Bullet Club Reunion. AEW New Year Smash, NXT New Year's Evil, New Japan New Year Dash Results.

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, January 7, 2021.
This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Results from NXT, MLW and New Japan’s New Year Dash shows are straight ahead in this update but first.. (STINGER: AEW) Let’s unpack the end of last night’s AEW Dynamite..where the Kenny Omega/Impact Wrestling saga turned into a full fledged North American Bullet Club reunion. Omega beat Rey Fenix to retain his AEW title. He then revealed Eddie Kingston, The Butcher and The Blade had attacked Penta El Zero M and Pac backstage. Omega vowed to end Fenix, but Jon Moxley came to the rescue, armed with a barbed wire baseball bat. Mox got a few shots in on Omega before Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows - the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions - showed up to save Kenny. Their attack on Moxley eventually drew some of the wrestlers at ringside to get involved, but they were little help. Finally, the Young Bucks came out and ended up helping Omega. The final shot was the Bucks reluctantly joining Omega, Anderson and Gallows in a “Too Sweet”. The Bucks opened the show teaming with SCU to beat The Hydrid2 & The Acclaimed. After the match, Christopher Daniels made it clear that SCU is aiming for the Bucks’ tag titles. Also last night, Cody Rhodes had Snoop Dogg in his corner as he beat Matt Sydal. Serpentico and Luther tried to jump Rhodes and Sydal after the match but were turned away and Snoop dropped a top rope splash on Serpentico. Hikaru Shida beat Abadon to hold onto the AEW women’s title. And Wardlow hit the F10 and beat Jake Hager. The two exchanged a mutual respect fist bump after the match. Chuck Taylor said Trent will be out of action for 4-5 months with a torn pec. Taylor will face Miro next week, and if Chuck loses he has to be Miro’s “young boy”. Also added to next week’s show: Serena Deeb defending the NWA Women’s Title against Tay Conti...and Eddie Kingston vs. Pac. (STINGER: WWE) Finn Balor is still the NXT Champion. He beat Kyle O’Reilly via submission on last night’s NXT. Raquel Gonzalez beat Rhea Ripley in their Last Woman Standing match after Gonzalez choke slammed Ripley through the entrance stage. Karrion Kross beat Damien Priest. And Santos Escaor retained his cruiserweight title against Gran Metalik. The FIGHT PIT match between Tommasso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher was pulled from last night’s show due to an injury for Thatcher. Also, the next NXT TakeOver special on the WWE Network will be on Valentine’s Day - Sunday, February 14th. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic begins next week with a pair of first round matches: Adam Cole and Roderick Strong vs. Breezango...and the Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Ever-Rise. NXT also announced the first-ever WOMEN’S Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is coming soon. The only title change on Wednesday was the MLW World Middleweight Championship. Lio Rush dethroned Myron Reed. MLW’s Court Bauer says the league is in talks with at least two “major” networks about expanding its programming. (Bauer MLW TV Talks) Bauer speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp. (STINGER: New Japan) New title challengers coming into focus at New Japan’s New Year Dash show Wednesday. The main event mult-man tag match setting up NEVER champ Shingo Takagi vs Hiroshi Tanahashi...and HIromu Takahashi defending his junior heavyweight title against SHO. On the undercard, El Phantasmo pinned Yoshinobu Kanemaru after a suspiciously powerful superkick. That puts ELP and Taiji Ishimori in line for a shot at the jr tag titles held by Kanemaru and El Desperado. The Empire laid waste to Hiroyoshi Tenzan to the point that he was stretchered out of the arena. Kazuchika Okada now has his sights set on EVIL. As for Jay White...He was pinned by Tomohiro Ishii - as CHAOS beat Bullet Club in a 10-man tag. White was carried to the back, but there was no further follow-up to his post-Wrestle Kingdom comments that he’s “done” in New Japan. Ring Of Honor announcing Amy Rose has re-signed with the company. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, January 7. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. We also thank you in advance for leaving a glowing rating or review.. I’m Matt Carlins. Thank YOU for listening.

