Ep 275But It Tastes So Good...
EHow often do you hear yourself thinking... "Everything is so expensive, I can't afford to lose weight right now." or "This tastes so good, I can't stop eating." If this sounds like you - you don't want to miss this podcast. First, I go off on a rant about how losing weight will actually SAVE you money. Yup - you heard that right. We blow that shit up right away. Then, I teach you a mini-lesson from inside my membership about how to stop eating when "It Tastes So Good." You'll learn a step-by-step process for how to eat your favorite foods without going face-down in them (avoiding you beating yourself up instead of enjoying them.)
Ep 274The 4 Phases of Belief
EThis week we're tackling the 4 phases of belief building. Today's podcast is the 2nd installment in a 2-part series helping you build belief in yourself and weightloss. Last week I taught you the 3 things you must put your belief in (and it has nothing to do with your goal weight). Go back to Episode 273 for Part 1 if you haven't already. Today's podcast will teach you how to build up your beliefs and use them to keep going, and so you can lose all of your weight and keep it off. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 2733 Things you MUST Believe to Lose Weight
EI remember thinking at 250lbs, "I will never lose my weight." I WANTED to lose weight so bad. But I didn't think I could do it. Day after day, I thought: How hard it would be for me since my whole family struggled with weight. My genes were 'bad," so why bother. About all the diets I had failed. There's no way somebody with my track record could lose weight. So how could someone like me, who'd been overweight since the age of 9, had bad genetics, no idea how to cook, failed diet after failed diet, and ZERO belief in herself, ACTUALLY lose 100lbs? I had to find the RIGHT kind of belief. I was trying to believe in the wrong things at first. And that's why belief is so tricky to build. We don't know how to do it. TODAY, that changes. In a 2-part series, I'm teaching the components of belief, which is part of a new course inside the No BS Weightloss Program called "Mastering Maintenance." (You have a quality problem when your clients lose so much weight that you need an innovative and ground-breaking maintenance program.) Belief comes down to 3 important components. Today's podcast explains each one in detail so you can LOSE weight confidently instead of fearfully (resulting in you quitting before you barely even start). And, in next week's podcast, I'll tell you about the phases of belief we all go through. So watch for that episode, too. When you finish these two podcasts, you'll have exactly what you need to lose your weight with confidence. Listen to Episode 273: 3 Things you MUST Believe to Lose Weight. The 3 Keys to Nailing Doable Hunger
EYou've taken my free course and know all about doable hunger but ... it didn't click like magic. I bet you're beating yourself up because you keep forgetting to ask yourself, 'am I hungry' before you head to the vending machine for your daily snickers at work. Maybe last night you got distracted by the dinner conversation. Before you know it, your plate was clean and you got pissed because you didn't ask yourself, 'have I had enough?' yet again. NEWS FLASH It's normal. You're not supposed to get doable hunger right away. Listen, we've been trained from a young age that we should eat more. What did your parents say? "are you sure you're done eating because we're not going to be eating again until dinner?" "you haven't eaten enough. Quit getting distracted and take a few more bites." "finish what's on your plate and then you can go play." As we were growing up, our brains internalized that the body must be wrong and trained us to tune it out. Combine what we learned growing up with dieting (where an app tells you that you've eaten all your points for the day BUT you're starving)... It's no wonder why so many of us no longer use our bodies as a tool to tell us when we're hungry or when we've had enough. The point is ... Eating when you aren't hungry isn't a terrible thing. What IS terrible (and will stop you from making progress and make you more apt to quit) is when you talk to yourself like an asshole. It took time for us to tune our bodies out, and it's going to take the THREE THINGS I reveal in this week's 10-minute podcast to tune it back in. I promise it's not willpower that will help you lose weight. It's figuring out how to keep going when shit doesn't go the way you planned. And I'm dedicated to helping you figure it out this week. Ep 271I'm Broken (IVF + Weightloss)
EI was a guest on the "So Now What" podcast by Lana Mankowski. She helps women who have a history of infertility and couldn't have a child. Why did she want to talk to me? She's a member of my No BS Weightloss program and joined to lose weight gained while going through IVF. She knew that the two of us could have a powerful conversation about the struggles these women feel with their weight, their body, and what's next for them. You know I have a child, but I understand what it's like to feel as if you're broken. I talk about the years of shame and guilt I had around Logan having autism. (And bring the tissues if you cry when I cry. I cried a lot.) We talk about how to think about the future when one dream ends and a new dream needs to be created. We discuss body image and dealing with feeling broken or like your body has failed you. I think every woman can benefit from this conversation. If you've ever felt less than, like your body isn't "normal", or lost as to how to move forward in life when you're dealt with a dream crushing blow, this podcast will help you. Listen to Episode 271: I'm Broken (IVF x Weightloss). And CLICK HERE to subscribe to Lana's podcast, too, because she was kind enough to let me share it with all of you. Please leave her a review and 5-star rating. She's doing amazing work in this world. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 270What's a Weightloss Coach (and Avoiding Imposters)
