The police identified it to be that of 19-year old, Kim Wendy Allen. Her hands and ankles were bound, she had been strangled to death and sexually assaulted. After his mother died when he was five, he and his seven siblings were abandoned by their father and left in an old mine. They were discovered by authorities and put in foster care, all except for Billy because of his explosive temper and deformed eye. Instead of being put in a home, he became a ward of the state. By 12, he had started getting involved with petty crime and when caught, he asked to be put in a reformatory instead of foster care. He was placed in detention until 17 and then transferred to the Missouri State Penitentiary. After he was released, he reunited with his father for a bit and told him that he would "live by the gun and roam." 5 TERRIFYING CREEPY Cases Of DEMONIC Possession

SM: 5 Terrifying and Creepy Cases of Demonic PossessionDemons are known throughout history as evil beings that have fallen from the grace of God. Today, demonic possession is still a highly contested issue among the public. Do demons really exist, and If so do they have the power to overtake the mind and body of an individual causing them to do unthinkable and sometimes horrific acts? The following cases point to this as being a reality. Here are 5 Terrifying and Creepy Cases of Demonic Possession. 5. Anna EcklundAnna Ecklund, also known as Emma Schmidt according to official Vatican records, was a devout Catholic girl living in Wisconsin in 1882. Although very little is known about her early life, for most of her childhood she was considered to be like any other girls her own age. However once she turned 8 years, a steady and noticeable change began to emerge in her personality. Despite growing up a devout Catholic, she suddenly showed signs of aversion to the church and pretty much anything religious or holy.4. Clara Germana CeleWhile serving in the Marianhill Mission School of South Africa in 1906, Father Erasmus Horner heard a strange confession from a young, 16-year old girl who told him that she had made a pact with the devil. The priest inquired with the nuns at the school who said that it was Clara Germana Cele, a young orphaned girl who seemed ordinary but sometimes unpredictable. She had been there since she was the age of four, her parents tragically died while she just a baby. 3. Father Marian Rajchel It's one thing to be possessed and perform an exorcism, but to be haunted by demons because you failed the exorcism is a whole other horror. That's what Father Marian Rajchel is suffering through right now. The Polish priest carried out an exorcism in the city of Jaroslaw locate to the south east of Poland. However, he didn't succeed and Soon after he performed the exorcism, he started receiving harassing messages through text messages. Some of it read:“She will not come out of this hell. She’s mine. Anyone who prays for her will die.”2. Julia A recent case of possession that happened in 2008, this is The case of a patient named "Julia". It’s especially unique because it was chronicled by a leading associate professor of psychiatry, Dr. Richard E. Gallagher from New York Medical College and published in an issue of the New Oxford Review. Even though medical professionals rarely diagnose a patient with demonic possession, Dr. Gallagher did just that. After examining a patient he calls "Julia," he discovered no know mental illness in her whatsoever. However, the symptoms that she exhibited were extremely troubling. 1. Pat ReadingThe case of Pat Reading is one of the most terrifying and baffling accounts of demonic possession ever recorded. What makes it so different is that unlike most sufferers, Pat was an ordinary woman without religious affiliation. She was a mother and lived a quiet life in Litchfield, Connecticut in the 1980s. She did not do drugs or drink alcohol and had no history with the occult or any Satanic association at all. Despite this however, she was attacked continuously, first experiencing various strange incidents inside her home. She often felt as if she was being followed inside and would hear loud bangs all around the house. Eventually things began to grow violent. Large furniture would be moved and overturned and Unseen forces would hit her resulting in to bruises and scratches on her body. 5 Terrifying and Creepy Cases of Demonic PossessionThe idea of exorcisms and demonic posessions still conjures up debate among many people. Weather you believe thye’re real or not, there’s no denying the stories are scary and that there’s something sinister behind each and every one of them.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. Top 5 Reasons ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS Were Visited By ADVANCED BEINGS

Top 5 Reasons proving Ancient Civilizations Were Visited by Advanced Beings We’re taught that man was once primitive and over time evolved into the what we are today. But what if that’s not the whole truth? What if ancient man possessed sophisticated technology from advanced beings that we can’t comprehend, even today? The following ancient objects, text and structures will make you question the history books. These are the top 5 reasons proving ancient civilizations were visited by advanced beings.5. The Aluminum Wedge of Aiud In 1974, workers in Aiud, Romania were digging a trench along the Mures River when they discovered a set of Mastodon bones buried under 35 feet of soil. Mastodons are prehistoric creatures that are related to the elephant. They're bigger, stronger and lived in prehistoric times and while it was a great find, there was something else that was much more exciting. Right next to the bones was a curious artifact. An aluminum-shaped wedge, that looked like it came from a hammer. But why was it buried under 35 feet of soil and next to the bones? 