We start off the show with some sad news this week after Chuck Knox passed away at the age of 86. Seahawks fans also got some closure on Cliff Avril's injury as he was waived from the team. But the positive news was that he'd be sticking around and joining a local radio station. The Seahawks are back! Back to being the underdogs we've known prior to their Super Bowl victory. Adam and Brandan talk about why that is while going into some of the questions that we have about the 2018 season. Among those questions has to do with the offensive line and a recent Field Gulls article has Adam musing if Mike Solari is the coaching version of Jay Cutler. In other news, after retiring from coaching, Bruce Arians may now be more of a part of our lives as Seahawks fans than he was by coaching in the division. Earl Thomas is still in the news and we expect that he is probably not going to get an extension before the season. But he is going to be a member of the Seahawks this year - so stop it with the Cowboys talk! And speaking of the things that are silly to talk about, Russell Wilson expecting a franchise tag in 2020 is another one of them. But when Pete Carroll is throwing around glowing praise for their new 7th round quarterback, maybe his agent wants to try and cash in on a new contract right now. What can't Alex McGough do? Dugar, formerly of the Seattle PI, is now a writer for The Athletic. His latest article discusses the Seahawks receiving corps and we talk about his roster breakdown and talk about if the Seahawks make a mistake by not drafting a receiver. Or should they count on the guys they brought in from recent years? Continuing our draft coverage this week as we eavesdrop in on their phone calls with John Schneider and Pete Carroll for most of the Seahawks draft picks. Of course the player from Montana would be the one call we'd need to censor with a catfish, and the call to Shaquem Griffin to let him know he's joining his brother in Seattle would be about as emotional as one would expect. Adam offers his thoughts on the selections of each of the picks and both of the guys break tradition and actually give a letter grade to the Seahawks for the class as a whole. With the selection of a punter in the fifth round, a lot of people were seeming to make a big deal about how the Seahawks traded up to make that selection, but the guys explain how little that criticism means at that point in the draft. In fact, they talk about how taking a player at that point in the draft may make it easier to point toward a successful 2018 draft a couple years down the road. The 2018 NFL Draft is in the books for the Seahawks and the team made worldwide news by taking Shaquem Griffin, twin brother of Shaquille Griffin, in the fifth round of the draft. Griffin was born with amniotic band syndrome and had his left hand amputated at age four. He becomes the first one-handed player drafted into the NFL. Seattle continued their push to improve the run game by being the second team to take a running back in the draft and selecting Rashaad Penny out of San Diego State. Will Dissly became the first player from the University of Washington drafted by the Seahawks since Jerramy Stevens was taken in the first round back in 2002. Jones was a player that was expected to go sooner in the draft, but may have fallen in the draft due to some of his numbers in the combine. Martin displayed a level of toughness at Temple that would be appealing to the Seahawks. Mcgough was a player who seemed to go under the radar leading up to the draft, but had a statistic that Seattle seemed particularly intrigued by. Samuel Gold of Sam's Film Room on Field Gulls also joined the show to talk about his upcoming breakdown video of Rashaad Penny. While Penny wasn't his second-favorite running back on the board, he did have him as the fourth best in the class. Sam said his criteria for taking a running back in the first round is that he wanted to see a complete all-around player or someone with elite running talent. He says pass blocking is a major area of improvement for Penny. Sam also talks about Rasheem Green and the steps Green will need to take in his game to become a top defensive lineman at the professional level. He points toward one college game in particular where Green showed that playing on the interior of the defensive line might be difficult for him in the pros and why he is projected to play defensive end with the ability to move inside to rush the passer.

