Ep 173Discover Your Dharma • 173

We will learn: What dharma is and the 4 types of dharma The 5 stages of dharma discovery The 9 Dharma Archetypes and how to find out which one we are Is who you are defined by what you do, or is what you do defined by who you are? Today we’re talking about dharma - your purpose, or universal nature. When we think of purpose, we often think of our careers. But defining yourself by your career is extremely limiting when you think about it. Especially when you consider who you really are - a divine being, living a human experience. It is natural for us to manufacture stories about ourselves based on our human experience, but using these stories to define ourselves doesn’t leave much room for expansion. So what if instead, we tapped into our true nature - or dharma - and used it as the guiding compass for all the choices we make in life? Today’s guest Sahara Rose, 3-time best-selling author, speaker, and podcast host will guide us through this process of self-discovery. She will explain how to let go of the manufactured personality that you’ve developed over the years, and fully identify with the divine being that you are to unlock your limitless potential. Ep 442Managing Crisis and Chronic Stress • X34

We will learn: How chronic stress can cause permanent damage to our brains How symptoms of chronic stress relate to your past experiences A proven 5-step model to help manage chronic stress Trauma sticks with us. We form beliefs about ourselves and the world and other people and it affects how we show up. We stress ourselves out over the little things and it becomes a habit. We resist what is, usually starting with our thoughts. And we create habits of thought that make our lives harder. This includes the little things in life. And if you’re not careful, you can actually permanently damage your own brain. So today, we’re talking about how to deal with stress in a crisis and how to heal your brain and body from all the stress you created before you knew better. Our guest is Dr. Jennifer Love. She is on the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. She has created a proven model to manage chronic stress and has worked with thousands of patients who have undergone trauma and loss. Ep 172The Link Between Food and Perfectionism • 172

We will learn: How to untangle the lies we hold about ourselves How to make peace with shame How to build emotional resilience What does perfectionism have to do with food? Perfectionism is the tendency to hold unrealistically high standards. This mindset can carry beyond work or projects. Often perfectionists also bring this mindset into their expectations for their own bodies. It’s also a common trait in people with eating disorders BUT that’s not the only way it manifests. You may restrict your food or beat yourself up when you don’t adhere to a certain way of eating. Skipping your workout one day feels like an epic fail. Or maybe you just spend way too much time trying to live up to your own impossibly high standards. What would it feel like to let all of that go? What would it feel like to feel free and comfortable in your body. To trust your body’s signals and eat from a place of nourishment… to allow yourself the reward of pleasure food without feeling bad about it, knowing that you can have a muffin without eating all the muffins. Today our guest is Iona Holloway. She is an author, coach, and speaker. She helps women stop shrinking their bodies, worth, and power through vulnerability, creativity, and breathwork. She’s also the author of Ghost: Why Perfect Women Shrink.Links: Show Notes: mindlove.com/172 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self. We will learn: Why so many women are under earners How men and women differ in the way they process financial information How to rewire our brains for financial success Have you ever considered the biggest difference between the wealthy and the average household earner might be their mindsets? While money shouldn’t be what you value the most, it can be a really great support system for whatever you value. But if all you know is the money struggle, that mindset shift can feel impossible. Well today we’re learning that problems with money are never about the money. So where do problems with money come from? And how do we start to develop a wealth mindset? That’s what we’re talking about today. Our guest is Barbara Huson. She is the leading authority on Women, Wealth & Power. She’s on a mission to revolutionize women’s relationship with money. She says that most women’s problems with money have little to do with money itself, but rather with their fear of, or ambivalence toward, power. She’s going to teach us how to earn the money we deserve and build the wealth we desire. Today we will learn: The healing power of presence, non-judgment, and affectionate touch How long it takes for oxytocin to release from touch How to hold someone for healing Links: Show Notes: mindlove.com/171 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self. Ep 170How to Be Smarter with Your Time

We will learn: Some of the biggest traps that are stealing our time / making us time poor How we can analyze our time to find more of it How to build smart routines to make this a way of life There never seems to be enough time. Managing our time poorly has more consequences than just not getting as much stuff done. Time-poor people experience less joy each day. They laugh less. They are less healthy, less productive, AND more likely to divorce. In one study, time stress produced a stronger negative effect on happiness than unemployment. So what do we do about it? Ep 169Healing the Mother Wound

