On today's episode I preview the NFC. To me it is a repeat of last season with the 49ers and Eagles battling it out for the right to be in the Super Bowl. To me, Jalen Hurts is the difference! I think Hurts is close to being an elite QB. Many are riding the Lions and I think they will win the division at 10-7. I am not sold on the Vikings, and I don't see the Packers or Bears being quite ready. The Saints will win by default in the South, but I could see the Falcons making it interesting. On today's episode I preview the AFC. This is a conference with several teams that could be playing in February. All eyes are on the jets due to Aaron Rodgers but I see issues with their offensive line. Are the Bills ready to knock the door down? To me it's the same two teams, Kansas City and Cincinnati. What are the best divisions in the NFL? On today's episode I break down the best division in each conference. I believe they are both in the East! I feel the AFC East and NFC East are the best divisions top to bottom in the NFL. I could see three teams in each division making the playoffs. Last season the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants were all in the postseason. Can we please stop with all the Trey Lance talk? Here's the bottom line. Lance hasb't shown anyone that he is a starting caliber QB in the NFL. No matter how you slice it the 49ers made a big mistake when they traded three first picks and a third rounder in 2021 to move from the 12th pick to the 3rd pick. Colin Cowherd is a host on FS1. Fox Sports pays him millions of dollars a year and yet Cowherd continues to show everyone that he doesn't what the heck he's talking about. A few weeks ago he had Dwayne Haskins on a list of NFL QB's that will never win a Super Bowl. That is accurate, but we know someone who's deceased won't win a SB! Recently on his FS1 program Cowherd was talking about Seattle QB Geno Smith and said " I don't see Geno holding up the AFC Championship Trophy over a Mahomes or a Burrow." The King's have Skal Labissiere back. The former 2016 first round pick signed a partially guaranteed one year deal. For the record, I love Skal. He is a great guy, but let's please temper the excitement. I will be surprised if he suits up for many games if any at all this season. On Saturday night 49ers QB Trey Lance looked pretty good, at least in my eyes. He was 12-18 for 173 yards with one TD and one Interception. He led the 49ers from behind to win the game. On Saturday's ESPN's Sportscenter that night anchor Zubin Mehenti said "Boy, Trey Lance just had another dismal outing. 49ers win late. What a shame to see what's going on with retired NFL player Michael Oher who was portrayed in the 2009 movie "The Blind Side". Oher is suing the family that took Oher into their home as a high school student. Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy are the parents in the movie and they made a statement that "we're devastated". Let's wait until the facts come out before we judge anyone here and for those of you who think Sandra Bullock should give back her Oscar for her role in the movie because of the controversy....you need to get a life! The NBA releases their schedule tomorrow and we already know the Kings first two games. At Utah on the 25th and the home opener is a rematch of April's playoff series vs the Warriors on national TV. It will be a good opportunity for the Kings Domantas Sabonis to show he can play well against Golden St. He did not perform well in that series and just recently Bleacher Report named the three time all-star the most overrated player in the league. On today's episode I examine the situation with Baltimore Orioles announcer Kevin Brown. Brown was reportedly suspended because of factual comments made about the Orioles and their futility against the Rays back on July 24th. I let you listen to Brown's comments. Decide for yourself. I also talk about the how the Orioles are being embarrassed by this decision to suspend their announcer. The US Women's soccer team wrapped up an embarrassing World Cup yesterday and I must admit, I was happy when Megan Rapinoe missed a penalty kick that may have cost the US a chance to move on.