4. Nazca Lines Hailed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known throughout the world, The Nazca Lines of Peru are both a mysterious and marvelous site. Because of Nazca's unique topography and climate, these lines have been preserved throughout the centuries and what they showcase still perplexes many people today. First discovered by Peruvian archaeologist Toribio Mejia Xesspe in 1927, he thought that the shallow etched white lines in the Nazca valley were simply trail markers. It wasn't until the 1930's when civilian and military aircrafts flew around the area and discovered the huge pieces of line work on the region connected to form unique figures and shapes.3. Aliens and the Third Reich When it comes to aliens, most people don't immediately associate the Nazis with them. But it seems, the Third Reich might have known something that the rest of the world didn't.If indeed advanced beings visited us in the distant past, is it possible they could have visited even during the 20th century? The rise of Hitler and his army’s acquisition of unique technologies at that time was overwhelming. They managed to quickly develop unique and powerful weapons and were in fact, during World War 2 creating new weapons and vehicles that were far more technologically advanced then any others of the time. Apparently, even before the famous Rosswell incident, the Nazis had encountered their own unique crash. 2. Puma PunkuOne of the most ancient sites in the world, Puma Punku remains a strange and enduring mystery. Found southeast of Lake Titicaca in the Andes Mountains, Puma Punku has been dated to be around 15,000 BC and predates that of the Inca settlement. Puma Punku is actually a part of Tiwanaku, a significant and religious site in later Incan traditions. Known in Aymara language as "The Door of the Puma," the complex is made up of an unwalled western court, terraced platform, a walled in court in the eastern section and a central esplanade without any walls.1. Ancient Text and CarvingsPerhaps the strongest proof hinting at the existence of advanced beings interacting with ancient mankind are those found in ancient texts and carvings. For modern man, much of ancient civilization is a mystery, but what's even more puzzling is seeing unusual creatures or objects that don't have any place in the past. There are several examples of this including those found in Sumerian text. Sumer is thought to be the first urban civilization in Mesopotamia. Top 5 Reasons proving Ancient Civilizations Were Visited by Advanced BeingsSupport the show Learn more about your ad choices. Top 5 Most Haunted Hotels & Inns From Around The WorldFor most of us when we travel or go on vacation, the last thing we want to experience are ghosts or any sort of paranormal activity. Hauntings are a peculiar phenomenon and while they can happen anytime and anywhere, they’re most often found in buildings that have a long history of sadness, violence and murder. These are the top five most haunted hotels and inns from around the world. 5. Banff Springs Hotel Dubbed as the "Castle in the Rockies," The Banff Springs Hotel has hosted celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and royalty like Queen Elizabeth. While it's luxurious rooms and stunning sweeping views of Alberta Cananda are often praised, the structure has also become known for something else - its resident ghosts. Built in the 19th century, the Banff first opened its doors on June 1, 1888. It was a success, as rich European adventurers loved the idea of living in luxury while staying in the middle of the wilderness. Over time, so many guests have come and gone but there are some who apparently never left. 4. The Skirrid Inn Claiming to be one of the oldest pubs in Wales, The Skirrid Inn has stood its ground for over 900 years. While some people think it's an exaggeration and most likely the current building is a 17th century construction, the spot is known as a Pilgrim's trail and most likely before even the current building was built, an older inn had occupied the same spot years before. Regardless of the specifics, there's one thing that locals and those who have visited agree on – the Skirrid Inn is one of the most haunted inns that exists. 3. Akasaka Weekly MansionDespite being a modern building, the Akasaka Weekly Mansion is one of the most famous haunted buildings in Japan today. Paranormal experts can't pinpoint any history as to why the hotel would be haunted but guests have reported so many paranormal incidents on the premises that it's hard to ignore. Building 1 of the hotel is especially active and said to have had multiple suicides, which could be the reason why restless spirits lurk in the building.2. The Stanley Hotel Opening its doors in 1909, The Stanley Hotel has had been functioning for over a century. While it was a prominent and revolutionary hotel during its era, in modern times it's more well known for being the real life "Overlook Hotel" from Stephen King's The Shining. King himself cites the hotel as the main inspiration for his horror masterpiece. The Stanley Hotel was built by inventor, Freelan Oscar Stanley which he ran together with his wife, Flora. After falling in love with Estes Park and attributing his recovery from tuberculosis while staying there, he vowed to create a luxurious resort in the area. Eventually he began building the property in 1907 and by 1909, it was ready to welcome visitors. Stanley not only transformed Estes Park and the nearby towns but he also helped create Rocky Mountain National Park, but it was the Stanley Hotel that would be his lasting legacy. 1. Ancient Ram Inn Haunted by more than 20 ghosts, the Ancient Ram Inn is said to be one of the most haunted inns in all of Britain. Paranormal researchers as well as the current owners of the building have looked into its history and discovered that there could be more than one reason why the structure is so haunted. 4 Most INSANE Notorious MENTAL Asylums Ever

