The Seahawks come away with their third loss of the season in a truly ugly game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The offense only manages to score a field goal thanks to a pass interference call on the Bucs and the defense adds a safety. Not only were there injuries on the offensive line, there was a shakeup at right tackle just one series into the game and the three rookies struggled all day to keep up with a dominating defensive line. Adam and Brandan talk about just what went wrong and a stat line from Russell Wilson that we rarely see. Just because the Carolina Panthers are 4-7 coming into this game doesn't mean they can't give the Seahawks a game for Sunday Night Football. The Panthers are doing well in some key areas on offense, but their defense has struggled mightily on the road this season. If there were any questions about the health of Russell Wilson going into the matchup against the Eagles, there is no doubt about his health now as we watched him catch the first touchdown pass of his career on a throw from Doug Baldwin. With another effort of 100+ yards, Baldwin now finds himself among the top Seahawks receivers of all time. The guys talk about why Baldwin deserves to make his first Pro Bowl as one of the top receivers in the NFL. The 5-4 Philadelphia Eagles travel to Seattle this weekend after taking down the Atlanta Falcons and their number one offense. The Eagles defense held the Falcons to only 15 points and continue to dominate on their home turf. But they only have one win on the road to this point in the season. Brandan has this defensive front ranked only behind teams like the Cardinals and Rams and are a huge key to their success. Adam thinks that a more mobile Russell Wilson has a chance to become the first quarterback to pass for more than 300 yards against this defense. Eagles fan Scott Fenimore comes on the show to talk about his impressions of the Eagles and whether he thinks Carson Wentz is the kind of quarterback that can lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl. He believes that even with the success of Dak Prescott that Wentz will be the best quarterback to come out of this draft class. Most Seahawks fans knew that it would be touch to expect a victory going on the road to take on Genghis Tom and the Patriots, but our Seahawks got it done. The 31-24 win came down to the final seconds of the game, something that is now becoming a weekly tradition. The offensive line did well to protect Russell Wilson, who threw for nearly 350 yards. By all accounts Wilson showed that he could outduel Brady, but there was one stat that really separated these two quarterbacks. A ton of credit for the win goes to the defense, a group that once again was able to keep the opposing team out of the end zone with another goal line stand. Coach Carroll helped make it a bit more interesting by going for two late in the game, and the guys talk about how Carroll was taking an opportunity to close out the Patriots and would have made the end of the game a lot less stressful. The guys revisit the discussion about Kam Chancellor from last show, because Kam came out and proved the kind of impact that he can have on this defense as he had several key plays that helped lead the team to victory. The guys return home to Montana after a great trip out to Seattle for the Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills. The Seahawks picked up their fifth win of the season with a 31-25 victory and the guys take a look at some of the biggest plays, concerns with the secondary, and take a closer look at the play at the end of the half. The Seahawks come away with a 31-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Adam and Brandan are joined by Stu and Adam of the U.K. Sea Hawkers to talk about another prime time win. But with any win on Monday night game, there in controversy in a Seahawks win and the guys talk about the end of the first half and how fans can expect a new rule to come out of everything that transpired. The guys talk about an incredible game by Jimmy Graham who goes over 100 yards again and catches two touchdowns in one hand pinned behind his back by a defender. The Seahawks go down to New Orleans and jump out quickly against the Saints with a 14-3 lead. But add in a turnover with their inability to sustain a drive and hold the ball in terms of time of possession, the Saint climb back in to within a point of the Seahawks by halftime. While there was a lot of talk about some significant calls and missed calls by the referees, Adam and Brandan explain why this Seahawks team should have been able to outscore Drew Brees and the Saints offense. Seattle ran fewer than 20 plays in the first half one week after a similar scenario in Arizona. Coach Carroll recognizes the issues the offense is seeing and he says we can expect changes in the upcoming weeks. Does Marshawn Lynch's visit to the Seahawks facility have anything to do with Carroll's expectations for change? Adam and Brandan speculate on the possibilities. Adam predicts a tight game with the Bills, but it could depend on which Buffalo team shows up. They've been up and down and now have lost back-to-back games to AFC East opponents. To help give their team the spark it needs for the trip to Seattle, Buffalo has called Percy Harvin in off retirement to make the trip out to take on his former team. There's a lot to process with this week's tie game against the Cardinals. Not only was it the lowest scoring tie game in NFL history, it was the first time the Seahawks have ever tied an opponent. We could run down the entire defensive roster if we were only handing out praise. The Seahawks dominate the Falcons for three of the four quarters of Sunday's game and come away with a 26-24 victory. The final wasn't without controversy as Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas broke up a pass intended for Julio Jones and it looked like pass interference could have been called on Sherman. The guys talk about the play and break down some