Pete Carroll was interviewed last week on 950 KJR and touched on a number of storylines that have come up throughout the offseason. The guys listen in and comment on his thoughts about looking at Josh Allen this offseason, Pete's answer to whether or not Earl Thomas will be a Seahawk in 2018 and if there's anything we should be reading into why he's not at voluntary workouts. One of the news items from this past week was that Michael Bennett admitted to reading books during Pete's meetings. Carroll addressed that along with the reason why there have been some key departures from the team and how part of it has to do with his perception of a player's focus. At 21:48, Rob Staton is back on the show to talk about some of the offensive prospects the Seahawks have visited with. With a shift in philosophy based on the outcome of last year's top pick, Rob thinks that Christian Kirk could be a relatively safe pick for Seattle and a guy who can have an impact at receiver and on special teams. We also revisit the offensive line and some of his favorite players that could help add to the offensive line. Jumping back to the defensive side of the ball, where we focused primarily last week, Brandan asks Rob about a few players who were projected as top 10-15 picks a year ago. What may have caused them to fall back into the second, third and fourth rounds? Which one could be most likely to land with Seattle? A couple weeks back, the guys looked at some of the player's draft profiles to find some questionable strengths and weaknesses. This week, they have what might be the most baffling descriptions of a player on an NFL.com scouting report. After taking a couple days to take in the Seahawks schedule and compare it to other schedules throughout the league, Dave Bloomquist joins Brandan on the show to talk about his breakdown and why the Seahawks have received one of the three most difficult schedules in the NFL. At first glance, the back end of the schedule set up nicely for Seattle, but when you consider the minor advantages given to opponents early on it may not make a difference by the end of the year. One advantage the Seahawks did get over past seasons is the weather. Traditionally the trip to Carolina happens early in the season but is much later this year. Dave runs through his list of teams who have the top 3 most beneficial schedules. Not surprising to him was that the Patriots were one of those teams. But one of the Seahawks rivals also landed in his top 3 most favorable schedules, but it wasn't the team one might expect. We kick off our 200th show with a big announcement. Seattle had landed what might just be the biggest catch in free agency. John Schneider has gone fishing and he landed a Seabass. It only took 200 shows for Adam to feel like the Seahawks might be tuning in to hear his thoughts on some of the most needed additions to the team. Seattle is set to make a bunch of new additions to the team in a couple of weeks with the 2018 NFL Draft right around the corner. Rob Staton of seahawksdraftblog.com joins the show to talk about some of the college players who have visited with the Seahawks. Rob gives his thoughts on what he thinks it would take for the Seahawks to stay put with the 18th pick and forego drafting on the second day of the draft. He also discusses his philosophy around some of the players who might not have draftable grades, but are among the names Seattle is bringing in for a private visit. That may have an impact on where these players decide to go if they are among the many undrafted free agents at the conclusion of the draft. After the discussion with Rob, Brandan and Adam get into a couple of the biggest news items from this past week as Seattle reportedly cancels a visit with Colin Kaepernick who had been scheduled to come in for a workout. Is this a signal that the Seahawks are trending toward a team that wants less "hoopla" surrounding it? Dez Bryant was just cut by the Cowboys, so expect the talk about Earl Thomas to ramp up, because it has already started. During last week's show we discussed the logical reasoning why John Schneider might be watching Wyoming QB Josh Allen throw at his pro day. Not long after, a comment about a Russell Wilson rep talking to Schneider suddenly turned into rampant speculation of Wilson's future departure from the team. The guys go back to the comment that kicked it off to discuss what could have happened to generate this wave of terrifying stories. The guys run down some of the skill position players that the Seahawks have reportedly met with over the past few months. Quarterback Chris Streveler heads up the list and has a beard worth checking out. Of the three running backs, Ito Smith may have the best story behind how he was named, and one of the three receivers has "stick and stay" hands. They've even talked to a fullback that could help solve some of the short yardage woes we've seen from the team in past seasons. Seahawks General Manager John Schneider was interviewed this past week and we now have the official term for how to characterize this offseason. We were too drastic by referring to it as a Hawkpocalypse? Maybe so, although John's son Jack shares many of the same questions we fans have. With almost half of the most highly paid Seahawks players under contract for just one season left, what kind of reset could we see next season? In the history of the team, the Seahawks have never lost more than two Pro Bowl