5 Most Insane and Notorious Mental Asylums EverMetal illness is now a fully accepted phenomenon. But back then, mental illness was considered the work of the devil and often those who suffered ended up suffering an even more horrendous fate than they could imagine. The next five places were supposed to be sanctuaries meant to treat those with mental problems. Instead, they became a place of torture and grief. These are the 5 most insane and notorious mental asylums ever. 5. London’s Bethlem Royal HospitalFounded in 1247, the Bethlem Royal Hospital started as a priory for the New Order of St. Mary of Bethlehem. At first, it was created to serve as an alms collection center for the Crusades and eventually it transitioned into becoming a hospital catering only for the mentally insane. The first "mad folk" patients were admitted around the 15th century. Since it was first founded, it has moved to four different locations but it's horrific reputation has only grown. The first building was a bungalow type structure with 12 "cells" for the patients, a kitchen, an exercise yard and a chapel at the center. 4. Aradale Mental HospitalConsidered as one of Australia's largest abandoned asylums, Aradale Mental Hospital, formerly known as the Ararat Lunatic Asylum, was first built in 1864. It's official opening was in 1867. The hospital contained 63 buildings, with each building or ward made to accommodate certain cases including one for "morons," " lunatics," and those who were violent and unstable. The Aradale Hospital operated for 130 years and during that period it's estimated that more than 13,000 people died in the vicinity. It was awfully easy for anyone to be admitted to Aradale. All it took was one signature from anyone that was admitting the person. However, it would take eight signatures if any patient wanted to get out. 3. Athens Lunatic AsylumKnown better as "The Ridges," the Athens Lunatic Asylum cranks up the creepy factor to 11. One look at the Gothic structure and you can tell its rich history most likely wasn't pleasant. The building was first built in 1868. Its iconic design follows "the Kirkbride Plan" which was a standard for asylums during the era. By 1874, it officially opened its doors and started taking in patients. Initially, it was a center designed to treat Civil War soldiers who suffered from PTSD. Of course, the disorder was unknown then and generally treated as "insanity." 2. Pennhurst State School and AsylumOnce dubbed as the "Shame of Pennsylvania," Pennhurst State School and Asylum epitomized the horrendous state of most asylums in decades past. Originally, Pennhurst wasn't intended to be an asylum but instead as a hospital and state school. The government recognized that a hospital caring for the physically and mentally disabled needed to be built. They catered to patients who had psychological or physical "abnormalities" including those that are blind, deaf, mute or those with imperfect speech. The first time they are admitted, the officials would classify them into categories like "insane" or "imbecile." 1. The Federico Mora HospitalThe Federico Mora Hospital in Guatemala is considered one of the most dangerous mental health institutions in the world. When you walk in, the patients often lie motionless on the floor or in their cells – appearing to be heavily sedated. Some are barely clothed while others are naked and covered in their own urine and feces.Patients inside long for human contact and interaction, something they rarely get from any of the staff that is already underpowered as it is. The staff says the patients are only sedated because it's the only way for them to cope. For every two or three nurses, there are over 60-70 patients. 5 Most Insane and Notorious Mental Asylums EverSupport the show Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Twisted 2s #10 Death of Michael Hastings & Freeway Phantom

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: The Death of Michael Hastings and The Freeway PhantomTales of hauntings, murder and scary mysteries, Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look. For this week we focus on a suspicious and mysterious death and a killer who hunted for young girls. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s#1 The Death of Michael Hastings Young and at the peak of his career, the death of journalist and reporter Michael Hastings sent conspiracy theorists into overdrive. Michael Hastings was born in Malone, New York and stayed there until he was 11, together with his parents and his two brothers, Jeff and Jon. While he was young, Hastings already showed an inclination towards journalism and writing – along with a strong political stance. He began his journalism career in Newsweek in 2002, where he served as an unpaid intern. At the same time, he contributed articles to Gentlemen's Quarterly and was a contributing editor at the Rolling Stone magazine. In 2008, he wrote his first book, I Lost My Love in Baghdad chronicling how he lost his then fiancé, Andrea Parhamovich, (a spokeswoman for the National Democratic Institute) after her convoy was attacked by militants, killing her and her three security guards. The Freeway PhantomFrom 1971 to 1972, the Freeway Phantom abducted and killed 6 young victims. Every single one was a black female and under 18 years old. The first victim was 13-year old, Carol Spinks. She disappeared on April 25, 1971 after walking home from buying groceries at a 7-11 located half a mile from her home. Her body was found after six days on a grassy embankment along the highway.Several months later, 16-year old Darlenia Johnson's body was found just 15 feet away from where the first victim was found. Darlenia disappeared while heading to her summer job on July 8. Over a week later, 10-year old Brenda Crockette, was abducted after her mother sent her to the store. Three hours later, Brenda phoned home crying. She said that "A white man picked me up, and I'm heading home in a cab." She also added she believed she was somewhere in Virginia, then abruptly said goodbye. Her body was later found dumped near Baltimore-Washington Parkway. She was raped and strangled using a scarf. Even though Brenda said she was taken by a white man, police believe it was the killer that urged Brenda to call her family and fed her the lines she was supposed to say. Witness reports said that Brenda was spotted with a black male soon after she disappeared. In 2009, possible DNA evidence was recovered on the case of Diane Williams but until today, the case of the Freeway Phantom remains unsolved and open. So there were a two of the most mysterious & Murderous stories around. The world can be a crazy place and Twisted Two’s is sure to show you why.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. 4 EXTREMELY TERRIFYING SCARY Real HAUNTINGS

