Childhood emotional neglect can have a profound impact on our lives and relationships. We can live an entire lifetime and never recognize how our childhoods may have impacted our adult lives. Childhood emotional neglect is a type of childhood trauma that occurs when caregivers do not meet a child's emotional needs. Emotional neglect can take many forms, including ignoring a child's emotional needs, failing to provide emotional support, or failing to validate a child's feelings. Emotional neglect can be intentional or unintentional and can occur in families of all backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. Children who experience emotional neglect may grow up feeling disconnected from their emotions and struggle to identify and express their feelings. They may also have difficulty forming close relationships with others, setting boundaries, and trusting others. Emotional neglect can have long-lasting effects on a person's mental health and well-being, impacting their ability to function in their personal and professional lives. Emotional neglect can be difficult to recognize, as it often occurs in the absence of overt abuse or neglect. However, with awareness and support, individuals who have experienced emotional neglect can heal and learn to form healthy relationships with themselves and others. Narcissists Make You Sick; Here's How

Welcome to the Lisa A. Romano Breakthrough Life Coach Inc. podcast. In this episode, we will be discussing how narcissistic abuse can make you sick. Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional abuse that can have a significant impact on your physical and mental health. When you are in a relationship with a narcissist, your emotions are constantly being manipulated, which can hijack your reticular activating system. The reticular activating system is a part of your brain that controls your attention and focus. When your emotions are being manipulated, your brain is constantly on high alert, which can lead to an increase in cortisol, the stress hormone. This increase in cortisol can have a negative impact on your nervous and immune systems, making you more susceptible to illness and disease. Furthermore, narcissistic abuse can lead to a range of physical symptoms, including headaches, digestive issues, and chronic pain. It can also lead to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. If you are experiencing narcissistic abuse, it is essential to seek help and support. This can include therapy, life coaching, support groups, and self-care practices such as meditation and exercise. It is also important to set boundaries and prioritize your own well-being. Remember, you deserve to be in a healthy and loving relationship, and it is never too late to make positive changes in your life. Thank you for listening to this episode of the Lisa A. Romano Breakthrough Life Coach Inc. podcast. Sons and Their Mother Wounds

In this podcast episode, Lisa A. Romano delves into the topic of son's and mother wounds. She explains how men have been conditioned to suppress their emotions, especially when it comes to expressing vulnerability or seeking help. This conditioning is often reinforced by toxic messages regarding men and emotions, which can lead to a man struggling with suppressed rage. Romano also discusses how emotionally unavailable mothers can cause a son to crave maternal love in the future. This can lead to a man seeking out relationships with women who remind him of his mother, hoping to finally receive the love and validation he never received as a child. However, this can also lead to a cycle of disappointment and frustration, as the man may never truly find the love and validation he seeks. Throughout the episode, Romano emphasizes the importance of healing these wounds and breaking free from the conditioning that has led to emotional suppression. She encourages men to seek help and support and to work through their emotions in a healthy and productive way. By doing so, men can break free from the cycle of pain and find true healing and fulfillment in their lives. Anxiety and Why You Fear Making Decisions

In this episode, learn about why you fear making a decision and what you can do to reduce anxiety and boost your self-confidence. The human mind is a tool that needs to be understood and explored. Sadly, most humans do not take the time to explore their minds, and falsely assume that whatever thoughts and emotions they are aware of are factual. Emotions should not be confused with facts. A child can assume they are bad, and unworthy as a result of emotional neglect, and parental retaliation. If this child's beliefs remain unchecked, at the level of the subconscious mind and at the neurological level, these beliefs harden into facts the mind accepts as truths. Codependency is the manifestation of such unchecked emotions and beliefs. When one is suffering from codependency, they are stuck in the past, reliving and reenacting their childhood trauma survival strategies. Fawning, people-pleasing, and reliance on others for validation and approval keep codependent adults in the role of the wounded inner child. To break free from anxiety, we must awaken to how the mind works and the many ways in which it was divinely designed to help us avoid pain. By default, the human mind can cut itself off from the emotions one needs to accept, in order to avoid the pain of abandonment. This is self abandonment and this results in anxiety, depression, narcissistic, entangled relationships and a myriad of mental and physical health issues. The power of an organized mind, can set you free from psychological upset, however, to gain this mental clarity, one must possess the tools to embrace what the mind is designed to deny. If you are ready to heal the self, visit https://www.lisaaromano.com/12wbcp to learn how you can gain the tools, and insights to live an awakened, healed and empowered life.