Wrestle Kingdom Preview. WWE RAW Legends Night Preview. Zicky Dice Wants AEW

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, January 4, 2021.
This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. If it’s January 4th, it must be Wrestle Kingdom! Night 1 of New Japan’s biggest event of the year is being held today in Tokyo Dome. We’ll have results for you in our update tomorrow. The Night 2 card being held Tuesday will have Jay White in the main event, challenging either Tetsuya Naito or Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles. Also, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight champ Taiji Ishimori awaits the winner of the Night 1 match between Hiromu Takahashi and El Phantasmo. Also on tap for Night 2… EVIL vs. SANADA and Shingo Takagi defending the NEVER title against Jeff Cobb. This is a big week not only for New Japan. Other Japanese promotions are also holding major shows. But all the events in Tokyo are under the cloud of growing COVID-19 concerns. The latest daily new case record was set there over the weekend. Speaking early Monday, the Japanese prime minister said the government could declare a state of emergency in and around Tokyo. That would be only the second in Japan since the start of the pandemic. The first was back in spring. It lasted for just over a month. Tokyo leaders are already asking businesses to shorten their hours. New restrictions on large-scale events in Tokyo were announced at the end of December. Those forced New Japan to halt ticket sales for Wrestle Kingdom. Everyone attending Wrestle Kingdom this week is being asked to register for contact tracing. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight is “Legends Night” on Monday Night Raw. Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and many others are being promoted. Also, we’ll get Drew McIntyre defending his WWE Championship against Keith Lee. Among the new free agents in the new year - former NWA TV champ Zicky Dice. And he seems to know exactly where he wants to land. (Zicky Dice To AEW?) Zicky Dice speaking with Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com. It looks like AEW is about to take their shows back out on the road - at least, for a little bit. Bodyslam.net’s Cassidy Haynes reports AEW will leave Daily’s Place next month and head to Miami - for tapings of Dynamite, Dark and its Revolution pay-per-view on February 27th. AEW would return to Jacksonville in March. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, January 4. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. We also thank you in advance for leaving a glowing rating or review.. I’m Matt Carlins. Thank YOU for listening.

JPWN Beta: New Japan Updates. Scary Injury at DragonGate. SCU End of the Line. Impact Wrestling PPV Updates.

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
This update is sponsored by Fight Underground. Search for Fight Underground on Facebook and check out the new fight between Beastman and Justin Idol. Results from Tuesday’s New Japan show, AEW Dark and news from Impact Wrestling’s “Best Of 2020” show are straight ahead but first… The cards for both nights of Wrestle Kingdom are set. The final new matches were announced during a news conference earlier today. Added to Night 1: KENTA defending his Right To Challenge the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion against Juice Robinson. The New Japan Rumble will return with 22 wrestlers...and the final four moving on to a four-way on Night 2 to determine the King Of Pro Wrestling 2021 holder. Night 2 will also now see El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru defend the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championships against Ryusuke Taguchi and Master Wato. That’ll be 7 matches on both nights. Last year, there were 11 on Night 1...and 9 on the Night 2. One more note from the news conference...New Japan said ZERO cases of COVID-19 infection have come from ANY of the 78 events it’s held since returning from the lockdown. New Japan’s final show of the year...and the final stop on its Road To Tokyo Dome tour is being held this morning. We’ll have results in our update tomorrow. Tuesday’s “Road To” show saw KENTA, Jay White and Gedo beat Kota Ibushi, Juice Robinson and SHO in the show’s main event. Staying in Japan.. Questions surround the final moments of a championship match at Dragon Gate’s Final Gate show on Sunday. Open The Dream Gate Champion Shun Skywalker appeared to legitimately knock out challenger Ben-K with a forearm. Before the ref could assess Ben-K’s status..Skywalker quickly followed with two standing moonsaults into double knees. Then, Skywalker added a pair of moonsaults from the top rope before scoring the win. Ben-K was taken from the ring on a stretcher. Dragon Gate tweeted a brief statement Monday, saying Ben-K “was diagnosed with a mild concussion.” Ben-K himself later tweeted that he’s recovered, but he will