Get ready for Scary Mysteries your Twisted Two's.#1 Logan Ohio On October 4, 1982, two Logan Ohio teens were reported missing: They were 18-year old Annette Johnston, and her 19-year old fiancé, Todd Schultz. A search was launched and on October 14, ten days after they first went missing, both their torsos were found discarded in the Hocking River- just west of Logan. Two days later, their severed heads and limbs were found buried in a cornfield nearby the river. While police investigated the area, they noticed a man lingering around. Kenny Linscott lived just three blocks away from where the bodies were found. He told police he was curious why the cops were in his niehgborhood and that he often fished in the river. Soon after the grisly discovery, rumors of a satanic sacrifice circled the community. Tipsters told police that Linscott was seen with a huge cut on his arm following the days the couple went missing. Investigators then gathered hospital records proving Linscott did have the unusual cut he sought treatment for, but for some reason they never pursued him as a suspect. #2 Luis GaravitoKilling close to 400 victims, Luis Alfredo Garavito from Genova, Colombia is dubbed as one of the worst serial killers the world has ever known.Otherwise known as “La Bestia” or the beast, Garavito is known to have raped, tortured and murdered children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 16 years old beginning in 1992. Born in 1957 to a dysfunctional and abusive household, he left home at the age of 16 and supported himself by working odd jobs all around. But apparently, something inside him snapped when he was 35 years old. Because of the civil war, the number of homeless people, beggars and orphaned children skyrocketed in the early 90’s. Garavito then targeted this specific group to find his victims. He would often disguise himself as an authority figure or someone trustworthy. he would dress himself as a priest, a homeless man, a farmer, a drug dealer and a street vendor, often giving gifts, candy or offering victims the possibility of a job. Glico Morinaga Case – “Monster with 21 Faces”On March 18, 1984, two armed masked men broke into Katsuhisa Ezaki’s home in Japan. Once inside, they bound his wife and daughter. Ezaki was hiding with his other two children inside the bathroom and that’s when they kidnapped him. Ezaki was the CEO of Glico, a company that made candy and ice cream. The next day, the men called the director of Glico and demanded 1 Billion Yen and 100 kilograms in gold bullion. The company bought some time and luckily for them Ezaki actually maaged to escape from his captors just three days later on March 21. 4. Mary Shotwell LittleKnown as Atlanta’s “missing bride,” on October 14, 1965 after work 25 year old Mary Little went to dinner with a co-worker and happily talked about her married life. By 8:00 PM, she was headed back to her car but she was never heard from ever again. When police investigated her disappearance, they found clues inside her vehicle. Her Mercury Comet was found in Lenox Square and was covered in red dust as if it had been driven down a dirt road. 3. Annette SagersIt was October 4, 1988 in Mount Holly S. Carolina. 11-year old Annette Sagers was on her way to school, standing at the bus stop in front of the Mount Holly Plantation at 7:00 AM. Her dog was standing beside her as they waited for the school bus bound for Westview Middle School. Twenty minutes later, the bus arrived at the stop but no one was there. Later in the afternoon when Annette didn’t arrive home, her stepfather, Stephen called the school and found out Annette never arrived therein the first palce. 2. Zach RamsayIn Great Falls, Montana It was another ordinary day for 10-year old, Zach Ramsay. On feb. 6th 1996 At 7:30 AM he left his apartment and With only six blocks between him and the school he took a route through an alley. However, Zach would never make it to school that day. After an initial search, Zach’s mother called police and they went door to door, interviewing friends and neighbors in order to retrace Zach’s steps. More officers were mobilized and a massive search effort was conducted. 1. The Zodiac KillerThe Zodiac Killer is an infamous serial murdered that hunted in Northern Carolina during the 60s and early 70s. He is linked to 5 murders spanning from 1968 to 69 but may have injured and killed many more. The first known victims linked to the Zodiac were Betty Lou Jensen and David Faraday. On their first date, they drove out to Lake Herman Road, a well-known lover’s lane at around 10:15 PM on December 20,1968. A little after 11pm their bodies were found by a nearby resident. Get ready for Scary Mysteries your Twisted Two's. #1 722 Lester Street On March 3, 2008, police received a phone call to do a welfare check on a family living at 722 Lester Street in Memphis, Tennessee. When they entered the home, what they found was truly horrifying. 6 people had been brutally killed and were scattered throughout the living room. Among the dead were two young children, a 2 and 4 year old. Even more shocking, there were three other children that were brutally attacked and injured, but still alive. One of them even had a knife sticking out of his head. Among the adults dead were 30 year old Cecil Dotson, his girlfriend, Marissa Williams who was 27 and two friends who were visiting, Shindri Roberson, 22, and Hollis Seals, 33. All of the children in the home were Cecil’s and Marissa’s. Cecil and Cemario who were the 2 and 4 year olds both died from beatings and stab wounds. The other three children who survived were 9 year old Cecil Dotson, Jr., Cedric Dotson who was 5; and Ceniyah Doston, who was just 4 months old. #2 Stan RomanekBorn Stanley Tiger Romanek, he became a prominent figure among UFO enthusiasts after claiming he had been abducted by aliens in 2000. He went public with his claims and from there gathered a huge following. Supporters say there’s a wealth of evidence in Romanek’s stories and so far no one has disproved them. According to Romanek, he’s a very important individual that aliens have chosen specifically to help bring their message to the people of Earth. He says he is often in contact with one of the many alien species visiting our planet and has even fathered seven hybrid alien/human children. Chaiten, ChileConsidered a modern version of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, the small town of Chaiten in the Los Lagos Region of Chile is among the latest victims of an abrupt and deadly volcanic eruption.A once thriving capital town, Chaiten’s destiny would change forever as the once quiet volcano nearby rumbled to life on May 2, 2008. The eruption grew increasingly violent and by May 5 it had spewed a deadly mixture of ash and sulfur 19 miles up into the Earth’s atmosphere – reaching across Patagonia and affecting infrastructure all the way in Argentina. 4. Pripyat, UkraineSitting 3 kilometers away from Chernobyl, the town of Pripyat in the Ukraine was once home to more than 49,000 people. Pripyat was founded on February 4, 1970 and deemed “a nuclear city” – a type of town created to serve the nearby Chernobyl reactor. Unlike other nuclear plants, Chernobyl was proclaimed as a “safer” type compared to others. Hence, the city of Pripyat was open to the general public and people could come and visit as they pleased. 