The moment she neared the fence, she knew something was immediately wrong when she saw blood and wood littering the large open field. 3. Prison Nurse Poisons Husband It was all in the name of love when Iberia, Missouri corrections nurse, Amy Murray, met covicted felon, 40 year old Eugene Clayton,. The two developed a relationship. She had expressed to the inmate she didn’t want to be married to her husband anymore and told him that when her husband is “out of the picture,” they could finally be together and get married. 2. Jasmina DominicFor years now, no one knew where then 23-year old, Jasmina Dominic from Mala Subotica in Northern Croatia had gone. She simply vanished into thin air one day back in 2000.But after 18 years, police were shocked to have finally discovered her body close to home. In fact, it was inside her home because she had been kept in a freezer in the hallway of the Dominic family home in the small village of Pavlovec.1. Mother charged in Family SlayingFor weeks, relatives and family members had been trying to get child services and police to check in on the Decree home in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. But When a representative from the Bucks County Children and Youth services finally visited the family and knocked on the door - no one came to answer. Sitting above Hickory Creek, the bridge first catered to cattle, then horses and eventually automobiles until 2001. After that, it was relegated as nothing more than a hiking bridge and as part of the equestrian trail since the single lane made automobile traffic difficult and inconvenient. Lyle StevikIt was Friday, September 14, 2001 when a man in a gray shirt with a blue plaid top and jeans walked into the Quinault Inn in Amanda Park, Washington. He wrote down the name “Lyle Stevik” and paid for a single night’s stay but told the receptionist that he might stay for “a few more days.” He brought no luggage with him, in fact the only thing he had in hand was a toothbrush and toothpaste.Nothing seemed that unusual with Lyle until a few days later on September 17, when he was found dead inside his hotel room. Police ruled his death a suicide. He was found inside the hotel closet having hanged himself by the neck using his belt and the clothes railing. During the investigation, police found a crumpled note with the word “suicide” written on it along with $160 in $20 bills with the words scribbled on them….“for the room.” 4. Ireland’s Vanishing TriangleIn 1993, 26-year old, Annie McCarrick, a Long Island New York native had been living in Dublin, Ireland for some time. On March 26, she was expecting friends over for dinner the next night. She was seen buying groceries, heading to the bank and post office and By 9:00 PM, a doorman reported seeing her at a popular pub in the area. The next day, when she didn’t show up to collect her paycheck or for the arranged dinner with friends, she was reported missing. Her family flew to Ireland to find her but left six months later with no clues as to where she had gone or what had happened to her. 3. Permian ExtinctionKnown as “The Great Dying”, the Permian Extinction is considered one of the greatest extinction mysteries of all time. Occurring about 250 million years ago, between the Permian period and beginning of the Triassic, it’s one of the most catastrophic extinctions to have occurred on the planet so far. 2. StarliteA material known to be so heat resistant and fire proof that it could withstand 75 Hiroshima bombs. Sounds impossible right? Well, not if you believe Maurice Ward, the creator of a unique plastic material he called Starlite. 1. Morgan NickOn June 9, 1995, 6-year old Morgan Nick went to a Little League Baseball Game with her mom in Alma, Arkansas. At around 10:30 PM, the girl went out with two friends to capture lightning bugs. Even though her mother was hesitant, she eventually agreed to let her go. After they were done, her two friends saw Morgan emptying sand from her shoes, standing close to her mother’s car. As she was putting her shoes back on, her friends saw a “creepy man” talking to Morgan. All we know is that his family owned and ran a pig farm in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia that spanned three generations. Robert and his siblings, David and Linda ran the farm. One of the workers Bill Hiscox noted the farm itself was a “creepy-looking place.” There were only few pigs around and it was constantly patrolled by a large 600-lb. boar that chased and bit intruders. As for Pickton, he was described as “difficult to have a conversation with” and often exhibited bizarre behavior. 2. Finnish UFO SightingsRecently, the Finnish government made strides with the UFO community after the air force published a collection of military UFO sightings over Finnish skies. Covering the years between1933 and1979, it contained hundreds of official UFO military documents released for researchers. Many of the reports are extremely strange and few easily stand out. For instance, from May to December of 1946, almost 2000 “ghost rockets” were seen by Finnish citizens. Skeptics say they were meteors, attributing them to the Perseid meteor shower, except most sightings didn’t occur during the meteor shower peak. The students, with just one teacher and bus driver to supervise, started hiking from Andrews Bald to Clingman’s Dome and then back again along the Forney Ridge Trail.During the hike, the students separated into several smaller groups, depending on their pace. Trenny was seen with several sections of her classmates at different times throughout the day. But The last time anybody saw her was at 3:00 PM, around Clingman’s Dome when she left the path after spotting something. She was never seen again. 