miss some time. (STINGER: AEW) An ultimatum for Christopher Daniels from his longtime tag team partner Frankie Kazarian. (End Is Near For SCU) That clip from Tuesday’s AEW Dark. SCU then challenged The Hybrid2. Alex Gracia got her first AEW win on Dark. It was revealed that she will be Hikaru Shida’s opponent on tonight’s Dynamite. Also tonight, the Young Bucks defend their AEW Tag Team Championships against The Acclaimed...and Chris Jericho & MJF take on Top Flight. A reminder that tonight’s Dynamite is a late start for east coast viewers - after NBA basketball. There was a new segment staged as a paid ad by AEW on Tuesday’s “Best of 2020” edition of Impact Wrestling. In it, Tony Khan invited Impact to send some of its wrestlers to Wednesday’s Dynamite. Other news from Impact last night.. Impact announced that its fans voted Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo as its Wrestler Of The Year. Manik will defend the X-Division Title in a 3-Way against Chris Bey and Rohit Raju at the Hard To Kill PPV on January 16. The participants and first-round matches were announced for the Super X Cup tournament at the Genesis show January 9th. Ace Austin vs. Suicide.. Daivari vs. Cousin Jake.. Crazzy Steve vs. Tre Lamar, and KC Navarro vs. Blake Christian. Just announced late Tuesday for tonight’s NXT - Rhea Ripley vs. Dakota Kai. Tonight’s NXT will open with the tag champs Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch defending against Killian Dain and Drake Maverick in a Street Fight. WWE announced Tuesday that Sami Zayn’s Intercontinental Title defense against Big E on the Christmas Day Smackdown will now be a lumberjack match. Mance Warner confirmed to Wrestling Inc.’s Nick Hausman that he did ask for his release from MLW. But it’s not clear when - or if - that will happen. Warner’s last match for MLW was back in March. Tonight’s MLW Fusion has the Opera Cup final between Tom Lawlor and Low Ki. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, December 23. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. We also thank you in advance for leaving a glowing rating or review.. I’m Matt Carlins. JPWN Beta: WWE TLC PPV Preview. WWE Trademarks The Collective. Mike Bennett Injury

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Sunday, December 20, 2020.
This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Tonight, it’s the final WWE pay-per-view of the year - TLC. Six matches have been announced, including two championship matches being contested under TLC rules. Roman Reigns defends the Universal Title against Kevin Owens. And AJ Styles challenges Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax will defend their women’s tag team titles against Asuka...and a mystery partner. Sasha Banks puts the SmackDown Women’s Title on the line against Carmella. Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander challenge Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for the Raw Tag Titles. And Randy Orton faces The Fiend in the first-ever Firefly Inferno Match. WWE is keeping the details of that stipulation under wraps. The Kickoff show begins at 6PM ET - The main show starts at 7. Jey Uso has been a big part of Reigns’ title run. And it won’t be long until Jimmy Uso returns to full-time action. Jey says he expects his brother back by January or February. (Jey Uso On Jimmy Injury) Jey speaking with WWE German language commentator Walandi Tsanti for ProSieben MAXX. Injury news following Ring Of Honor’s Final Battle...and it is not good news for Mike Bennett. He tweeted that he’ll be out for the next 6 weeks with a hairline fracture in his ankle. Another day of trademark filing news. Heel By Nature first to report WWE filing for a trademark for the name “The Collective” - the same name Game Changer Wrestling has used for one of its signature events for years. However, this may not be an issue for either side. WWE’s filing appears to be for a stable or tag team - NOT an event. And GCW owner Brett Lauderdale tweeted on Saturday “everything will be ok”. Meanwhile, AEW may have tipped its hand on the new program it’s developing for Warnermedia. Heel By Nature also first to report AEW filed a trademark for the name “AEW Elevation”. A new match for Wednesday’s NXT just announced yesterday - the NXT Tag Team Titles will be on the line Wednesday night. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will defend against Drake Maverick and Killian Dane. And it will be a Street Fight. The first broadcast from New Japan’s Road To The Tokyo Dome tour is happening Monday morning. That will be a FREE show on New Japan World starting at 4:30 AM ET. The main event is a 6-man tag. LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito, SANADA and BUSHI vs Bullet Club’s Jay White, EVIL and Dick Togo. This will be the first time White and EVIL have ever tagged. JPWN Beta: Dr. Alfanso Morales. ROH Final Battle and WWE Smackdown Results. CMLL PPV Cancelled.