3. Centralia, PennsylvaniaIn May of 1962, the lives of the residents of Centralia would forever change. It was the day before Memorial Day and the people were preparing for festivities However, they needed to settle one matter, how to clean up the town landfill. Although several options were offered, they settled on simply burning the trash in the 300 by 75-foot dumping ground After all, it was a common thing to do and it had been done many times before. According to the story, five volunteer firemen proceeded to light the trash on fire and let it burn for some time before extinguishing it. 2. Humberstone & La NoriaConsidered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Humberstone and La Noria were former saltpeter refineries that sat in the middle of the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile. Humberstone is named after British chemical engineer, James Humberstone. He emigrated to the country in 1875 and became a saltpeter mogul, digging his way through the nitrate-rich crust of the desert. Described as “white gold,” almost all of the world’s saltpetre had come from the Atacama Desert. It was in such a huge demand as fertilizer in fast industrializing countries that during the 1880s to the 1930s, it was the main product exported from Chile. 1. Hashima Island, Japan (Gukanjima)Another mining facility on this list is the famous “Gukanjima,” known officially as Hashima – although few people call it that. In the Western World, it’s often known as “Battleship Island” because of its unusual shape. This abandoned island lies 20-minutes off the coast of Nagasaki- a city that once was considered the most densely populated on Earth. Atlas VampireKnown as one of Sweden’s most well known murder mysteries, the Atlas Vampire has baffled people for many years. Atlas is a small neighborhood in Sweden. Back in the 1930’s it was dotted with vari-ous apartment complexes that had small rooms. In one of the apartments lived a 32-year old sex worker named Lilly Lindström. She was known as the “call girl” by her neighbors, not because of her profession but simply because she was the only one who had a phone line. 4. The Frankford SlasherFrom1985 to 1990, Frankford Philadelphia was haunted by a serial killer. Dubbed as the Frankford Slasher, the murderer would go on to kill and sexually assault eight women during his 5 year crime spree. Helen Patent was a 55-year old who lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and she was the first victim who’s body was discovered on Aug. 19th 1985. She had been dead for a week and was naked from the waist down with her shirt pulled up above her chest. 3. Ricky McCormickWhen police found Ricky McCormick’s body, it was so badly decomposed that his fingers had fallen off. Despite being missing for only three days, his body was in such a bad condition that it was tough for police to even find out who the man was. He was found wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, His lifeless body had been left at a notorious dumping ground in the rural cornfields of St. Charles County, just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.After conducting an autopsy, the coroner ruled his death “undetermined” with sus-picion of foul play. 2. The Dupont De Ligonnes FamilyIn the Spring of 2011 after several days had passed, neighbors of the Dupont de Li-gonnes family began to notice that the house seemed unusually quiet.They were a family of 6 and Xavier was the head of the family. He was born in France 1961and had a privileged upbringing in a strict Catholic household. He was described as “courteous and discreet” by neighbors and those who knew him and while It’s unclear what type of employment Xavier was in. It’s thought he worked as an advertising salesman and also ran some companies with limited success. 1. Keith WarrenIt was already dusk - six hours after authorities found Keith Warren’s body hanging from a tree in the back of a townhouse - when his mother and family were informed of his death. The police had deemed it a suicide by hanging. No autopsy was done and his body was quickly brought to a funeral home for embalming. For Keith’s relatives, there was nothing but shock and grief. The 19-year old was a promising student and by all accounts had a bright future ahead of him. He had just been accepted to North Carolina Central University and was to start during the fall but instead, his body was found in July of 1986. So there were 5 UNSOLVED MURDER MYSTERIES Sometimes people are taken from this life all too soon which is hard to deal with. Whitey Bulger Dead at 89Notorious mobster, James “Whitey” Bulger, once led a life of organized crime and murder. He led a double life for a long time and was a notorious South Boston mobster but he also worked as an FBI informant. He spent 16 years on the run before he was finally captured in 2013. 1. Jayme ClossWhen police responded to a 911 call from Barron County, Wisconsin, they didn’t expect to arrive to a gruesome murder scene. When Authortieis arrived to the Closs home on October 15, 2018 and found James Closs 56, and Denise Closs, 46, dead inside their home. Police determined she had been dead for days before she was discovered. Meanwhile, neighbors and friends expressed concern for her daughter, Gypsy Rose who was, according to Dee Dee, suffering from leukemia, muscular dystrophy, asthma and only had the mental capacity of a 7-year old. #2 Louis HastingsOn February 28, 1983, former computer programmer, Louis Hastings went on a shooting rampage in the tiny village of McCarthy, Alaska. Described by his neighbors as a quiet man, Hastings initially grew up in Leawood, Kansas. Since he was young, he had been treated for chronic depression but his family said he grew up as a caring adult – even offering his time to clean birds affected by an oil spill off the Californian Coast. He later became a computer programmer and began working at Stanford University in 1975. Several years later, he married a Stanford librarian. By the 80s, the couple quit their jobs and decided to move to Anchorage, Alaska. Both had dreamed of a quiet life in the wilderness but Hastings grew increasingly troubled by the construction and operation of the Trans-Alaska pipeline. Borley Rectory - EnglandDubbed as the “most haunted house in England,” the Borley Rectory sits on the outskirts of England, in the desolate little town of Borley, close to Suffolk. Built by Reverend Henry Bull in 1862, this structure was built in place of an older rectory that had mysteriously burned down years prior. Legend has it that a 13th century Benedictine monastery once stood on the gorunds. One of the monk had fallen in love with a nun who served in a nearby parish and when the two tried to elope together, their love affair was discovered. 4. The Haunted Vicarage - Sweden First built in 1876, this old vicarage sits quietly in the small village of Borvattnet in Northern Sweden. For over 90 years, the vicarage lay peacefully but in 1927 that all began to change. Then head chaplain, Nils Hedlund had moved in during that time and reported experiencing various things he could not explain. In one instance while doing laundry, he went to the attic to gather more of his clothes and when he looked outside, he could see an unseen force pulling clothes from off the line. 3. Chaonei No. 81 - ChinaAlso called the Chaonei Church, this old French Baroque building with its distinct red brick walls has become celebrated as “Beijing’s most haunted building.” Historically, it’s unknown who built the actual structure but over the years it’s has served as various government offices during the early years of the People’s Republic of China. By the 60s, the Red Guards stayed in the building but for some reason they made a hasty departure – some say because of the structure’s haunted status. Today, the building is in the care of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Beijing, hoever it still remains abandoned. 