We will learn: What the mother wound is and what keeps it in place How to develop boundaries even if we never enforced them before How to heal by learning how to mother yourself Why is it that mother daughter relationships can be so complicated? Whether you had the worst mother daughter relationship or the typical conflicts, we all have these mother wounds, some just deeper than others. So the question becomes “how do you let go?” How do you heal? That’s what we’re talking about today. Our guest Bethany Webster. In 2013 she published an article entitled “Why it’s Crucial for Women to Heal the Mother Wound” based on a body of work she had been developing for 15 years. And overnight, the article went viral. Women around the world shared it on social media, they discussed it with their friends, and it was referenced in new blogs and podcasts. Before, thought leaders like Adrienne Rich and Christiane Northrup had touched on the concept of a Mother Wound, but no one had yet fleshed out exactly what the Mother Wound is and why it remains a universal experience of women the world over. So Bethany made it her mission to really understand and define the Mother Wound and why and how it manifests. Ep 461Fertility Journeys • X32

We will learn: How to overcome feeling like your body is failing you Dealing with resentment in infertility How to release expectations when you want something so badly Deciding to start a family is a big decision. It’s a decision that will completely change your life. But for many people, getting pregnant isn’t as easy as they’ve been led to believe in the movies. The truth is, about 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant. Also, the natural fertility rate is only about 20% per month for a healthy, fertile 30-year-old woman. That means that for every 100 fertile 30-year-old women trying to get pregnant in one cycle, 20 will be successful and the other 80 will have to try again. And even for those without fertility issues, it takes about 6 months to a year on average of trying to conceive to actually get pregnant. If you’re in the 12% that are still having trouble, then thankfully there are options. Nearly 90% of infertility cases are treatable with medical therapies. So today I’m bringing on someone who has been through it all. Through her path to become a mom of five, Josephine went through the ups and downs with IVF, international adoption and surrogacy. But as many struggles as she faced, also led her toward her purpose. Our guest is Josephine Atluri is an expert in meditation and in overcoming adversity to find joy. Ep 459Dealing with Massive Change • X30

We will learn: Practical tips for dealing with massive change How to decipher when you’re saying no to respect your boundaries vs fear of leaving your comfort zone Why co-creating with the is cosmos so impactful How do you feel about change? Do you handle it well? Do you usually avoid it? Are you optimistic when happens outside of your will? The funny thing is, we actually like change, but only when we’re the one’s choosing it. People not only fear change, they genuinely believe (usually on an unconscious level) that when you’ve been doing something a certain way for a long time, it must be a good way to do things. And the longer you’ve been doing it that way, the better it is. So change isn’t just about embracing the unknown — it’s about giving up something old (and therefore good) for something new (and therefore not good). So with all the change happening in the world, not only do most of us have fear and resistance, we also have all of these beliefs that things are going to get worse. So today we’re talking about how to deal with massive change. From pivoting your business, to homeschooling to dealing with loss and tragedy… and how to do so in a way that you’re actually thriving instead of barely surviving. Our guest is Jenny Fenig. Ep 166The Surprising Power of Introverts • 166

We will learn: How introverts and extroverts differ int heir nervous system responses How to beat your struggles and maximize your strengths as an introvert The best ways for introverts to find meaningful connections Between 25 and 50 percent of the population are introverts. There’s also a lot of misconceptions about introverts. People tend to think they’re super shy or anti-social. But what’s closer to accurate is just that they focus more on internal thoughts and feelings than they do on external stimuli. These assumptions seem like weaknesses, but the truth is, being an introvert is actually a superpower. If you’re an Introvert, you tend to be a good listener. You think before you speak. You usually notice what other people miss. Yeah you enjoy time alone, but you also care about people, so you prefer quality over quantity in your relationships. Your mind is always active.Being an introvert doesn’t come without struggles though. You may tend to overthink, or compare yourself to others. You might let fear or lack of confidence hold your back. But your struggles can be transformed into your greatest strengths. We just need to know the right tools to get the job done. And that’s what we’re talking about today. Our guest is Holley Gerth. She is a bestselling author, licensed counselor, and life coach. Ep 443Sparking Epiphanies • X29

