After spotting the Arizona Cardinals seven points and allowing the NFC West rival to take the lead, the Seahawks offense turned things around and never looked back on their way to a 31-21 victory. The Seattle Seahawks close out their regular season series against the Arizona Cardinals this week. After dominating the New York Giants last week, the Seahawks remain at the top of the NFC West standings. Although Tyler Lockett had a rough day, he was able to redeem himself in the end. There were moments on camera during the game and even after the game that shows just how close this team is growing together. Ken Walker didn't jump off the stat sheet, but he still jumped off the screen with his one touchdown run. The Seahawks defense completely shut down the Giants run game and were all over Daniel Jones early on when he tried to escape from the pocket. The Seahawks got the 27-13 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday, but heading into the fourth quarter the outcome was nowhere near close to a lock. Part of that were due to some uncharacteristic struggles by Tyler Lockett who failed to get both feet in bounds on a touchdown catch, fumbled the ball near the goal line and hand a touchdown catch glance off his facemask and fall incomplete. The Seattle Seahawks run defense was questionable, and that's being generous, through the first few weeks of the season. It was enough to give pause to the idea that they'd be able to stop Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones. The defensive line had another solid performance finishing the day with five sacks and holding Barkley under 60 yards. Jones also struggled to make plays on the ground. The Seahawks offense sputtered throughout the first three quarters due to some uncharacteristic drops. The Giants defense came in prepared to stop Ken Walker and held him relatively in check. Since the season started with the Seahawks Super Bowl (facing off against Russ and the Denver Broncos), Adam is continuing with the theme of naming a lot of these matchups. Geno Smith is on the third leg of his "revenge tour" as one listener points out that he's 2-0 now going up against Russ and a former team in the Chargers. This week's theme? The loser is not for real. There are questions surrounding both the Giants and the Seahawks if their success can be sustainable throughout the season and are legitimate playoff teams. The Seattle Seahawks went on the road and thumped the Los Angeles chargers 37-23 this week. Geno Smith was on point, efficient and likely has a better day if not for a couple passes that should have been caught. Ken Walker had a breakout game rushing for more than 150 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, we're much closer to seeing a trend of solid defense. What changed in the past couple weeks? Pete Carroll provided some clues in one of his interviews this week. On top of the win, we get to celebrate losses to the Niners and Broncos.

The Seahawks came back to take the lead after being down two scores going into the fourth quarter against the New Orleans Saints. Unfortunately, it was the defenses inability to stop Taysom Hill from doing anything that showed up once again in the fourth quarter and allowed the go ahead score. There were some moments in the game where questionable calls played a part, and we discuss those too, but this was a game that the defense should have the ability to put away. Of course, special teams didn't help out the team in this game either. So, should we as Seahawks fans be upset with how this season is playing out? Or should we be content? Seattle fans shouldn't be content with a loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Don't be fooled by the close score against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, because this Cardinals team is not good. They deserve to be at the bottom of the division and so the Seahawks could and should be the ones to put them there. Seattle may not even be the second worst team in the division this season after seeing what's going on down in Los Angeles. With that said, should playoffs be a consideration for Seattle this season? Former Detroit Lions safety Glover Quin joined the show this week to preview the matchup between the Lions and Seahawks. Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift were questionable toward the middle of the week and are now out, which made it difficult to predict how this matchup could go. Quin talks about some of the questions surrounding the team coming out of the game against the Vikings and heading into the matchup with the Seahawks. The Seattle Seahawks offense bounced back after six straight quarters of failing to score as we saw a unit that can at least put up points against sub-par defenses. Defensively for Seattle, it appears to be a different story. Are they a broken unit? Or can Pete Carroll and Clint Hurtt find a way to get the guys in position to at least stop the run? Seattle will give us a chance to help us answer those questions again this week as they go up against a very similar team to the Falcons. The Detroit Lions defense is among the worst (if not the worst) in the league and they have solid pass catchers and a strong run game when they're healthy. After flying high from a Week 1 victory over the Denver Broncos, the Seahawks returned to earth following their matchup in Santa Clara. Geno Smith was efficient in the passing game, but Seattle was never able to run the ball effectively and got run over early by the 49ers offense. Was this game closer than the score indicated though? Or was the outcome indicative of a more dominant San Francisco team that now has a quarterback capable of taking this team into the playoffs? The Seahawks could face a tougher matchup that initially expected when we looked at the schedule this offseason. In a 27-7 loss where the offense failed to score, one would think there is little to point to in terms of the positives. With the loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks NFC West rival was finally able to get their win percentage up over .300 against Pete Carroll.