caliber players in an offseason. But this team there will be at least three who won't return. But there were some moments in Seahawks history where the sheer number of turnover within the starting lineup was more than half from the previous season. One of those times was when Coach Carroll first arrived, another was when the team was just getting going in the late 70s. Earl Thomas wants to be a Seahawk for life and types out a note to share online about what Seattle has meant to him. Trevonne Boykin is no longer a member of the Seahawks after some gruesome allegations, and Michael Bennett also found himself in the spotlight of law enforcement this past week after an incident during Super Bowl 51. Adam shares a story in the do better segment this week that might turn your stomach and Brandan goes after an NFL head coach who sounds like he wants to bring back the 'No Fun League.' The Seahawks have signed what many hope to be their most impactful free agent signing yet by bringing in D.J. Fluker. Fluker is another top draft pick from the 2013 season, and Kenneth Arthur, managing editor of Field Gulls, joins us to talk about the move along with some of his observations from the offseason to this point. One of the things Kenneth likes best about the Fluker signing - it's better than paying top dollar for the other guards who hit the market. But the best possible outcome might be finding a guard via the draft who can ultimately take over at that position. Despite all of the change this offseason, Kenneth says the direction of the team seems to be an approach toward sticking to the philosophy that got the team to a Super Bowl. Cutting Richard Sherman even allows them to keep last year's roster together as much as possible by allowing them to keep Dion Jordan, Justin Coleman, Bradley McDougald and potentially Byron Maxwell. The Seahawks were at their best when they had rookies playing at a high level with contracts that were far below the value they offered. They were able to find players in that "middle class" who were able to compete and produce in ways that led them to extensions with the team. In hindsight, perhaps it would have been better to move on from those players. We discuss the projections of the Seahawks possibly only winning six games, and Kenneth points out how a top quarterback like Phillip Rivers has been able to produce winning seasons without a lot of help around him. Even if a couple big names leave, Russell Wilson should be able to lead the Seahawks to a winning record. Clinton Bonner joins the show to talk about some of the moves from the offseason including Luke Willson's departure. He talks about what he's going to miss most from the Wilson to Willson connection. He also has a new public access show he's starting called TNT Dynamite Thursdays that launches on Thursday. We didn't think it would happen last offseason, and we still didn't expect it to happen this offseason, but Richard Sherman is no longer a member of the Seahawks now. What's worse is that he's actually a member of the San Francisco 49ers. A team that he seemed to have an strong sports hate for himself while Jim Harbaugh was coaching there. Adam and Brandan talk about how difficult it is to see him go there, but also with an understanding of why it made it an easy choice for him based on the circumstances. A big cast of characters is heading out the door as we enter free agency and we give a Hunger Games style sendoff to Sherman, Deshawn Shead, Jeremy Lane, Jimmy Graham, Paul Richardson and Sheldon Richardson. As all those players head out the door there's just a few coming back through it to start free agency. The guys talk about why that is and what it could mean for the upcoming season at this point. Because this was a tough week for so many of us, we read a few thoughts from listeners of the show and take some questions that came in via email. It really looks as though we've come to the end of an era of a historically great Seahawks defense and it opens up the doors for Pete Carroll and John Schneider to make a run at putting together another team that may be structured in a different way. Apparently the Hawkpocalypse is here and it has started with Michael Bennett being traded to the Eagles. Before that trade was announced, reports came out that Richard Sherman was saying goodbye to teammates and reports are suggesting that his release from the team is imminent. But after listening to reports that he was going to be traded last year, is this actually going to happen? Danny Kelly of the Ringer, former editor in chief at Field Gulls, joins the show and believes that this offseason will be the end of an era in Seattle and that it's time to "reboot" the defense with a younger group of players. After the Bennett trade, playing younger players is one of the main points that seems to resonate now from John Schneider's press conference at the combine. Danny was there and talks about some of the rumors he heard there and