of the differences in the Seahawks defense that allowed the Falcons to run up 21 points in one quarter. We preview the upcoming matchup with the division rival Arizona Cardinals. The surging Cardinals have won in back-to-back weeks against the 1-5 San Francisco 49ers and 1-5 New York Jets. A Seahawks win means they go up 2.5 games in the standings while a loss puts them only a half-game ahead of the Cardinals. After an early bye week, the Seahawks have an opportunity to get healthy and capture the lead in the NFC West after a Rams loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Seattle Seahawks get a 27-17 win over the New York Jets as the team heads into their bye week. Considering the team's dominance at MetLife, is it time to start referring to the stadium as CenturyLink east? And how gratifying was it to see, just days after an article saying how a one-legged Wilson was as useful as a right handed Jim Zorn, Russell Wilson deliver one of the best performances of his career. Just barely into his fifth season, Wilson is standing alone among quarterbacks who came before him. The guys explain. Wilson isn't the only one who gets a ton of credit for the win. The guys talk about how the Seahawks first rounder picked right back up where he left off in the preseason and with Justin Britt's pancake blocks, and Glowinski having a solid performance are giving this interior offensive line an attitude we haven't seen from a Seahawks offensive line in recent memory. Seahawks fans finally get what they've been expecting to see from this year's team as Seattle jumps out to a 37-3 lead against the San Francisco 49ers. Two late touchdowns by the Niners brings the final score to 37-18, but there wasn't a point in the game where the Seahawks weren't in control. From the third play of the game where Christine Michael bolted into the end zone from 41 yards out to the final touchdown catch by Doug Baldwin from the backup quarterback, the outcome of the game was never in question. The guys talk about the injury to Russell Wilson and how they feel about the idea of having him play in the game against the Jets. Does it make sense to have him sit out and be ready for the 12-game stretch of regular season opponents after the bye week? The Seahawks lose their first road game of the season, 9-3 in Los Angeles, and at this point should we really be surprised that it came at the hands of a Rams team that continues to find a way to beat Seattle even after moving into the same time zone? Though we knew going into this game it was going to be a tough matchup for this Seahawks offensive line, there are a couple players that stand out in a bad way and one player that is now standing above the rest. Defensively, this team couldn't be playing much better, but they couldn't seem to get a stop when the Rams were deep in their own territory and that made field position a key part of the game. With San Francisco next up on the schedule, the guys wonder which 49ers defense shows up this week in Seattle. Will it be the one that shut down Todd Gurley and shut out the Rams in their home opener, or the one that allowed 176 rushing yards and more than 500 yards total against the Carolina Panthers. For the defense to continue dominating the opposition, the guys look for Deshawn Shead to bounce back against San Francisco and their group of mediocre receivers. The Seahawks open the season with a 12-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Defense and special teams carried the day for most of the game and the offense comes up with a 75-yard drive when they need it most to earn the victory. While Brandan wants to hand deliver a game ball to Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills, Adam gives his to Jeremy Lane who had a tremendous impact as part of the Legion of Boom. The defense, apart from one star player, seemed to have its swagger and looked like the defense that led the scoring the past four years. This week, Adam and Brandan kick off the show by hitting the highlights from the Seahawks 27-17 preseason win over the Cowboys. It's the first loss of the season as the Seahawks fall 18-11 to the Vikings. Despite a late interception that allowed the go ahead touchdown for the Vikings, Trevone Boykin had another exciting outing and once again nearly brought the team back at the end of the game. The longer Pete Carroll coaches, the more efficient he becomes, because we're only one game into the preseason and he already has the young players understanding the mentality of the team to play until the last second ticks off the clock. Minicamp and other offseason workouts have concluded. Brandan and Adam talk about some of the major story lines coming out of Seattle. With all of the positive news coming from players and coaches, the guys talk about how to listen and certain cues that let you know just how excited about a particular player coaches actually are. The Seahawks changed up in the NFL draft this year and showed they do care about the offensive line by taking a lineman in the first round for the first time since 2011. While the team made Adam happy with the offensive line picks, Brandan wonders if John Schneider was specifically trolling Adam by taking not just one running back, not to backs, but three running backs. The guys get into a discussion about how the offensive line in shaping up with three new draft picks and where it sounds like those players are going to be competing. One particular guy of intrigue from the draft is the tight end from Ohio State nicknamed Baby Gronk and there's specific audio and responses to some questions that show exactly why he fits that description well. The 2016 NFL Draft is only days away and the division rival Los Angeles Rams have the top pick. They're almost sure to be spending that pick on a quarterback, so Adam and Brandan take a look at their best options. They guys talk about which guy is the best in the draft and which quarterback they'd prefer to the Rams to talk. Adam's list of top five quarterbacks looks