4 EXTREMELY TERRIFYING AND SCARY REAL HAUNTINGSWe hear about ghost stories and hauntings all the time. They're shared by campfires and told in the nighttime in order to maximize their effectiveness. While the majority of the tales are nothing more then stories meant to scare, sometimes they originate from something real, something very frightening. These are 4 extremely terrifying and scary real hauntings. #4 The Myrtles PlantationMention the American South and you'll picture large plantation houses. These iconic structures embody the beauty of the American home and many also hold a unique past. One such home is the Myrtle's Plantation.Built in 1796 by lawyer, Whiskey Dave Bradford, the plantation was passed down to his daughter Sara and her husband Judge Clark Woodruff. The property has withstood the test of time and has seen wars come and go; switched between multiple owners; and also experienced multiple deaths. It's these deaths and the souls of the spirits that remain that has dubbed the Myrtle Plantation as "one of the most haunted homes" in America. The home is said to be haunted by about 12 ghosts, some of which died on the property, while others are strongly associated to the home and families that lived there. One of the most prominent stories is that of a servant slave named Chloe. #3 Tale Of Resurrection MaryChicago is a large city with it’s fair share of haunted houses and creepy graveyards. But one terrifying ghost haunts the highways of the area and she is known locally as Resurrection Mary. More than three dozen people have encountered, Seen and even spoke with Mary over the years and they all report similar accounts. On such is that of Jerry Paulus in 1939 who was at a local dance hall when he spotted a beautiful girl. He approached her and they spoke, laughed and danced for hours. He described her as rather quiet and also noticed she was cold to the touch. #2 La Laurie House in New OrleansOne of the most famous places in New Orleans, the La Laurie House has lived on in infamy, not just for it’s beautiful historical structure but also for what went on inside. Owned by Madame Delphine MacCarthy, who was better known as Madame La Laurie after she remarried, the house sits on a corner in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The family first moved in - in 1832. Madame La Laurie was among the most influential French-Creole ladies in the city, known for her business skills, beauty and wealth. Her two daughters were among the finest dressed girls in the city and her family was well respected. The home on 1140 Royal Street was a hotspot for social activity. It was a three-story mansion that looked like a plain, boxy corner home from the outside, but inside it had lavish interiors with bright parlors sporting hundreds of candles and grand chandeliers. #1 Bachelor’s Grove CemeteryThe Bachelor's Grove Cemetery looks like any ordinary cemetery. Worn out gravestones peek from the Earth here and there while the surroundings area is covered with trees. The grounds around the cemetery were once home to immigrant settlers. It's asserted that the first burials there happened around the 1840s. However, others suggest that the land had been used as a burial site for German immigrant workers who got killed on the job as early as the 1830s. The area is also believed to be a favorite dumping ground for Chicago mobsters during the 1930s and 40s. A small lagoon in the back of the was said to be the place for hit men to kill and dump snitches or anybody that crossed them. So there were 4 EXTREMELY TERRIFYING AND SCARY REAL HAUNTINGSWith so many people experiencing such strange occurences it’s hard to believe that they could all be made up out of thin air. Perhaps, and possibly even more likley, Something is left behind here on earth, after someone has passed away.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Twisted 2s #9: Operation Midnight Climax & Gunther Stoll

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: Operation Midnight Climax and Gunther StollTales of hauntings, murder and scary mysteries, Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look. For this week we focus on the stunning case of the CIA's Operation Midnight Climax and the baffling story of a food engineer named Gunther Stoll. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s#1 Operation Midnight ClimaxApril 13, 1953 may not be a significant date for most people, but for the CIA and their subsequent "test subjects," it's a crucial date. On this day, CIA director Allen Dulles(Dull –is) green lit Project MK Ultra. This was a secret CIA program that included various unethical experiments conducted on agents as well as civilians. Its main purpose was to explore the use of "mind control" drugs that could aid the military in extracting the truth from P.O.Ws and world leaders. One specific program attached to the project was dubbed Operation Midnight Climax and it was highly unethical. Dr. George Hunter White using the alias Morgan Hall put this operation together for the CIA. In it he used prostitutes in the San Francisco area (and later on expanded to other areas) to entice men and serve them alcohol that was heavily doused with LSD without