EToday's podcast helps you avoid weightloss coach imposters. I'll show you all the ways having a real coach will help you (and how the imposters keep you stuck in hopeless dieting tactics and programs). No more assholes or AI bots responding in your moment of need. You deserve better. And you deserve to quit wasting your money and time. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Summer Weightloss Q&A
EHow do you go on vacation and not eat your face off? Is travel bloat a "real thing," or am I just fooling myself? How do you lose weight when your friends are always wanting to "go out" because the weather is nice? My kids are home and that screws up my usual routine. It's too stressful to lose weight with all that chaos. How can I deal with that AND try to lose weight, too? If ANY of this sounds like you, listen to this week's podcast. My recent Facebook Live was FILLED with answers to all the summer weightloss questions. Listen to Episode 269: Summer Weightloss Q&A right now. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 268Anxiety and Weightloss
EA lot is going down in the world right now. Hell, the last two years have NOT been a picnic for any of us. I'm watching so many of my No BS Women going through some shit. Things like battling cancer, raising a child on the spectrum, or taking care of elderly parents who can no longer care for themselves. World events aren't making anything easier. But neither will eating your face off in response to all the bullshit going down. I know things are scary and uncertain. And yet, food still isn't the solution, even though it SEEMS like one since you haven't been taught anything else to do. Today's podcast has FOUR ways to handle uncertain times and the anxiety and stress that comes along with it. I always say my mission is to teach every woman how to lose weight for good and feel as amazing as she deserves. To lose weight for good, you must stop eating when shit hits the fan. To feel as amazing as you deserve, you need ways to feel better when a crap sandwich keeps getting served to you over and over again. I can't change what's happening in the world, but I can help you change how you respond to it. Listen to Episode 268: Anxiety and Weightloss today. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 267The Keep Start Stop Method
EYears ago, I went through Yoga Teacher Training. Yes, me. The F-Bomb Queen was getting her woo on for 9 months. My teacher taught me a simple method to improving how I taught a class. It was so good that I taught it to my No BS Women. In today's podcast, I'm teaching you the Keep Start Stop Method for weightloss. It's a quick hack you can use to do a weekly review of how you ate and treated yourself. In the podcast, I teach you... • How I use the Keep Start Stop Method to this day (including when I do it and what I think before I even write one thing down in my planner). • A simple trick anyone can do to tame the shitty voice in their head that often makes you feel bad and do asshole things to lose weight. • Why assessing is more important than planning shit to do. Listen to Episode 267: The Keep Start Stop Method. FYI - I also reference Episode 42: How to Do A Monthly Assessment. Let me know what you think! Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 266Common Weightloss Questions: When to Weigh, What to Do When Plans Change & More
EIt's Q & A day, which means I answered a ton of burning weightloss questions like... How often should I weigh in? (It's not what Weight Watchers says you should do.) What do you do when you have your food planned out and somebody throws a wrench into your plan? (I teach you how you are ALWAYS in charge of what you eat, even when you don't think you are.) In maintenance - do you STILL plan your food? I don't want to, so do I just need to suck it up? (I tell you exactly what I do and why I do it.) I'm doing really well with your free course, but I'm confused about when to start "leveling up" my food. (I'll tell you how to know when you should and when you shouldn't). I answered even more questions than these, so make sure you listen: Episode 266: Common Weightloss Questions: When to Weigh, What to Do When Plans Change & More. Ep 265Weighing Your Body, Not Your Self-Esteem
EDo you make sure you poop, pee, and strip butt-ass naked before you weigh in? Do you carefully balance yourself on the scale, shifting your weight, trying to manipulate the final number? Does your mood of the day depend on what the scale says? If so, this is the podcast you need in your life. Today I'm teaching you... • The mindset you need when you step on the scale so you can lose weight (instead of losing your shit). • The 3 types of "Weightloss Journey Drama" you might do that overcomplicates your weightloss. • How to stop letting the scale dictate your mood. • And, you'll learn what you need to examine MOST to lose your weight. (Hint: it's not your weight.) Listen to Episode 265: Weighing Your Body, Not Your Self-Esteem today! Don't forget to forward this email to anyone who could benefit from today's podcast. Ep 264Good vs. Bad Questions
EAre you sitting around asking yourself ... Why can't I lose weight? Why can't I stick to my 24-hour food plan Why can't I figure out my body's hunger signals? These are TERRIBLE questions to ask yourself. Why? Your brain is NEVER going to answer these questions with something that will help you move towards your goal. When you start your questions with 'Why can't I,' your brain goes looking for all the reasons and excuses why you can't. Inside the No BS Weightloss Program, I help my No BS Women realize that thinking 'Why Can't I' is a red flag, and teach them how to start taking the emotion out of weightloss so they can find solutions, not excuses. Today I have a special sneak peek inside of the membership for you. A few months ago I popped up in our private Facebook group and did a surprise Live video while I was walking. Check out this 10-minutes podcast from inside the No BS Weightloss Program where you'll learn: How to recognize you're asking yourself terrible questions. How to start looking at weightloss like I do. How to start asking better questions and feel better right NOW. Listen to Episode 264: Good vs. Bad Questions today. Ep 263How to Make a Decision
