In this show, we preview the Seahawks matchup with the Packers on Sunday Night Football. Not only a matchup of great teams, but the Packers were undefeated at home last season and the Seahawks have only lost one primetime game with head coach Pete Carroll. We talk about some of the matchups we'd like to see the Seahawks take advantage of and the challenges the Seahawks defense will be faced with. Another game and another yard short as the Seahawks lose 34-31 to the Rams to start the 2015 season. Adam and Brandan touch on the positives and the negatives from the past game including a look at the offensive line, red zone performance and a more aggressive style in defense in some aspects. One thing that hasn't changed: Michaell Bennett still seems to think the neutral zone is an okay place to hang out prior to the snap. We have our first conspiracy theory of the season as Adam thinks Hauschka was executing exactly what he was told to do for the overtime kickoff. He doesn't buy the explanation coming from the players or coaches that the ball was supposed to be kicked farther down the field. Even with the loss, there were some big plays to be excited about--all from new members of the team. So much to cover in this week's show! The Seahawks wrap up the preseason with a 31-21 win over the Oakland Raiders. The rookies shine as Tyler Lockett scores his third touchdown of the preseason and Frank Clark forces a fumble that Jordan Hill recovers for a touchdown. The roster was trimmed this past weekend down to 53 guys, the guys talk about surprise cuts, trades that happened and some of the new additions to the team. Fred Jackson is reunited with Marshawn Lynch after sharing a backfield early in their NFL careers in Buffalo. Week 1 of the season has arrived and the guys take a look at the matchup against the Rams. The Seahawks get their first win of the preseason on the road against the San Diego Chargers thanks to a 60-yard field goal from Steven Hauschka. In the 16-15 victory, Seattle gets all of their points from special teams including another touchdown return by rookie wide receiver Tyler Lockett. Of course, this leaves us with questions about the Seahawks offense and many fans concerned about what to expect when the regular season starts in less than two weeks. Brandan and Adam feel that it's important to remember the way we've seen this Seahawks team win in the past as well as a reminder that two of the team's best players (one on offense and one on defense) haven't been playing in the preseason. The Seahawks have cut a number of players to get down to the 75-man roster by Tuesday and it appears Drew Nowak has won the starting center job based on one of the most notable names cut. The Hawks get a draft pick from Carolina for a wide receiver drafted in 2014, and the guys' favorite Seahawks emcee is let go following a solid effort in San Diego. The Seahawks drop their second straight game of the preseason, 14-13, to the Kansas City Chiefs, but the important thing to remember is that they were up 10-7 when the starters went out of the game. Adam and Brandan recap the noticeable improvement with the changes in the offensive line. While Adam shares his excitement about Bobby Wagner's pick six, he also feels that the offense should score more points in the game than the defense. Brandan talks about how fans were able to see a hint of the type of impact Jimmy Graham could have on offense. The Seahawks fall to the Broncos, 22-20, in the week 1 preseason matchup. Adam and Brandan talk about the highlights, the lowlights, and some general observations. It's game week! With mere hours left until kickoff of the Seahawks preseason game against the Denver Broncos, Adam and Brandan talk about some of the things to watch for during Friday's game. Want to know what the Legion of Boom would look like without Earl Thomas in Kam Chancellor? No? It doesn't matter. We kick off this week with a bit of the latest Seahawks news. Is Russell Wilson greedy for reportedly turning down a deal that would pay him similar to Cam Newton. While many seem to be writing off San Francisco considering all of the change this offseason, Oscar finds reason to be optimistic his team could finish with double digit wins. Cam Newton is the latest $100 million quarterback and Adam says that's a club Russell Wilson is willing to wait to join. Michael Bennett wants to be