) The Second Round of the New Japan Cup tournament rolls on this morning. Two more Second Round matches are set for Sunday’s show - Will Ospreay vs. Zack Sabre Jr….and Yuji Nagata vs. SANADA. Two qualifying matches for the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup on last night’s New Japan Strong - Fred Rosser beat JR Kratos...and Hikuleo beat Jordan Clearwater. A big show from Pro-Wrestling NOAH coming up on Sunday. The main event has Keiji Mutoh defending his GHC Heavyweight Championship for the first time...against Kaito Kiyomiya. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, March 13. Our next update comes your way Monday morning. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and be sure to subscribe to this feed. Earlier, Toru Yano tried just about every trick in his playbook against Great-O-Khan, including tying Great-O-Khan’s ponytail to a ringside barrier. Great-O-Khan produced a pair of scissors to free himself...then, tried unsuccessfully to STAB Yano with them. NXT TakeOver STAND and DELIVER Announced. WWE NXT Women’s Tag Titles Introduced And Defended.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, March 11, 2021. Thanks to those of you listening on TheWrestlingRevolution.com. You can bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. Results from Wednesday’s New Japan Cup matches, AEW Dynamite and MLW Fusion are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: WWE) NXT delivered not two, but THREE title matches along with TWO big announcements last night. We learned last night that the next TakeOver: Stand & Deliver...will be a two-night event during WrestleMania week. Night 1 is Wednesday, April 7th on the USA Network. Night 2 is the following night, and will air exclusively on Peacock. GM William Regal also introduced the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships - and awarded them to Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. Their title reign didn’t last long. They were dethroned later in the show - by Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Finn Balor is still the NXT Champion. He pinned Adam Cole, after a timely distraction from a returning Kyle O’Reilly. After the match, O’Reilly went wild as he attacked Cole. When the smoke cleared, Balor found himself face-to-face with Karrion Kross as the show went off the air. Io Shirai submitted Toni Storm to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. NXT UK’s Jordan Devlin - The WWE Cruiserweight Champion - is coming to the United States...and he plans to challenge Santos Escobar - who is also recognized as WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Today’s NXT UK has a Heritage Cup Rules between Tyler Bate and Dave Mastiff. Also, a mixed tag: Jinny and Joseph Conners vs. Piper Niven and Jack Starz WWE will hold a Hall Of Fame induction ceremony on the Tuesday before WrestleMania. That will air exclusively on Peacock. The class of 2020 will finally be inducted - along with a new class for 2021. The first member of the new class announced Wednesday is Molly Holly. (STINGER: AEW) A big shake-up in AEW closed last night’s Dynamite. Chris Jericho and MJF both revealed their plots to betray one another. Sammy Guevara returned to expose MJF’s plot to oust Jericho from the Inner Circle. The original members of the group stayed loyal to Jericho, but MJF was a step ahead. The lights went out...and when they came back on...MJF’s new faction was revealed - Wardlow, FTR, Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard. They laid waste to the Inner Circle...the final blow was Wardlow powerbombing Jericho off the stage. The follow-up to the Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match at Revolution - included a pre-taped promo from Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley. Kingston tied up the only real loose end left - saying the panic of the moment caused him to black out as the expected explosion Sunday night turned out to be a “dud”. Later, Kenny Omega, Don Callis and the Good Brothers were in the ring mocking both men. Kingston came out, eventually punched Omega in the face. Moxley followed...and then, Christian Cage made his first appearance on Dynamite - and mixed it up with Omega. Mox and Kingston will face The Good Brothers on next week’s Dynamite. The main event of next week’s show will be Dr. Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match. Baker beat down Rosa...after Rosa, Hikaru Shida and Ryo Mizunami beat Baker, Nyla Rose and Maki Itoh. Thunder Rosa pinned Itoh. Darby Allin used a roll-up to beat Scorpio Sky and retain the TNT Championship. Sky attacked Allin after the match. Rey Fenix pinned Matt Jackson. SCU was shown watching from the crowd. The commentary team said SCU will challenge the winner of the upcoming tag title match between the Young Bucks and Fenix & Pac. SCU has stated that if they lose another tag match, they’ll be done as a team. The other member of Death Triangle, Penta El Zero Miedo, got in the face of Cody Rhodes...and those two will meet next week. Ethan Page’s Dynamite debut was a win over Lee Johnson...but it was overshadowed by audio problems for viewers watching on TNT. (STINGER: New Japan) The second round of the New Japan Cup is getting underway this morning with a pair of matches. The tour is taking a couple days off before resuming on Saturday. The first round matches wrapped up Wednesday with Jay White beating Toa Henare. White will face Hiroshi Tanahashi in the Second Round. Also on Wednesday, David Finlay beat Chase Owens and YOSHI-HASHI beat Yujiro Takahashi. They will meet in the Second Round. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, March 11. New Details On WWE Network’s Move To #PeacockTV. On-Sale Date Announced For WrestleMania Tickets.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, March 9, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on OccupyProWrestling.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: [email protected]. Results from Monday night’s Raw and Ring Of Honor’s weekend TV are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: WWE) We’re learning more about the WWE Network’s jump to Peacock in the United States. In a news release Monday, we learned there will NOT be an automatic migration for existing network subscribers. They’ll need to sign up for Peacock Premium on their own. Peacock is running a special offer for the next month - FOUR months of Peacock Premium access for $9.99. If you have Comcast or Cox cable, you may already get Peacock Premium for free. WWE’s Peacock Era begins March 18th. There will be an “overlap” period. On Monday, we learned that’ll last a little over two weeks - ending on April 4th. That’s when the existing WWE Network app will cease operation. We also got more details about the Network content on Peacock. Not everything currently on the Network will be available when it launches on Peacock. WWE said Peacock is promising to have the entire network archive “available to stream on demand before SummerSlam”. At launch, the WWE Network on Peacock is promising every pay per view over the last calendar year... NXT episodes the day after they air... Raw and SmackDown episodes 30 days after they air… Plus, WWE original programming and documentaries. Live fans WILL be in attendance at WrestleMania. WWE announced tickets go on sale next Tuesday. There will also be an exclusive presale opportunity for fans who register. Last night’s Raw opened with the new WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defending against The Miz. Miz lasted a little longer than he did last Monday, but eventually submitted to the Hurt Lock. Drew McIntyre is being called the “presumptive” next challenger to Lashley. Drew brawled backstage with Sheamus. They later met in a No DQ Match...that ended when both men ran into one another while carrying steel ring steps. The referee determined that Sheamus could not continue and called off the match. Randy Orton and AJ Styles went at it in the main event. The end came when Alexa Bliss appeared on the ‘tron. Fire shot from the ring posts...Randy started to cough up BLACK GOO again...caught a Phenomenal Forearm from AJ and got pinned. Braun Strowman got an apology from Shane McMahon. Later, Shane not-so-subtly implied that Braun is stupid. That led to Braun chasing Shane backstage, where Shane was able to lose him. Reginald resurfaced on Raw, in the corner of the women’s tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Reginald was fired by Carmella in Friday’s SmackDown. Jax and Baszler successfully defended their tag titles against Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. The New Day will challenge The Hurt Business for the Raw Tag Titles on next Monday’s Raw. Xavier Woods beat Shelton Benjamin in a one-on-one match last night. Another title match made for next Monday: Riddle defends the U.S. Title against Mustafa Ali. Wednesday’s NXT is now promoting TWO major announcements from GM William Regal. (STINGER: ROH) Jay Lethal will challenge Rush for the Ring Of Honor World Championship at the ROH 19th Anniversary pay per view on Friday, March 26th. Lethal earned the shot by pinning Matt Taven in a 4-way on ROH’s weekend TV. A distraction by Vita VonStarr left Taven open for Lethal Injection. Jay Briscoe and EC3 were also in the match, but they brawled all the way backstage. Also on that show - Dalton Castle essentially saved his ROH career. He used a rollup to beat Josh Woods in a Pure Rules Match. After the match, Woods was confronted by his old tag partner Silas Young. But it’s not clear if they’ll reunite. (STINGER: New Japan) The New Japan Cup rolls on this morning with a pair of first round matches. Wednesday’s show will have THREE first round matches - Jay White vs. Toa Henare...Yujiro Takahashi vs. YOSHI-HASHI...and David Finlay vs. Chase Owens. A couple title changes in other Japanese promotions over the weekend… There are new GHC Tag Team Champions. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Masa Kitamiya dethroned Takashi Sugiura & Kazushi Sakuraba at Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s show on Sunday. The Open The Twin Gate Unified Tag Title changed hands in Dragon Gate’s show on Sunday. Masaaki Mochizuki & Takashi Yoshida are the new champs after beating BxB Hulk & KAI. AEW Revolution Results. Post-Show Reaction From Jon Moxley And Tony Khan. New AEW Signings Revealed.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 8, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Let’s get right into last night’s AEW Revolution pay per view. Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley delivered a brutal and bloody main event in their Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match for the AEW Championship - but the final moments of the show underwhelmed at least some fans. Omega got the win after the Good Brothers delivered an exploding baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire to the ring. Omega hit Moxley with it and then delivered a One Winged Angel onto an open and upright steel chair. The pinfall came just minutes before the 30-minute countdown to the ring exploding was set to run out. Omega and the Good Brothers handcuffed and beat down Mox for a bit. Then, made a run for it. Mox was left alone in the ring, but as the final seconds ticked away...Eddie Kingston ran to the ring and threw himself on top of Moxley to protect him from the final blast - which may be a bit of an overstatement. The live crowd was not impressed by the final burst of sparks and smoke. Some booed...even as Kingston and Moxley were lying motionless. After the pay per view went off the air, Mox went into “damage control” mode as he addressed the live crowd. (Moxley Revolution Post Show) That clip from a video posted on AEW’s Twitter. During the post-show media call, Tony Khan basically admitted the final explosion was a “dud”, while also shifting the blame, in storyline, to Omega. (Khan On Explosion) The “huge” signing revealed at Revolution was...Christian Cage. Khan said he reached out to him personally...and Khan said he had no idea Christian was NOT under contract with WWE. Christian returned from retirement at the Royal Rumble just weeks ago. The surprise 6th participant in last night’s ladder match for a TNT Championship match...was former Impact Tag Team Champion Ethan Page. He didn’t get the win. Instead, it was Scorpio Sky. He’s set to get his title shot against Darby Allin on Wednesday’s Dynamite. There was a THIRD surprise during the Buy-In pre-show. Maki Itoh was a late substitute as Dr. Britt Baker’s tag team partner...and they defeated the team of Thunder Rosa and Riho. Khan said we’ll see more of Maki Itoh going forward. Hikaru Shida beat Ryo Mizunami to retain the AEW Women’s Championship. The Street Fight between Sting & Darby and Brian Cage & Ricky Starks was a purely cinematic presentation...with Sting pinning Starks to get the win. During the post-show media call, Darby Allin said he handled the bulk of producing the Street Fight. As for Sting’s future, Khan said we “might” see Sting wrestle again. The Young Bucks beat Chris Jericho and MJF to retain the AEW Tag Titles. Jericho was pinned with the Meltzer Driver. Pac and Rey Fenix won the Casino Tag Team Royale and a shot at the Tag Titles. It’s not known when that match will happen, but AEW did announce a one-on-one match between Fenix and Matt Jackson for Wednesday’s Dynamite. QT Marshall abandoned his tag partner Dustin Rhodes by eliminating himself during the Tag Team Royale. Hangman Page beat Matt Hardy in their Big Money Match. Page got an assist from the Dark Order, and celebrated with them after the match. But during the post-show media call, Page was very clear that this does NOT mean he’s joining the Dark Order. Miro and Kip Sabian beat Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor when Miro submitted Taylor. AEW’s next pay per view will be another Sunday night show - Double Or Nothing was announced for March 30th. (STINGER: WWE) As of Sunday night, there’s virtually nothing announced for tonight’s Raw - aside from Braun Strowman seeking an apology from Shane McMahon. (STINGER: New Japan) Two matches in the New Japan Cup were held Sunday. Will Ospreay beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Zack Sabre Jr. beat Gabriel Kidd. Ospreay and Sabre will meet in the second round. Monday is a day off for the tour. Tuesday’s show has Tomohiro Ishii vs. SANADA...and Yuji Nagata vs. Yota Tsuji. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 8. Growing Hype For “Huge” AEW Signing And AEW Revolution. Title Match Set For AEW Dynamite.