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, December 19, 2020.
This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Coming up, results from Ring Of Honor’s Final Battle, Friday’s SmackDown and New Japan Strong - but first some sad news.. An iconic voice in Lucha Libre has died. Dr. Alfonso Morales passed away Thursday after a long battle with kidney disease. Morales was a sports journalist first - before becoming the announcer for BOTH AAA and CMLL during their broadcast TV expansion in the 1990's and beyond. Dr. Alfonso Morales was 71. Staying in Mexico, CMLL has canceled its PPV scheduled for Christmas Day. The announcement came after authorities in and around Mexico City shut down all non-essential businesses through January 10th..due to a spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations. (STINGER: Ring Of Honor Results) Ring of Honor back on pay-per-view for the first time in a year, with its biggest show of the year - Final Battle. There were two late changes to the card. Instead of battling EC3, Jay Briscoe LOST to Shane Taylor, who called it the biggest win of his ROH career..and declared he’s got next in the ROH World Title picture. (More on that in a moment) Bandido and Flamita were also held out of the show. So instead of defending the 6-man tag titles, Rey Horus got a match against Dalton Castle..and WON. The main event saw Rush retain his ROH World Title against Brody King..after interference by Rush’s father, La Bestia del Ring, and his brother, Dragon Lee. Lee retained his TV title against Tony Deppen, who advanced from a 4-way match earlier in the night. It appears Rush, Lee and the rest of La Facción Ingobernable are on a collision course with The Foundation. The two sides had a staredown at the end of the night. The Foundation’s Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham retained their ROH tag titles against Mark Briscoe and PCO. Then, Gresham beat Flip Gordon to hold onto the Pure Title. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett beat Vincent and Bateman. But The Righteous responded by attacking Bennett’s legs.. Also, Danhausen finally secured his ROH contract. He beat Brian Johnson via disqualification. (Danhausen ROH Contract) Some of Danhausen’s post-match comments on ROH’s social media. (STINGER: Smackdown Results) Last night’s SmackDown the final stop before WWE’s TLC show on Sunday.. The Street Profits retained their tag titles with a win over Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Bayler pinned Bianca Belair after raking the eyes of Belair and hitting her Rose Plant finisher. Otis beat Shinsuke Nakamura. And Kevin Owens was beaten down by Jey Uso and/or Roman Reigns no less than four times..ahead of his Universal Title match against Reigns on Sunday. (STRINGER: New Japan Results) New Japan Strong last night.. KENTA beat the aforementioned Brody King to hold onto his contract to challenge for the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship. KENTA will carry the briefcase into Wrestle Kingdom..and he made it clear he’s ready to challenge Jon Moxley. The only questions are when..and where? PWInsider reports.. Madison Rayne will be leaving Impact Wrestling for a new job outside the pro wrestling business. Kenny Omega and Don Callis are working hard to blur the lines between wrestling and reality. Omega says “it was time” for him to take the AEW World Championship. (Omega On AEW Title) Omega and Callis are both guests on the new episode of Talk Is Jericho. Finally, AEW is in danger of losing its trademark filing for the “Stadium Stampede”. Hell By Nature was first to report the filing has been suspended by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. One of the issues is WWE’s trademark for the old WCW pay-per-view “Spring Stampede”. That’s JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, December 19. JPWN Beta: ROH Final Battle Preview. Otis on WWE PC. Jake Crist on Impact Wrestling Status. WrestleMania 4 & 5 Venue to Implode.