Subscribe in Apple Podcasts or at mindlove.com for the full episode! We will learn: How to recognize an epiphany The stages of every life-changing epiphany How to utilize our epiphanies to their highest potentials. Have you ever had an epiphany? Do you even know what one is? We usually use it to mean a sudden revelation or insight… and most of the time I hear it used in those lightbulb moments of creativity… kinda like an “aha” moment. But I’m coming to learn it goes a little deeper. The dictionary definition is a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential *meaning* of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience. And the word “epiphany” dates all the way back to ancient Greece. It comes from the Greek “epiphaneia,” meaning “appearance” or “manifestation,” and was usually referred to the revelations brought to us by the gods. So it’s not just about a random insight… it’s an intuition realization about the the deeper meaning of something. Which I believe is our whole purpose in being in a body in this lifetime. To find the meaning in our lives. Our guest is Elise Ballard. She is the author of the book, Epiphany: True Stories of Sudden Insight and Epiphany: The Journal, which are all part of her Epiphany Project, a collection of interviews with people from all walks of life about their greatest epiphanies. She is now considered an “epiphany expert” so I’m super stoked at the insights we’ll get from today’s episode. We will learn How the hindsight bias screws with our decisions How to better identify the obstacles that might get in our way When to bring out our full decision toolkit and when to act quickly Why are decisions so hard?We should all know by now that our time is the most valuable resource we have, so why would we willingly waste it on things that are so trivial?Indecision is not cute. I’ll tell you what it is though… It’s annoying. It’s counterproductive and it’s a form of pain. And there are all sorts of consequences. We end up procrastinating so we don’t have to face the decision at all. Which then affects our self-belief because we stop trusting ourselves to keep a structure and finish things. So today we’re going to talk about How to Decide. Our guest is Annie Duke. She is a corporate speaker, and consultant in the decision-making space. Subscribe in Apple Podcasts or at mindlove.com for the full episode! We will learn: Multi-sensory healing - your senses are the portals for your awareness Why strong women often feel empty and disconnected inside How to stop outsourcing your authority Do you believe you can have it all? Or does a part of you believe that having it all is actually a little selfish? As women, we’re given mixed messages, about pretty much everything. Thankfully we live in an era of female empowerment so there are plenty of stories of women being successful and raising a family. But what I’ve found is that when it comes down to it… like when women are faced with the logistics of what it takes to have both, the choice becomes a little murkier. We wonder if it’s selfish to outsource our parenting, or if it makes financial sense or what we’re depriving them of, or if we’ll have the energy to succeed and still be a good mom. So today we’re talking to someone who has done it all. Ep 163How to Develop Mental Strength • 163

We will learn: What makes a mentally strong person Why and how to do hard things How to push through self doubt toward our highest purpose Would you consider yourself mentally strong? Do you even know what that means? Most people though equate mental strength with mental health. But according to the dictionary mental health is just the absence of a mental illness. Often it’s our struggles that motivate us to develop mental strength because we realize that the pain of change is less than the way things are.But here’s the thing, we don’t have to wait for things to get so bad that we’re forced to make changes in our lives. We can choose to consciously create our lives based on what we want out of it, rather than just based on what we don’t want to happen.Well today we’re going to learn how to develop the mental strength that will help us lead our best lives. Our guest is Amy Morin, a psychotherapist and the host of the Mentally Strong People podcast. We will learn: The difference between body image resilience and body positivity? How self-objectification destroys our identities and what to do about it How to create a healthy relationship with your body including powerful mantras and being more media savvy If you’re anything like me, most of your life you’ve had a love/hate relationship with your body.Actually, if you’re a woman, there’s a good chance there’s not a lot of love in that love/hate relationship.Approximately 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies and resort to dieting to achieve their ideal body shape. Our obsessions and disappointment with our bodies isn’t healthy. It creates a disordered relationship with food or with exercise, but most dangerous, it creates a disordered relationship with ourselves.Today’s episode we’re going to explore an alternate vision for your relationship with your body. Our guest has a really unique perspective because as an identical twin, she and her sister basically saw themselves from the outside in, with a constant comparison and sense of competition. We will be speaking with Dr. Lexie Kite today. Ep 482Work through Anxiety and Embrace Struggle • X27