in that same club of guys getting new deals, though he's only one year into his contract, Brandan offers additional background on the issue. The offseason continues with another rules change, this time to the PAT. The guys talk about how much, if any, it has the potential to affect the league and the Seahawks. Adam and Brandan take some time to lay out their thoughts on Seattle's second-round pick Frank Clark and why they feel the draft got off to a disappointing start. Your Seattle Seahawks are NFC West Champions for the second straight season following a 20-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams. The guys talk about some of the concerns about the team going into halftime and how the Seahawks rebounded to earn home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Seahawks score 21 points in the fourth quarter on their way to a 35-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Adam and Brandan are reasonably sure they could feel Seattle fans jumping up and down two states away in Missoula, MT, during the 79-yard run by Marshawn Lynch. The guys talk about the win and what it means for the playoffs looking ahead. There's one final regular season matchup at home before Seattle heads to the playoffs and it's a matchup against the St. Louis Rams who are always a physical team when playing Seattle. The guys talk about how Shaun Hill gives the team a different look this time around. The Seahawks get a 17-7 win over the 49ers to hand them their first 3-game losing streak of the Harbaugh era and officially eliminate San Francisco from playoff contention. The guys talk about some of the unusual things that happened during the game that Seahawks fans aren't used to seeing with this team. Seattle's defense continues to be a topic of discussion as Jordan Hill has been a pleasant surprise and Bobby Wagner just seems to get better every week. Another dominant defensive performance has the Seahawks trending toward a playoff berth with the division rival 49ers next on the schedule. Adam and Brandan recap the performance against the Eagles where Seattle held the Chip Kelly offense to a mere 139 yards on the day. The guys talk about the listener's consensus player of the game on defense, Byron Maxwell, and how the opponent's yardage has continued to trend downward. It leaves the guys wondering just how low the total could go against San Francisco. Sean Widmer, co-host of the Dickau and Slim show on 700 ESPN Spokane, comes on the show this week to talk Seahawks. To commemorate the occasion, we form our own legion of Seahawks fans and start with a guy who is in fact a member of Mama Sherman's Legion of Super Fans. Cedric James Morris joins the show to talk about how he got the effort started to get Richard and Beverly Sherman highlighted as the new face of Campbell's Chunky Soup. Right after we launched last week's show, Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin performed an epic skit/press conference and we talk about a recent article about Marshawn Lynch considering retirement. Next on our guest list and considering Jenny Goos has been our most frequent guest over the past 50 shows, she was a clear choice to bring on the show especially with her recent selection as STAR 101.5's 12th Woman of the week. We move on to preview the matchup with the Eagles and then chop it up with our final guest of the day, Norb Caoili who has been entertaining us this year with his recent Rivals video series. Happy Thanksgiving week 12s! With the Seahawks on a shortened schedule, so are we. Adam and Brandan talk about all the big plays from the 19-3 win. Seattle shows a dominant defensive effort in holding the Cardinals to their fewest amount of yards and points all season. The Seahawks face the 49ers on Thanksgiving Day and while San Francisco hasn't been winning pretty, they've been doing what is necessary to win. The defense has been making sure this team stays in the game. Following the Marshawn Lynch that has all the media outlets talking, Brandan and Adam have a little fun with the audio to ask a few questions of their own. We take reaction from podcast listeners input via the Facebook page on whether or not his interview deserves to fall into the "do better" or "better at life" category. The Bills organization and Lions center earn a "do better" nod while Odell Beckham Jr. and Justin Tuck are "better at life."

