EESPN's Pat McAfee went to social media yesterday and responded to a tweet from co-worker Evan Fox who made fun of the new Michigan State uniforms. McAfee responded "I think Nassar was in on the design team actually". That is Nassar as in Larry Nassar who is currently serving a life sentence for a variety sexual assault and child pornography charges. The former doctor of US Gymnastics and Michigan St was sentenced to 140-360 years for his gross abuse mostly of young women. That's who McAfee uses to make a joke about a uniform? Really? I'm already looking forward to Week 5 of the NFL season when the Jets take on the Broncos. Yesterday new Broncos coach Sean Payton ripped to shred former coach and now offensive coordinator for the Jets, Nathaniel Hackett, in an interview with USA Today. NFL training camps are opening thanks goodness and on today's episode I give you my QB tiers. I have Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes at Tier 1 and only him. The reason is simple. All 32 GM's would take him if available. After that I give you my next group beginning with Aaron Rodgers. Yes, he had a poor season, but he is one year removed from being the MVP of the league. Mardy Fish had the ball on the tee with the lead when some idiot fan screamed during his back swing. Fish hooked his tee shot and ended up making par on the easy par 5 18th at Edgewood. Playing running back in the NFL seems to be a detriment these days. The position continues to be devalued and thus teams aren't giving out big contracts to running backs. Yesterday, Tony Pollard of the Cowboys, Josh Jacobs of the Raiders and Saquon Barkley of the Giants were unable to reach agreement on new deals. All three received franchise tags which will pay them $10.9 million for this season. If you want an example of what's wrong with this country, you'd be hard pressed to find a better example than ESPN. During their annual awards show this week they gave the Arthur Ashe Courage award to The US Women's Soccer team for their equal pay pursuit. ESPN then aired a video of former host and now FOX News host Will Cain from 2019. The only problem was ESPN edited the video and left out most of the things that Cain said about this topic as I play back his comments from 2019 on ESPN. Disgraceful! I then read an excerpt from Phil Mushnick's recent column in the NY Post talking about the injustice of ESPN's firing of tennis commentator Doug Adler. I had Doug on Episode 27 and play part of the interview I had with him. The message was quite simple. People in this country continue to turn their heads and remain silent about things that matter. Must be nice to be wealthy1 saints running back Alvin Kamara pleased no contest to a misdemeanor charge stemming from a fight the night before the Pro Bowl in Vegas in 2022. On today's episode I discuss yesterday's firing on longtime Northwestern Football Coach Pat Fitgerald. Fitzgerald was fired after 11 former and current players brought hazing allegations to the university hierarchy. I start the episode by playing the breaking news from ABC 7 News in Chicago. We also hear from former college and NFL QB Danny Kanell who did not hold back on his thoughts regarding the firing. Is this a case of panicking by the University, or are these allegations true and regardless of whether Fitgerald was aware or not, he still is culpable as the coach? Fitgerald released a statement last night and reaffirmed the investigation's finding that he was unaware of any hazing taking place. You better believe a big lawsuit is coming and it is only a matter of time before more facts come to light involving these allegations with the football program at Northwestern!