EMaking a decision can bring up a lot of crap. It can feel overwhelming because you have a load of options and bring on a ton of fear you'll choose the wrong thing. Without the ability to sort through your fears, worries, and perfectionistic tendencies, you'll find yourself stuck in indecision and feeling like shit. The last thing I want for you is a lot of worry and stress while you're trying to lose weight listening to the podcast. So, I recorded a podcast that makes any decision you need to make a little easier on you. You'll learn the same 3-step process I use to make rock-solid decisions while also acknowledging my biggest fears. You'll want to take notes while listening. I give you key questions to answer that'll help you feel confident you thought things through and made a decision you can believe in. Don't wait - Listen to Episode 263: How to Make a Decision right now. And, don't forget to screenshot and share this episode on your social media if it's helpful. Ep 261How to Use the Podcast for Weightloss
EI was broke-ass poor growing up. Momma worked minimum wage jobs, trying her best to keep my baby brother and I fed. Those days were when I learned a lot of my eating habits. Things like: "Eat all you can because who knows when the next meal is coming..." "Fast food is not only cheap, but it's a good way to get a lot of food after a long, hard day." But those days also taught me something else. A lot of people can't afford to lose weight. They don't have the money for programs, kits, and trainers. My mother tried many diets and often quit because she didn't have the money. I wish she had someone like me pumping out help. Knowing my mom, and how scrappy she was, she'd be all over my podcast and free course like stink on shit. Today's podcast is all about making the most out of all the free resources I offer. Maybe you'll join No BS one day because you love what I teach so much. But, you might be someone who can never join and need all the help you can get. Either way, today I'm going to lay out exactly how I would use the Losing 100lbs Podcast and the Free Course to lose all the weight you want. First, take the Free Course. Ep 260Weekend Planning Isn't Hard
EA lot of us have this thought about the weekends just being hard. We associate weekends with dinner parties, BBQs & potlucks, and going out. Maybe weekends are your time off and all you want to do is relax...and cooking seems like so much work. You see, when we don't challenge our belief that weekends are hard, all we're going to see are things that reinforce our beliefs. On this week's podcast, I'm shining a light on WHY your brain does this. Check out Episode 260: Weekend Planning Isn't Hard so you can stick to your plans this weekend and feel proud of yourself when you wake up Monday morning. Ep 259Four Basics of Exercise Fueling with Jill Angie
ERecently, I was a guest on the podcast Not Your Average Runner with Jill Angie. (You can check out her website HERE). Jill helps women of all sizes and fitness levels learn how to run. I sure wish I had a Jill back when I started running. She would've told me the size of my body doesn't define being an adult athlete, and my pace had nothing to do with my worthiness as a runner. And I know she would've helped me quit using exercise as a punishment for being overweight. She reached out to me and said, "You should come up with the Four Basics of Exercise Fueling. Women need a simple way to approach eating and exercising that helps them fuel like a badass." She was right. And today on the podcast, I teach them to you. Listen to Episode 259: The Four Basics of Exercise Fueling with Jill Angie. Don't forget to screenshot this episode and share it on social media. Tag me and Jill! Ep 258Can I Lose Weight If...
EOn the 3rd Tuesday of the month, I go Facebook Live to answer questions from listeners of the Losing 100lbs with Corinne podcast. When you listen to this week's podcast, you'll hear me answer all kinds of questions. Things like can I lose weight if... I'm in menopause? I'm 80 years old? I travel a lot for work? I feel fake and weird trying to treat myself better? I love food? I answer these questions and many more. Make sure you listen because it was an hour of powerful weightloss help. Ep 257Now is NOT the Time to Lose Weight
EThere are 3 reasons people think, "Now is not the time to lose weight." It's important to know these because our reasons usually sound very legit... But they might not be. Sometimes we find justifications and excuses in our life to avoid doing something we are just SCARED of doing. This happens in weightloss all the time. Deep down, we don't think we can do it. We look around at our life and find a good excuse. And then we get a sense of RELIEF that right now is not a good time. That relief is easier to feel than the fear of trying to lose weight, no matter what's going on and regardless of what we're afraid of. In today's podcast, I'll walk you through our 3 biggest excuses. After 15 years of helping 1000's of women lose weight, I know what you need to watch out for. When you stop using these things as an excuse, you'll be able to get started on your weightloss journey much easier. Listen to Episode 257: Now Is Not the Time to Lose Weight today. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 256How to Stop Eating to Feel Good
EThe biggest mistake in weightloss I see women make is simple: They spend time trying to lose weight to feel good about themselves instead of learning how to feel good about themselves so they are motivated in a good way to lose weight. When you lose weight to feel good about yourself, you will run out of energy. Your inner critic is in charge and whipping your ass daily to make sure you stick to your diet. And when we run out of energy, we EAT to FEEL GOOD. You're desperately trying to outrun what's going on inside your head with weightloss and food. When you learn how to change the inner dialogue, you GAIN energy. You WANT to take care of yourself, and you tell yourself NO with regards to overeating because you know THAT is how you want to TREAT yourself. Today on the podcast, I'll walk you through two of the most common ways we talk to ourselves that have us eating to feel good. Listen to Episode 256: How to Stop Eating to Feel Good today! Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 255How to Stop Thinking You HAVE TO.