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, December 18, 2020.
This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Thursday’s NXT UK are straight ahead, but first… Ring Of Honor’s biggest event of the year - and its first pay-per-view since last December. Final Battle is just hours away. But there’s uncertainty surrounding part of the card. Last week, ROH announced EC3, Flamita and Bandido are OUT of the show due to COVID-19 testing protocols. ROH will announce changes to tonight’s card during the free First Hour of Final Battle, beginning at 8PM. EC3 was set to battle Jay Briscoe. Flamita and Bandido were going to defend their 6-man tag titles. As for the matches that WILL happen. Rush defends the ROH World Title against Brody King. Jonathan Gresham will wrestle TWICE. He’ll defend the Pure Title against Flip Gordon...and he and Jay Lethal will put their tag titles on the line against Mark Briscoe & PCO. Also, Danhausen can secure an ROH contract IF he can beat Brian Johnson. WWE updating the card for Sunday’s TLC show. The Fiend vs Randy Orton will now be a Firefly Inferno Match! Also, a rematch from last Friday’s Smackdown is set for TLC with Sasha Banks defending her Women’s Title against Carmella. A reminder that tonight’s SmackDown airs on FS1. The Street Profits are set to defend their tag titles against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Also, Bianca Belair faces Bayley. Some interesting names on tonight’s New Japan Strong. KENTA is defending his Right To Challenge contract for the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship...against the aforementioned Brody King. Also, Jeff Cobb faces Rust Taylor - who recently signed with WWE and made his NXT in-ring debut just days ago as Tyler Rust. Some big announcements on Thursday’s NXT UK A-Kid will challenge WALTER for the UK Championship in the new year. There’s no exact date yet. There’s a #1 contender’s match for Kay Lee Ray’s UK women’s title coming. Jinny and Piper Niven will meet on the first NXT UK of the new year - on January 7th. Also on Thursday’s show, Gallus retained their tag titles against The Hunt.. Trent Seven announced he’ll be taking a break from the ring.. And NXT UK unveiled a hot prospect - announcing Ben Carter will soon make his debu. The 22-year-old worked matches for AEW and Impact over the last six months...before signing with WWE. Some injury news. NXT’s Cameron Grimes is out of action for the rest of the year. PW Insider reports Grimes underwent surgery last week. Otis is disputing reports that Vince McMahon recently ordered he and other “big guys” back to the Performance Center for additional training. (Otis On PC Work) That’s Otis speaking with Fox Sports’ Ryan Satin. Impact Wrestling announced the Super X Cup tournament will be part of its Genesis show on January 9th. Jake Crist is now a free agent. He parted ways with Impact a couple weeks before his contract was due to expire. Impact fired Jake’s brother Dave and Joey Ryan after the explosion of #SpeakingOut accusations flooded the pro wrestling industry over the summer. Jake was pulled from TV and he said he was essentially “ghosted” by Impact for 6 months until things finally thawed recently. (Jake Crist Impact Departure) Jake Crist on The Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast. Jake added he has no hard feelings toward Impact, and loved his time there. Finally, the site of WrestleManias 4 and 5 will soon meet its end. But first, Atlantic City is holding an online auction for the chance to push the button to implode the former Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. Money raised will go to the local Boys & Girls Club. JPWN Beta: Charges soon in Hana Kimura death. Rich Swann on AEW. Don Callis Impact Wrestling Updates. Mil Muertes to MLW. NXT and AEW Dynamite Results.

I’m Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Thursday, December 17, 2020.