2. Rose Hall - JamaicaStanding beautifully with its stunning Georgian architecture, you wouldn’t think the Rose Hall Mansion was haunted. By day, it’s a stunning tourist attraction with its white stone walls and impressive stature. But by night, the 650-acre property becomes the object of horror stories and scary tales. 1. Monte Cristo Homestead - AustraliaIn the Australian town of Junee in New South Wales sits a wonderful and charming Victorian home known as the Monte Cristo Homestead. This two-story manor features a gorgeous ornate wraparound balcony and sits on top of a scenic hill overlooking the gorgeous town below. But later on, 11-year old, Mary Bell, would admit to writing it down for “giggles.” Just one day short of her birthday, on May 25, 1968, Mary, lured 4-year old, Martin Brown to an abandoned home in Scotswood, a suburb of England, and strangled him to death. He was found inside the home lying on the floor with blood and saliva trickling down his cheek. Police initially believed it was an accident but then things would take a strange turn. #2 Danny WilliamsIt was the worst thing any parent could imagine. For days, Lois and Larry Williams couldn’t reach their 23-year old son, Danny. On Sunday, June 30, 1991, the two decided to visit their son in Galesburg, Illinois to find out if he was okay.Larry used his own key and headed through the back door. When he entered, he found his son, Danny, slumped down on his couch in the living room, dead from a single gunshot wound with the gun still in his hand. He was the youngest son in the family and for the past two years he had held a management position as a distributor for their family’s million-dollar textile and apparel manufacturing company. Danny recently started living alone and had bought his own house. His parents called police after the discovery. During investigation, cops said that there was no indication of foul play. Once in Denton, she hailed a cab that her to her dorm named Brackenridge Hall. The taxi driver named Edgar Zachary said he dropped her off in front of her housing at 9:30 PM. As they pulled up, he noticed a cream colored convertible with two men inside and that they called out to Virginia. According to the driver, it seemed that the girl knew the men as well as she asked them,” “Well, what y'all doing over here?”2. Brandon Swanson During the last day of classes, 19-year old Brandon Swanson – a freshman at Minnesota West Community College - decided to celebrate with a friend before heading back home to Marshal Minnesotta. On May 14, 2008, just a little after midnight, Brandon called his parents to tell them he accidentally drove his vehicle in a ditch, just 10 minutes from the house and that he needed to be picked up. 1. Frane SelakThe now 85-year old Croatian music teacher has had both bad luck and good luck souround him most of his life, depending on how you look at it. His incredible survival stories began in 1962 while he was travelling on a train from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. The train slid from the rails and into an ice cold river. He had broke his arm and suffered mild hypothermia but while he survived, 17 others didn’t. The following year, he took his first and only airplane ride when the door of the plane burst open midair. He was sucked out and found by emergency workers on the ground lying unconscious on a haystack. He was admitted to the hospital with only minor injuries, the plane ultimately crashed because of the broken door, killing 19 people onboard.3. John ColterThough part of the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition, John Colter is the first person of European descent to ever explore what is now known as Yellowstone National Park. Colter joined the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1803 and was considered one of the best scouts and trappers in the group. As they were on their way back home to St. Louis, Missouri in 1806, they encountered trappers heading to Yellowstone River. Colter didn’t want to return back to “civilization” yet and asked for a discharge from the expedition to join the trappers. The trip however didn’t last long and soon disbanded and Colter would continue to explore various places on his own.2. The Robertson FamilyIt was January 27, 1971 when the Robertson family left the comforts of life and boarded their 43-foot wooden schooner named the Lucette. But on October 7, 1987, a radio reporter named Danny Gordon checked in with the sheriff and was told of an incredible story. The sheriff claimed that three Whytheville officers had seen a UFO. Taking the story with a grain of salt, Danny reported it on his broadcast as a sort of entertaining piece. But then calls began flooding in from his audience who calimed to have seen the strange object too. Danny then set up October 17th as a special night for listeners to call in with their UFO sighting stories and the station was overwhelmed. One lady described the UFO as long and huge with blinking lights as it quietly moved through the sky. Meanwhile, a male caller said he saw it as egg-shaped and another person said it was flashing red, green and white lights as it moved. Danny initially believed there was a rational explanation for what it must have been. He thought it was probably an experimental military craft courtesy of Virginia’s Langley Air Force Base which was nearby. #2 Donnybrook Serial KillerThe town of Donny Brook in South Africa has had its share of ups and downs. But from in1995, the residents there grappled with a different kind of menace – among them lived a psychopathic serial killer who randomly terrorized the community.Christopher Zikode was only 21 years old when he began his life of crime. The first time he was arrested was in July of 1995 when he attacked a young woman. He was charged with the attempted murder of a lady named, Beauty Zulu, but was unfortunately set free on bail. Instead of reforming after his prison encounter, Christopher only grew more vicious. During his time out of prison, he committed five additional offences. This included two attempted murders and three housebreaking charges with intent to rape and murder. Despite being young, or perhaps because of it Christopher was a brazen criminal who did not care much for tactics. His main MO was to break down the front door of his victim’s home – often choosing single women who lived alone – but he also didn’t mind if there were males there either. The Toxic WomanOn February 19, 1994, Gloria Ramirez was admitted to the Riverside General emergency room after suffering from an advanced stage of cervical cancer. While out in the wilderness they stopped by a popular rest stop along the Appalachian Trail called Spence Field. It lays along the tenessee and North carolin boarder and Dennis, his older brother and two other boys thought it would be fun to pull a prank on the adults. They decided they would split up and go into the woods and then simultaneously jump out to scare them It was supposed to be a fun prank and Three of the boys went in one direction while the youngest, Dennis, went the other way. The only reason he was separated from the three was because he had been wearing a bright red shirt, which made him easily visible and they didn’t want to get caught. #2 Charles Walton It was February 14, 1945 when 75-year old Charles Walton left home heading to work at a farm known as the Firs. He lived in Warwickshire , England with his niece, Edith, whom he adopted when she was a young girl. Charles was described as a quiet man and a loner. He didn’t like socializing but he wasn’t hated and didn’t have any known enemies. On that morning, he left his house carrying a slash hook and pitchfork, along with a walking stick which helped him with his arthritis. Charles was employed by Alfred Potter, the farm owner who was known for having a volatile temper. Later that evening Edith came home to find the house empty and She had expected Charles to be home by 4 PM. Alarmed, she realized it was unlikely that he was out hanging out with friends because of his solitary nature. Crane was a popular sitcom star in the 60s but a decade later his life came to a an end under violent and stange cirumstances. In 1978 he was in Scottsdale acting in a play when he was found bludgeoned to death inside his apartment. The 49-year old actor was severly beaten and an electric cord had been wrapped around his neck. Not long after, sordid details about Crane's personal life began to surface. Apparently, the star collected videotapes and photographs of his various sexual liaisons with women. 