The Seahawks defense followed up their performance against the Panthers by holding the 49ers offense to a score that allowed their offense to have a shot late in the game. But was it largely the performance of the defense or the coaching on the Niners that allowed this game to stay as close? The Seahawks defense can't stop the run and so the Carolina Panthers coaching staff did what any good team should do to Seattle - keep running the plays that work until they get stopped. The Seattle Seahawks survived a nail biter on Sunday with a win over the Los Angeles Rams. Geno Smith, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett dominated the Rams secondary even with an offensive line that struggled against some of the Rams backups. Smith earned his first fourth quarter comeback with the Seahawks and DK earned his spot as perhaps the best receiver in the NFL. Geno Smith earned his first 'stat' of the season with a fourth-quarter comeback over the Los Angeles Rams. Unfortunately, the comeback was partly due to the Seahawks defense allowing 171 rushing yards to a Rams offense that was playing with multiple backups. The 2022 Seahawks rookie class has been impressive throughout the first half of the season, but cornerback Tariq Woolen may be the most impressive so far. In the Seahawks 31-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals, we got to see some fancy footwork in the back of the end zone by DK Metcalf. DK was asked if he knew for sure that he had the touchdown. Geno Smith talked about the three touchdown drives he led in the second half and what those drives say about the team. After spotting the Arizona Cardinals seven points and allowing the NFC West rival to take the lead, the Seahawks offense turned things around and never looked back on their way to a 31-21 victory. After dominating the New York Giants last week, the Seahawks remain at the top of the NFC West standings. Although Tyler Lockett had a rough day, he was able to redeem himself in the end. There were moments on camera during the game and even after the game that shows just how close this team is growing together. Ken Walker didn't jump off the stat sheet, but he still jumped off the screen with his one touchdown run. The Seahawks defense completely shut down the Giants run game and were all over Daniel Jones early on when he tried to escape from the pocket. The Seahawks got the 27-13 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday, but heading into the fourth quarter the outcome was nowhere near close to a lock. The Seattle Seahawks run defense was questionable, and that's being generous, through the first few weeks of the season. It was enough to give pause to the idea that they'd be able to stop Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones. The defensive line had another solid performance finishing the day with five sacks and holding Barkley under 60 yards. Jones also struggled to make plays on the ground. The Seahawks offense sputtered throughout the first three quarters due to some uncharacteristic drops. The Giants defense came in prepared to stop Ken Walker and held him relatively in check. Since the season started with the Seahawks Super Bowl (facing off against Russ and the Denver Broncos), Adam is continuing with the theme of naming a lot of these matchups. Geno Smith is on the third leg of his "revenge tour" as one listener points out that he's 2-0 now going up against Russ and a former team in the Chargers. This week's theme? The Seattle Seahawks went on the road and thumped the Los Angeles chargers 37-23 this week. Geno Smith was on point, efficient and likely has a better day if not for a couple passes that should have been caught. Ken Walker had a breakout game rushing for more than 150 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, we're much closer to seeing a trend of solid defense. What changed in the past couple weeks?