In a 24-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Adam and Brandan agree the loss hasn't doomed Seattle from returning to post-season play. They only have to look back to the 2012 season to demonstrate how things can change for a team late in the season. Recapping the Chiefs game, one thing they disagree on is the role officiating played on two key calls in the game. Brandan points out a big difference in how the Seahawks defense is playing in comparison to last season. Previewing the Cardinals matchup, both agree that this could be a favorable matchup for the Seattle defense considering how Drew Stanton plays the game. How the Seattle offensive line holds up against the Cardinals defense will be important to watch. Rob from the Arizona Birdgang podcast checks in with the show this week to talk about the Cardinals 9-1 season and this week's matchup with the Seahawks. Are the Cardinals already a lock for the NFC West title, Rob thinks so where his fellow co-hosts are a bit hesitant. The guys are floored by the listeners' response to the challenge to surpass the Cardinals podcast and read through several reviews and award show stickers to some of their favorites. Brandan has an extended do better for those in the media who continue to re-report about Marshawn Lynch when all they do is bring up prior stories to support an viewpoint that doesn't seem to be backed up with any hard facts. The Seahawks show a dominant performance on the ground as Marshawn Lynch led the team to 350 yards on the ground to set a new team record. Russell Wilson also had more than 100 yards, but has not been the same in the last five games as he was in his first four games to start the season. Adam talks about where he may be struggling. Brandon Mebane is out for the season. As of the recording he hadn’t yet been placed on injured reserve. Because he’s in the negotiation phase of the steps of grief, Adam talks about how he would trade the win against the Giants just to have Mebane back for the season. Next up, the Seahawks head to Arrowhead to take on the Chiefs. The guys talk about the tough test Kansas City will bring. Brandan talks about one statistic about the Chiefs defense that may be misleading and offer the Seahawks offense a vulnerability to attack. Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon, a 17-year NFL veteran and Seahawks broadcaster, joins the show this week to say thanks to service members past and present and talks about Russell Wilson, Brandon Mebane and cookies. Johnnie compares the win over the Raiders to a meal at Taco Bell and the start of the season to the 2004 Seahawks team. Russell Wilson engineers a game-winning drive against the Panthers to complete a rather ugly 13-9 win. Seahawks fans can rejoice because it ends a two-game losing streak. This week Brandan checks in from Bay Area with Adam manning the fort back in Missoula to talk about optimism for the season moving forward. Though Brandan admits that some of the "battered fan syndrome" experienced in years past is starting to creep back in. They talk about how an improved pass rush impacted the game and Bruce Irvin was able to show up when it mattered post. Special teams is also a focus as Paul Richardson shows his speed on kick returns and Richard Sherman fills in as punt returner. Which one could take the job away from Bryan Walters? The guys preview the matchup against the Raiders. Brandan speaks with Raider Ron, who will be attending his 239th straight Raiders game (including home and away games). It's clear that Ron isn't expecting much for this year's team, but hopes are high for the future with budding stars on both sides of the ball. We read some of our latest reviews of the show and an email from a listener who says he's going to stop listening because of the bad juju it has brought upon the team. Adam says Cam Newton needs "do better" especially when it comes to signaling first downs even when he comes up short. Brandan directs his "do better" to Mike Freeman for unnecessarily introducing race in the story about Russell Wilson and other members of the Seahawks locker room. Russell Wilson has a record-setting performance this week in a 28-26 loss to a division rival. Adam and Brandan talk about some of the special teams plays that sunk the Seahawks this week, problems with the Seahawks pass rush and the sudden departure of Percy Harvin. The Carolina Panthers are next up on the schedule and might be just the right team for Seattle to play to get back into the win column. A Panthers defense that was the strength of the team last season is now struggling and they have injuries among other problems on the offensive line. Sound familiar. A bit, but things seem to be much worse in Carolina. The guys interview former Seahawks kicker Norm Johnson and talk about everything from his recent work in creating a craft beer for Seahawks fans -- The 12 Man Pale Ale -- to one of his best memories in helping the Seahawks reach the playoffs for the first time back in 1983. With the recent Percy Harvin trade, Norm talks about the difference certain guys can make in the locker room as Brian Bosworth was one of his least favorite guys to play with in Seattle. He discusses how he had the exact opposite experience with Deion Sanders during his time with the Falcons. The guys give this week's picks and talk about plans to add a second show to the week by breaking out the pick'em segment into a show scheduled for release on Thursdays tentatively titled "SHP: NFL Full 32."