3. Jean Spangler On October 7, 1949, Jean Spangler, a beautiful 26-year old dancer, model and bit part actress mysteriously disappeared. Jean was a divorcee who had one child. She left her daughter in the care of her sister-in-law before heading out saying she had to go work on set. However, when she didn't come back the following day, her sister-in-law phoned authorites. When police began the investigation, they discovered that the last person to see her was a store clerk who distinctly remembered her, but After that, they couldn't find a single trace of her. 2. Peter IversBest known as an experimental musician, Peter Ivers may not be as well known today but if you were a fan of a show called "New Wave Theatre" in the 80’s then you might have heard of him. His show was a platform for bands like Fear and The Dead Kennedy's. More than a host, Ivers was also a musician. He was a gifted harmonica player and even scored David Lynch's cult classic "Eraserhead." Later on, he opened for Fleetwood Mac and dated film producer, Lucy Fisher, who supervised on films like Jerry Maguire and Men in Black. 1. Jimi Hendrix Michael Jeffery isn't a household name but he was associated with one of the most famous musician that has ever lived – Jimi Hendrix, and Jefferies’ was his manager. Mysterious Australian DisappearanceThe small town of Larrimah, Australia is embroiled in a mystery. With an official population of just 12, Larrimah is a nearly forgotten town. It’s tiny and run down, and It’s next door neighbor is the 3,000 km-long Stuart Highway, famous for missing person’s cases and disappearances. This was the same highway where British backpacker, Pater Falconio disappeared decades ago. Criss Crossed ExOn July 24, 2011, police found the torso and lower leg of a female floating around Oyster Creek in Richmond, Texas. When divers were sent in to scour the lake, they then found more of the female’s dismembered remains. These remains were later identified as belonging to 27-year old, Laura Ackerson. A mother of two, it was unclear how she was killed, but autopsy reports showed she may have been asphyxiated and suffered some form of blunt force trauma to the neck. 1. Jaws Films Hidden Secret For decades, the identity of a woman nicknamed, “The Lady in the Dunes” has haunted detectives and sleuths everywhere. Found on July 26, 1974 in the Race Point Dunes of Provincetown, Massachusetts, the unidentified remains of a woman were found by a teenager walking her dog. The body was just yards away from the road and badly decomposed because of prolonged exposure to the heat and the outdoors. Beale left behind the cipher texts in the 1820’s. He met an innkeeper by the name of Robert Morris and left behind the pamphlets in a strongbox before going out mining. Over the course of several months, Morris received letters from Beale chronicling his mining expedition and providing instructions to Morris not to open the strongbox until 1832. 2. Saddle Ridge GoldDiscovered in 2013, the Saddle Ridge Gold is one of the biggest treasure finds in recent history. It began when a couple walked their dog one morning around their property in Califorinia. Although they've used the trail numerous times, that morning, they discovered a rusty tin can poking out of the ground. They took the can home thinking it contained lead paint. But while struggling to carry it, a portion of the lid cracked open to reveal the edge of a single gold coin. 1. Copper Scroll TreasureFirst discovered in the caves of Qumran in Israel, the Copper Scroll was found alongside the scrolls that would later on become labeled as the Dead Sea Scrolls and eventually make up the Bible. However, the copper scroll was different from the rest of those found in the stash. Whereas the Dead Sea Scrolls were written on papyrus and paper, this one is made and written on copper mixed with tin. The scroll was found on March 14, 1952 and one of the last 15 scrolls found in Cave 3 of the Qumran site. Darlie Routier told the operator she woke up with an intruder inside her home and that they had stabbed her two sons, Devon and Damon before attacking her. Police were on the scene within 3 minutes of the call. After securing the home, they tended to the victims. 6 year old DEvon had suffered a major stab wound that went through to his torso and was pronounced dead on the scene. Meanwhile, Damon who was 5, was still gasping for breath and paramedics did their best to help the boy but he also soon died from a stab wound to the back. As for Darlie, she had superficial wounds on her arms and a slash across her throat that was just millimeters away from hitting her carotid artery. Darlie recounted how she had fallen asleep in the living room with her two boys. Her husband, Darin, and their 7-month old son Drake were asleep in the upstairs bedroom and they were left unharmed. She said she woke up to a man standing over and attacking her. She screamed for Darin and the intruder was alarmed and fled the home, dropping the knife he used in the kitchen. #2 Michael Silka – Manley Hot Springs, AlaskaManley Hot Springs in Alaska was a quiet small town boasting 80 residents in 1984. But in May of that year, a drifter by the name of Michael Silka passed through and did something that nobday there will ever forget. As a young boy, Michael loved the outdoors. He was fascinated with guns and has had a long history of run ins with the law. By high school, he and his brother ran away from home and lived in the woods, only returning after they had depleted their supplies. Michael later joined the US Military on the advice of a neighbor but by 1981, he was discharged due to an assault and discharging his weapon in the barracks. During his military training, he was rated as an expert marksman with a grenade launcher and M16 rifle. After leaving the army he worked odd jobs but also accrued more law enforcement problems. At one point, he spent 4 days in jail for resisting arrest. The abandoned building has had a long storied history and today is a very popular tourist attraction. William Connelly initially built it as a personal hunting lodge in 1725. It's said he used the stones from an ancient burial site to build part of the building. After Connelly died, the structure was rented out and became know as the Hell Fire Club – a gathering place for men to partake in lewd and immoral acts. 2. “I’m Not Crazy” The Village Salon is part of a set of historic buildings that stand in the heart of Grand Cane, Louisiana. The smiley young boy was taken to school by his stepmother, Terri and At around 8:45 AM, she left as Kyron headed into his class. Terri said she then went to run errands and was at the grocery store until arund 10 AM. After that she then drove around town with her daughter in an attempt to soothe her earache. Then she headed to the local gym and was back home around 1:15 PM where she uploaded a photo of Kyron that she had taken at the fair that morning to her social media accounts. By 3 PM, Terri, Kyron’s dad, Kaine