also about Shaquem Griffin and his combine performance. If the Seahawks do free up some cap space going into free agency, we talk about where to spend the money. Danny talks about the offensive line, a couple of top free agents the Seahawks could have their eye on and how change their scheme can help lead to success in the run game. To talk NFL combine action over the weekend, Rob Staton of seahawksdraftblog.com joins the show to talk about his takeaways from the event. Before getting to the prospects, they discuss Pete Carroll and John Schneider's press conference as well as the recent reports of the Seahawks interest to find a trade partner for Michael Bennett. We kick off our discussion about the combine by talking about running backs and offensive line, considering the weakness of the Seahawks last year and running the football. The guys look as possible picks in the earlier rounds as well as potential players on day 3 of the draft. Rob considers running backs and interior offensive lineman a strength of this draft and Adam is happy there might be some top guards who played guard in college. John Schneider was asked about Lamar Jackson during his press conference and Brandan and Adam speculate on why his response was somewhat intriguing and Rob offers his perspective on the range of the draft board Jackson should land. They also get into Shaquem Griffin's combine performance, and while there's a lot to be excited about there's also a key detail that shows up on tape that would be a negative for the Seahawks. There are some underwhelming areas of talent in the draft as well. The defensive linemen didn't perform well for the most part and the wide receiver position appears to be lacking talented players who could start right away. The Seahawks also had one of the strangest stories coming out of the combine by challenging a punter to a staring competition. Is this what Coach Carroll means when he says, "always compete"? With the new league year and free agency just a couple weeks away, this week's show focuses on how the Seahawks should approach free agency. Is it best to fill needs through free agency or trust your scouting and address the biggest needs through the draft? The guys look at the various position groups for the ones that seem to be the most critical to address this offseason. When looking at the offensive line, it seems as though there's still a spot on this team for George Fant even with Tom Cable now in Oakland, but Adam doesn't want to admit it. There was a recent article by a Seattle reporter and national analyst toying with the idea that the Seahawks should consider trading Russell Wilson. With that in mind, the guys mock up a phone call between the general managers of the Browns and Seahawks. (31:57) How the Seahawks approach free agency will also be dependent on how they view their chances at getting compensatory picks in the 2019 draft. Brandan talks about which Seahawks free agents could net Seattle some compensatory picks next year if they move on in free agency. With Trumaine Johnson looking like he'll be moving on, how much better are the Rams going to be with Peters? The biggest news of the week seems to be the Russell Wilson trade from the Rangers to the New York Yankees. As the Seahawks launch into the offseason with a clear goal of running the football better, this week we look at a team who made some dramatic shifts on offense a year ago and ended up playing for a chance at the Super Bowl this year. Pete Carroll called this Sunday's game against the Cardinals a microcosm of the season. Because he's absolutely right the brief overview of this game ends up leading into some of the major complaints for the season as a whole. Adam and Brandan attempt to dissect where some of the major grips are, and recognizing that this team still went 9-7 shows how the situation isn't as dire as many would suggest. Especially when you consider the circumstances of injuries and 3-4 kicks that contributed to missing the postseason. Brandan recognizes that while it wasn't a "championship caliber" team at the end of the season, it was still a team that could rise up and get a win. Looking at how the team played from the first half of games to the second halves of games demonstrated there isn't an issue with talent on the team and how it must some different aspects of coaching or team mentality. Michael Bennett told the Tacoma News Tribune that he doesn't expect to be back next season. The guys offer their reaction and look ahead at the players under contract that could be salary cap casualties as well as the guys on the list who are set to become free agents. The first half of the show ends with an email from Brett in Sydney who offers some of his least favorite moves from the front office in 2017. In the second half of the show, the guys take a look at how sports hate impacts their rooting interest for the playoffs. Though the final offensive statistics weren't what we've come to expect