their knowledge. The women would then go on to perform what they were paid for while various CIA personnel would watch from behind a two-way mirror. The entire scene would be recorded and the candidates were specifically chosen because they might feel embarrassed if the situation was exposed. Their primary goal was to study if sex can be used to make a man talk. The Case of Günther StollIt was 1984, unemployed food engineer, Günther Stoll was living with his wife in Germany. He had been out of work for a while and suffering from a case of paranoia, frequently commenting to his wife that "they" were coming for him or were out to kill him. He never really elaborated who "they" were but he told his wife that he was afraid of them. On October 25, 1984, while at home with his wife, he suddenly exclaimed (“Now I get it!” as if realizing something important. He scrambled for some paper and wrote down the latters " YOG’TZE" and afterwards immediately crossed it out. His wife was perplexed but didn't think much of it because of the odd ways he had been acting recently. Soon afterwards, Stoll left his home and went to his favorite pub in Wilnsdorf. He ordered a beer but before he even managed to take a sip, he collapsed to the floor, knocking himself out to the surprise of the other patrons. They say he wasn't even drunk or tipsy at that poing. Stoll managed to regain consciousness around 11:00 PM and then leaft the bar in his Volkswagen Golf. So there were a two of the most secret and mysterious stories around. The world can be a crazy place and Twisted Two’s is sure to show you why.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Such huge questions are to complex for many of us to comprehend. But others have spent their lifes work developing theories to provide the answers. Buckle up because it’s about to get heavy, These are the Top 4 Mind Bending Theories That Will Change Your Reality 4. The Singularity TheoryThe Theory: A term used to describe a moment or point in time when a civilization changes so much, that the technology as well as its general rules become incomprehensible to those living in the previous generations. Singularity can be kick started by a rapid jump in scientific and technological changes. The change will happen so fast and will be deemed so profound that much of what we are and how we function today will be changed drastically. In many ways, it's a point of no return. 3. Simulation TheoryThe Theory:You, me and the entire universe are nothing but a giant simulation run by higher beings who are smarter than we are. What's more, the game is so lifelike we don't even know we exist in it and we will also never find out.The Simulation theory might sound like the main plot to the Matrix but it's also a real scientific theory. While it's been proposed before, it first gained media attention in a 2003 paper by philosopher, Nick Bostrom titled, "Are You Living in a Simulation?" In his paper, he suggests that in the future, humans will be able to create such powerful computers that humans won't be able to distinguish between reality and simulations.2. The Multiverse Probably one of the most popular theories out there, the Multiverse idea is more than a theory but an actual possibility, at least according to physics, the string theory and quantum mechanics. The idea is that the universe we inhabit isn't the only one out there and it's just one of a multitude of universes is mindboggling. If true, there could be an infanint amount of parallel universes and in each one, there's a version of you. How would it be possible for whole other universes or parallel universes to exist? And what signs can we look to in order to find evidence there could be other dimensions we are not aware about?1. Retroactive PrecognitionDoes the future affect your past? Does precognition exist and is it possible for humans to carry them out? Well-respected psychologist, Daryl Bem from Cornell University, recently published a paper showing that precognition capabilities could be a real phenomenon.Titled, "Feeling the Future: Experimental Evidence for Anomalous Retroactive Influences on Cognition and Affect” the paper was published in The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Daryl took well-established psychological tests and reversed the order to determine whether humans have the ability to predict what they would do in the future. So there were the Top 4 Mind Bending Theories That Will Change Your Reality From being a simulation to psychic abilities, these theories still remain as theories right now, but don't be surprised if one day we end up developing ways to actually prove them to be true.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. Twisted 2s #7: Crew of the Sarah Joe & Family Murders

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: Crew of the Sara Joe and The Family MurdersTales of hauntings, murder and scary mysteries, Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look. This week we look at the mysterious disappearance and reappearance of the ill-fated Sara Joe and the heinous and disturbing killings of a group dubbed "The Family." #1 Crew of The Sara JoeOn February 11, 1979 on the small island of Nahiku off the coast of Maui, Five friends who worked as construction workers decided to take a break for the day and go fishing. They were 27 year old Scott Moorman who had just got divorced and decided to make his dream of settling in Hawaii come true. 38 year old Benjamin Kalama worked as a tile setter, Peter Hanchett was 31 and a plumber, 26 year old Patrick Woessner was the carpenter in the group and Ralph Malaiakini who was 27, was a trucker. The skies were blue and the seas were calm when the five men borrowed the 17-foot and 85 horsepower Boston Whaler named the " Sarah Joe", from Ralph's twin brother. They packed a small cooler to store their catch, brought snacks and headed out. The boat left from the small town of Hana, and with the beautiful skies in