and their daughter, Kiara went to the bus stop to meet their son. However when the bus arrived, the driver said that the boy had never gotten on it in the first place. When the bus driver called the school secretary, she told his father Kyron never showed up for his math class and he was marked absent. Terri told the secretary she didn’t have Kyron with her since she dropped him off that morning and that he was missing. The school immediately called 911 who subsequently notified the police. #2 The Stanford Prison ExperimentFor psychologist Phillip Zimbardo and the researchers behind the Stanford Prison Experiment, the study was supposed to focus on how individuals would adapt when placed in a powerless situation. Funded by the U.S. Office of Naval Research, they wanted to test the hypothesis that it’s the personality traits inherent in prisoners and guards that are the main reason behind any abusive behavior present in the prison system. The experiment involved a two-week prison simulation done in a converted portion of the Stanford University Psychology Building, set to resemble the inside of a prison. Over 70 college applicants answered the ad. Each one was given diagnostic interviews as well as tests to determine their personality. The initial screening eliminated those with medical disabilities, psychological issues and any history of crime and abuse. Genghis KhanBorn as Temujin in 1162, he would later be known as the ferocious Genghis Khan – leader of one of the most successful armies and empires that ever existed.Khan was born to violent times. His father kidnapped his mother and forced her into marriage. Before turning 10, his dad was killed and poisoned by his own clan and Khan, along with his mother and siblings, were left abandoned by the clan so they didn't have to feed them. Soon after this he killed his older half-brother to become the head of their household. 3. Attila the HunBranding himself as the Scourge of God, Attila the Hun was born in Hungary around 406. But 34-year old Israel Keyes killed himself soon after confessing to his killing, choosing to take the cowards way out instead of facing prosecution.For nearly a decade, Keyes lived life like a seemingly ordinary man. After finishing his service in the U.S. Military, he set up his Construction business. After settling into Alaska, he used his job as a contractor to travel to different states to do jobs, but more importantly to commit his crimes. On March 16, 2012, he was arrested in Texas when he used a debit card owned by a young girl named Samantha Koenig. His rental car license plate was caught by an ATM camera which led authorities directly to him. See Eighteen-year-old, Samantha was an Alaskan native who worked as a barista at a coffee stand in Anchorage. In February of 2012 someone had kidnapped her from her workplace. #2 Fritz HaarmannFritz Haarmann’s guillotined head had been preserved in formaldehyde for medical and research purposes for 89 years before it was finally cremated by the University of Goettingen's medical department in 2015.For most people, the name might not ring a bell but Haarmann was a true pioneer – in serial killing. Dubbed as “The Butcher of Hanover” and “The Vampire of Hanover,” he was born in hanover, germany in 1879, the youngest of 6 children. At a young age he would manifest his deviancy by tying up his sisters, dressing up in their clothes and even going around at night tapping on neighbor’s windows to make it seem like something supernatural was happening. By the time he was 17, he was arrested for molesting several children. As a result, he was thrown in an asylum where he was to spend the rest of his life. However, he managed to escape to Switzerland and stayed there for 16 months before making his way back to Hanover. Drought Reveasl Massive Hidden HengeNot for 160 years has Ireland experienced a massive drought and heat wave like the one it’s going through right now. But this latest one brought with it a surprise when it revealed the location of a previously unknown 4,000- 5,000-year-old henge in the historic Boyne Valley. It was a fine day when author and photographer Anthony Murphy decided to fly his drone over the famous prehistoric passage tomb, Newgrange. Murphy is a specialist of megalithic monuments and runs the website, Mythical Ireland. He’s interested in ancient structures, especially those in the Boyne Valley area. 4. Lucy LetbyFor more than a year, police had been investigating the deaths of 17 babies and possible harm inflicted on 15 others at Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, England. The investigation was called on by the hospital in May of 2017, after they noticed a higher than expected mortality rate of premature babies and infants between March 2015 and July 2016. The hospital asked police to rule out cases of “unnatural deaths” and soon they narrowed it down to 8 cases before officially discovering a total of 17 babies dying suspiciously in the hospital while 15 others suffered “non-fatal collapses” which is when a baby’s health suddenly declines but manages to survive. 3. Liquid Lake On MarsThere’s liquid water hiding on Mars after all. That’s the good news brought by scientists this past month when they announced they found a body of water lying less then a mile underneath Mars’ south pole. For decades, scientists have been wondering whether liquid water was actualy present on the Martian landscape, since having water could mean the possibility of extraterrestrial life. 2. The Search for Mollie Tibbetts On the night of July 18, 2018, at 10 PM, 20-year old Mollie Tibbetts sent her boyfriend a message saying “goodnight” on Snapchat. Tibbetts was staying at her boyfriend’s brothers’s house in Brooklyn, Iowa. Her boyfriend was two hours away in Dubuque, Iowa for work so Mollie was alone. After this goodnight message, the following day, she was nowhere to be found. Mollie is described by her family as a “fighter.” She is kind, sweet and often has a ready smile. On the day she was last seen, Mollie went out to go jogging. Initial reports said she disappeared during her run but that timeline was off since she still spoke to her mother at around 7:30 PM on the night of the 18th and sent the Snapchat message to her boyfriend later that night. 1. Egidius Schiffer Known as the “Aachen Strangler,” Egidius Schiffer was a serial killer who murdered five women between 1983 and 1990 in the northwestern part of Germany. The 17-year old had left home in Concard California 2 days prior and was heaed to San Fransosco. He was planning to stay overnight and then drive back the following day but he never made it back home. Instead, his body was found bruised and battered, on a desolate beach in the San Francisco Bay. When they found hi, the lifeguard described the body as being in realtivley good condition. There were minor cuts and bruises on his back but no evident trauma and they also noted that he looked “very clean.”A day after he went missing, Kurt’s father, Tom, received an unusual phone call from Kurt’s friend who told him that his son had attempted to leave a cult and because of that was in fear for his life. Tom checked Kurt’s room after and found suspicious items including a knife crafted from a deer hoof, drawings depicting witchcraft, violent fantasies as well as a necklace made with feathers and stones. #2 Audrie Marie HilleyOn the outside, the Hilley’s looked like a picture perfect family, but they were the furthest from that anyone could be. Frank and Audrie Hilley had been married since 1950 and had two children, Mike and Carol. During his late teens, Mike began to fall ill, suffering from stomach problems that were written off as nothing but a persistent stomach flu. Once