Novak Djokovic has another major under his belt. He won Wimbledon yesterday for the seventh time and now has 21 majors. One more and he will tie Rafael Nadal with 22 which is tops in the sport. However, due to the absurd restrictions in the United States Novak won't be allowed to enter the country. He is unvaccinated and thus can't enter the US. How absurd is this? If you're not vaccinated you can fly on a plane, eat at a restaurant, workout in a gym, but nope, ya can't come to the US. Novak can't get on his private jet and play in the US Open! Can we please calm down with the hype of NBA Summer League? The buildup for Orlando and Houston was like Alcindor and Hayes for crying out loud. The top pick in the draft Paulo Banchero of the Magic was 5-12 for 17 points and 4 rebounds. Jabari Smith who was taken third by the Rockets had just 10 points on 4-10 shooting and 7 rebounds. The Carolina Panthers were able to acquire Baker Mayfield from the Cleveland Browns for just a 5th round conditional pick! Not only that, but the Browns will pay most of his salary. On today's episode I discuss Draymond Green's apology for using the word c**n towards Kendrick Perkins. Draymond said that after speaking with Joe Dumars and Adam Silver he realized he was wrong. Really? It took talking to Dumars and Silver for you to recognize that the word c**n is a racial slur? I then discuss Chris Broussard's comments regarding Toronto. The Fox Sports host said Kevin Durant wouldn't play in Toronto because "it's a different situation that African Americans are used to being in". What the hell does that mean. Please explain Chris. I discuss the double standards regarding black people making "racist" comments compared to white players or broadcasters doing the same thing. When are we as a society going to just eradicate all racial slurs from our vocabulary regardless of ethnicity and who is speaking the words? Happy 4th everyone! How about Kevin Durant? What a joke! Great player, yes,, but to me he has tarnished his legacy. He won two rings with the Warriors. Big deal! The Warriors had already won a title before KD's arrival and won another after he left. Now he wants out of Brooklyn? How about the Nets say no? How about honoring your contract? Kings fans keep asking when is this team going to make the playoffs. The answer to me is pretty simple. As soon as De'Aaron Fox starts performing like a max player. Last season was not good for Fox to say the least. He played in only 59 games...his 3 point shooting was awful at 29% and shot 75% from the line. He also looked disinterested for much of the season. Yes, Fox played better upon the arrival of Sabonis, but I want a max player to be the guy night in, night out. So you want to make the playoffs Kings fans? Now that the NBA Draft is in the books now what Kings fans? Most feel the Kings drafted a solid player in Keegan Murray, but the Kings still have a lot of work to do. Free agency begins Friday and Kings Gm Monte McNair needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat if the Kings are to be a playoff team. Look at the top nine teams in the West last year. Who are the Kings better than? San Antonio was 10th with only 34 wins. Other than maybe the Spurs, I wouldn't put the Kings ahead of any of the top nine in the standings. Hey Monte, good luck! Last week Browns QB Deshaun Watson spoke to the media and reiterated his innocence regarding the 24 women accusing him of inappropriate sexual behavior. Yesterday Watson settled with 20 of the 24 women who are suing him. I am a bit confused. Congrats to the Warriors, but i for one am glad the season is over. For the most part, the NBA Playoffs was awful this year. I believe the league needs to reexamine their game.