4. Disappearance of Gary MathiasOn the night of February 24, 1978, Gary Mathias and his four friends: Jackie Huett, Ted Weiher, Jack Madruga, and William Sterling, all from Yuba, California, headed to California State University in Chico to watch a basketball game. All five men suffered from mild mental or psychiatric issues but none of these prevented them from functioning properly in society. Gary, in particular, was taking medication for schizophrenia after serving in the military having been stationed in Germany. 3. Patricia MeehanPatricia Meehan was a 37-year old who spent most her life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up and studied for a career in daycare. By 1985, she decided to make a change and moved to Bozeman, Montana, pursuing work as a ranch hand because of her love for animals.On April 20, 1989, Patricia was seen alive and well by her landlord. However, he felt something was “off” with her, saying she seemed “hyper.” By evening time, around 8:15 PM, a woman named Peggy Beuller and her father were driving on the Montana Highways 200 in Circle, Montana. It was there that They noticed a car driving on the wrong side of the road. Peggy’s car swerved away to avoid a collision but the car behind them wasn’t so lucky. 2. Cowden FamilyDuring the Labor Day weekend of 1974, the Cowden’s arrived at the Rogue River National Forest Camp Ground in Oregon and started setting camp. On September 2nd, 28 year old Richard Cowden and his 5 year old son David were seen inside a general store at around 9:00 AM. They bought milk and were seen leaving on foot towards their campsite where Belinda Cowden and her 4 month old daughter Melissawere staying. That evening, the family arranged to have dinner at Belinda’s mother since she lived close to the grounds. When the family didn’t arrive, the mother decided to head to the campsite instead. Once there, she couldn’t find anyone but the family’s belongings were still right there1. Jared NegreteOn July 19, 1991, 12-year old, Jared Negrete went on a camping trip with his scout troop that consisted of 14 other boys. Jared was 5 foot 2 inches tall and slightly overweight at 150 pounds. The subject of a violent childhood, he was the oldest child and the only boy born to an alcoholic father who didn’t want him#2 Stella WilliamsonAt the age of 76, Stella Williamson of Gallitzin, Pennsylvania died of natural causes on August 25, 1980 and it was a tough time for the few friends she had. Guy Schrack, lived in her home as a border, moving in from across the street after his own wife died. After burying his friend, Guy went back to their home and tried to put Stellas things in order. On February 20, 2016, shortly before 4 PM, he picked up his first ever Uber fare and It was a female college student who refused to take the ride. After 4PM, he picked up Matt Mellen. 4. Satan Worshipping Gang An upside-down cross marked the area where four teenagers were killed and sacrificed in a ritualistic killing in the city of Yaroslavl, Russia. The victims ranged between 16 and 17 years old and all were refered to as living a “Goth” lifestyle. In a span of two days, the victims disappeared after telling their parents they were attending a music festival. But this was a lie since the festival was still a month away. During the police investigation, they discovered the victims had one thing in common, all four had contacted Nikolai Ogolobyak prior to their disappearance. 3. Carl Drew – The Fall River CultIn the middle of Fall River, Massachusetts, Three young women were brutally tortured and murdered between October 1979 and February 1980.. The first victim was 17-year old, Doreen Levesque and Her body was found on October 13, 1979. She was a runaway who had turned to prostitution. When she was found, her wrists were bound with fishing line and she had been sexually tortured. There were stab wounds on her head and signs that a brutal beating had taken place. Police thought that because of what she did for a living, a client had most likely killed her. But, during the autopsy, the coroner ruled that multiple individuals were involved in her death. They also suggested ritualistic overtones and that she was stoned to death. 2. John Jenkin Forty-eight hours after being released from a mental institution, 24-year old John Jenkin bludgeoned his mother, Alice McMeekin and 20 year old sister, Kathryn in their Millom, England home in 2013. Two days prior John walked up to a van driver in a deranged state, he dropped down a bag, put his hands up in the air and said, “I am armed, but it’s not in my hands.” Then he said he was “going to kill his mam, we both know it’s going to happen, I will find somewhere quiet when it’s done.” He kept repeating the fact that he would kill his mother to the driver and Afterwards they called the police to inform them of the incident. 