EDo you start the month all gung ho on your diet and then fizzle out a couple of weeks in? I'm going to let you in on a big No BS secret. The only thing that changes are your thoughts. I can hear you now. "But Corinne, what about motivation?" Are you sitting around waiting for motivation to fall out of the sky? It's time to look at your thoughts and see if they give you power or take it away. The best way to do that is to change your thoughts and get away from HAVE TO thinking. This week I'm going to tell you how to start CHOOSING to do everything in your life... and it's a game-changer. You don't HAVE to do shit! You CHOOSE to do everything in your life. Listen to Episode 255: How to Stop Thinking You HAVE TO today and learn how to stop relying on motivation to lose your weight. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 2544 Signs You're Emotionally Eating
EDo you ever find yourself eating when you aren't hungry simply because you're bored? Do you "clean your plate" knowing you should stop eating? Have you ever suddenly needed something sweet to get you through the afternoon? Maybe you end a "good day" with a little treat. I mean, come on. You DESERVE a reward for all the bullshit you put up with today. These are four common symptoms of emotional eating. And when you want to lose weight, they also leave you feeling frustrated and pissed because they STOP weightloss in its tracks. Today on the podcast, I'm helping you understand the four most common forms of emotional eating. You'll learn... Why we often eat when we're bored (and once you know this, you'll have a solution for what to do and think when boredom strikes). A simple test to distinguish between hunger and cravings (so you aren't sitting around confused all the time about whether you should eat). How to terminate your "Clean Plate Club" membership (and why so many of us feel wasteful or guilty for throwing away food). What type of reward you deserve for all the hard work you do each day (plus how to make sure your kids don't learn reward eating, too). Listen to Episode 254: 4 Signs You're Emotionally Eating. This is a good one, so download it, share it, and tag me on your social. I want to know what you think. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 253When New Year's Diets Go to Shit
EDid you know that by January 19, most people have given up on their diet and fitness goals they set with so much enthusiasm on January 1? That's right. Most people won't even make it past the first three weeks. If you're one of them, DON'T LOSE HOPE. There are four things to think about that can help you refocus and restart in a way that can last. Did you start something unsustainable or a temporary fix? How was it going? What worked for you and what didn't? Did you lose motivation, and do you know it's normal? Or did you lose motivation and conclude something must be wrong? How can you get back up in the quickest and simplest way? Today's podcast is from a Facebook Live where I talked about why New Year's diets fail and what to do about it. I also answered questions about how to make sure you're eating enough while losing weight, what to do when you hate your loose skin, and why using calorie counters DON'T help you lose weight long term. They actually do more harm than good, and I'll tell you why. Listen to Episode 253: When New Year's Diets Go to Shit. Also, be sure you download the episode, rate and review the podcast, and share with at least one friend. Help me spread the word about Losing 100lbs with Corinne. Ep 252Why Losing the Last 20 Pounds Is Hard
EWhether you're trying to lose the last 20lbs or wondering why your weightloss stalls out before you reach your goal - this podcast is for you. I've got 6 things you must watch out for so that you can lose those last stubborn pounds. It has nothing to do with cutting carbs, exercising more, or starving your ass off. You'll learn... What to do if you keep thinking, "I shouldn't have to eat less," and how to make changes that don't freak you out. Why you don't need to "give up carbs" or "get restrictive" until you've done this one thing. What makes you "be good" all week and then "relax" on the weekends. How to determine if your weightloss goal is what you truly want, or if it's based on bullshit like trying to feel good about yourself by losing a few more pounds. (Because if the first 50lbs didn't make you proud, what makes you think 20 more will change how you feel?) Listen to Episode 252: Why Losing the Last 20lbs is Hard today. Ep 251My Partner Doesn't Support Me
EHave you ever wondered, "how do I tell my partner I'm trying to lose weight again without their raised eyebrows and jackass comments?" In this podcast, I'll teach you... 1. How to own your diet history. 2. How to have a different type of conversation with your partner. 3. The role of patience and compassion as weightloss tools. 4. How to keep going if you don't get their support. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 250Losing Weight & Afraid of Regaining It
EWhen I lost 100lbs, you'd think I'd be over the moon ecstatic. There were moments I was thrilled. Don't get me wrong. LOL Tucking my shirt in was awesome. Shopping in the regular stores blew my mind. Picking up a medium shirt and having it fit was better than any dessert I'd ever eaten. But there were not enough shopping and getting dressed opportunities to quiet my fears of regaining my weight. I'd never kept my weight off. I blamed it on being too happy or getting cocky. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was I didn't realize how much time I spent in my mind allowing myself to be TERRIFIED of weight gain. And when I was scared, I obsessed over the scale. If it went up at all, I would convince myself something was wrong. I needed to workout more or eat less. Even though I lost weight by making small changes, my brain got super irrational when I hit goal because I was so afraid I would gain my weight back. Irrational thinking leads to irrational actions. Things like trying to skip a meal if I felt the last one "wasn't good enough." Or working out a little longer the day after having a "treat." Luckily I caught this. I noticed that I was trying to keep my weight off from fear. Losing weight should've made me proud and confident, but I noticed my feelings didn't match my expectations. This was when I knew I didn't need to let myself stay afraid and react to it. I needed one simple thing: TO CHANGE HOW I THOUGHT ABOUT MYSELF. Losing weight triggered a new level of insecurities in me, and that was a good thing. The more you find bullshit thinking, the more you find a path to thinking better about yourself. In today's podcast, I coach some women on... Finding confidence in maintenance (versus worrying the shit out of yourself that you'll gain weight). How to love yourself and the process of weightloss so that it's easier to avoid all this maintenance fear once you lose your weight. What to do if you want to have a good relationship with sugar or even drop sugar because of a health condition (because both are possible). And what to do with scale anxiety as you lose weight. Ep 249How to Get Your Money's Worth
EI would love to know how much money I spent on useless diets. I spent money on... -Books I either didn't read or ignored the shit they promoted. -Gym memberships I let lapse after over-exercising and nearly pulling the toilet paper holder off the wall because my legs were so sore. -Trainers who questioned me like a criminal for not losing weight as fast as they thought I "should." -Programs that promised big results as long as I was able to give up every single thing I loved to eat along with my entire social life. -Pills I took in my 20's that at age 47, I wonder what the fuck I was even thinking (I wasn't thinking - I was desperate). In this podcast, I break down popular diets and dieting trends. I teach you what most of these trends are missing (and once you understand this you'll stop wasting money on the wrong programs). I'll also share THREE things you need to know to get your money's worth out of the next program you pick. Don't waste another dime on weightloss until you listen to Episode 249: How to Get Your Money's Worth. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 248What if I Fail?
