Radio Signal from Outer Space From September 2018 to October 2019, a repeating, unusual radio signal has been recorded by the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment radio telescope. The high tech telescope caught a series of radio signals that occurred every 16.35 days. Fast radio bursts, known as FRB’s, have been recorded before. But, they typically only release once and if they would repeat, it would repeat in an erratic cluster. This was the first time it’s been caught following a unique and uniform pattern.2. But when Cheryl got back that day, she found the grocery items on the bed and both Kristina and Christopher were nowhere in sight. She didn’t think much of it, believing the two simply headed out again. But later that day, Cheryl’s ex-husband called her and said he was expecting the two to drop by his home that afternoon but they never showed up. When they got there, they found Jodi’s car still parked at her apartment complex.4. Matt Lauzon At 14 years old, Matt Lauzon was working part-time for a cleaning crew in Biddeford, Maine. In 2000, Matt was cleaning a bank parking lot when a stranger, Michael McKeown, offered to get him food from a Burger King. Matt declined but McKeown got him food anyway. After he was done cleaning, the two headed towards McKeown’s house. He entered McKeown’s home but once inside, McKeown initiated oral sex on him. 3. Jon BurgeA veteran of the United States Army, Captain John Burge served tours in Vietnam and South Korea. After his service, he started his career as a police officer in the Chicago Police Department. It was here his reign of terror started. Starting in 1972, when he was only 24 years old, up until 1991, Burge directly participated or approved the torture of over 118 to 120 individuals held in police custody. 2. Sandra BlandIn 2015, Sandra Bland was ready to start a new temporary job with Prairie View in Texas. Bland was known as a Civil Rights Activist, often posting about police mistreatment of black people. On July 10, 2015, Texas officer Brian Encinia followed Bland around University Drive in Prairie View, Texas. The officer has had a history of pretextual traffic stops, meaning, he would use minor violations to stop a vehicle and search it, hoping to find something criminal. 1. Jason Van DykeOn October 20, 2014, Chicago teen, Laquan McDonald was walking in the middle of South Pulaski Road carrying a knife. He was breaking into vehicles and truck in the area. About eight officers responded including Officer Jason Van Dyke. As officers confronted McDonald, he used the knife to slice a patrol vehicle’s tires and damage its windshield. Sister Leticia LopezBoth Sister Leticia Lopez and Sister Luz Granada had rooms next to each other at the nunnery in Bogota, Colombia’s Candelaria District. Sister Granada was known for her work with sex workers along with their children. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s.Hi-Fi Murders On April 22, 1974, the Hi-Fi Shop in Ogden, Utah was getting ready to close shop for the day. Employees, Stanley Walker (20) and Michelle Ansley (18) were inside the store at the time. Without warning, several men arrived at the shop aboard two vans. Three of the men entered sporting handguns while one person stayed inside the getaway vehicle. The two employees were tied up then taken down the basement as the gang started robbing the store. As the robbery progressed, a 16-year old boy, Byron Cortney Naisbitt, walked inside the shop to say thank you to Stanley Walker (an employee) for letting him park in the store parking lot while running an errand next door. He too was bound and taken hostage. As it became late, Stanley Walker’s father, Orren Walker (43) went to the store to check on his son. He was also taken hostage. Then, Naisbitt’s mother, Carol Naisbitt, arrived at the shop to look for his son and she ended up becoming a hostage too. By this time, the men now held five people hostage in the basement. The Claremont Serial KillerTwenty-eight years ago, a woman’s silk kimono was stolen off a washing line in Claremont, a high-end suburb in Perth, Australia. This same kimono led police to the arrest of one of the most terrifying serial killers in the area, two decades later.It was in 1996 when 18-year old Sarah Spiers called a taxi from a phone booth at 2:00 A.M. after leaving Club Bayview. Witnesses spotted her standing on the side of Stirling Road as she waited for the cab. One witness mentioned seeing a car stop in front of her. One of the most unusual and oldest conspiracies is about a particular room at Hotel Zaza, in Houston, Texas. A Redditor named “joelikesmusic” began the thread several years ago by posting a mysterious hotel room with unusual taste in décor. According to the user, room 322 was accidentally booked for his colleague who was then told it wasn’t meant to be booked for him at all. In fact, it shouldn’t have been listed in the first place. It’s not tough to see why because the room looks