1. Arne Johnson It started on July 3, 1980 in Brookfield, Connecticut, when 11-year old, David Glatzel woke up in the middle of the night screaming after seeing as he stated, “a man with big black eyes, a thin face with animal features and jagged teeth, pointed ears, horns and hoofs.” This beast creature warned him “to beware.” Soon, David began experiencing more night terrors and started acting strangely. In essence, they were a sleeper group organized in 1944 by Heinrich Himmler. Their main purpose was to remain in the territories that fell under allied forces. If the Werewolves were activated, they were to draw arms and weapons from pre-arranged caches and then proceed to ambush, assassinate, sabotage and kill various British, Soviet and American allied leaders and groups. 3. The Visha KanyaTranslated to mean “poison girl” or “poison damsel,” the Visha Kanya were said to be young women used as assassins against powerful enemies. Theywould primarily kill their victims using poison and It’s said the group was started around 340 to 293 BC where they were created by the first Indian Emperor,. In it, it states that the Emperor was advised to keep a network of secret agents to monitor as well as manipulate enemies. Run by the Italian-American mafia, Murder Inc. was an enforcement group connected to organized crime running mainly in New York and elsewhere around America during the time. Composed of Jewish gangsters and Italian-American individuals coming from the neighborhoods of Brooklyn, Ocean Hill and East New York, the group was initially headed by Louis “Lepke” Buchalter and then later on, it was run by Albert “The Mad Hatter” Anastasia. NASA Sees Something Exit a Black HoleBlack holes typically suck everything in so NASA scientists were shocked and baffled that for once, they actually found a black hole had spewed something out. Although black holes are still a complete mystery to modern science, we gain more and more information about them each year. 2. Vegetative Patient Gets Pregnant in Health Care FacilityStaff at a nursing care facility in Phoenix, Arizona were shocked to find out a woman patient was pregnant and about to give birth. The woman, 29 years old, had been in the facility, Hacienda Healthcare, for more than two decades and in a non-verbal and non-mobile state for 14 years. She has seizure disorder and quadriplegia and had no way of defending herself against the sexual assault. 1. Jayme Closs Found AliveIt was October 15, 2018 when 911 officials responded to a call from a Barron County, Wisconsin home. Built in the 1900s, the property was named after former British Prime Minister, William Gladstone. The story of a ghost at the Villa was first brought about by a man named Andrew Dexter whose family once lived on the property between 1968 and 1978. Sam BorgIn the 1950s, Sam Borg, a Maltese-born man had made a small fortune for himself running a casino called the Maltese club. Located just North of Melbourne, the place was known for its illegal gambling with money flowing freely at the establishment. Borg seemed to have everything going for him. On May 30, 1960, Sam was seen heading back home and in the days following, he started missing engagements. When A concerned friend realized Sam hadn’t been seen for several days he called police to do a welfare check. Once there, police found the front door bolted shut with Two nails used to reinforce it. Since they couldn’t get in through there, they decided to climb in from a window instead. That’s when they found Sam Borg’s body in the upstairs bedroom, He was dead due to several major head wounds. 3. Taconic Parkway CrashIt was supposed to be a perfect, sunny day in Pleasantville, New York. But before the day would end, it would see an utterly devastating tragedy. Thirty-six-year-old, Diane Schuler, had just spent the weekend at the Hunter Lake Campground with her husband, her children, her nieces and their dog. The family had two cars, Diane took the children, her 2-year old and 5-year-old daughter and son, and her three nieces, ages 8, 7 and 5. Woman’s Head Found in the WoodsOn December 12, 2014, a teenager was walking through the woods in Economy, Pennsylvania when he stumbled across something very disturbing. It was a severed human head. He called police and When they arrived, they found that it belonged to an older woman. Her mouth was wide open, her eyes closed and her hair was fluffy and gray. Her skin still looked delicate and smooth and you could still discern two moles on her cheek. It was also discovered just 10 yeards off of a rural road nearby.But cops were baffled as to how it got there and how it was so carefully preserved despite possible days or even weeks of exposure. During examination, they found that the woman’s closed eye sockets didn’t hold eyes but instead rubber pellets. It was a grisly detail but one that lead to a possible answer –the severed woman’s head was professionally embalmed at a funeral home. The removal of the eyes is a common practice during embalmment.1. Roland