EOf all the questions you could ask yourself about weightloss, What If I Fail is likely the one you ask 100's of times before starting a diet. And it's BULLSHIT! Think about the question. What kind of answer are you going to get? Crappy ones because it's the wrong question. It doesn't lead you toward change, believing in yourself, or even an idea of what to do next. What it DOES is scare your ass like a raccoon in the night when the lights are turned on. You either freeze up or turn and run, hoping not to die. In Episode 248, I'll teach you all about how to "what if" yourself the right way. I'll explain the language to watch out for (and how to stop it). Tell you what to do when you catch yourself in the vortex of negativity. And most important, how to dream a little even if you're scared to imagine losing weight for fear you'll fail. Listen to Episode 248: What If I Fail. It's a must-listen for anyone who is scared they can't lose weight. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 247Underworking vs. Overworking
EIt feels like shit to work hard and not see the scale move. It's defeating to put in three weeks of hard work only to find yourself face down in pizza on Friday after a tough week. Why doesn't hard work just WORK? Well, it's because you've never been taught that OVERWORKING is worse than UNDERWORKING. In weightloss, we're more likely to overwork ourselves in the beginning and then quit the moment something doesn't "go right." Things like: -The scale doesn't move. -Something bad happens in life. -You see some results and then reward yourself with food (so you can "take it easy" for a minute). After years of overworking on diets, I learned that my brain wasn't ready for all those changes I tried to make. What I needed were changes I could build upon. Small ones where I could easily tell myself, "Look, you're doing it. So what's next?" In today's podcast, I teach you 3 ways to avoid overworking so you can lose weight like a BOSS. You'll learn... ✅ Three words you must stop using when you take small, doable actions to lose weight. ✅ The one word worse than the F-bomb you are using right now that keeps you feeling punished, bad, and like you can't get your shit together. ✅ One simple question to use when you need to figure out how to do something you don't want to do. Listen to Epidode 247: Underworking Versus Overworking right now. And, If you love this episode, leave a rating and review. Ep 24624 Hour Food Plan FAQs
EA lot of us spend a ton of time on our thoughts but have a hard time taking action. For example: Did you make your 24-hour food plan today? Did you follow the last plan you made? Are you sure you will follow today's plan, no matter what? Have you made a plan for 30 days in a row? If you've taken my free course, you know that making a 24 Hour plan is one of the Four Basics of Weightloss... But I bet you have a hard time being consistent with your plans and following through on them when you DO make them. Believe me, that's NORMAL. And I don't want you beating yourself up over it or quitting because "it all feels too hard." I want you to ask questions, study, and figure out how to improve your habits just a little bit this week. That's why today I'm answering two common questions I get about planning your food: How do I follow through with making and following a 24-hour plan? What if I want something different from what I planned? Listen to Episode 246: 24 Hour Food Plan FAQs It's a quick one - under 15 minutes long - but you'll want to listen twice because it's full of amazing nuggets you won't want to miss. Ep 245I Deserve This
EI remember day after day wanting to lose weight so bad. I'd wake up, swear I was going to be "good," and head off to face a day filled with putting out fires and rushing around dealing with way too much for one woman to handle. I was the "go to" person to get shit done: Corinne will handle it. Corinne's good under pressure. Mommy is the only person I want right now. Hell, if my cat could talk, I'm sure she would say that I'm the only one who can clean the cat box EXACTLY as she needs it to do her business. Then, night after night, I'd find myself unwinding with a few glasses of wine or a big ass bowl of cereal (and I mean BIG). All the while thinking, "I deserve this." What a fucking messed-up message that is. Do you know what I deserved? ✓ Telling myself what a baller I was at the end of the day instead of thinking I didn't get enough done. ✓ An honest conversation with people in my life about what I needed help with (instead of choosing not to look weak or put people out). ✓ I also deserved to lose the weight I wanted to and end the day proud instead of constantly swearing that tomorrow would be better. Too many women are struggling with this. So I decided to dedicate a podcast to the "I deserve to eat this" mentality. I'll tell you… Why we reward ourselves with food. How to break the habit of eating when you need comfort and relaxation. Where the BS idea that women have to do ALL THE THINGS to be good enough came from. Listen to Episode 245: I Deserve to Eat This today! Be sure to share it with someone who could benefit from listening. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 244Can I Drink and Still Lose Weight?