from a Seahawks team, this 21-12 victory over the Cowboys reminded both Adam and Brandan of a version of this Seattle team from recent history. Russell Wilson didn't need to put it in the air 30-40 times to get a win, instead they kept it on the ground and grinded out 30 runs while getting takeaways from the defense to secure the win. The run defense returned to help slow down Elliot's return to the Cowboys and it successfully ended any playoff chance for Dallas this season. Yet, Earl Thomas was caught on camera campaigning for his favorite team growing up to come get him. Needing a victory over the Cardinals at home and a Falcons loss to the Panthers, the guys look ahead not just to the Arizona game but potential playoff opponents. Two options Adam doesn't want, one that he's okay with, and one that both guys really, really want to see happen in the Wild Card round. Even after a loss to the division rival, it turns out that the Seahawks can still win the division. If that's the case, why are people ready to throw in the towel, not just on the season but seemingly throw in the towel on the future potential of this team. Adam and Brandan put the loss to the Rams in historical context. With that context, it may be easier to understand why some Seahawks fans seem to be losing their mind. If there's any lingering frustration after the Seahawks 30-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, let's get it all out now. Adam and Brandan read through comments from The Flock following the game that hit all of the major points of frustration. But perhaps it's not the team to blame, maybe it's one of our listeners who is 0-4 when he's not able to watch the games live. No matter what happens, he's pledging to watch the upcoming game against the Rams live. Whether you're a Seahawks player or a fan, it's likely this Jaguars team was under your skin a bit. Adam says there's a specific year of Seahawks team that he compares the Jaguars defense to (and no it's not the defense that ended up winning the Super Bowl in the 2013 season). Even though this could have given the team a key game toward a spot in the playoffs, Seattle did get some help from a previous opponent. The guys talk about how small the margin of error now is for the team moving forward. Looking ahead to Sunday's game against the Rams, there are two key players we're waiting to hear the status on: Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright. These guys were a big reason why Todd Gurley was kept in check in the previous meeting between the two teams earlier in the season. But things have changed for both of these teams. The Rams defense has shown a lot more consistency and the Seahawks offensive line has improved greatly. Seattle may even have more of a running game at this point in the season. With the Philadelphia Eagles coming into town this past week, Seahawks fans heard over and over how their opposition put up more points in the first quarter than any other team. Not only that, but their opponents had yet to score a first quarter touchdown. Seattle put an end to that streak and got out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, which turned the tables on the Eagles who had to try and come back from a 17-3 deficit by the 3rd quarter. Timely penalties by the Eagles defense helped keep the Seahawks on the field along with a lateral pass that has stirred up some controversy (because the Seahawks can't win in prime time without it). And Seattle's defense once again forced a fumble that went out the back of the end zone to help keep points off the board. It was a tremendous defensive performance and a reminder to anyone that might consider doubting the capabilities of a team down three Pro Bowl starters. Next up, the Seahawks head down to Jacksonville as the guys talk about some things to consider when Russell Wilson goes up against the NFL's top scoring defense and a league leading passing defense. The formula for taking down the Jaguars isn't much different than the one they've used in the past in wins against the Eagles and Rams. With the win over the San Francisco 49ers, Russell Wilson passed another big milestone as the winningest quarterback in NFL history through his first six seasons. He also became the fastest players to throw for 150 touchdowns and rush for 3,000 yards. That puts him up with only seven other NFL players in history to hit those numbers and half of the retired players on that list are in the Hall of Fame. Bobby Wagner had another big game with an incredible interception and it was also a big day for tight ends. Nick Vannett caught his first touchdown pass in the NFL and Jimmy Graham now has more touchdown catches than any other Seahawks tight end in team history. Adam and Brandan talk about how much fun the tight ends room must be at the team facility and how it compares to the receiver's room. The Seahawks come up a couple feet short from tying the game at the end of regulation and end up