plain sight none of them bothered to check the local weather reports and it was this seemingly small oversight, that would prove costly to the team.A major low-pressure system was brewing nearby and hit the town of Hana causing heavy flooding and gale-force winds just hours after the men left. It was so fierce people dubbed it as one of the worst the region had seen in over 50 years. Caught In the middle of this storm was the Sarah Joe. Some of the larger fishing ships barely made it back to shore as they battled 40-foot swells out in the open ocean. #2 The Family Murders Known as Australia's murder capital, Adelaide doesn't necessarily have a higher number of murders compared to Sydney, but it does win out for the brutality and perplexing cases emerging from it. One of these strange cases is dubbed as the "The Family Murders." The term, "Family" was given to this group of unidentified men believed to be involved in the kidnapping, sexual abuse, torture and brutal murders of teenage boys and young men around the 1970s and 80s. On June 5, 1983, 15 year old Richard Kelvin was abducted just a short distance away from his home. He was the son of popular Channel 9’s News anchor, Rob Kelvin, and was last seen sporting a Channel 9 shirt, jeans and white sneakers. 5 weeks later on July 24 his body was found. He was still fully clothed in the same garments he disappeared in and lying in a fetal position. After examination, it was discovered he had died from massive blood loss due to anal injury. Various other marks and brusies were also found on his head and body and His blood tested positive for strong hypnotic drugs like Noctec and Mandrax. Since Mandrax was a heavily regulated prescription drug, police used it to trace possible suspects and Bevan Spencer von Einem's name came up. So there were a two of the most tragic and vicious stories around. The world can be a crazy place and Twisted Two’s is sure to show you why.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. Twisted 2s # 6: Harold Shipman & Cash for Kids Scandal

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: Harold Shipman and The Cash for Kids ScandalTales of hauntings, murder and scary mysteries, Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look. This week our stories focus on one of the world's most prolific serial killers and a bribery scandal that ruined thousands of kids lives. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s#1 Dr. Harold ShipmanHarold Shipman was an esteemed doctor who graduated from Leeds School of Medicine in England. He began his practice in the 70s, working as a general practitioner and became a well respected member of society. But in 1998 he was arrested - and is speculated of killing more than 200 of his patients. Born in 1946, Harold was the middle child growing up and the object of focus for his domineering mother, Vera. Over the years she would gradually instill in him a sense of superiority and that he was special and better than everybody else. This greatly affected Harold and showed in his relationships as an adolescent and adult. His mother later on died from terminal lung cancer but while taking care of her, he was fascinated by the effects morphine had on her while she was suffering. As a general practitioner, he showed great dedication to his patients. But that was a façade because behind closed doors, he was more evil then anyone could imagine. It was the local mortician that first noticed that many of his patients died in the same position of sitting up right. The undertaker approached Shipman about this and the doctor assured him that it was nothing to worry about. The Cash for Kids Scandal The Cash for Kids Scandal is one of the most notorious political and bribery scandals ever uncovered in the US justice system. The story came to light in 2008 and centers around two Pennsylvania judges, Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan, who sentenced thousands of juveniles with mundane crimes into a for profit jail. In exchange, the two men received more than $2.6 million in kickbacks from the owners and creators of the facilities. The crimes committed are nearly commonplace. One 14-year old created a fake and humorous Myspace page of her school's vice principal. Another student who was12-years old, was put in juvenile detention for cursing at another student's mother and yet another was put in jail when his parents unknowingly bought a stolen scooter and gave it to him. Countless juveniles suffered the same unfair judgment, particularly from Judge Chavarella so he could feed more children into the for profit detention centers. Many of the young victims and their families were often persuaded and others coerced to head to court and waive their right to counsel. Without having any chance to defend themselves, they would be pronounced guilty and sentenced to juvenile detention for months at a time or even years. For some, it started them down the path of being in and out of the system and ruined many children’s lives forever. So there were a two of the most killer and scandelous stories around. The world can be a crazy place and Twisted Two’s is sure to show you why.Support the show Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Twisted 2's #5: Alphabet Murders & Girl In The Box

