Adriane Insogna, an athletic civil engineer, along with her roommate, Leanne Mazzara, a former beauty queen, were brutally stabbed inside their home. In the weeks after the incident, the police were stumped. They found DNA evidence on the scene after one of the victims managed to wound the assailant. 3. Peter FabianoHalloween night in 1957, it was a little over 11:00 PM when salon owner, Peter Fabiano's doorbell rang. He thought it was just an errant trick-or-treater, saying as he opened the door, "It's a little late for this, isn't it?" The voice replied "no" and lifted the brown paper bag with both hands then shot Fabiano in the chest. Alberto Behar and 74 NASA ScientistsOn January 12, 2015, a small plane crash-landed on the streets of Los Angeles shortly after taking off. Operating the plane was Alberto Behar, a NASA scientist working in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as well as at Arizona State University. Behar was among the scientists who were the first to discover that water once existed on Mars. Normally, a scientists' death is no cause for suspicion or alarm. But Behar's death marked the 74th case of a prominent scientist dying within just two years.