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, March 5, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Thursday’s NXT UK are straight ahead in this update but first... (STINGER: AEW) Speculation is swirling around AEW’s next big signing. On Wednesday’s Dynamite, Paul Wight described the person as "Hall of Fame worthy" and a “huge surprise”. Tony Khan is not backing away from the growing hype surrounding who’s showing up at Sunday’s Revolution pay per view. (Khan Revolution Surprise) That clip from the AEW Unrestricted podcast. CM Punk was asked about this during a Twitter Q&A on Thursday...and said he is NOT the surprise signing. Khan did describe the person as a “he” during the podcast. Khan also said the “huge surprise” is different from the 6th entrant in a ladder match for a TNT Title shot, who will be revealed during Sunday’s show. That the TNT Title match is set to happen on Wednesday’s Dynamite. One more note from that podcast. Khan mentioned Anthony Bowens from The Acclaimed is out of action with a knee injury. (STINGER: WWE) SmackDown Women’s Champ Sasha Banks and her WrestleMania challenger Bianca Belair will get another shot at the Women’s Tag Titles. WWE announced Thursday that Banks and Belair will challenge Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax at Fastlane. Tonight’s SmackDown main event has Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso inside a STEEL CAGE. If Bryan wins, he gets a shot at Roman Reigns’ Universal Title at Fastlane. If Uso wins, Bryan must ACKNOWLEDGE Reigns. Kay Lee Ray’s 500+ day reign as NXT UK Women’s Champion...rolls on. She beat Meiko Satomura on Thursday’s show. (STINGER: ROH) A high stakes match on this weekend’s Ring Of Honor TV. Jay Briscoe vs. Matt Taven vs. Jay Lethal vs. EC3 in a Four Corner Survival Match. The winner gets the shot at Rush and the ROH World Championship at 19th Anniversary pay per view on March 26. Also this weekend, a Pure Rules rematch between Josh Woods and Dalton Castle. Dragon Lee beat Brian Johnson to retain the ROH TV Title. The match was shown earlier this week on ROH’s The Experience Facebook group and YouTube channel. (STINGER: New Japan) The first “official” New Japan Cup show is being held this morning. Saturday’s show has THREE first round matches - Kazuchika Okada vs. Shingo Takagi...KENTA vs. Juice Robinson...and Tomoaki Honma vs. Minoru Suzuki. TWO Cup matches were held at Thursday’s Anniversary Show. Great-O-Khan BEAT Tetsuya Naito via referee stoppage...and Jeff Cobb beat Satoshi Kojima. Kota Ibushi beat El Desperado in the main event - his final defense of the “double gold” as they will now be merged into the new IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. New Japan announced two stadium shows coming up in May - at Yokohama Stadium on May 15th...and in Tokyo Dome on May 29th. Tonight’s New Japan Strong has a pair of qualifying matches for the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup tournament - Rocky Romero vs. Lio Rush...and FILTHY Tom Lawlor vs. The DKC. There was plenty of backlash over reports that Marty Scurll attended recent tapings of New Japan Strong. Now, there are new reports that New Japan has pulled any plans for an on-screen appearance by Scurll. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, March 5. Shaq On Tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Late Change To Card. AEW Dark Results.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, March 3, 2021. This update is brought to you by the Wrestling Mayhem Show. Check out the new episode right now wherever you get your podcasts. Results from Tuesday’s Impact Wrestling and AEW Dark are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: AEW) The final stop before AEW’s Revolution pay per view is being pushed as the biggest Dynamite of the year. AEW is making a big play for some mainstream buzz tonight...with Shaquille O’Neal tagging with Jade Cargill against the team of Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. (Shaq Match Preview) That clip with Shaq provided by AEW. There’s a late change to another match on tonight’s Dynamite. The 10-man tag between Dark Order and Matt Hardy and friends is now gonna be a traditional tag - Matt Hardy and Marq Quen vs. Hangman Page and John Silver. We’ll see the finals of the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament. It’s Ryo Mizunami vs. Nyla Rose. The winner gets a shot at Hikaru Shida and the AEW Women’s Title at Revolution. Dark Order’s #10, Preston Vance vs. The Accliamed’s Max Caster for the 5th spot spot in the 6-man ladder match at Revolution, where the winner gets a shot at the TNT Championship. AEW says Tony Khan will reveal who will take the FINAL spot on Dynamite. Tully Blanchard returns to the ring - teaming with FTR against Jurassic Express. The former “Big Show”, Paul Wight, will make his first appearance in AEW tonight. On last night’s Dark...Bear Country got a win - then got jumped after the bell by The Butcher & The Blade. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight’s NXT has a Women’s Tag Title match - Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax defending against the winners of the women’s Dusty Classic - Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. An NXT Tag Title Match was also supposed to be on tonight’s show. But MSK’s Wes Lee has a broken hand. So instead, we’ll get a non-title match for Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan...against Tomasso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher. Mustafa Ali revealed during a Twitter Q&A that he’s wrestling with a torn PCL. Some new details are emerging about the WWE Network’s transition to Peacock. An FAQ on the Peacock website says Peacock will become the exclusive home of the WWE Network starting in April. But there will be an overlap period starting on March 18th. That confirms that the Fastlane pay per view on March 21st will be available on BOTH Peacock and the original WWE Network. MLW has a jam-packed Fusion tonight. Jacob Fatu defends the MLW Heavyweight Title against Jordan Oliver. The MLW Tag Titles will be on the line - as Contra’s Simon Gotch and Daivari challenge Los Parks. PLUS, Laredo Kid vs. Calvin Tankman. (STINGER: ROH) The Ring Of Honor TV Title will be defended tonight. Dragon Lee puts the belt on the line against Brian Johnson. That’s on ROH’s The Experience Facebook Page and YouTube Channel starting at 7PM.. (STINGER: Impact) THREE title matches made for Sacrifice on last night’s Impact Wrestling. Juice Robinson and David Finlay will challenge the Good Brothers for the Impact Tag Titles. Ace Austin will face TJP for the X-Division Title. Austin and Chris Bey ganged up on Black Taurus during last night’s #1 Contender’s 3-way. But Bey was undone by outside interference from Madman Fulton. Austin gets the title shot, but we still get him vs. Bey on next week’s Impact. Kiera Hogan - one half of the Knockouts Tag Champs - was a late addition to last night’s main event between Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace - making it a 3-way. Purrazzo got the pin after surprising Grace with a rollup. ODB showed up after the match and went after Purrazzo. Impact later made it official. ODB will challenge Purrazzo for the Knockouts Title at Sacrifice. That is an Impact Plus exclusive show on Saturday, March 13th. Also on last night’s Impact...Eddie Edwards beat Brian Myers via disqualification. Special guest referee Matt Cardona called for the DQ when he caught Myers loading up his elbow pad. The NWA is returning to pay-per-view. It’ll present Back For The Attack on March 21st. NWA Powerrr will return to Tuesday nights on March 23rd at 6:05PM. (STINGER: New Japan) Looking ahead to Thursday...and New Japan’s 49th Anniversary Show. The Double Gold will be defended for the last time in the main event - champion Kota Ibushi vs. El Desperado. Results from AEW’s Sunday Special are straight ahead in this update. So is the big result from New Japan’s weekend Castle Attack shows, which leads us to our top story. (STINGER: New Japan) The top singles titles in New Japan - the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Intercontinental Championship will be MERGED into a NEW, unified championship. The official announcement came early Monday. The IWGP Heavyweight Championship dated back to 1987. The IC Title was relatively newer - first being introduced in 2011. The lineages and histories of both titles will become part of the NEW IWGP World Heavyweight Championship...with Kota Ibushi will be recognized as the first man to hold it. He beat Testsuya Naito to retain the Intercontinental Title at Sunday’s Castle Attack show. Ibushi will walk into the maine vent New Japan’s 49th Anniversary Show Thursday - carrying the “double gold” for the final time. His opponent will be the ONE new champion crowned at the Castle Attack shows over the weekend. El Desperado is the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion for the first time...after chasing that title for SEVEN years. Despy beat El Phantasmo and BUSHI in a 3-way for the vacant title on Sunday’s show. Despy pinned ELP after a pair of Pinche Locos. El Desperado is also one half of the Jr. Tag Champions. He’s the first to hold both junior titles in New Japan at the same time...since Kushida. Also announced for Thursday’s anniversary show...a couple first round matches in the New Japan Cup tournament - Tetsuya Naito vs. Great-O-Khan...Satoshi Kojima vs. Jeff Cobb... The full New Japan Cup field was also unveiled Monday. A few notable names - Bad Luck Fale is in the field - his first New Japan action since New Year Dash. Juice Robinson and David Finlay - back from their stint in Impact Wrestling - are in the tournament. New Japan Cup shows are running almost daily between March 5th and March 21st. The winner of the tournament will be the opponent for Ibushi’s first defense of the IWGP World