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: The Alphabet Murders and The Girl in the Box Tales of hauntings, murder and scary mysteries, Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look. This week we focus on a decades old cold case that is truly psychotic and a terrifying kidnapping tale of a young women somehow managed to survive. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s #1 The Alphabet MurdersFor over three decades, "The Alphabet Murders" have puzzled officials and investigators. But now, a new suspect emerges and he's a man that wasn't on anyone's radar during the height of the crime. But what are the Alphabet Murders? There are two main series of crimes dubbed with the moniker – one near Rochester, New York and another in Los Angeles, California. The murders were labeled as such because each of the girls' first and last name started with the same letter. In the Rochester case, it was even more sinister because all the victims were under the age of 10. They were abducted, raped and strangled and Not only were the initials of their first and last names the same, they were also found dumped in a town that started with the same initial too. • Carmen Colon was abducted on November 16, 1971 and found dead two days later in a town called Churchville. #2 The Girl in the BoxThe story of Colleen Stan is almost so unbelievable that even today many still wonder how she survived the ordeal. Colleen was only 20-years old in 1977, when she decided to attend a friend's birthday party in Northern California. She was living in Eugene, Oregon and would have to travel, an experienced hitchhiker, she let two cars pass before deciding to take a ride from Cameron and Janice Hooker. Colleen felt confident while climbing into the van because Cameron's wife was there along with their newborn. On the way, they stopped at a gas station where Colleen used the bathroom. Deep down, a small voice told her to run away but she ignored her intuition and climbed back into the vehicle. The moment they found themselves on an isolated stretch, Cameron pulled over and put a knife to the young girls throat. He then proceeded to lock her head in a wooden box he had created which was designed to cut off light, sound and even fresh air from entering. Apparently, the husband and wife had an agreement prior to the abduction. Cameron could abduct a sex slave which he would keep at home and act out his fetish for sexual bondage on. Up until then, it was Janice that had to endure this and she couldn’t take it any longer. So there were a two of the most unbelievable stories around. 4 HORROR MOVIES Based On REAL EVENTS

4 HORROR MOVIES BASED ON REAL EVENTSWe watch horror movies because we get the thrill of being scared all while knowing deep down that it’s just a movie and we’re in no real danger. But sometimes, what we’re viewing actually has deep roots in real life. And in the following cases, the true stories are much scarier than the films could ever be. These are 4 Horror Movies Based on Real Events. 4. Borderland Based on Adolfo de Jesus ConstanzoBorderland was a 2007 film by Zev Berman that told the tale of a group of American college students escaping to Mexico for spring break. There, they run into a bizarre set of characters as one of their friends is kidnapped, tortured and then mutilated. They soon realize they're dealing with more than just kidnappers but also a powerful cult/drug gang, headed by an American serial killer. The friends struggle to survive as they are hunted and killed off one by one. The movie Borderland is scary, and part of it actually happened in real life.Known as "Los Narcosatánicos," Adolfo de Jesus Constanzo was a Cuban-American serial killer, drug dealer and religious cult leader who abducted and murdered, Mark Kilroy Jr., a University of Texas student when he was visiting Mexico for spring break in 1989. 3. The Haunting in Connecticut Based on Al and Carmen SnedekerDirected by Peter Cornwell and released in 2009, The Haunting in Connecticut was released to a moderately successful box-office opening. It told the story of the Campbells as they move into a new home to be near a hospital where their cancer-stricken son would be treated. Little did they know, the new house once served as mortuary until it's traumatic past starts manifesting in violent ways on the family. While it made for a good scary movie, a real life family in Connecticut suffered through much the same experiences as the fictional Campbells. Al and Carmen Snedeker moved to Southington, Connecticut to be closer to UCONN hospital because their son was battling cancer. It was June 30, 1986 when they moved into their new home with their young daughter and three sons. 2. The Entity Based on Doris Bither While The Poltergeist was enjoying box office success, another, lesser-known movie was released at the same time that dealt with a similar theme. Starring award winning actor, Barbara Hershey, the film was called The Entity. It told the story of a young mother named Carla Morran whose life was changed after being repeatedly attacked by unseen forces in her home. In real life, the story of Carla was inspired from the true story of Doris Bither. Her story also inspired the popular book by Frank De Felitta in 1978 titled The Entity, which was in turn, turned into the movie. Doris had a young daughter and three sons living with her in Culver City. Soon after she moved in, an elderly lady knocked on her door and told her to leave the house saying she used to live there as a little girl and that there's was something evil within. While she was shocked at the warning, she did not leave. 1. The Girl Next Door Based on Sylvia LikensBased of Jack Ketchum's 1989 book The Girl Next Door, the movie of the same name focuses on the story of a girl named Meg and her sister Susan Loughlin. When their parents died, the sisters were sent to live with their Aunt Ruth and her three sons, Willie, Ralphie and Donny. But it was here when her nightmare would begin. Meg was tortured, raped, beaten and mutilated by her Aunt and her sons. A neighbor named David tried to help her escape but to no avail. People who have seen the movie both praise it and hate it. The graphic depiction of the crimes and the brutality doled out on Meg is difficult to watch. Yet, what's even more horrifying is that the story is actually a fictionalized account of a true story that happened to a girl named Sylvia Likens.here were 4 HORROR MOVIES BASED ON REAL EVENTSSupport the show Learn more about your ad choices. Twisted 2's #3: Majestic 12 & Orchard Park Apartment Killer