This update is sponsored by Fight Underground. Search for it on Facebook to see the new fight between Colossal Mike Law and the Masked Bandit. We’ll have results from last night’s NXT, AEW Dynamite AND MLW Fusion in a moment, but first… Charges could soon be filed in the death of Hana Kimura. The Japan Times reports the suspect is a man in his 20’s from Osaka..accused of cyberbullying. The 22-year-old Kimura was found dead at her home back in May. (STINGER: NXT Results) Let’s get to the results from Wednesday night. Kyle O’Reilly will get another shot at Finn Balor’s NXT Championship. O’Reilly beat Pete Dunne on last night’s NXT. Balor-O’Reilly 2 will go down at NXT’s New Year’s Evil special on January 6th. Also added to that show - Damien Priest vs Karrion Kross, who got a quick win last night in his return to in-ring action. In the main event on last night’s NXT - Toni Storm beat Rhea Ripley, with a little help from Raquel Gonzalez. (STINGER: AEW Dynamite Results) AEW also making some big matches for the coming weeks. Kenny Omega will defend the AEW Championship for the first time on the December 30th edition of Dynamite. His opponent will be Rey Fenix. That announcement came after Omega beat Joey Janela on last night’s Dynamite. Also last night, The Acclaimed - in their first match on Dynamite - BEAT SCU. Afterward, The Acclaimed challenged the Young Bucks to a tag title match. That’ll happen on next Wednesday’s Dynamite. Another up-and-coming tag team - Top Flight - were on the losing end of a 12-man tag against the Inner Circle. But they’ll get a shot at just Chris Jericho and MJF next week. A quick reminder that Dynamite is a late start next week...after NBA basketball. A couple more notes from last night - Cody and Brandi Rhodes announced they’re expecting a child. Then, Cody beat Angelico. Afterward, Team Taz confronted Cody...only to be run off by STING! Also, Matt Hardy & Private Party beat Hangman Page and the Dark Order’s John Silver and Alex Reynolds. When did Impact Wrestling Champion Rich Swann find out that Kenny Omega was coming to HIS promotion? (Swann On Impact & AEW) Swann speaking on Wrestling Observer Live. Meanwhile, Impact Executive Vice President Don Callis fielded questions on the company’s Press Pass podcast. Not many straight answers as Callis stuck mainly to his on-air persona. But he did have an interesting answer after being asked how Omega’s presence could alter Impact’s existing plans for 2021. (Callis On Omega In Impact) Callis also said he has no plan to reintroduce fans at Impact TV tapings..but he also added that his responsibilities do not normally involve “that sort of stuff”. An absolute SHOCKER on MLW Fusion...and it was presented by Salina De La Renta. (De La Renta Teases Mil Muertes) That clip from last night’s Fusion...as De La Renta teased the imminent arrival of former Lucha Underground star Mil Muertes in MLW. Tom Lawlor beat ACH to advance to the Opera Cup finals. Lawlor will face Low Ki on next Wednesday’s Fusion. And a big match made for MLW’s Kings Of Colosseum special on January 6th. Omega and Callis also teased a “big announcement” on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. Last night’s Impact included an extended promo for Dynamite featuring Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. It was staged as a promotional announcement paid for by AEW. For what it’s worth, last night’s live stream of Impact on Twitch peaked at more than 50,000 viewers. Here’s what else they saw... Impact Results: AEW footage on Impact. This is clearly an open partnership. The Young Bucks vs. The Hybrid 2.. And FTR vs. the Varsity Blondes - Brian Pillman Jr and Griff Garrison. Speaking of the Blondes, they BEAT the Dark Order’s Colt Cabana and Alex Reynolds on last night’s AEW Dark. Someone who’s been orbiting AEW recently, the NWA Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa. She successfully defended her title against Priscilla Kelly on last night’s NWA Shockwave. Tonight’s NXT will have fallout from Sunday’s Takeover Wargames and the return of NXT Champ Finn Balor. Pat McAfee’s injury update after Wargames - no broken bones! So, good news for him. The card for Ring of Honor’s Final Battle PPV on December 18th appears to be set. Renee Paquette recently asked him.. (CM Punk comeback clip) Punk interviewed on Paquette’s “Oral Sessions” podcast. If you were wondering why Alexa Bliss was not on Raw Monday night, it turns out she, Charlotte Flair and D-Von Dudley are all involved in production of the “Punky Brewster” reboot. JPWN Beta: Omega to Impact Wrestling, NXT Wargames Injury Fallout, WWE RAW Results, When The Man has a Baby!