losing 34-31 to the Falcons. Seattle has now lost in back-to-back games at home and yet they're still in position to win the NFC West. Adam and Brandan analyze all of the areas in this game where things went wrong and also look at what went right for Seattle. Russell Wilson had some more incredible plays and Tyler Lockett made the highlight reels with his kick returns. One thing we're not talking about after the Atlanta game is how the loss of Chancellor and Sherman ultimately didn't seem to be the difference to costing the game. There were so many other factors that contributed, including speculation of why Thomas Rawls has to sit out a game so Eddie Lacy can get a couple snaps in this game. Now that it's been a full week since last Thursday's game, Brandan and Adam discuss the Seahawks win over the Arizona Cardinals. Sunday's loss is probably going to be one of those games that sticks with Seahawks fans for the rest of the season. It was a game, much like a game against the Cardinals last year, where it looked like a win was imminent. The closer the team gets to the postseason, the more it looks like the game will have a big impact on how the playoff picture shapes up. This seems like it will be that game for the 2017 season. The Seahawks make a big move at the trade deadline to get an All-Pro caliber offensive lineman as Duane Brown comes to the team. Seattle gives up a couple of high draft picks and end up keeping Jeremy Lane after he fails a physical. Brandan is baffled that the Texans would find a way to send him back to Seattle, especially considering the outcome of what may have been the best NFL game to watch this year. The Seahawks and Texans battled back and forth the entire game. Seattle was the only team with back-to-back scores and Russell Wilson accumulates another "stat." Although the Seahawks defense gave up nearly 40 points, there were some noteworthy performances on the defensive line and multiple interceptions by the Legion of Boom helped Russell Wilson and the offense to rack up enough points in a shootout nobody could have predicted. The guys talk about Deshaun Watson and how he deserves praise for the kind of performance that even veteran quarterbacks haven't been able to achieve in Seattle. After a 24-7 victory over the New York Giants, the Seattle Seahawks return home to Seattle for a two-game home stand. What the defense has shown in the last two road games is exactly what many fans expected from this team. Brandan and Adam talk about some of the top performances on defense and look at what happened on offense that led to a 7-3 halftime deficit. Four turnovers by the Seahawks defense helped to keep Seattle in the game and ultimately earn the victory over the L.A. Rams. But we shouldn't be too quick to call them the best performing unit for the Seahawks on Sunday. It's a Seahawks blowout on Sunday Night Football as the Seahawks get the 46-18 win, but it's important to remind ourselves that the Seahawks were tied with 20 minutes left in this game. It wasn't until Russell Wilson showed some emotion getting into the end zone that it seemed to propel the team in the second half. While it's a bit cliché to refer to football as a game of inches, we saw why in this game. Every inch seemed to go Indy's way in the first half, and Seattle ended up getting those same breaks in the second half. Last week, we talked about Justin Coleman's absence since seeing him take over for Jeremy Lane in game one. Now Coleman has earned a new nickname thanks to some help from Jacoby Brissett in reuniting the young corner with his family. This is the week to say CATFISH the Rams. Los Angeles is leading the NFL in points and has been very productive on offense early on this season. With injuries stacking up after last week's game, the guys look at who has been practicing and who will be out. Rees Odhiambo had a scary injury against the Colts and incredibly looks like he's on his way to play in the game against the Rams. Adam points out how this is a different Rams team this year. This will be the first time in many years the Seahawks face this team without Jeff Fisher leading the team. The defense continues to be scary, but the guys talk about one weakness that teams have been exploiting throughout the first quarter of the season this year. The Seattle Seahawks have eight straight wins in their home opener in the Pete Carroll era, eight straight wins over the 49ers, and we've enduring eight straight quarters of football that has been difficult to watch in terms of the offense. While the issue seemed clear last week, it seems as though there's more to be concerned about after the latest win. Seattle drops its first game of the 2017 season after going into Lambeau Field and losing 17-9 to the Green Bay Packers. Despite the Seahawks remaining winless there since 1999, fans had a lot of reason for optimism after seeing how the defense performed against one of the league's top teams and top quarterback. The