nothing like the consensus top picks and he explains why. The Seahawks haven't yet re-signed Tarvaris Jackson. Pete Carroll and John Schneider have only drafted one quarterback for Seattle. Is this the year they spend a pick on QB, or does Adam's third favorite quarterback fall out of the draft entirely to where he could come into Seattle as a perfect fit behind Russell Wilson. Brandon Browner is back in Seattle and reunites with the team and the original Legion of Boom. Why does this move have Adam and Brandan so intrigued? After a rough season in New Orleans, does Browner have anything left in the tank? The first show since our first show that we're coming off a loss in the Divisional Round. While we hoped it would be another year of the podcast leading up to the Super Bowl, it was bound to come to an end sometime. An improbable win for the Seahawks this week as the Vikings kicker misses a late field goal that would've given the team the lead. The win was unlikely for a couple reasons. First, because no playoff team since 1978 has won a playoff game after not scoring in the first three quarters and Blair Walsh missed the shortest field goal that would've given his team a win. Adam and Brandan talk about how much of it had to do with playing in temperatures that cold and some of the plays that led to a Seahawks win. The defense played another road game where they didn't allow a touchdown and that made a huge difference in Sunday's game. The guys preview the rematch against the Carolina Panthers. The Seahawks put on their Superman costumes and put their undefeated record in their wolf grey uniforms on the line as they go into Glendale for the season finale. The Seahawks lose for the third time at home this season, this time losing 23-17 to the St. Louis Rams. Leading from start to finish, they snap Russell Wilson and the Seahawks' streak of having a lead at some point during the game. Seattle is back to .500 with a 29-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks are 4-4 and coming out of their bye week into the second half of the season. A listener from Hawaii emails in to say that this team winning close games is the one we've loved watching over the last few years. The performance over the first half of the season shouldn't be that unexpected. One more point than the other team is what it takes to win, and that's exactly what the Seahawks do with their 13-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Takeaways from this game include another great performance by the defense, an underwhelming performance in the red zone for the offense and continued wishes that Ricardo Lockette recovers from the devastating hit he took right before halftime. Something that we've missed to this point in the season was Russell Wilson coming through in the clutch in the fourth quarter and that was something he delivered this week. For three straight years Seattle has played at the Super Bowl's location during the regular season and won. This time it's a 20-3 victory over the 49ers with a dominant defensive performance. Another fourth quarter meltdown, leads Adam and Brandan to continue to search for answers as to what might be going on with this Seahawks team. Has money and fame changed this team, is poor conditioning to blame why they aren't able to pull through in the end, or is it the Pareto principle. Adam explains the principle and how it applies to the Seahawks situation. Though we've gotten away from pointing fingers at the offensive line, the guys seem to settle on the inability to protect Russell Wilson is a primary reason for their rough start. The guys can't get 10 seconds into the show without a catfish bomb dropping. After blowing a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter and losing 27-24 in overtime to the Cincinnati Bengals, it's tough to think of another more appropriate way to react. Brandan and Adam take a look at what went wrong and Adam talks about his feelings. He's not mad, but he's more than disappointed, because it's already looking like this team can write off home field advantage after enjoying it for the past two seasons. Brandan feels like it may be time to take a page out of Major League. Just like Pedro Cerrano who couldn't hit the curveball, this defense all of a sudden can't hold a lead in the fourth quarter. The Seattle Seahawks win a close one over the Detroit Lions, 13-10, thanks to a big play by Kam Chancellor and a non-call that goes the Seahawks way. It was the Russell Wilson show doing things only Russell Wilson can do that put the Seahawks in position to win the game, but turnovers and the play along the o-line also allowed this game to be so close. Brandan and Adam talk about the final play on defense and how if K.J. Wright makes that play slightly differently, there is no controversy. But consider the controversy if the refs make the call -- then it's a bad rule that impacted the outcome of the game (just like a certain play in the end zone for the Detroit Lions a few years back). The Seahawks get into the win column for the first time this season with a 26-0 victory over the Chicago Bears. There's a lot to be excited about from this game, but as listeners will notice from Adam's tone, there's also some things that continue to frustrate fans. Special teams was a big part of this win with 10 points coming from kick and punt returns and another nine points in field goals. After the recap of the Bears, the guys take a look at the state of the NFC West. How are things playing out three weeks into the season compared to what was expected before the season started? Kam Chancellor is coming back to the Seahawks. But you wouldn't know it by listening to this episode, because we recorded the night before the big news. Instead of that news, we talk about the Green Bay loss and everyone's insistence to make sure nobody is panicking.There was a lot to be frustrated about in the loss to the Packers. Adam narrows it down to penalties in the first half leading to points for the Green Bay offense early.