T. OwenRoom 1046 at the Hotel President in Kansas City will forever remain steeped in mystery ever sincea young man by the name of Roland T. Owen, checked in on the night of January 2, 1935. Once at the trailhead, Sanford said Joel made some sexual advances which she rejected. He then attacked her and tied her up with her rope belt and threatened her with a dagger. She said she convinced him that she did want to have sex with him, and so he utlimately freed her. Once untied, she then asked him to lie down, took the knife away from him and stabbed him “three times” in the abdomen before running away to seek help. The group of witnesses said Sanford ran to them in her underwear saying she was raped and asking for help. However, none of them had heard of anyone yelling for help prior to her arrival. 3. Adolfo ConstanzoIn the spring of 1989, students looking to celebrate spring break headed to Matamoros in Mexico. An easy drive from Brownsville, Texas, it’s become a favorite for college students looking to enjoy all-night parties, alcohol, drugs and more. But Matamoros, despite being “spring-break friendly” had something else disturbing going on at the time. since New Year’s Day of that year, close to 60 people had been reported missing. One student that likely didn’t know or care of the high crime rate was pre-med student, Mark Kilroy. He crossed into the border town with friends to enjoy the break but was separated from them one night while partying. Close to dawn, when the group headed back, they had lost sight of Kilroy. 2. Donald Wayne HartungJuly 31st, 2015, was the night of a blue moon, something that happens once every three years. For the Hartung and Smith families it was supposed to be routine a routing weekend. Gennady MikhasevichRussian, Gennady Mikhasevich, isn’t your typical serial killer because for much of his life, he was relatively normal. Gennady was born in Vitebsk, Polotsk, close to Byelorussia SSR in 1947. On May 14, 1971, Gennady came back from military service to find out his girlfriend had left him, and worse, married somebody else. After the breakup, he contemplated suicide, even taking a piece of noose with him. While on the road to his parents’ house, Gennady came across a young woman. To vent his anger, he killed the young girl by strangling her. Afterwards, he killed another girl by October and two other women in 1972.In 1973, Gennady graduated from technical school and started work. Three years later, he married and had two children. Meanwhile, the murders went on. Gennady found a job in a machine repair service and his outward appearance was that of a family man and serious worker. 3. Dean Corll Known as The Candy Man or the Pied Piper, Corll earned his nickname since he would often give children free candy. His family ran a candy store in Houston, Texas but when the business closed, Corll trained to become an electrician. Soon, he ended up making friends with young male teens instead of guys his age. One of the first he befriended was then 12-year old, David Owen Brooks. Brooks became a constant companion to Corll seeing him as a father figure. By 1969, a sexual relationship developed between the two at the urging of Corll. He would give Brooks gifts and money in exchange. By 1970, Dean Corll killed his first known victim. 2. William BoninIn a span of a year, from August 1979 to June 1980, William Bonin haunted the freeways of Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Worse, while Bonin was vicious on his own, he also had three other accomplices who actively participated in his killings.Born Willian George Bonin on January 8, 1947, the twice paroled sex offender grew up in a dysfunctional family. Both his parents were alcoholics who left him and his two brothers in the care of their grandfather – a convicted child molester. By 1961, the family moved to California. It was in this new home in Angell Street, Downey that Bonin would molest his younger brother as well as various neighborhood kids – luring them with alcohol. After finishing high school, he got engaged and joined the Air Force. 1. Paul John KnowlesGiven up to foster homes and reformatories at a young age by his father, Paul John Knowles grew up in a dysfunctional environment. By the time he was 19 in early 1974, he was incarcerated for petty crime and it was here he began correspondence with a San Francisco divorcee named, Angela Covic. During a prison visit, Knowles proposed to Angela and she agreed. She then hired him a legal counsel and became instrumental in getting Knowles out of prison. Afterwards, Knowles flew to California to live with her. However, a psychic told Angela “a dangerous man” was going to enter her life so she ended the relationship with him and cancelled the wedding. Elon Musk & SPACE XzWith the most recent launch of the Falcon Heavy Rocket, the heaviest and most powerful in the world right now, it’s no surprise Elon Musk is slowly on his way to bringing space, particularly Mars, closer to humanity. For years, he has spoken about his intentions to bring people to Mars and eventually create a space colony on the red planet. But how does he intend to do this? And above all, is it even possible? Musk has already made headway with his recent rocket launches. Space X has grown from a startup company to the most premiere privately-owned space company in the world. And more recently, they’ve proven they can launch rockets capable of carrying a huge payload which is paving the way for humans to eventually travel in them too. The 23-story Falcon Heavy launch was essentially a test flight for other future rockets of the same caliber. Inside it was Musk’s cherry red Tesla Roadster with a mannequin donning a spacesuit. According to Musk, he hopes the rocket and other improved versions will eventually be used to shuttle humans through space. 