ECan you lose weight and still drink alcohol? Does drinking slow down your weightloss? These are two popular questions inside the No BS Weightloss Program (so much so we created a program and conduct special calls to help our members out). Today in Podcast Episode 244, you'll get a few tips and tricks on how to enjoy drinking without stalling your weightloss. You'll learn... ➡️ How I plan my wine and date nights. ➡️ The types of drinks I love (especially while In Las Vegas because you know that's my favorite vacation spot). ➡️ The difference between having a good time vs. unwinding and overdoing it (which doesn't help weightloss). I cover a lot of good stuff in this episode. Even if you don't drink, you can use a lot of these tips for desserts, unwinding with food, and more. Ep 243Busting Your Holiday Excuses
EAre you freaking out about the holidays? Afraid you'll eat your face off because that's what you do year after year? This often happens because we go into the holidays... Worried about what people will think of our home, our body, or our weight. Fearing food because we've restricted so much on a diet that we have zero practice around some of our favorite foods. Thinking some foods are "bad," and the moment we eat something we love, we start spiraling in shame (which causes you to say fuck it and wait for January 1 to get your shit together). Am I the only one sick and tired of spending the holidays in worry, shame, or defeat? Well, It doesn't have to be that way. One of the things I teach my No BS Women is they get to decide if they are going to gain, maintain or lose weight during the holidays. You heard that right. You don't have to lose weight if you don't want to. But you also don't have to go facedown in Grandma's chess pie either. This podcast is a small part of a class I taught my members. I wanted you to have it so you can feel something better than afraid, unsure, and overwhelmed during the holidays. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 242Scared to Lose Weight: Loose Skin, Exercise & Weight Gain and Male Attention
EThere's a lot of fear around weightloss. You'd think there wouldn't be, but today's podcast proves the opposite. I coach several women with the same problem. There's something making them afraid to lose weight. When you are stuck or suffering with worry, it's a sign you got some shit lurking under the surface you need to overcome. In today's episode you'll hear... A woman stalled out in weightloss because she's so afraid of LOOSE SKIN. We talk about how I've dealt with my own loose skin issues after losing 100lbs. (It's a mindset twist nobody ever talks about.) How exercise, especially lifting weights, isn't causing weight gain (even if the scale goes up every time you start strength training). A brave woman talk about her fears around male attention as she gets smaller. This is common in trauma survivors. We discuss why this happens and a perspective shift can use to feel comfortable and safe in her new body. Be sure you download the episode and share it with anyone who could benefit from listening. Ep 241When the 4 Basics Aren't Working
EWhen you first hear the Four Basics you likely think, "I should be able to do this." They make sense. They are simple to understand. There's no big ass rules or restrictions. But even when something is simple to understand that doesn't make it easy to do. In today's podcast I'll teach you... What it means when you aren't "perfect" with the Four Basics (and it's not that you are a failure or can't do it). How to use them to plot the things you need to work on that the diet industry NEVER teaches you. Why the Four Basics are a great way to see what your relationship with food and yourself are like. This will be an episode you'll want to come back to time and time again. So, DOWNLOAD it and listen anytime you need a reminder of how to get better and better with the Basics. Ep 24075 Hard Review
EI keep seeing people talk about 75 Hard. Maybe you've even had friends try it to lose weight and get in shape. Once I looked into it, I was like, WHOA. This can definitely perpetuate the diet myth that to lose weight, you must... Put a heavy emphasis on workouts for weightloss. Give up foods you love. Have inflexible rules. Be punished for not being perfect. I don't believe in that shit. So in today's podcast, I give you my thoughts. And I'm pretty sure the haters will be dousing me in the hater-ade. But so what? It's my podcast, and I'll say what I want. At the end of the day, I'll always tell you what I think. I'll be honest. And I'll always be on the side of making sure you can lose your weight in a way that you CAN LIVE YOUR LIFE. Listen to Episode 240: 75 Hard Review today. Ep 239Dealing with Feelings: Shame, Fear, Confusion and Restriction
EIf you are overweight, you might experience feelings like shame, fear, confusion and restriction. Being aware of these emotions is the first step in dealing with them. In Episode 239, I am live coaching four women through each of these feelings. And when you are aware of these emotions and what's causing them, you have the POWER to overcome them. This podcast is packed with goodies like... Finding your why for losing or keeping your weight off (even after you receive devastating news that has you FEARING you can't do it). How to do Corinne's free program when your life is upside down and your friends are doing all kinds of other diets. I cut through the confusion and show you how to focus instead. Ep 238It's Not Too Late (55+ Weightloss)
EWomen are told all the time that they can't lose weight. And if you are peri-menopausal, post-menopausal, or going through menopause, you are practically written off! I see it all the time. And frankly, it pisses me off. I'm not here to debate hormones, but I do know this. I have an awful lot of No BS Women in their 50's, 60's, and 70's losing weight even after they were told they couldn't. And if you know me, I didn't tell them to do anything other than let go of emotional eating. That includes... Eating a bunch of shit after 8pm because you feel you're too old to go after your dreams. Eating your face off all weekend because you're pissed that the scale didn't move as fast as you thought it should. Having wine every night because your kids are gone, and you don't know what to do with yourself anymore. Today's podcast is special to me. It's a recording I did specifically for my No BS Women in the private membership. You're going to hear me helping my badass women who are 55+ get their mindset together. I want them AND YOU to know there's a lot of life left for us. We're not done. We're just getting started. Everybody needs to watch us set goals and go after them! Ep 236The Right Time to Lose Weight