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: The Majestic 12 and The Orchard Park Apartment KillerTales of hauntings, murder and scary mysteries, Every week Twisted Two's dives into a pair of uniquely terrifying true stories that are worthy of a more in depth look. This week we focus on a mysterious group that could potentially hold the secret truth about UFOs and a crazed killer that stalks apartment owners. Get ready for Scary Mysteries, Twisted Two’s #1 The Majestic 12First reported by UFOologists in the 80s, the Majestic 12 group is believed to have started during the Roswell incident in New Mexico in 1947. The theory goes that there was a massive UFO cover-up during the time and that a higher up, more secretive government branch knows all about it. This organization, dubbed as Majestic 12 or MJ-12 was allegedly created by President Truman to help manage extraterrestrial investigations while ensuring strict secrecy. Conspiracy theorists believe that they even go so far as to kill anyone that threatens to expose their secrets. But if the group is as top secret as many say, then how do we even know of it’s existence? The first mention of MJ-12 comes from a mysterious manila envelope that was dropped in writer and UFO researcher, Jamie Shandera's mail slot on December of 1984. Inside the envelope was a roll of film that Shandera with his partner Bill Moore developed. They were pictures of several documents, and they formed the basis for the Majestic 12 theory. The Orchard Park Apartment KillerIt was July 27 in1979 and Bob Smith was walking towards Alyse Rankin's apartment wondering where she was. Alyse had asked Bob, who was her co-worker, to pick her up because her car was being repaired. When he approached her apartment door it was already open and When he looked in, saw her naked body lying on the bed with her feet bound and a pillow covering her upper body. He removed the pillow and to his horror saw that Rankin's head was missing. Policed were called in who determined that Rankin had been sexually assaulted before she was killed and decapitated. They studied the carnage and discovered small droplets of blood leading out from the side of the bed. It trailed out of the apartment and into the parking lot where it seemed the head was placed in a vehicle because that’s where the trail ended. Despite a thorough search, Rankin's head was never found. So there were a pair of some of the most secretive and sinister true stories around. Scary Mysteries TWISTED 2's #1: Freeway Killer & Smurls Poltergeist

SCARY MYSTERIES - TWISTED TWO's: “The Freeway Killer” & “The Smurls Poltergeist”1. Patrick Kearney "The Freeway Killer"Being the oldest often means being more responsible and knowing how to be a role model for younger siblings, but in the case of Patrick Kearney, he was far from a model big brother. Born in Los Angles in 1939, growing up Kearney was a gangly, awkward teen. As a result, his peers often bullied him and Kearney became withdrawn – often fantasizing about killing those that treated him badly. After moving around a bit and a brief failed marriage, he moved back to his home state of California, where he finally turned his morbid fantasies into reality. It was the mid 1960’s and one after another, the bodies of ten men were found ditched along the freeways. All of them males, left naked and all were shot in the head. Some of the bodies had been cut into pieces and stuffed inside heavy-duty trash bags and nearly all of them belonged to the local gay community. One victim was 17-year old, John LaMay – detectives traced the victim's whereabouts prior to his murder and discovered he was last seen with two other people, Patrick who was 37 at the time and now an electronic engineer at Hughes Aircraft Co., and his lover and roommate 34 year old David Hill,. 1. The Smurls PoltergeistOriginally from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Jack and Janet Smurl had to move out and relocate to a new house after Hurricane Agnes devastated their home in 1972. Jack's parents, John and Mary, recently bought a new home in West Pittston, it was a duplex and the arrangement was for John and Mary to live on the right half while Jack, Janet and their four daughters, Dawn, Heather and later on twins Shannon and Carin, stay in the left half. The home was a bit of fixer-upper so the family spent time remodeling, it and For the first 18-months everything seemed quiet. But then in January of 1974, the Smurls began noticing odd things in the home. Previously fixed water pipes would keep leaking even though a plumber had fixed them and an unusual stain appeared on a new carpet seemingly without any cause. Toilets would flush at random even without anyone using them and one evening the television set burst into flames. Additionally the family found scratches on the bathtub, sink and woodwork as if some sort of animal had gouged it. The police identified it to be that of 19-year old, Kim Wendy Allen. Her hands and ankles were bound, she had been strangled to death and sexually assaulted. By 12, he had started getting involved with petty crime and when caught, he asked to be put in a reformatory instead of foster care. He was placed in detention until 17 and then transferred to the Missouri State Penitentiary.

The Aluminum Wedge of Aiud I uteIn 1974, workers in Aiud, Romania were digging a trench along the Mures River when they discovered a set of Mastodon bones buried under 35 feet of soil. But why was it buried under 35 feet of soil and next to the bones?4. They managed to quickly develop unique and powerful weapons and were in fact, during World War 2 creating new weapons and vehicles that were far more technologically advanced then any others of the time.2. In their writings they tell the tales of Sumerians being used by "gods" called the Anuna or the Anunaki to help harvest the land.so there were the Top 5 Reasons proving Ancient Civilizations Were Visited by Advanced BeingsSupport the show Learn more about your ad choices.