1. It was Kawaji's children that first noticed two large, black gliding humps in the waters as they played by the lakeshore. Soon Yutaka grabbed a motorboat and tried his best to follow after the creature. The family who witnessed it said that the humps measured close to 16 feet long and were above water approximately 2 feet. Despite chasing it, he never managed to capture the creature as it was too fast for his boat.3. Although prosecutors wanted him jailed, his lawyer managed to get him off the hook due to mental illness, which were said to have been present on both sides of the family. By December 23, 1904, Schmidt claimed to have been ordained into the priesthood by Bishop Georg Kirstein. Two days later, their severed heads and limbs were found buried in a cornfield nearby the river. While police investigated the area, they noticed a man lingering around. Kenny Linscott lived just three blocks away from where the bodies were found. He told police he was curious why the cops were in his niehgborhood and that he often fished in the river. Soon after the grisly discovery, rumors of a satanic sacrifice circled the community. Tipsters told police that Linscott was seen with a huge cut on his arm following the days the couple went missing. Investigators then gathered hospital records proving Linscott did have the unusual cut he sought treatment for, but for some reason they never pursued him as a suspect. #2 Luis GaravitoKilling close to 400 victims, Luis Alfredo Garavito from Genova, Colombia is dubbed as one of the worst serial killers the world has ever known.Otherwise known as “La Bestia” or the beast, Garavito is known to have raped, tortured and murdered children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 16 years old beginning in 1992. Born in 1957 to a dysfunctional and abusive household, he left home at the age of 16 and supported himself by working odd jobs all around. But apparently, something inside him snapped when he was 35 years old. Because of the civil war, the number of homeless people, beggars and orphaned children skyrocketed in the early 90’s. Garavito then targeted this specific group to find his victims. He would often disguise himself as an authority figure or someone trustworthy. he would dress himself as a priest, a homeless man, a farmer, a drug dealer and a street vendor, often giving gifts, candy or offering victims the possibility of a job. Glico Morinaga Case – “Monster with 21 Faces”On March 18, 1984, two armed masked men broke into Katsuhisa Ezaki’s home in Japan. Once inside, they bound his wife and daughter. Ezaki was hiding with his other two children inside the bathroom and that’s when they kidnapped him. Ezaki was the CEO of Glico, a company that made candy and ice cream. The next day, the men called the director of Glico and demanded 1 Billion Yen and 100 kilograms in gold bullion. The company bought some time and luckily for them Ezaki actually maaged to escape from his captors just three days later on March 21. 4. Mary Shotwell LittleKnown as Atlanta’s “missing bride,” on October 14, 1965 after work 25 year old Mary Little went to dinner with a co-worker and happily talked about her married life. By 8:00 PM, she was headed back to her car but she was never heard from ever again. When police investigated her disappearance, they found clues inside her vehicle. Her Mercury Comet was found in Lenox Square and was covered in red dust as if it had been driven down a dirt road. 3. Annette SagersIt was October 4, 1988 in Mount Holly S. Carolina. 11-year old Annette Sagers was on her way to school, standing at the bus stop in front of the Mount Holly Plantation at 7:00 AM. Her dog was standing beside her as they waited for the school bus bound for Westview Middle School. Twenty minutes later, the bus arrived at the stop but no one was there. Later in the afternoon when Annette didn’t arrive home, her stepfather, Stephen called the school and found out Annette never arrived therein the first palce. 2. Zach RamsayIn Great Falls, Montana It was another ordinary day for 10-year old, Zach Ramsay. On feb. 6th 1996 At 7:30 AM he left his apartment and With only six blocks between him and the school he took a route through an alley. However, Zach would never make it to school that day. After an initial search, Zach’s mother called police and they went door to door, interviewing friends and neighbors in order to retrace Zach’s steps. More officers were mobilized and a massive search effort was conducted. 