EI struggled with weightloss most of my life. Day after day, I would spend time wondering if now was a good time to start. There were so many times I would worry if I could do it. Do you ever do that? Sit back worrying and wondering about losing weight while your mind tells you 1000 reasons you can't do it? Wondering and worrying about my weight kept me 100lbs overweight most of my life. I was constantly putting off starting and spent years spinning out, trying to find the perfect way to lose weight. Well, I've got HELP for you in today's podcast. Together we're going to make making decisions in weightloss EASIER. And, as a bonus, you can use what I teach you to make any tough decision faster and with more confidence. It's just three simple steps, and you can make any decision that overwhelms or scares the shit out of you SIMPLER to make. Listen to this podcast: The Right Time to Lose Weight. Ep 235Basic Mistakes
EI teach four simple steps to weightloss. Drink water (shoot for 64 ounces to help prevent carb and salt cravings). Get 7-9 hours of sleep (otherwise, your body can't burn fat and will store it instead). Eat when you get hungry (not just when it's time or you want to) and stop right before you're full (instead of when you feel bloated and burpy). And, make a plan of what you'll eat for the day, including foods you like (instead of hoping you'll "do good" and then eating whatever you want in the moment when you're tired and stressed). That's the bottom line of everything I teach. It's simple and makes sense. But there are a couple of mistakes I see people make all the time. In today's podcast - Episode 235: Basic Mistakes, Kathy and I talk about... What to do when you keep getting pissed you overate AGAIN (trust me, it's normal to overeat and not as big a deal as you make it). How you might be trying to blend old, restrictive diet rules with the Four Basics (leaving you feeling deprived and wondering why the Basics don't feel easy). Chronic hunger and how the diet industry has taught you to obsess over everything that goes into your mouth. Listen to Episode 235 so you can avoid making these basic mistakes that can keep you from losing weight. Get the Free Course here: http://NoBSFreeCourse.com
Ep 234The Secret to Faster Weightloss
ELosing weight was one of the hardest things I've done in my life (and I've overcome depression, built my own business, and been heart-fucking-broken several times). I couldn't have done it without knowing how to keep my ass motivated. And to be motivated, I had to do things that made sense TO ME. When losing weight makes sense to you...guess what? You LOSE WEIGHT FASTER. I needed to make weightloss so easy that it was harder to give up. To quit. To use my excuses to eat. You don't need tricks, low-carb days, or fasting. You need to be CONSISTENTLY doing easy shit and doing that easy shit over and over again. BAM. Weightloss. In this podcast, I help you figure out how to make your weightloss a whole lot easier. And we'll do that by learning how you best stay motivated and learn. You'll hear me talk about... The three types of learners and why this MATTERS in weightloss. Knowing how you best learn keeps you from getting stuck on diets that leave you bored as fuck or confused as to what to do. How to best use the FREE tools I give you week after week in the podcast and on my social feeds. How I've set up the No BS Weightloss Program to include a lot of ways to lose weight (which saves you TIME and keeps you motivated). Ep 233Fear of Food
EI recently spent a week with 20,000 women teaching them how to take control of food. And I learned two things. One is that the diet industry has done a good job teaching us how to be terrified of food. We spend our days thinking...What if I get hungry? Thank you to all the bat shit crazy diets that convinced us eating 1200 calories a day "was good for us." And kudos to the diets that said we need to eat every 2-3 hours, tricking us into believing that the way our bodies were designed is all a big fat lie. THE TRUTH? You are designed NOT TO EAT UNTIL YOU ARE PHYSICALLY HUNGRY. Why do you think you have belly chemicals to signal hunger and satisfaction to begin with? The good Lord didn't give those to you because He was bored AF designing you. Look, you allowing hunger isn't a problem. It's what you make hungry mean that's the problem. We all make being hungry mean some fucked up shit. "I'll starve if I don't eat enough." No, you won't! You might get hungry again and just eat! But at least TEST if you need to eat as much as you THINK you do. "If I don't eat it all, not only am I "wasting" the food, but I might not get it again for a while!" Like you ain't ever gonna eat a cheeseburger again for the rest of your life? Come on. And tell me whose belly, other than yours, benefits when you overeat for fear of waste. The second thing I learned was how terrified people are they can't lose weight. And when you're afraid, you're stuck making excuses as to why you can't lose weight because you don't want to face your FEARS. We waste time thinking we don't have time, enough support, or the right conditions to lose weight. When we could be spending time thinking about why we want it, what we ARE willing to do, the things we are willing to say no to, and the reasons we might be more capable than we give ourselves credit for. In today's podcast, I talk about these two things. AND you get to listen in as I coach some people on... What to do when after being on a roll you find yourself off the rails and afraid you can't get back on track. How to know if you're trying to lose weight using "diet trauma" thinking versus losing weight from challenge and determination. Good questions to ask yourself when you journal that help you feel better and eat better. Click here to listen to Episode 233: Fear of Food. Be sure to DOWNLOAD this episode. Ep 232Ways to Get Your Family's Support for Weightloss
EAre you starting to lose weight and worried about getting your family's support? This podcast talks about what it really takes to get meaningful and truly helpful support that will help you lose weight and keep it off. (I've kept my weight off for over a decade - even though my husband and son eat completely different than I do. So believe me, I get what you're going through). There's a lot of confusion about what people should and shouldn't say around us about weightloss. Not to mention how massively overwhelming it can be to have people in your life who ARE doing their best to help you but you still feel bad, unsure, and doubtful that you can lose weight. That's why I recorded this podcast and coached people live. We need now, more than ever, to learn how to get support. I talk about... How to deal with an 82-year-old momma that always talks about dieting (making you go off the rails and eat in rebellion). Three things you can say and do TODAY to start the conversation with your loved ones about weightloss (without getting everybody worked up that you're starting another diet). How WRONG your doctor is when they tell you that in menopause you might as well give up on weightloss. And, what to do if it feels "emotionally dangerous" to tell people in your life that you're trying to lose weight. Ep 231Why You Can't Lose Weight (and how to fix it)