We will learn: How to release our resistance around things we can’t change How to identify subconscious patterns that drive our behavior in subtle ways How to relieve a panic attack in the moment The holidays can be stressful, especially if you’ve been financially impacted this year. There’s all the gift expectations and shopping and cooking and planning… or maybe sadness because you can’t gather or trying to figure out how to make this season special for grandma.Anxiety is really just a feeling of worry or unease about the future. And how your mind and body manifest that unease might be different. There are a few mindset shifts that I think have played a huge role in my being able to overcoming my anxiety quickly.First, I don’t identify with it. It’s temporary and this step is critical to trusting yourself to move through your feelings.Second, train yourself to look within instead of placing blame outside of yourself. This also puts the power back in your hands because you can change how you’re approaching the moment, but you usually can’t change other people or events.Once your brain is primed that you have more power than you used to give yourself credit for, then you have all sorts of tools for dealing with anxiety in the moment. And that’s what we’re talking about today. Our guest is Jean Walters. She is a Transformational Coach and Best Selling author of 5 books specializing in spiritual and personal empowerment. Ep 161How to Use Stress an an Opportunity • 161

We will learn: How to stop resisting our stress How to turn stress into an opportunity And how to stop being bitter and remember why you’re celebrating Stress is inevitable… especially as we’re right smack in the middle of the holidays, still navigating a pandemic, unemployment for a lot of people… and we know that stress has a pretty huge negative impact on our health… so … are we all screwed? No, not if we’re willing to examine our stress a little and change our relationship with it.It is actually possible to never have another problem for the rest of your life. This is because events are not problems; they’re just events. Your resistance to them is what causes the problem. But then the question becomes how do I do that? How do I step into a new mindset? How do I use life to let go of all my impressions of how things should be so I can also let go of the stress they create?Well, you have to become very conscious, especially of that mental voice that starts resisting whenever you think you don’t like something. And that’s what we’re talking about today. Our guest is Dr. Dravon James. She is the founder of Everyday Peace and the author of Freedom is Your Birthright. We will learn: How to bring more awareness to the energies within our bodies How to set an intention to hold space for someone else’s energy instead of being affected by Some reiki techniques we can do on ourselves Today we’re talking about an energy healing technique called Reiki. In most spiritual beliefs, our energy is responsible for a lot in our lives, so this type of energy healing can alleviate pain, reduce symptoms of almost any disease, promote relaxation, decrease stress and anxiety. There’s a growing number of cancer patients that swear by it. Even hospitals like Johns Hopkins have started incorporating it and patients have reported faster recovery times. So today we’ll be discussing is how to take the things we learn from reiki and apply it to our lives. Our guest is Nathalie Jaspar is a Reiki master with over a decade of experience. Ep 474The Ego and God are One • X17

We will learn: How can you open your mind and heart to what is holding you back How to open yourself up to the psychic dimension How to integrate the ego for a more unified self What’s your relationship to your ego? We get a lot of mixed messages about ego. I think the first things I understood about it was just what it means to have a big ego, or to be egotistical. What if instead of shunning the ego, we integrate it. We acknowledge its intention, even feel grateful for it, but just understand there are more pieces to the puzzle that need to be considered before just act on the ego’s impulse.Thinking about the ego this way can be a pretty big step in self love. And moving away from separation and towards unity. Because how can we really feel unity with our full selves if we’re resisting such a big part of our own humanity? So that’s part of what we’re diving into today. Our guest is Vincent Genna. Vincent is known as the “tell-it-like-it-is” and a truly authentic Spiritual Teacher and Psychic Therapist.Vincent also teaches all levels of psychic and mediumship skills, including communicating with animals. He’s got a big personality and is such an amazing story teller so this will be a fun episode.Sign up for Mind Love Premium here.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Ep 150Subtle Energy Healing for Trauma, Stress or Chronic Illness • 150

We will learn: The energies beneath our challenges Healthy vs unhealthy fear and the main causes of both How to connect with the center of your heart chakra to gain power and insight The biggest oversight we make in our spiritual journeys is to bypass the man experience. We think we can just overshadow any pain or negative emotion with positivity. Or shun our ego out of existence. Or we deny that we have any fear at all, because somehow fear is the opposite of love.Right now, we are experiencing a collective trauma. Healing really involves both our human and spiritual selves, to fully integrate what we’re going through into who we are becoming. If we bypass the human side of it, like denying our sadness or our pain, and trying to just overpower with the positive, or if we deny the spiritual side of it, like not paying attention to where energy may be blocked in the body, we don’t clear our the unresolved trauma. We miss half the lesson either way.So today we’re talking about our subtle energy bodies and how they affect our physical realities. Our guest is is Cyndi Dale. She’s an internationally renowned author, speaker, healer, and business consultant and the author of 27 books about energy medicine, intuition, and spirituality.Show Notes: mindlove.com/150 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self. Ep 473Meditate Like a Buddhist • X16