1. The Zodiac KillerThe Zodiac Killer is an infamous serial murdered that hunted in Northern Carolina during the 60s and early 70s. He is linked to 5 murders spanning from 1968 to 69 but may have injured and killed many more. The first known victims linked to the Zodiac were Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday. On their first date, they drove out to Lake Herman Road, a well-known lover’s lane at around 10:15 PM on December 20,1968. A little after 11pm their bodies were found by a nearby resident. Among the dead were two young children, a 2 and 4 year old. Even more shocking, there were three other children that were brutally attacked and injured, but still alive. One of them even had a knife sticking out of his head. Among the adults dead were 30 year old Cecil Dotson, his girlfriend, Marissa Williams who was 27 and two friends who were visiting, Shindri Roberson, 22, and Hollis Seals, 33. All of the children in the home were Cecil’s and Marissa’s. Cecil and Cemario who were the 2 and 4 year olds both died from beatings and stab wounds. The other three children who survived were 9 year old Cecil Dotson, Jr., Cedric Dotson who was 5; and Ceniyah Doston, who was just 4 months old. #2 Stan RomanekBorn Stanley Tiger Romanek, he became a prominent figure among UFO enthusiasts after claiming he had been abducted by aliens in 2000. He went public with his claims and from there gathered a huge following. Supporters say there’s a wealth of evidence in Romanek’s stories and so far no one has disproved them. According to Romanek, he’s a very important individual that aliens have chosen specifically to help bring their message to the people of Earth. He says he is often in contact with one of the many alien species visiting our planet and has even fathered seven hybrid alien/human children. Unlike other nuclear plants, Chernobyl was proclaimed as a “safer” type compared to others. Hence, the city of Pripyat was open to the general public and people could come and visit as they pleased. 3. Centralia, PennsylvaniaIn May of 1962, the lives of the residents of Centralia would forever change. It was the day before Memorial Day and the people were preparing for festivities However, they needed to settle one matter, how to clean up the town landfill. Although several options were offered, they settled on simply burning the trash in the 300 by 75-foot dumping ground After all, it was a common thing to do and it had been done many times before. According to the story, five volunteer firemen proceeded to light the trash on fire and let it burn for some time before extinguishing it. 2. Humberstone & La NoriaConsidered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Humberstone and La Noria were former saltpeter refineries that sat in the middle of the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile. Humberstone is named after British chemical engineer, James Humberstone. He emigrated to the country in 1875 and became a saltpeter mogul, digging his way through the nitrate-rich crust of the desert. Described as “white gold,” almost all of the world’s saltpetre had come from the Atacama Desert. It was in such a huge demand as fertilizer in fast industrializing countries that during the 1880s to the 1930s, it was the main product exported from Chile. 1. The Frankford SlasherFrom1985 to 1990, Frankford Philadelphia was haunted by a serial killer. Dubbed as the Frankford Slasher, the murderer would go on to kill and sexually assault eight women during his 5 year crime spree. Helen Patent was a 55-year old who lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and she was the first victim who’s body was discovered on Aug. 19th 1985. She had been dead for a week and was naked from the waist down with her shirt pulled up above her chest. 3. Ricky McCormickWhen police found Ricky McCormick’s body, it was so badly decomposed that his fingers had fallen off. Despite being missing for only three days, his body was in such a bad condition that it was tough for police to even find out who the man was. He was found wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, His lifeless body had been left at a notorious dumping ground in the rural cornfields of St. Charles County, just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.After conducting an autopsy, the coroner ruled his death “undetermined” with sus-picion of foul play. 2. The Dupont De Ligonnes FamilyIn the Spring of 2011 after several days had passed, neighbors of the Dupont de Li-gonnes family began to notice that the house seemed unusually quiet.They were a family of 6 and Xavier was the head of the family. He was born in France 1961and had a privileged upbringing in a strict Catholic household. He was described as “courteous and discreet” by neighbors and those who knew him and while It’s unclear what type of employment Xavier was in. It’s thought he worked as an advertising salesman and also ran some companies with limited success. 