he moved out of the house for college, the stomach problems mysteriously vanished. While visiting his son at college one day, Frank mentioned he was contemplating divorcing his mother after catching her in bed with another man. Shortly after that Frank himslef started suffering from stomach problems and in May of 1975, he went to the hospital complaining of nausea and tenderness near the stomach. He was admitted, and while his symptoms worsened, Audrie continued to be by his side and stayed by his side until he eventually passed away. When he was just 27 years old, on February 1, 1995 he mysteriously disspaered and has never been seen again.He was good friends with Manic's bassist, Nicky Wire and initially served as the band's driver and roadie. Soon he began helping out in writing the band's lyrics and eventually began playing rhythm guitar. For the band's album "Holy Bible," it's said Edwards himself wrote the majority of the lyrics on it. Even though he wasn't the most talented of musicians, he had a major contribution in the direction of the band's sound. He gained notoriety on May 15, 1991, when he argued with NME journalist, Steve Lamacq, about the band's values and authenticity. Apparently, Steve questioned Edwards on whether or not he was really serious about his art. Edwards responded by pulling out a razor and carving the words "4 REAL" into his forearm. #2 Menger HotelBefore the Menger Hotel was even erected, the site where it would stand was already filled with a rich history. It was in the same area where the famous Battle of the Alamo came to pass in San Antonio Texas. In the 1840s, a 21-year old German immigrant named William A. Menger started to make a name for himself in the area. In a short amount of time, he acquired various breweries and officially gaining the nickname of "Beer King." He went on to marry boarding house proprietress, Mary Guenther and together they transformed the boarding house into the Menger Hotel. By 1859, the Hotel opened for business. It was a beautiful two-story building that was elegant and classy both inside and out. Merger even built an underground tunnel from the hotel that lead straight to his brewery so he could provide an easy access tour to his guests. On the night of September 20, she headed out to go have some fun with her friends. They got someone to buy them a few bottles of whiskey and rum and then they headed to a house party in North Tonawanda, New York. Afterwards, they tried to get into a bar in Buffalo but were turned away because most people in the group were minors. At around 1:20 AM, friends saw Mandy get into the vehicle of an 18-year old male student from their high school. The friends saw the car drive off onto Oliver Street and that was the last time anyone ever saw Mandy alive again. 5 weeks later when two men were out looking for mushrooms near Bond Lake in Lewiston they discovered her lifeless body. By that point it was badly decomposed and It was determined by authorities that she had been strangled and also received several blows to the head that caused two fractures in her skull. #2 Order of the Solar TemplarBased on the ideals promoted by the Knights Templar, the Order of the Solar Templar (Ordre du Temple Solaire or OTS in French) was and still continues to remain one of the most secretive cults in the world today. The Philadelphia ExperimentAlso referred to as Project Rainbow, the Philadelphia Experiment involves covert experiments, disappearing ships and possibly even time travel. A veteran outdoorsman, he went on the camping trip to allow his wife, an obstetrician, some quiet time to study for an exam. Beaudette was with his two young daughters who were 4 and 2 years old and they were inside the tent with him when he was killed. They were left unharmed. His brother-in-law was also camping with them but he was staying in a different tent. 3. British Model Kidnapping SagaIt was supposed to be another photoshoot For British model, Chloe Ayling. Her agent confirmed the booking and afterwards made the arrangements. However, after arriving on July 11 in Milan, Italy, she was accosted by two men. According to her statement, a man with black gloves put a hand on the back of her neck and the other on her mouth. Then another man injected her with something in her arm. Ayling lost consciousness and woke up in a pink bodysuit and socks. She was placed inside the trunk of a car, with her wrists and ankles bound. 2. Nicole LovellWhen 13-year old Nicole Lovell snuck out of her Blacksburg, Virginia home on January 27, 2016, she thought she was heading out for a “secret date.” But it turned out, she wouldn’t be returning home ever again. Nicole was seventh grader who had befriended 18-year old, Virginia Tech student and cross-country athlete, David Eisenhauer, online. On January 27, it’s believed Eisenhauer and another Virginia-tech student named Natalie Keepers, lured Lovell out of her home under the pretense of a secret meeting. 1. Suspect in The Doodler CaseThe Doodler, was a serial killer who rampaged through the San Francisco area between the years 1974 and 75, targeting gay men. His MO was to strike up conversations with potential victims and then lure the men into sexual encounters. Once alone, he would stab them and leave them to die on beaches or in parks. Southern Pacific Railroad AxemanIn 1911-1912, the axe was an item found in nearly every home, so it’s no surprise that it became a weapon for a serial murderer as well. The first reported axe killing was on January 1911 in Rayne, Louisiana. The victims were a mother and her 3-year old child; both were hacked to death while they silently slept in their beds. By February, the killer struck again,10 miles away in Crowley where 3 people from the Byers family were killed. Less then two weeks later four people from the Andres family were mutilated in LaFayette. Every single one of the victims was murdered in their sleep using an axe. 3. The Stoneman The title of The Stoneman first appeared in the English-language print media of Calcutta. It was used as a moniker for a serial killer who had a penchant for smashing his victims' skulls using a stone while they slept. The murders concentrated on two major areas in India: Bombay and Calcutta. Although no one knows for sure whether it's the same killer, the similarities in the crimes make it highly likely.In 1985, the first hints of the Stoneman appeared and continued for two years. Javed MughalOnly $2.40 or 120 rupees, that was the amount Javed Mughal proclaimed as the amount of money he spent in disposing one child. On December 1999, 45-year old, he wrote a letter to a local pakastani newspaper confessing he had murdered 100 boys, mostly beggars and runaways that were between the ages of 6 to 16. He would lure the children and gain their confidence before drugging and then raping them. Afterwards, they would be mutilated, their bodies cut into pieces before being placed inside acid vats to dissolve. After they were fully liquefied he would dump them into the sewer and later in the Ravi River. 1. Ted BundyOne of the most notorious serial killers of the 20th century, it's no surprise Ted Bundy is top of this list. His good looks and charm made it easy for him to win over his victims' trust, resulting in over 30 murdered women but many believe the numbers could be higher. Theodore Bundy was born in Burlington Vermont on November 24, 1946 to a young unwed mother, named Louise. Wife Charged with Murder 17 Years LaterFor 17 years, Denise Williams lived as a free woman in Tallahassee, Florida - working at a desk job in Doak Campbell Stadium at Florida State University. Seventeen years ago, on December 16, 2000, Denise’s husband, Mike disappeared while supposedly going on a lone duck hunting trip at Lake Seminole in Jackson County. Denise said he likely fell from the boat and probably got eaten by alligators. She played herself off as the grieving widow and asked for her privacy to be respected during her time of mourning. Mike’s mother, Cheryl and much of the local law enforcement however, never bought her story. 