When You Tick a Narcissist Off This Happens

Welcome to today's episode of the podcast, where we explore the fascinating and sometimes frightening world of narcissism. In this episode, we'll be discussing what happens when you tick off a narcissist. Narcissists are known for their self-centeredness and lack of empathy, but what happens when someone challenges their inflated sense of self? The answer is not pretty. First, let's talk about what a narcissist is. Narcissism is a personality disorder characterized by a grandiose sense of self-importance, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. Narcissists believe that they are superior to others and often have a sense of entitlement. They crave attention and will go to great lengths to get it. Now, let's get into what happens when you tick off a narcissist. When you challenge a narcissist's self-image or sense of superiority, they will often react with anger and aggression. This is because their ego is fragile, and any perceived threat to their self-image is seen as a personal attack. One common tactic that narcissists use when they feel threatened is gaslighting. Gaslighting is a form of emotional abuse where the narcissist will manipulate the victim into questioning their own reality. They will deny their behavior, twist the truth, and make the victim feel like they are crazy. This is a way for the narcissist to maintain their sense of superiority and control over the victim. Another way that narcissists react when they are challenged is by becoming defensive. They may lash out at the person who challenged them, accusing them of being jealous or envious. This is a way for the narcissist to deflect attention away from themselves and onto the person who challenged them. In extreme cases, narcissists may even become violent. This is because they see any challenge to their self-image as a threat to their very existence. They may become physically aggressive in an attempt to maintain their sense of control and superiority. So, what can you do if you find yourself in a situation where you've ticked off a narcissist? The best course of action is to disengage and remove yourself from the situation. Don't engage with the narcissist or try to reason with them. This will only escalate the situation. It's also important to seek support from friends, family, or a professional therapist. Dealing with a narcissist can be emotionally exhausting and can take a toll on your mental health. Having a support system can help you cope with the situation and protect yourself from further harm. S3 Ep 2The #1 Spiritual Reason to Learn About Narcissists/Escaping the Narcissists World of Virtual Reality

In this episode, you will learn about the #1 spiritual reason to learn about narcissism and why learning to accept what you cannot control can help you escape living in a narcissist's virtual reality world. The path to healing implies we are seeking inner peace, inner confidence, and inner clarity. To attain such spiritual mindsets, we must be clear about our goals. When learning about a narcissist in your life, narcissistic relationships, or toxic people, it is essential to remain mindful of where you are going. To heal from a toxic relationship and the manipulation tactics of a narcissist is to one day feel liberated from the virtual reality world a narcissist lives in. Emotions such as revenge and frustration will keep you tethered to their virtual reality world. Working to understand and learn about narcissism with a spiritually sound agenda and intention will help you discover the benefit of letting go, seeking grace, and refusing to argue or fight with a narcissist. It is possible to survive a narcissistic relationship and to thrive in ways you once only dreamed of. However, to achieve such a worthwhile goal, you must be mindful of the quality of your thoughts and your intentions for learning about narcissistic personality disorders. Narcissists offer the contrast to help you more clearly identify what you don't want and, therefore, what you prefer. We are all born asleep and remain in spiritual, mental, emotional, and vibrational slumber until we awaken. Narcissists refuse to awaken. Don't allow their slumber state to keep you stuck, falsely believing you can control what you cannot. If you are ready to confront the wounds of the past and develop inner peace, confidence, clarity and autonomy over your life despite a painful past, The 12 Week Breakthrough Coaching Program is a powerful transformative roadmap that can help you become the master of your emotions, mindset, beliefs, actions, and thoughts and thus your life. https://www.lisaaromano.com/12wbcp

Characteristics of Adult Children of Alcoholics Growing Up Invisible

When you are the adult child of an alcoholic, unfortunately, you are forced to live inside a family system that is rooted in denial. The children's problems in a home wrought with addiction go ignored. One of the major stumbling blocks for adult children of alcoholics is denial. We are those who enter into relationships without a strong sense of self and assume total responsibility for the outcomes of relationships. Our childhood homes were chaotic, and as adults, we seek control by controlling our emotions, never asking for help, and always waiting for the next shoe to drop.