1. Keith WarrenIt was already dusk - six hours after authorities found Keith Warren’s body hanging from a tree in the back of a townhouse - when his mother and family were informed of his death. The police had deemed it a suicide by hanging. No autopsy was done and his body was quickly brought to a funeral home for embalming. For Keith’s relatives, there was nothing but shock and grief. The 19-year old was a promising student and by all accounts had a bright future ahead of him. He had just been accepted to North Carolina Central University and was to start during the fall but instead, his body was found in July of 1986. Jayme ClossWhen police responded to a 911 call from Barron County, Wisconsin, they didn’t expect to arrive to a gruesome murder scene. When Authortieis arrived to the Closs home on October 15, 2018 and found James Closs 56, and Denise Closs, 46, dead inside their home. Described by his neighbors as a quiet man, Hastings initially grew up in Leawood, Kansas. Since he was young, he had been treated for chronic depression but his family said he grew up as a caring adult – even offering his time to clean birds affected by an oil spill off the Californian Coast. He later became a computer programmer and began working at Stanford University in 1975. Several years later, he married a Stanford librarian. By the 80s, the couple quit their jobs and decided to move to Anchorage, Alaska. Both had dreamed of a quiet life in the wilderness but Hastings grew increasingly troubled by the construction and operation of the Trans-Alaska pipeline. Borley Rectory - EnglandDubbed as the “most haunted house in England,” the Borley Rectory sits on the outskirts of England, in the desolate little town of Borley, close to Suffolk. Built by Reverend Henry Bull in 1862, this structure was built in place of an older rectory that had mysteriously burned down years prior. Legend has it that a 13th century Benedictine monastery once stood on the gorunds. One of the monk had fallen in love with a nun who served in a nearby parish and when the two tried to elope together, their love affair was discovered. 4. The Haunted Vicarage - Sweden First built in 1876, this old vicarage sits quietly in the small village of Borvattnet in Northern Sweden. For over 90 years, the vicarage lay peacefully but in 1927 that all began to change. Then head chaplain, Nils Hedlund had moved in during that time and reported experiencing various things he could not explain. In one instance while doing laundry, he went to the attic to gather more of his clothes and when he looked outside, he could see an unseen force pulling clothes from off the line. 3. Chaonei No. 81 - ChinaAlso called the Chaonei Church, this old French Baroque building with its distinct red brick walls has become celebrated as “Beijing’s most haunted building.” Historically, it’s unknown who built the actual structure but over the years it’s has served as various government offices during the early years of the People’s Republic of China. By the 60s, the Red Guards stayed in the building but for some reason they made a hasty departure – some say because of the structure’s haunted status. Today, the building is in the care of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Beijing, hoever it still remains abandoned. 2. Rose Hall - JamaicaStanding beautifully with its stunning Georgian architecture, you wouldn’t think the Rose Hall Mansion was haunted. For days, Lois and Larry Williams couldn’t reach their 23-year old son, Danny. On Sunday, June 30, 1991, the two decided to visit their son in Galesburg, Illinois to find out if he was okay.Larry used his own key and headed through the back door. When he entered, he found his son, Danny, slumped down on his couch in the living room, dead from a single gunshot wound with the gun still in his hand. He was the youngest son in the family and for the past two years he had held a management position as a distributor for their family’s million-dollar textile and apparel manufacturing company. Danny recently started living alone and had bought his own house. His parents called police after the discovery. During investigation, cops said that there was no indication of foul play. Brandon Swanson During the last day of classes, 19-year old Brandon Swanson – a freshman at Minnesota West Community College - decided to celebrate with a friend before heading back home to Marshal Minnesotta. On May 14, 2008, just a little after midnight, Brandon called his parents to tell them he accidentally drove his vehicle in a ditch, just 10 minutes from the house and that he needed to be picked up. 1. Dorothy Scott“Dull as a phone book,” is how one friend described the life of 32-year old, Dorothy Scott. She was shy and religious and She didn’t date either, opting to take care of her son and keeping to herself. Frane SelakThe now 85-year old Croatian music teacher has had both bad luck and good luck souround him most of his life, depending on how you look at it. His incredible survival stories began in 1962 while he was travelling on a train from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. The train slid from the rails and into an ice cold river. He had broke his arm and suffered mild hypothermia but while he survived, 17 others didn’t. The following year, he took his first and only airplane ride when the door of the plane burst open midair. He was sucked out and found by emergency workers on the ground lying unconscious on a haystack. He was admitted to the hospital with only minor injuries, the