4. Search for Kimberly King It was September 15, 1979 when 12-year old, Kimberly King from Detroit, Michigan, left home to stay overnight at a friend’s house. She had told her parents she was staying at her best friend, Annie Kim’s house which was just across the street from where her grandmother lived. However, this was a lie. She meant to meet up with her older sister at her grandma’s house to go cruising around town, But plans changed and her sister couldn’t make it. Kim found out the plans were off, but she still headed out anyway. 3. Mysterious Wolf-Dog Creature ShotOn May 16 a rancher in Denton, Montana shot a large canine creature that came within a hundred yards of his livestock. After killing the animal, he reported it as required by law but to their surprise, no one could identify what type of animal it actually was, and news about it spread fast around the internet.The carcass was brought to the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks facility and then to a lab in Bozeman to be studied. It was determined to be a young, non-lactating female from the canid family which includes dogs, coyotes, foxes and wolves. 2. Teen Killed While on the Phone with her MotherEvery time 15-year old, Baleigh Bagshaw, arrived home from school at 3 PM, she would call her mom to let her know she arrived sfaely. On May 7, 2018, it was no different and when Bagshaw arrived at the families Salt Lake City, Utah home, she immediately called her mother. However this time, something horrible happened. While still on the phone, someone snuck inside their home and brutally attacked the 15-year old girl. Her mother was on the line while the attack was happening and heard part of it before the call was abruptly disconected. Her mom immediately called a neighbor and then, 911. 1. Serial Killer ConfessionA proclaimed Mexican Cartel hitman, Jose Manuel Martinez, once lived on and off in Richgrove, California. In 2013, he was captured in Arizona trying to hop over the border to Mexico. At that time, he had an outstanding warrant in Alabama for killing a man - execution style. His reason for shooting him was because he made a rude remark to his daughter. On April 21, 2016 Bobby Jo Manley visited the homes on the Rhoden family’s property to feed their pets. To her shock it was then that she found two bodies in one of the houses and promptly called 911. Before police arrived, she found two more dead in another home there. Bobby Jo's brother James then went and checked on their sister, Dana Rhoden's home when he found the third crime scene. When police arrived they found three more victims and By 1:26 PM, the final victim, an adult male, was found at a nearby home in Piketon. After thoroughly searching the properties, three young children, 3 years old, 6 months old, and a 4-day old were found unharmed. In total there were 7 adult victims and one 16-year old , all of whom belonged to the Rhoden family. Every single person except for one received multiple gunshot wounds to the head – and were killed execution style. Bruises were also discovered some of the victims indicating they were also beaten and may have even tried to fight back. The majority of the victims however, were murdered while sleeping in their beds and likly never even woke up beforehand. #2 Newgrange - County MeathAlso known as a "Passage Tomb," Newgrange is one of the oldest structures ever created. It's found in Ireland's Boyne Valley and thought to have been built by ancient Stone Age farmers. Newgrange is built like a mound and is about 300 feet in diameter and 45 feet high and The entire structure itself occupies an acres worth of land. On the inside, starting from the entrance is a large passage extending 60 feet towards it’s main chamber and is found to align with the rising sun during the Winter Solstice. Along the passage and on the outside are large stone slabs, 22 are found on the West side with 21 along the Eastern portion. Each rises 5 feet high and most are intricately decorated with beautiful carvings. On the outside perimeter of the mound are standing stones, 12 of which have survived but it's believed there may be as many as 35-37. These most likley were added later on instead of being built together with the original mound. The artworks found on the Newgrange "kerbstones" are some of the most intricate and beautiful examples of megalithic art ever discovered. These consists of circles, serpentine forms, spirals as well as dot-in circles. Just like Hierogliphics, no one knows for sure what they mean exactly. It was there she collapsed and died - her son, Luke, told police that "a bad boy" killed his mother.#4 Sally ClarkIn England on the night of December 13 1996, Stephen Clark attended a christmas while his wife Sally stayed at home with their infant son, Christopher. She fed him and put him to bed before heading downstairs to make a cup of tea. When she checked back on the baby, Christopher had turned a pale grey color. She called the paramedics in hysterics, and Christopher was officialt pronounced dead at 10:40 P.M. Sally suffered severe depression after the death and started drinking at work. She eventually sought help and by the time she got pregnant and gave birth to her second son, Harry, in November of 1997, she had stopped drinking completley.#3 Nick YarisIt was December 15, 1981; a young woman named Linda Craig was working at the Tri-State Mall when she was abducted. After she was reported missing, her car was found abandoned on a roadway in Chichester, PA. The next day they disovered her body in a church parking lot, half a mile from where her car was found. She had been stabbed multiple times, beaten and sexually assaulted. Four days after the grim discovery, Nick Yaris and a friend were stopped along the highway because they were driving a stolen car. The confrontation turned violent and Yaris was booked for attempted murder of an officer. He was later acquitted on this, but still convicted for stealing a car. At that time, Yaris was a drug addict and in hopes of getting out of prison early, made up a story about knowing who killed Linda Craig.#2 James Bain In Florida, close to Bain's home, a boy was sleeping inside his bedroom with his sister when an intruder broke in and dragged him towards a baseball field to rape him. The boy stumbled out of woods naked and told his uncle what happened, saying the man that raped him was about 17-18 years old, had sideburns and a mustache. When the victim's uncle, an assistant principal at Bain's high school, heard the description, he said he knew someone matching it, James "Jimmy" Bain.#1 James Joseph RichardsonIn October of 1976, James Richardson and his wife, Annie Mae were heading out for work. Annie prepared the children's meal and placed them in the fridge. The oldest children headed to school while the younger kids headed to Betsy Reese's home. Betsy was a neighbor who looked after the kids. By lunchtime she had all the kids in her house, divided the pre made lunches into seven portions and fed them. The eldest children went back to school but after a few hours, they started convulsing and vomiting. They were rushed to the hospital and soon all but one died. The city of Capuchin is located on the outskirts of Palermo; in it, is found the famously creepy Capuchin Monastery. During the 16th century, the monastery ran out of space for their cemetery and decided to excavate beneath the church. It’s there they created various crypts, which were originally designed to host the mummified bodies of dead monks. The first monk mummified and placed underneath here was Silvestro of Gubbio in 1599 while the last monk interred was Brother Ricardo in 1871. 