EWe have a lot of stories about our weight. We forget the stories are debatable because they feel true to us. Day after day, we continue to think our bullshit and it just gets more and more believable. The problem isn't that our shitty ass stories are true. The problem is we aren't CHALLENGING those stories with something equally as true. I had the busted ass thought that I could lose weight but couldn't keep it off. After 20+ diets where I lost and regained 75lbs, I could argue all day that I'd always be overweight. It never occurred to me that thinking about my failed diets was not USEFUL. It was a huge waste of my time to allow myself to feel defeated over my past. What changed most for me in weightloss was noticing when I was thinking like an asshole and deciding to think in a way that would help me. In today's podcast, I show you how I started with, "I'm figuring this out a little at a time." I can show you how to start with where you are. Ep 230Eating Out and Weightloss
EI worked in the restaurant industry for over 13 years and know all about the BS things they do to food that keeps us stuck overeating and not losing weight. Things like... Over serving you (which causes you to eat MORE so you don't feel like you wasted your money). Adding oils and crap to your food so it looks good after sitting in the window (meaning you're eating extra calories just so the food looks pretty). In this podcast, I'm revealing how you can go out to eat without derailing your weightloss. Making simple changes to how you order AND knowing a few tricks I personally used at restaurants while losing 100lbs can make a big difference in your weightloss. From tips at the drive-through to your favorite steak house, you'll learn some easy-to-do things that'll allow you to eat out and keep making progress on your weightloss. Ep 229What Happens When You Tell Yourself "the diet starts tomorrow."
EIt's Sunday. It's the 1st of the month. It's the day before you start a new diet ... it's NOT a reenactment of the Last Supper. Eating all your favorites and getting all the tempting foods out of the house the day before a "diet" starts is a red flag warning that you think losing weight must be restrictive, punishing, or means removing "everything you love" from your life. BULLSHIT DIET MENTALITY is rearing its ugly head. It's the ultimate signal that you need to work on WHAT you are doing to lose weight and change your mindset... Not start some new BS diet you found on the internet or that Tim in the cubicle next to you said "would get you in shape." In today's podcast, I'm teaching you: What happens when you tell your brain, "The diet starts tomorrow." Why you're triggered to have a 'Last Supper' of all of your favorite foods before you start a new "diet." Three things you can do to avoid Last Supper diet thinking Click here to listen to Episode 229: What Happens When You Tell Yourself "The diet starts tomorrow." Ep 228Turning 47 (Annual Birthday Reflection)
EI like to celebrate my birthday HARD! I ask myself important questions to reflect and think about my life. I've worked hard to train my brain to find the good stuff and let go of that which doesn't serve me. You'll get a lot out of this episode if you keep thinking there's a body or some achievement in life that will finally feel like enough. I've spent a lifetime seeking my own approval. This year I realized how to just give it without conditions. Get the Free Course here: https://nobsweightloss.com/free-course-organic/
Ep 227Purpose and Desire
EToday I'm helping you figure out: How to keep going when you want to quit. I'll give you the THREE THINGS you must do if you want to go from quitting when it gets hard to pushing through because you're all-in on being a finisher. You'll learn how to... Find a why that works (and how to use it). Keep your why in front and center (instead of forgetting it when you need it most). Talk about what you're doing to lose weight with passion! Ep 226Why Weightloss Is So Hard
EIt's time for some straight talk. Losing weight is hard. There's a lot of behavioral changes to make. The internet is filled with endless diet plans and methods that hold the promise of a quick fix. Hell, your doctor is probably telling you to lose weight "but it'll be nearly impossible." Your whole life feels like an endless cycle of starting and stopping diets where you work so hard. You try so many different things. But nothing is sticking. Nothing feels like you can keep doing it for the long haul. Maybe you wonder, "Why can't I get started?" Or, "Why can't I just lose weight and be done?" If you're struggling to lose weight or keep it off I want you to know it's not your fault. The diets you've done in the past failed to teach you the important things. Things like how to be around your favorite foods and enjoy them (instead of being so worried you'll overeat that you either RUN in the opposite direction OR go face down in it fearing you won't get to eat it again for a long time). Or how to have a stressful day and decompress (without feeling so guilty for taking a minute for yourself that you end up taking your "break" standing in the pantry eating chips). When you don't learn how to deal with your life you end up with a lot of diets that fail at the first sign of emotional trouble. And this starts making every attempt at weightloss feel HARD. My bet is you're making at least ONE of these three mistakes when you try to lose weight. In today's podcast you'll learn what the mistakes are and three ways to make things a lot easier on you. After losing 100lbs and coaching 1000's of women for 10+ years, I hate seeing women like you struggle when there's so many ways to make things easier on you. I believe we all can lose weight way easier than what we've been told. I want you to finally lose your weight and feel as amazing as you deserve. But you can't do it if you're overwhelmed, afraid, and constantly worried that something will go wrong. Don't worry though. In today's podcast I'm going to make things doable, easy, and teach you how to quit making things harder than they need to be. Get the Free Course here: https://nobsweightloss.com/free-course-organic/