like it’s been decorated to look like a snuff-film location. Dannion BrinkleyIt was September 17, 1975 when 25-year old, Dannion Brinkley was talking to his best friend, Tom, back in his home at Aiken, South Carolina. A thunderstorm was brewing outside as Dannion was talking on the phone. From out of nowhere, lightning struck the phone line, sending 180,000 volts down the line, into Dannion Brinkley’s head and through his body. The lightning strike was so strong it threw the 25-year old across the room while leaving his shoes permanently welded to the floor. His next conscious thought was seeing his wife and his best friend, Tom, attempt to revive him. Clinically, Dannion was dead and he was experiencing a vivid near-death experience. He recalls that as a spirit, he was starting to travel down a tunnel and there were various forms coming from this misty blue light. He then felt as if everything he had done or seen before in his life surge inside of him. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s.Potomac River ArrestChristine Mirzayan was a 29-year old student intern at the National Academy of Sciences at Georgetown, Washington D.C. On August 1, 1998, she attended a cookout and was walking home from the event when she was viciously attacked. Christine was pulled into a wooded area, viciously raped, then beaten to death using a 73-pound rock. Although a man had heard Christine scream and called back to ask if she was okay, he never heard back so he continued on. The following day, Christine’s body was found. Another person later came forward offering a description of the man they saw running from the woods after hearing the scream. This description was enough to create a composite sketch of the suspect. During the investigation, it was clear Christine wasn’t the first victim. Before her, 9 other women in the Maryland and D.C. area had also been viciously attacked and raped. This included an 18-year old babysitter as well as a mother whose infant child was with her during the assault. Many of the victims were attacked inside their homes and seven of the nine were all linked using DNA. Only Christine Mirzayan was murdered.Jerold HaasJerold Haas was described as being on the “brink of riches” as his company, Tessr, gained buzz for using blockchain technology to help streamline data sharing for higher education. But instead of riches, Jerold Haas’ skeletal remains were found on November 3, 2018, inside a forest just north of Clarksville, Ohio. The virtuoso coder was first reported missing on September 17, seven weeks before his body turned up. Haas lived in Columbus, Ohio but was last seen at a gas station, just one county over from where his remains were discovered.Police identified the body using the wallet found in his pants. They also later compared his dental records. There were no signs of foul play - no weapons or anything that might lead investigators to believe he was murdered. However, they did note Haas’ backpack was nowhere in sight. David MaustBorn in Connelsville, Pennsylvania, David Edward Maust had a rough childhood. His father left his mother when he was 7 years old. Both his parents also had their own issues. But when his grandfather died in May 1988, it plunged him further into depression. According to him, after his grandfather died, he partially ate his ashes in an effort to “retain something from him.” Ann Marie Burr - Ted Bundy’s First VictimThe name Ted Bundy is a familiar one. Many know of his exploits, his crimes, and his “charming” personality. Bundy has been depicted in television shows, talked about in countless articles and documentaries, and his life has been subjected to the film treatment. But do we really know Ted Bundy and his crimes completely? It’s widely accepted among law enforcement officials and crime geeks that Bundy killed his first victim in January 1974, at 27 years old. The first known victim tied to Bundy is 21-year old, Lynda Ann Healy.Healy disappeared in the middle of the night inside her dorm room apartment, space she shared with three other women. For years, many have reported seeing this ghost walking on a section of road close to the viaducts in the industrial town of Lincolnshire. Missing Oregon GirlTwenty-year-old Allyson Watterson from Portland, Oregon was last seen with her boyfriend, Ben Garland on December 22. Garland headed out with his father in search of Watterson shortly after, but when they couldn’t find her, they contacted her family who then reported her missing.1. He said that the United States Government was activiely reverse-engineering an alien spacecraft in a mysterious facility called s_4 close to Groom Lake in Nevada. A Man Named “Bob”Born on January 26, 1959, Robert Scott Lazar grew up in Coral Gables, Florida. From Florida, the family moved to New York where Lazar got his first interest in science and engineering when he became neighbors with rocket designer named Eugene Gluhareff. From a young age, Lazar’s penchant for