Title at the Sakura Genesis show on April 4th. Let’s circle back to the Castle Attack shows over the weekend. Sunday’s show saw Hiroshi Tanahashi get past Great-O-Khan, to hold onto the NEVER Championship. The Guerrillas of Destiny are still the heavyweight tag champs. They turned away the challenge of Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI. On Saturday’s show, Kazuchika Okada beat EVIL in the main event. Jay White beat Tomohiro Ishii...and Toru Yano retained the provisional King Of Pro Wrestling title against Chase Owens. (STINGER: WWE) A major fork in WWE’s road to WrestleMania tonight. The Miz is set to defend the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley on Raw. The former champion, Drew McIntryre, hasn’t been seen or heard from since Miz cashed in Money In The Bank and beat him for the title at Elimination Chamber. Daniel Bryan and Jey Uso will meet again on THIS Friday’s SmackDown - INSIDE a steel cage. Their main event match last Friday ended in a double countout. The stakes this Friday are SLIGHTLY higher. If Bryan wins, he gets a Universal Title Match against Roman Reigns at Fastlane. But if Bryan loses… (Heyman Bryan Cage Match) That clip from the latest episode of Talking Smack. (STINGER: AEW) Nyla Rose will face...Thunder Rosa...TONIGHT in the U.S. final of the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament. The match will air on AEW’s YouTube channel starting at 7PM. Thunder Rosa used a clever rollup to beat Riho on AEW’s Sunday Special on Bleacher Report. Also during that show, Ryo Mizunami beat Yuka Sakazaki to WIN the Japan side of the bracket. Mizunami gets the winner of tonight’s U.S. final on Wednesday’s Dynamite. With the winner of that match advancing to Revolution to challenge AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida. The Sunday Special broadcast on Bleacher Report did not go exactly how AEW management expected. Tony Khan tweeted late Sunday there were issues with the international stream. AEW responded by publishing the entire Sunday Special on its YouTube channel. The wrestler formerly known as Big Cass in WWE returned to pro wrestling over the weekend - for his first match since 2019. He made a surprise appearance at a show for Georgia’s Lariato Pro Wrestling Guild. The former Enzo Amore was also on that show. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 1. Ring Of Honor Facing Lawsuit. MOX vs KENTA on New Japan Strong. Big Castle Attack Shows This Weekend.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, February 27, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Friday’s SmackDown and New Japan Strong are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: ROH) Former Ring Of Honor Women’s Champion Kelly Klein is now suing the company. Heel By Nature obtained the court paperwork. The lawsuit alleges Klein was terminated by ROH at the end of last year over her complaints about pay for female performers...safety and medical protocols...and harassment. The harassment allegations are specifically aimed at ROH wrestler Jay Lethal. Members of ROH management are also named in the lawsuit. Klein’s attorney is Stephen P. New. He told WrestleZone the lawsuit could have wider implications, because it challenges the “independent contractor” status of pro wrestlers. (STINGER: New Japan) Jon Moxley is STILL the IWGP United States Champion. He got past KENTA on last night’s New Japan Strong - pinning him after a Death Rider. On the undercard, Ren Narita submitted Chris Dickinson. Back in Japan, the first of two big Castle Attack shows is being held this morning. Tomorrow’s show is loaded with title matches. Kota Ibushi defends the IWGP Intercontinental Title against Tetsuya Naito...El Phantasmo vs. El Desperado vs. BUSHI for the vacant Jr. Title. Great-O-Khan challenges Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NEVER Championship...and the Guerrillas of Destiny put the tag titles on the line against Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI. (STINGER: WWE) We have a second match now made official for WrestleMania. Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair announced she’ll challenge Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Daniel Bryan had a chance to secure a Universal Title match against Roman Reigns with a win in last night’s main event - but the match between Bryan and Jey Uso ended in a double countout. Roman Reigns jumped Bryan after the match and beat him down as the show ended. Apollo Crews used a new finisher - a variation on the Angle Slam - to beat Shinsuke Nakamura. Before the match, Crews talked about being descended from Nigerian royalty...and was also sporting a scarf that he used to gain an edge during the match. Otis got the better of Rey Mysterio again. He pinned Rey after a big splash from the second rope...as Otis and Chad Gable beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Rey was