plane ultimately crashed because of the broken door, killing 19 people onboard.3. John ColterThough part of the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition, John Colter is the first person of European descent to ever explore what is now known as Yellowstone National Park. Colter joined the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1803 and was considered one of the best scouts and trappers in the group. As they were on their way back home to St. Louis, Missouri in 1806, they encountered trappers heading to Yellowstone River. Colter didn’t want to return back to “civilization” yet and asked for a discharge from the expedition to join the trappers. The trip however didn’t last long and soon disbanded and Colter would continue to explore various places on his own.2. But on October 7, 1987, a radio reporter named Danny Gordon checked in with the sheriff and was told of an incredible story. The sheriff claimed that three Whytheville officers had seen a UFO. Taking the story with a grain of salt, Danny reported it on his broadcast as a sort of entertaining piece. But then calls began flooding in from his audience who calimed to have seen the strange object too. Danny then set up October 17th as a special night for listeners to call in with their UFO sighting stories and the station was overwhelmed. One lady described the UFO as long and huge with blinking lights as it quietly moved through the sky. Meanwhile, a male caller said he saw it as egg-shaped and another person said it was flashing red, green and white lights as it moved. Danny initially believed there was a rational explanation for what it must have been. He thought it was probably an experimental military craft courtesy of Virginia’s Langley Air Force Base which was nearby. #2 Donnybrook Serial KillerThe town of Donny Brook in South Africa has had its share of ups and downs. But from in1995, the residents there grappled with a different kind of menace – among them lived a psychopathic serial killer who randomly terrorized the community.Christopher Zikode was only 21 years old when he began his life of crime. The first time he was arrested was in July of 1995 when he attacked a young woman. He was charged with the attempted murder of a lady named, Beauty Zulu, but was unfortunately set free on bail. Instead of reforming after his prison encounter, Christopher only grew more vicious. During his time out of prison, he committed five additional offences. This included two attempted murders and three housebreaking charges with intent to rape and murder. Despite being young, or perhaps because of it Christopher was a brazen criminal who did not care much for tactics. His main MO was to break down the front door of his victim’s home – often choosing single women who lived alone – but he also didn’t mind if there were males there either. Like most hum phenomenons occurring all over the world, the Taos hum has several distinct characteristics. For one, only a small number of residents can hear it. It's also persistent and has been reported by those who hear it that it occurs at least once every week. Dubbed as the "Stonehenge Hidden Landscape Project," researchers used non-invasive techniques with the help of various advanced tools like magnetometers and ground penetrating radar on bikes to create a comprehensive underground map of the area underneath the Structure2. The Toxic WomanOn February 19, 1994, Gloria Ramirez was admitted to the Riverside General emergency room after suffering from an advanced stage of cervical cancer. When paramedics admitted her, she was disoriented and confused. She had Bradycardia or an unusual rested heart rate of 60 beats per minute, coupled with an abnormal breathing pattern. While out in the wilderness they stopped by a popular rest stop along the Appalachian Trail called Spence Field. It lays along the tenessee and North carolin boarder and Dennis, his older brother and two other boys thought it would be fun to pull a prank on the adults. They decided they would split up and go into the woods and then simultaneously jump out to scare them It was supposed to be a fun prank and Three of the boys went in one direction while the youngest, Dennis, went the other way. The only reason he was separated from the three was because he had been wearing a bright red shirt, which made him easily visible and they didn’t want to get caught. #2 Charles Walton It was February 14, 1945 when 75-year old Charles Walton left home heading to work at a farm known as the Firs. He lived in Warwickshire , England with his niece, Edith, whom he adopted when she was a young girl. Charles was described as a quiet man and a loner. He didn’t like socializing but he wasn’t hated and didn’t have any known enemies. On that morning, he left his house carrying a slash hook and pitchfork, along with a walking stick which helped him with his arthritis. Charles was employed by Alfred Potter, the farm owner who was known for having a volatile temper. Later that evening Edith came home to find the house empty and She had expected Charles to be home by 4 PM. Alarmed, she realized it was unlikely that he was out hanging out with friends because of his solitary nature.