Impact Wrestling, you have our attention.
I’m Matt Carlins and this is Just Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, December 8, 2020. This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Impact is promising New AEW World Champion Kenny Omega WILL appear on its program TONIGHT. On Twitter, Impact exec Don Callis says he and Omega “will shock the world again.” It’s been less than a week since Callis helped Omega win the AEW title from Jon Moxley. Tonight’s AEW Dark has 16 matches, including Brian Cage vs Danny Limelight. Jurassic Express and Nyla Rose are also in action. And late word Monday night from AEW that Shaquille O’Neal will appear on Wednesday night’s Dynamite. The fallout from Sunday night’s NXT Takeover Wargames includes a list of injuries. The hardest hit appears to be Candice LeRae. Her husband Johnny Gargano tweeted a pic of both of them. Candice had x-rays on what could be a broken arm. Gargano himself said he received stitches in his mouth. Meanwhile, Oney Lorcan also tweeted a pic showing stitches about his left eye. And then there’s Pat McAfee… who showed up for his radio show Monday wearing a neckbrace. (McAfee Show Injury Update) That clip from Monday’s “Pat McAfee Show”. McAfee said he’s awaiting results on tests he received earlier in the day. He dove from the top of the cage not once - but twice - during the main event Wargames match Sunday night, which his team lost. A big topic coming out of Triple H’s media call after Takeover.. The future of the now-retired Undertaker. Triple H saying he and Taker spoke within the past few days about a future role for him in the Performance Center. (Triple H On Taker) Fans of The Rascalz were scratching their heads when only two-thirds of the group - Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz - were announced as part of the new class at the WWE Performance Center. On Twitter, the third Rascal, Trey Miguel, shared an update of sorts. He said his focus right now is on his nephew, who was born prematurely a month and a half ago. (RAW Results Stinger) RAW Results Asuka d. Shayna Baszler via a distraction rollup Dana Brooke pinned Reckoning to win a rare mixed tag match where Brooke teamed with Ricochet and Reckoning tagged with Slapjack Kofi Kingston beat Shelton Benjamin And right after that, Cedric Alexander beat Kofi Kingston AJ Styles, The Miz and John Morrison beat Drew McIntyre and Sheamus when Styles pinned Sheamus. A wayward Brogue Kick that hit McIntyre helped lead to the loss. Moments later, McIntyre and Sheamus briefly brawled backstage before making amends by putting Pat Buck through a table. Bobby Lashley used the Hurt Lock to submit Jeff Hardy Randy Orton battled NOT The Fiend Bray Wyatt in the main event. Orton appeared to have the match won after an RKO, but the lights went out and then The Fiend appeared and put Orton out with the Mandible Claw. Monday’s Raw marked the end of WWE’s months-long residency at Orlando’s Amway Center. Construction is already underway at the new home of the ThunderDome inside Tampa’s Tropicana Field. The full card is set for New Japan’s World Tag League/Best of the Super Jr. finals coming up on Friday. The IWGP double champion Tetsuya Naito will be on the undercard, tagging with BUSHI against his Wrestle Kingdom Night 1 opponent Kota Ibushi and Master Wato. Kazuchika Okada will also return to action for a 6-man tag - teaming with Hiroshi Tanashi and Toa Henare...against Will Ospreay, Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb. At the top of the card, Hiromu Takahashi and El Desperado will meet in the Best of the Super Jr. final. And in the World Tag League final, Juice Robinson and David Finlay will battle the Guerrillas of Destiny. Finally, congrats to Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins who announced the birth of their daughter Roux. That’s Just Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, December 8. I’m Matt Carlins.