still hurting from The Street Profits beat King Corbin and Sami Zayn. Montez Ford pinned Zayn to get the pin. Seth Rollins promo time in the ring was interrupted by Cesaro. Rollins tried to convince him to EMBRACE THE VISION - but all got from Cesaro was a giant - and I mean GIANT - swing. Friday’s NXT Injury Update had a mention of MSK’s Wes Lee...following an attack by the Grizzled Young Veterans. WWE now stating that Lee has a broken hand. (STINGER: AEW) Coming up tomorrow...AEW presents its Sunday Special on Bleacher Report. We’ll get the Japan final from the Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament - Yuka Sakazaki vs. Ryo Mizunami. Plus, the first-ever meeting between Riho and Thunder Rosa on the U.S. side of the bracket. The winner there faces Nyla Rose in the U.S. final on Wednesday’s Dynamite. EVERYONE is loading up their shows for Wednesday. Of course, Dynamite will be headlined by Shaq and Jade Cargill vs. Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. NXT Wednesday will have Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax defending the women’s tag titles against Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai. MLW just announced Calvin Tankman vs. Laredo Kid for Wednesday’s Fusion. That’s on top of Jacob Fatu defending the MLW Heavyweight Championship against Jordan Oliver...and CONTRA’s Simon Gotch and Daivari challenging Los Parks for the tag titles. There’s more… Ring Of Honor is premiering a TV Title match Wednesday night on its ROH The Experience Facebook page and YouTube channel - Dragon Lee defending against Brian Johnson. And in Japan...Stardom is running Budokan Hall with an eye-popping main event - a Hair vs. Hair Match...where the Wonder of Stardom Title is also on the line - Giulia defending against Tam Nakano. Talking Mayhem Mania Round 5
t must be Mayhem Mania season! Mayhem Mania 2021 – Opening Round http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/mayhem-mania-2021-it-begins/ Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 1 http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/mayhem-mania-2021-round-1/ Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 2 http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/mayhem-mania-2021-round-2/ Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 3 http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/mayhem-mania-2021-round-3/ Mayhem Mania 2021 – Round 4 http://www.wrestlingmayhemshow.com/mayhem-mania-2021-round-4/ Not every WWE wrestler is eligible to use. Under the rules of Mayhem Mania, everyone comes in their current physical, emotional and contractual state. That means anyone out with an injury is NOT eligible to use. (We are ignoring COVID-19 diagnoses because this is supposed to be a fun diversion, not a reminder of the terrible things happening around us.) Others are not eligible to use for a different reason. Some of them are locked in SPACE JAIL. “Cell numbers” correspond with the numbers on our prize wheel. SPACE JAIL is not a life sentence. A lucky spin of our prize wheel can free one of them, and it happened again before Round 5. Randy Orton escaped SPACE JAIL. Remember, there is no “Double Jeopardy” so he can’t be sent back. 5 players were invited onto the Wrestling Mayhem Show for the latest round of Mayhem Mania 2021. Each can make ONE of the following changes to our card: – SWAP one wrestler or team with one in another match on the card or replace them with a wrestler or team not currently on the card – ADD a wrestler or team to an existing match – DELETE a match in its entirety and replace it with a new match using entirely new wrestlers – MATCH SWAP: This year, we have a designated “cinematic match” slot on our card. A player can choose to swap an existing match on the card for the match currently in that “cinematic match” slot. With all that business out of the way, let’s take a look at the changes made during Round FIVE of Mayhem Mania 2021! Move #1 (by Brandon) DELETE Asuka vs. Meiko Satomura and CREATE Kushida vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Move #2 (by The Rizz) DELETE Bad Bunny & Adam Pearce vs. Pat McAfee & Rob Gronkowski and CREATE Asuka vs. Meiko Satomura Move #3 (by Alex Kahrs) ADD Bad Bunny & Bayley to Bray Wyatt & Alexa Bliss vs. Johnny Mundo & Taya Move #4 (by Bobbyfjtown) SWAP Samoa Joe for “The Demon” Finn Balor Move #5 (by HEEL Bradley) DELETE Asuka vs. Meiko Satomura and CREATE Adam Cole vs. Daniel Bryan Round 5 is in the books, and we have four newly created matches on our “undercard” Bray Wyatt & Alexa Bliss vs. Johnny Mundo & Taya vs. Bad Bunny & Bayley (Created by Alex Kahrs) (*Designated as “cinematic match”) Adam Cole vs. Daniel Bryan (Created by HEEL Bradley) “The Demon” Finn Balor vs. Karrion Kross vs. Aleister Black (Created by Bobbyfjtown) Kushida vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Created by Brandon) We have three matches that survived the round without being altered in any way. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Cesaro (Created by Tina Keys) Toni Storm vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch (Created by Brandon) Keith Lee vs. Pete Dunne vs. Roman Reigns (Created by Alex Kahrs) Finally, we have the FIRST match to graduate to this year’s SUPERCARD! Raquel Gonzalez vs. Beth Phoenix (Created by Tina Keys) A match graduates if it survives THREE rounds without being altered in any way. Tina created our first graduated match and she will receive rewards! She will get to hand out a dose of PUNISHMENT to one of next week’s players. She will get a ticket to send one individual to SPACE JAIL. She’ll also get to name a participant in our first-ever Mayhem Mania WATCH PARTY! Tina will also create a new match to fill the open slot on our “undercard”. Our goal is to GRADUATE eight matches to our SUPERCARD by the time Mayhem Mania 2021 comes to an end. The Rizz will be back next week under the “Alex Kahrs Rule”, which governs a match that does not survive the round in which it was created. One more note: SPACE JAIL has a new resident. Mad Mike used the ticket he earned in our Elimination Chamber Challenge contest mid-round, and sent Pat McAfee to SPACE JAIL. It’s been a wild ride so far, but we’re finally making some progress with the first match now on our SUPERCARD. Keep following along to find out what happens next. Thanks for supporting Mayhem Mania!

Remembering Joseph Hudson. Moxly vs KENTA On #New Japan Strong. Road To Castle Attack Results.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com
I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, February 26, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Thursday’s NXT UK are straight ahead in this update. But first, we have some sad news to report. Joseph Hudson - better known to wrestling fans as Jocephus, and later The Question Mark in the NWA...has died. NWA President Billy Corgan first shared the news, saying Hudson “died suddenly from an as-yet undiagnosed medical issue”. Joseph Hudson leaves behind a young son. Fans are already rallying to donate to a trust fund for him. (STINGER: New Japan) The biggest episode in the history of New Japan Strong is being overshadowed by multiple reports that Marty Scurll was in attendance for the tapings of Strong late last month. Scurll parted ways with Ring Of Honor late last year - months after a #SpeakingOut accusation led to Scurll admitting to a sexual encounter with a 16-year-old girl back in 2015. Getting back tonight’s episode of Strong. The main event is the big showdown for the IWGP United States Championship - Jon Moxley defending against KENTA. Also on tonight’s show - Chris Dickinson vs. Ren Narita. Back in Japan, a title change on Thursday’s Road To Castle Attack show. El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru beat El Phantasmo and Taihi Ishimori to win the junior tag titles. The pivotal moment was ELP accidentally hitting his own partner with his Sudden Death superkick. Thursday’s show opened with Hiromu Takahashi formally relinquishing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. He’s out for the next six months with a torn pectoral muscle. New Japan announced a rare 3-way match for the vacant title. El Phantasmo vs. El Desperado vs. BUSHI at the second big Castle Attack show on Sunday. Saturday’s show has Kazuchika Okada vs. EVIL and Jay White vs. Tomohiro Ishii. Early Friday, New Japan and Mexico’s CMLL promotion issued a joint statement reaffirming their business partnership. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor’s weekend TV is gonna be a big one. Shane Taylor gets his shot at Rush and the ROH World Championship. Taylor just won the ROH 6-man titles on last weekend’s episode. This weekend’s show also has a match for the ROH tag titles - Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham defending against Dragon Lee and Kenny King. ROH also made headlines Friday...announcing the signing of EC3. He just returned to ROH TV on last weekend’s episode. (STINGER: WWE) There are new NXT UK Tag Team Champions. Pretty Deadly - Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker - ended the 500+ day reign of Gallus on Thursday’s episode. Xia Brookside beat Nina Samuels. As a result, Samuels is now Brookside’s personal assistant for a month. Bailey Matthews - son of William Regal - made his NXT UK debut - taking a loss against Tyler Bate. As of Thursday night, WWE has yet to announce really anything of substance for tonight’s SmackDown. Progress Wrestling and Paul Robinson parted ways on Thursday. Progress came under fire after fans learned Robinson was backstage at recent tapings. Robinson was named in a #SpeakingOut accusation over the summer. Robinson was holding the Progress Proteus title, which is now vacated. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, February 26.