pyrotechnics and loud things that go boom were evident. His mother recalled being startled once after hearing a loud bang outside and discovered Bob had installed a rocket engine on his bike. An often-reprinted photo of young Bob in 1977 while he lived in Woodland Hills, California, shows him on that bike with a rocket engine by Gluhareff strapped on it. You can even find photos and videos of Lazar when he was younger testing his jet bike and later, showing off his jet car. In 1980, he married Carol Strong in California and the couple later moved to Los Alamos in Vegas. While there, Lazar set up his photo processing business. Around the same time, he worked on a limited contract job for Kirk-Mayer, one of the few smaller contractors who supplied personnel to the Los Alamos National Lab. The company only worked on supplying small-time personnel like fabricators, electronic technicians, and machinists. Since Lazar had some technical knowledge from studying at Pierce College, he was hired as an electronics tech by Kirk-Mayer. Several people who worked alongside him at the time described Bob as a “clever, fix-it guy.” He was regularly seen at work handling problems with computers and doing technical repairs to a point he was listed in the Los Alamos National Lab phonebook. Its teeth were sharp and recurved. It’s believed to have wrinkled and infolded enamel too. One unusual characteristic of the creature was the osteoderms or small bones embedded on its skin around the neck and snout. 3. BunyipThere’s never a shortage of water monsters in Australia but one ferocious creature lives a dual life of quiet herbivore and vicious predator - the Bunyip. While many believe the Bunyip to be a mythical creature, there are those that say the creature actually once roamed Australia. 2. Euroa BeastAurora is a small town in Victoria just at the foot of the Strathbogie Ranges. It features a miniature railway, tourist drives, and a gorgeous waterfall. It was June 24, 1947, when businessman and pilot, Kenneth Arnold was flying his small plane from Chehalis, Washington to Yakima, Washington. During his flight, he made a brief detour after finding out there was a reward for the discovery of a downed transport plane close to Mount Rainier. Once there, he tried searching for the plane for a bit, but with no luck, he decided to give up. Tinley Park UFOIt was August 21, 2004, the residents of Tinley Park, Illinois thought it was going to be just another regular evening. Considered as one of the most well-documented UFO reports in history, the Tinley Park Lights stem from sightings by hundreds of people on that quiet night of August. Ten minutes later, the gunfire stopped. Over 800 people were injured, trampled or hit by gunfire while 52 people lost their lives. “Completely Dumbfounded”Eric Paddock from Orlando, Florida was “completely dumbfounded” when he found out his brother, Stephen Paddock had gone on a shooting spree. It felt like “Mars just fell into the Earth,” he said. For him, he knew his brother as just a guy who stayed at hotels at the strip, gambled his money and attended various shows. Born in Clinton, Iowa as Stephen Craig Paddock, Stephen was the oldest of four sons by Benjamin Paddock - a bank robber who was once arrested for his crimes in 1960. Dubbed as the “Child Psychopath,” Beth was once featured in an eye-opening documentary titled, “Child of Rage.” Her large, innocent blue eyes concealed all the anger and trauma she suffered. Texas Killing FieldsFound a mile off of Interstate 45, sitting on the borders of Galveston and Houston, is a place known ominously as the Texas Killing Fields. This uninhabited patch of land stretches on for 25 miles and is decorated with marshes, thick tangles of brush and old abandoned oil fields. 3. I-70 KillerInterstate 70 is a large stretch of highway that runs from Baltimore, Maryland towards Cove Fort, Utah. For many, it’s used for traveling between the states but for some, it’s their playground used to hunt down victims. Starting in 1992, the highway became a gruesome spot for an unusual maniac dubbed as the I-70 Killer. During this time, the killer committed several murders and robberies at various specialty shops along the highway. 2. Shades of Death RoadNew Jersey has it’s share of strange stories. From the Pine Barrens to the Jersey Devil, it definitely has its mysteries. Hence, it’s no surprise you would come across one of the most haunted and terrifying roads here, dubbed appropriately as “Shades of Death Road.” Located right in the middle of Warren County, this unassuming two-lane road runs for seven miles flanked by trees from the Jenny Jump State Forest. 1. Flinders HighwayKnown to locals as the “Highway of Death,” Flinders Highway is a 482-mile road that crosses Queensland, Australia from East to West. The stretch is dotted by small outback towns and a deserted landscape. Over the years, Flinders Highway has gained notoriety for being one of the deadliest highways in the world.