Sign up for Mind Love Premium for the full episode here.We will learn: The 3 causes of mental suffering: desire, aversion and delusion What we should be paying attention to during meditation How to apply non-attachment to everything we do I believe every religion, philosophy, school of thought, way of life… has something to teach. I like to go into ideas with the mindset of “what can I take with me from this?”So today, we’re going to take some lessons from Buddhism. Without knowing much about Buddhism, it quickly started to positively affect my life, sometimes with something as simple as a quote. There are so many good ones: “Be where you are; otherwise you will miss your life.”“Remembering a wrong is like carrying a burden on the mind.”“If you propose to speak always ask yourself, is it true, is it necessary, is it kind.”There are just so many nuggets of wisdom that you can directly apply to basically every area of your life. If you’re a student of meditation, or you’re curious about it, it actually originates with the Hindu culture and Buddha was a Hindu. So today we’re diving into the Buddhist teachings we can all benefit from, specifically with inner self talk, meditation and just processing our lives. Our guest is Cynthia Kane. Ep 490Declutter Your Mind through Organization and Tidying Up • X15

Have you ever noticed that your mind usually reflects your environment? When my house is a mess, or just full of clutter, it’s like my mind takes on that energy… scattered, chaotic, all over the place. This isn’t just an observation. It’s science.Studies show that clutter can affect our anxiety levels, sleep, and ability to focus. It can also make us less productive and here’s the real kicker for me… it can trigger coping and avoidance strategies. So all that’s bad enough, but our physical environments can also influence our cognition (so our ability to understand things), it can affect our emotions and behaviors, even including our relationships with others. That’s a lot at stake for a messy home.Today we’re talking to AnnMarie Brogan and Marie Limpert. These two friends quit their corporate jobs to become professional organizers and now they’re the author of the book Beyond Tidy: Declutter Your Mind and Discover the Magic of Organized Living. We will learn: How clutter affects the mind Useful tips for how to approach organizing without overwhelming yourself How to create a vision for your space See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Ep 148Aligning With Unity • 148

We will learn: How we limit ourselves in the present based on past experiences How to expand our perception from 3D to 5D Our roles in the collective conscious What if all your pain came back to one thing… all of our depression, anxiety, loneliness, addictions, anger, relationship problems, self-destruction, racism, the division in the world… it all comes back to separation.Separation on the macro and mic levels. When we go through a trauma, a part of us becomes fragmented and that healing process is about integrating this big painful thing that happened with who we are now.And I think the big pursuit in our human journey is to remember who we truly are. To find unity with the divine within all of us, within every thing we see. But then the question is… how do find unity? And what are we being called to do? So today we’re diving into this with Jessie Herman.Jessie Herman is a transformational coach and pranic energy healer living who is also the channel through which the non-physical entity group known as ‘Vagrein’ flows. You know ho much I love my channels. She offers Vagrein’s balance of love and wisdom to the world with the hopes of transmitting their message of unity consciousness and self acceptance.Links from the episode: Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/148 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self. Ep 472Becoming Trigger Proof • X14

We will learn: How even little traumas get stored in the body Why is it necessary to deal with anxiety cognitively as well as physiologically Useful tools for self-regulating emotions, including an easy “hack” for activating the parasympathetic nervous system We all have triggers. No matter what’s going on in the world. Learning to manage you triggers can be incredibly helpful for a happy life. Expecting everyone else to cater to your triggers is just not realistic, nor is it really their responsibility. Your triggers are your responsibility. You can either go through life limiting your experience to make sure you stay in your safe little bubble, or you can start to develop some resilience. When we start to uncover these things we realize that often the thing we think is the problem, is just a symptom that’s going to keep coming back until we figure out what’s really underneath it. So that’s what we’re talking about today. Our guest is Dr. Nima Rahmany. He specializes in helping people get to the ROOT CAUSE of their physical and emotional challenges. After building a successful chiropractic practice, he sold his clinic to pursue his passion for teaching and coaching professionals who are stressed, depressed, and anxious to transform and have their best year ever.