Seahawks defense nearly got the team its first points on an Aaron Rodgers interception by rookie Naz Jones. But the play was called back because of a pair of penalties, one that got Jeremy Lane ejected from the game less than 10 defensive snaps into the game. The ejection gave Pete Carroll and the Seahawks an long look at rookie Shaquille Griffin and slot corner Justin Coleman. Both seemed to complement a squad stacked with Pro Bowl defenders. Former Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson played like the interior defender the Seahawks have been looking for. During last week's show, Adam and Brandan talked about how John Schneider would look at talent across the league to make some additions. In turns out that he wanted to make a much bigger splash than the usual additions of some fringe players on the roster. The Seahawks send Jermaine Kearse and a second round pick to the New York Jets for Pro Bowl defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson. Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin looked like they were already in midseason form as they put on a show in front of the home crowd. Russell Wilson threw for two touchdowns and the Seattle defense held the Vikings first-team offense to a couple field goals. Kasen Williams had another score and appears to have locked up a job on this team in the eyes of most fans. The starters played just one drive against the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend, but the story of the game was showcasing the depth of talent the Seahawks have this season. The 2nd team offense, helped by turnovers created by the 2nd team defense, put up 31 points before halftime. The Chargers were shut out in the second half to give Seattle the 48-17 victory. We're celebrating a full four years of the Sea Hawkers Podcast this week, and we have a former Super Bowl Champion long snapper coming on the show to help celebrate this week. Clint Gresham has a new book coming out called, Becoming: Loving the Process to Wholeness. Seahawks training camp is underway and Brandan and Adam are jacked up and ready to go for the 2017 season. Rivals Month continues this week with Oscar from the Better Rivals Podcast as we take a look at the offseason for the San Francisco 49ers. OTAs have wrapped up, the Seahawks mandatory minicamp is over, and now we get into a dark period of a couple weeks before training camp starts. The good news is the season is just around the corner! So far news about the heath of players has been positive as well and nobody sounds more excited than Thomas Rawls. Rawls is so excited, he feels like he needs to take up more than one spot on the depth chart. Adam and Brandan discuss why we fans should remember what had us so excited about Thomas Rawls as the team's #1 running back. Incredibly sad news this past week as we learned of the passing of Seahawks Hall of Fame defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy. Kennedy passed away at the age of 48. Adam and Brandan bring on former Seahawks defensive back Nesby Glasgow to talk about his memories of Tez as well as his memories of finishing off his career in a Seahawks uniform. In other Seahawks news from the past week, Colin Kaepernick made a visit to Seattle in addition to another backup prospect Austin Davis. Is it time we start, at the very least, considering the idea that Kap may be the Seahawks backup quarterback? Michael Bennett had Kapernick's back this past week and his support found him in a Twitter war with Stephen A. Smith. That wasn't the only fight he got into with a highly opinionated member of the media as Matt Calkins of the Seattle Times took some shots at him, which Bennett responded by advocating a boycott of the local newspaper. Introducing a new segment for the show this week as the guys break open some of the recent clickbait headlines with a parody jingle that we hope you enjoy. In real news, Tom Cable went on the radio recently and got the Luke Joekel hype train rolling, so the guys talk about what that could mean for the left side of the offensive line. Rookie minicamp took place recently and we bring in the audio that stood out to us from each of the players along with each player's new number. We recognize some of the players from the past who wore the same number. News this week made it sound like Colin Kaepernick would be the perfect backup quarterback for the Seahawks, however we're missing one key piece of information about how much Kaep would be willing to play for. For some reason a lot of people are assuming he's going to take close to the veteran minimum. If he were to come to the Seahawks, the team doesn't have much more room for that under their cap. Jason Cole uses a statement from Michael Bennett to re-hash and old story about how Russell Wilson doesn't mesh well with the locker room. But the language he uses doesn't even make sense, so the guys try and figure out what he could even mean by perceived favoritism.