1. Beelitz-Heilstätten Hospital, Beelitz, GermanyBuilt in the later part of the 18th century, the Beelitz-Heilstätten Hospital otherwise known as the Beelitz Sanatorium was initially created to help rehabilitate tuberculosis patients. It was built from 1898 to 1930 under the direction of the German National Insurance Institute. They thought that the proximity of the area to the capital as well as the fresh countryside air would make the perfect location to help patients. With her blonde hair, blue eyes and gorgeous smile she had a bright future ahead of her. JonBenét's parents were a wealthy couple living in Boulder Colorado. Her dad, John was a multi-millionaire businessman and her mother, Patricia, was a socialite and former beauty queen herself. Both parents were fond of their daughter and provided her everything she could ever need in their luxury plush home.It was 5:45 AM when Patsy Ramsey called 911 weeping and distraught, saying that her daughter, JonBenét had been kidnapped. Within 7 minutes, the first responders were already at the home. John led the officers inside into the kitchen where on the table was a three-page handwritten note from the supposed kidnapper. #2 Black Triangle UFO'sSince the early 80s, sightings of mysterious black triangle ships in the sky have been reported all over the world. These mysterious crafts are just as described - they have a triangle shape and are made from black or dark metal with flashing lights underneath. Among the first sightings of this type of UFO are those reportedly seen in Hudson Valley. It was 1983 when residents in the Hudson Valley of New York, reported a large craft fly over the area. (some say it was the size of a house and others reported it being as big as a football field) The craft had a distinct boomerang or triangular shape and had flashing lights on its underside. Witnesses also noted that it was made from a gunmetal or grayish color material. More than 5,000 people claimed seeing the huge ship and this included ordinary civilians, scientists and police officers. It was completely silent and slow moving and everyone was overwhelmed at the sheer size of it. Police were baffled when calls started coming in about the craft. Moreover, many estimate the ship was flying low at around 500-800 feet above the ground. The nearby Bradley International Airport neither confirmed nor denied the existence of the craft but said that if they had anything on radar it was most likely a weather balloon. He developed a taste for the macabre, started taking drugs and practiced witchcraft - saturating himself with death, hate, war and pain. After being enamored by a vampire video game, he founded and headed his own "Vampire Clan," claiming himself to be a 500-year old vampire named Vesago. An aspiring member of the vampire clan was 15 year old Heather Wendorf. She had been living in Eustis, Florida when, Ferrell, together with Charity Keese, Scott Anderson and Dana Cooper – who were fellow members – went for a visit. Rod and Heather had been friends for a while and she allegedly told him that her parents were mistreating her. 4. Mercy Brown – The Vampire ChildIn 1892, tuberculosis or "consumption," swept through many States. Those inflicted would experience severe fevers, cough up blood, experience sunken eyes and deteriorate physically – as if life was being drained from their bodies. The disease became so widespread that people started believing a sinister force was behind it. Residents soon blamed the presence of the "undead" or vampires, especially in areas like Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut. 3. Tsutomu MiyazakiBorn in Tokyo in1962, Tsutomu was premature and weighed only 4 and a half pounds. He also suffered a birth deformity causing his joints and hands to be fused. As a result, he couldn't bend his wrists upwards and this deformity caused him great embarrassment and distress as he grew older. In elementary school, he was remembered as a bright but quiet student who had trouble making friends. By High school he lost interest in his studies and began to withdraw - collecting graphic porn videos, slasher films and anime. In May1988, his grandfather, who was the only person who ever showed him support, passed away and that’s when his connection to society and the world was severed. 2. Peter Kurten– The Vampire of DusseldorfBorn in 1883 to a dysfunctional and poor family, Peter was the oldest child. His father was a skilled worker but a severe and sadistic alcoholic that would abuse the family family regularly. By 9, he befriended a dogcatcher who would torture the animals he captured. Peter joined him and willingly tortured and killed animals as well and he also claims to have drowned two of his playmates around this time as well. As he grew older, he would engage in sodomy with animals where he found pleasure in stabbing them while engaged in the act. At 16, he ran away and was embroiled in petty crimes, landing him in prison over and over again. 1. Richard Chase, The Vampire of SacramentoFrom a young age Richard showed signs of abnormal behavior. He grew up with strict, disciplinarian parents where he would often get beatings from his father. He also bed wet at an older age, started setting fires and tortured animals. In 1968 at 18 years old he moved out of his home because he thought his mother was trying to poison him. He started capturing and torturing animals hoping to cure various delusional ailments. He would consume the animal remains raw or sometimes create "smoothies" by mixing them with Coke and drinking those. Then in 1975, he was admitted to a mental institution when he injected rabbit's blood into his veins. The late president himself in his 1892 book titled, The Wilderness Hunter, chronicled this unique story. In it he described itsomething very strange that happened to a frontiersman named Bauman along with his partner. The two men were trapping around the remote area of Montana's Wisdom River during the 19th century. After walking around, they found their ideal campsite and started building a lean-to. They started putting up traps surounding the area and when they returned to camp were shocked to find that it had been ransacked and rummaged through. Their shanty tent had been torn down and Although they were disturbed, they pressed on and rebuilt it. As Bauman prepared dinner that evening his partner finally had time to examine the tracks that had been left behind in more detail. Initially thinking it was a bear, upon further examination his partner exclaimed, "Bauman, that bear has been walking on two legs." Bauman laughed at this but still checked out the tracks himself and it did seem to be something walking on 2 feet that made them. #2 Imperial Street KillingsKnown as the Cleveland Strangler, Anthony Edward Sowell is known for murdering 11 women - the remains of which he buried inside his home. Sowell was one of seven children and ever since he was young, he had a history of routinely abusing his own nieces. By 19, he joined the Marines and was there from 1978 - 1985 when he was discharged and even given a Good Conduct Medal, Certificate of Commendation and Letters of Appreciation. It was in 1989 when Sowell was charged with rape, kidnapping and attempted rape. A woman who was three months pregnant during the time went to his home and when she went to leave, was attacked by Anthony who then bound her feet and hands using a belt and tie.
